Wow, what a gem and incredible addition to Old Town Scottsdale. The lush courtyard is beautiful and the indoor dining room is elegant with the view into the magic happening in the kitchen. The service was choreographed like a beautiful ballet performance the way they set down and pick up dishes in sync. Every dish was a work of art and tasted as good as it looked. Wine selection was top notch. Shout out to our server Zephan who was both friendly and professional.

We had an excellent brunch there this morning. The pancake were works of delicious art! The mushroom truffle omelet was rich and well balanced. The burger was one of the best I have eaten. If you are tired of yet another smash burger you will be delighted by this incredible burger. The bun was maybe the best part of many excellent parts. Highly recommend

Found this hidden gem by chance on a walk. They have just opened. Went for a girls brunch. Spectacular cocktails our favorite was the I go where Hugo a Prosecco , lime, cucumber marvel of a cocktail. All of the food items were fabulous. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The attention to detail is incredible. Get here before they are truly discovered.

I am visiting from out of state and I have to say I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The service was warm, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere and ambiance were absolutely perfect! Relaxing, stylish, and thoughtfully designed to create a great dining experience. The food was exceptional. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented! If you’re looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend you visit Anhelo!

Anhelo is truly a restaurant of ambience and service. Our experience was great. But primarily because of service. We chose the bar and à la cart option. Scallops and beef Wellington. Probably an off night for kitchen as neither was that amazing, however service made up for it. One surprise was the cheesecake dessert. It was very very good. Props to bar man.

Anhelo Restaurant, now located in Old Town Scottsdale, truly lives up to its name—derived from the Spanish word for "desire"—by delivering an elevated dining experience that goes beyond food and into the realm of art. At the helm is Chef Ivan Jacobo, whose vision is to craft meals that spark conversation, stir emotion, and leave lasting memories. Our evening began with cocktails by Azalea, the resident craft-cocktail creator, including the innovative *Patisserie Milk Punch* made with butter croissant fat-washed rum, Spanish vanilla, amaretto hazelnuts, and Amaro Averna—a silky, layered drink that set the tone for the night. From there, we moved into five beautifully executed dishes, each showcasing Chef Jacobo’s balance of creativity and technical mastery. A standout was the *Chawanmushi*—a delicate egg custard enriched with lobster, chive, onion, brioche crouton, and six-month-aged Manchego—that was as memorable as it was refined. With a lineup of innovative, flavorful, and visually stunning dishes, Anhelo delivers one of the most exceptional culinary experiences in Scottsdale and should be at the top of any fine dining list.

Anhelo has a beautiful atmosphere and the Scottsdale backdrop is much more suitable than its previous location in downtown Phoenix. Immediately, you’ll notice the landscaping that compliments the desert and pays homage to the original neighborhood of Scottsdale premiere restaurants. What really stood out to us, was chef Ivan’s hospitality. He took us on a detailed tour of the new space and shared his vision and backstory with us. You could feel his humility was genuine and that same energy resonated throughout the other staff members as well. The food taste amazing and the presentation was done very well. I believe it’s a new menu and may change in the future so I didn’t get too attached, but I’m sure whatever direction they settle in will be just as great if not better. Where Anhelo stands out from the crowd of other white cloth restaurants, is their drink menu anchored bar. Although everything is immaculate and screams luxury, it doesn’t feel stuffy. The perfect ambience for Scottsdale and its casual luxury vibe. The drinks are thoughtfully curated and taste as good as they look. I highly recommend checking out this new kid on the block. Literally, chef Ivan is a young man who operates a chef&owner and is we involved in the Phoenix community giving back to kids who come from humble beginnings aspire to level up their lives.. just as he did!

My boyfriend and I had the most fabulous, romantic dinner. From start to finish was impeccable. Would recommend this to anyone looking for incredible food, wine and an amazingly romantic experience

If you’re looking for a romantic fine dining experience this is the place. Great customer service from the time you arrive and professional and courteous throughout our visit. We had a 3 course meal with wine pairing. All dishes were presented beautifully, and delicious. The wine selection was perfect. The steak tartare was prepared flawlessly, seasoned just right. For our main courses we had the Bison steak and Octopus. The octopus was executed perfectly, soft in the middle, with just the right amount for bite, and cooked just right. I’ve experienced a lot chewy octopus in the valley and this dish was not one of them. Overall a very pleasant experience. I am curious to try other dishes and definitely be visiting again.

A restaurant worth going to over and over again. All your senses will thank you! Not a single detail missed. I went with a group of fabulous ladies. Chef guided us through the delicious, beautiful journey of his creations—always changing daily! Perfect for a date night night, group celebration, but personally I would like to go back again and dine solo—just so I can take in the whole experience with no distractions from conversations. Just me and the art. Don’t skip the wine list or cocktail list either!

My experience at Anhelo was spectacular! The service, atmosphere, and food was definitely a 5 star experience. I enjoyed Chef Ivan's 7 course tasting experience with the 2oz optional wine paring which were put together perfectly with each course. The service was impeccable. Everyone seemed genuinely cheerful professional & welcoming. The atmosphere was elegant with popular instrumental music playing in the background. The food was perfect. Our culinary journey started with sweet, tart, and slightly spicy flavors. Each course was timed perfectly while eventually ending with rich, savory, decadent flavors. Looking forward to returning in the very near future. Thank you!

This is my favorite spot downtown. The staff is amazing, from John’s superior cocktails crafted to perfection to Sandra’s attention to detail and Juan’s welcoming smile and service. Not to mention Chef Ivan’s perfectly curated tasting menus. This is a hidden gem that shines as bright as the cosmos!

BEST EVERYTHING!! My husband and I went in for the first time on our last date before parenthood (I’m due with our first on Wednesday and thrilled that doc gave the okay to have medium rare steak), and we couldn’t have picked a classier dining experience. We were blown away by the service, atmosphere, and the beautifully prepared and delicious food. We both cleaned our plates for every gorgeous serving, which was always professionally presented and cleared. They were also very considerate to make sure I had true non-alcoholic bubbly that actually tasted like wine! The attention from the staff was the best we’ve ever seen. Truly an impressive business that sets the bar so high for all other restaurants!! At the end of our meal the owner came by with a special gift for our unborn baby girl. Never has a restaurant gone out their way like that for either of us before. Actual tears of joy from me. 🥹 Five stars doesn’t feel like enough because they really went out of their way to ensure we had a great time! We are looking forward to going back soon to do the chef’s choice with wine pairings!

Wonderful dining experience. Enjoyed an array of cocktails and menu items, each of which were delicious and beautifully presented. The freshness of the ingredients is immediately apparent, as well as the Chef’s talent for bringing flavors together. The Crudo, Agnolotti, and Wellington were my favorite dishes. The ambiance exemplified what fine dining should, with some good romantic vibes and a hint of swank. The service was 11\10. Definitely recommend, and will be returning.

Absolutely stunning experience. Staff was welcoming, warm, and attentive. Started with a sparkling toast to celebrate a birthday. The combination of papaya and pomegranate on the foie gras was so interested and well balanced and refreshing plus the buttered brioche wow. The cauliflower with anchovy butter is other worldly, the anchovy butter is a showstopper. The octopus main course was beautifully cooked grilled outside soft and sweet inside, the pork belly was so crispy perfect blend of textures and flavors. Dessert and cocktails were spectacular. The attention to detail and even the smallest of details like the cilantro on my sisters crudo just took every dish above and beyond. Did not have anything we didn’t absolutely love. Highly recommend.

I went here for Mother’s Day brunch. The eggs Benedict bread was a little bit tough but other than pretty good meal. The vibe in the restaurant doesn’t feel like most restaurants in valley. It is a good kind of different. The service was great too. Taste 19/20 Flavor 18/20 Smells 20/20 Looks: 17/20 Appearance 20/20 94/100

Updated Review 1/10/23 My son chose Anhelos again for his 25th Bday and again they did not disappoint! We were so excited to see Juan still there and that after a year he still remembered us. Congratulations on your promotion! This year we had Jessica as our server and she was excellent. Very attentive, great explanation of menu and offered great recommendations. We ended up trying the tasting menu w/ the 2 OZ wine pairings. Hector was our Sommelier for the evening and the pairings he offered completely elevated our meal. The tasting menu...Just WOW everything was just delectable and luxurious. It was just a lovely experience. We had the Hamachi scallop, Oyster, Cooked scallop w/ butternut squash puree, Duck, Wagyu filet, and dessert. We also had a couple cocktails. Everything was Chef's Kiss! We also had the opportunity to meet Ryan, one of the Partners. We appreciated the opportunity to meet him and were grateful for his attention. We also liked the changes they made to the restaurant, the ambiance reminds me of a posh NYC restaurant. It's cozy and sexy. Again cannot speak enough to the level of service. From the synchronized plating, to the food presentation and the servers ensuring that your experience is at a high level. Words cannot explain our overall appreciation we have for this restaurant, hands down this is our favorite restaurant in Phoenix. Thank you for the special attention and making my son's 25th bday a memorable night. 1/9/22 review I took my family to Anhelo for the first time for my son's 24th bday. We went a bit early (6pm) due to having my mom, but it was a beautiful intimate experience w/ lovely dinner music playing in the background. We loved the experience from start to finish. Juan was our server and he was AMAZING, very kind, gave amazing recommendations from the menu, wine pairings w/ our meal and was very attentive. Service....TOP NOTCH from food presentation and delivery. We actually needed to wait for our food to be delivered because my son left to the rest room and it was his bday dinner. Juan described each of our meals to perfection. Quality of food...again 5 Stars!! Beautiful plating and presentation. Everything was amazing. We ordered quite a bit and everything was delicious. Our favorites: Steak Tartare, Beef Wellington, Seabream fish, all cocktails and desserts. Price - Don't go here if you don't appreciate paying for a quality meal and experience because you won't walk away paying under $100 unless maybe by yourself. Having said that we personally were very impressed w/ the quality of food and service in relation to total cost. For us hands down best meal we've had at that price for a long time. To give you an idea if what we paid for: 1 hot appetizer, 3 entrees, 1 dessert and 10 cocktails (vodka, whiskey and wine) and our total was roughly $387. To us for good food and service is a steal. My only complaint - they need to improve the bathroom situation...Does not match ambiance of such a beautiful dinner experience. Perfect place for a date night or special evening out!! Our entire family HIGHLY RECOMMENDS!! We will be back for the Chef's Tasting Menu. One other thing to note....They are in a new location. Our uber dropped us off at original location and luckily driver hadn't left yet because it would have been a 15 min. Walk. I would have died lol. Thank you JUAN for making my baby boys 24th a 24K night!!

I usually do my fine dining in Scottsdale, but one of my goals this year was to try more restaurants in Phoenix. Anhelo was on my list of the top places to try. To start off, commutation was spot on from the second I set the reservation. They called me and asked if I was taking Uber or driving in and gave me advice on how to best get there. Service was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We were always checked on and food came out in a timely manner. Started off with a couple cocktails which were great, and the Crudo and Ricotta Dumplings. The dumplings were quite tasty but the crudo was something real special. Probably the best I’ve had. The chef even gave us complimentary caviar which was unexpected, but highly appreciated. Although it was only myself and my fiancé, we had to get 3 entrees to give ourselves a bit of a tasting menu since it all sounded so good. We went with the Agnolotti, Beef Wellington, and the Scallops. All were absolutely delicious! Usually, I would always favor a steak dish, but in this case, the Agnolotti took the cake. To end our night, we asked what dessert would travel well since we were too full to enjoy it during our stay. The chocolate mousse was recommended and so that’s what we did. I’m wiring this review before indulging in it, but I’m not too worried given the rest of our experience. I can’t recommend Anhelo enough. We thoroughly enjoyed the intimate environment and experience. We will definitely be back.

Fine dining in downtown Phoenix, this place is perfect for your next fine dining experience. Worth the price for the service and food. The food was good, drinks were great, and the service was the best part. The staff were very accommodating and checked on us all night, offered suggestions on drinks, and were very friendly. The drinks were delicious, very unique flavors. We had the smoked old fashioned, the Paloma, and a gin drink. All were very tasty. For dinner I would recommend steak tartare, the scallop, and the Beef Wellington. We also tried the Wagyu sample and it was cooked just right, very juicy and full of flavor. For dessert definitely would recommend the deconstructed chocolate cake. Usually I love creme brulee but theirs comes out cold/frozen which I wasn't ready for. We will definitely be back!

Update 1/25/23: Holy smokes, Anhelo still crushes it! Came here for my second birthday in a row last night, and I really think this spot can’t be beat. The service, the food, the cocktails and wine, everything - just so spot on! The attention they place on providing amazing service and tailored recommendations is just so perfect. My dinner there absolutely made my birthday the best! I highly recommend coming for a special occasion or a random Wednesday if it strikes you, who cares - just go eat at Anhelo. All our dishes were great, but the Wellington was absolutely incredible. The ricotta dumplings are delish too, and get yourself some white and/or black truffles to get extra fancy. Major thanks to the Chef and Partner last night, and our wonderful server. Review from 9/30/22: Celebrated our anniversary with the Chef’s tasting menu. The moment we walked inside, the service was great. They asked how our drive was and if we found parking okay. The ambiance is nice for a date night or special occasion. We ordered the Chef’s tasting menu which was 7 courses at $200/pp. The food was delicious with some stand outs like the freshly shaved white and black truffles, incredible scallops, and wagyu short rib. It was nice to speak with the Chef and we could tell he really cared about our experience. The cocktails were great, and they have an extremely extensive wine by the bottle list. If you like wine, you absolutely need to come here. They have accolades about their wine list actually. Overall, our experience was perfect and Anhelo is my top choice for fine dining in Phoenix.

This was the best Valentines that we have spent in years. The service was fantastic, the food was AMAZING and the atmosphere was incredible. We were so excited to hear about the history of the house and see the updates. We chose the chefs choice four course meal and it was so fun! We had no idea what was coming next and we were surprised by each course. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and executed. We left feeling full and excited to return for another meal.

I took my wife here for her birthday and I don't think I could have picked a better place. From the food to the service, everything was absolutely sensational. Justin was very knowledgeable with the wine selection and provided us with the best service I had to this day. This is probably the best restaurant I have visited in Phoenix. The food was so amazing I didn't get a picture of everything and had to taste it right away. Thanks Anhelo for a phenomenal experience !

Great dining experience, solid food executed very well but overall no showstoppers that quite justifies the price. We had a short business trip to Phoenix and we wanted to try one of their higher rated places. We got the tasting menu and a bottle of wine instead of the pairings. I confused Roger Perrin with Famille Perrin but overall it was an enjoyable bottle. Though nothing was particularly spectacular, every dish was executed well. The starter with the steak tartare on a meaty west coast oyster was surprisingly a great combination although perhaps would have been enhanced had the oyster been chopped up a bit to mix with the tartare instead of just resting at the bottom. The mushroom risotto, pan seared scallops, and the trout were all cooked perfectly but overall forgettable- nothing spectacular about these flavours or the accompany purées stands out in my memory after the fact. The duck was more interesting in that it had a nice, sweetened crust that balanced out the saltiness and fat but was a bit under-seasoned. The real star of the entire course was the beef Wellington- a dish you don’t see very often these days- it was perfectly cooked- both the puff pastry and the tenderloin itself, and the jus had exactly the right amount of flavour and seasoning. I only wish the portion size were a bit larger for this one. The dessert was also something more memorable- a deconstructed pumpkin cheesecake resting on a powdered graham cracker crust with pumpkin seeds and drizzled with caramel- very nice presentation and very tasty. The service was impeccable. The waitresses and sommelier were all very friendly, highly knowledgeable, and a joy to chat with. For others, I would probably recommend skipping the tasting menu and ordering some of these dishes including the Wellington and oysters a la carte so as to skip some of the more forgettable offerings.

This was such a beautiful dining experience. The attention to detail with the service, food, wine pairings it is evident that Anehlo is aptly named. We felt everyone from the hostess, wait staff, somelier and chef had that desire to provide us with an exceptional experience. Of our choices, the beets & yogurt, crudo, ricotta dumplings, octopus and waygu short rib were our favorites. The wine pairings were perfect, the chocolate mousse was delightful. The entire staff was attentive, personable and friendly, joking with us and not stuffy at all. A follow up call from the manager was a very special touch. The atmosphere is elegant, minimalist and intimate. A real gem in Downtown Phoenix, we will be back.

Such an amazing place to celebrate the joys of life. The staff is great from the servers, bartenders to Chef Ivan. My wife and I celebrated a big moment with some top notch food. Everytime we visit Anhelo they seem to get better. The Wild Mushrooms with shallots and garlic were so luxurious. There was a special with Tuna flown in from Fiji that was so fresh and delicious. The halibut was a big hearty piece cooked to perfection with flakiness and a crisp top, the butter beans with Spanish chorizo were a perfect complement to the softness of the fish. Plus the bartender TJ was creating high-end cocktails using Carreño Mezcal that were complex and smooth. The ingredients he blended together were just as high quality as the food served with made a complete meal elevation! Highly recommend visiting Anhelo to celebrate your great moments in life.

Everything about this place was amazing.. the food, the service and the ambiance. Beef wellington was perfect!, scallops were so fresh and delicate...great flavor! they start you off with a complimentary splash of champagne which I thought was a sweet touch. Drinks are quality too. Will definitely be coming back. Try their apple tart!

If you ever get a chance to eat here TAKE IT. Honestly the best meal of my life. The service was also phenomenal. We did the tasting menu, quite expensive but worth it. They accommodated my food allergy and each dish was presented simultaneously by a waiter for each diner. Also, often tasting menu portions and miniscule because you have so many courses and you end up still hungry at the end. That was not the case here. They we're just the right size so at the end we were all satisfied, even our biggest eater. This should be everyone's go to for special occasions. I can't wait to go back!

Absolutely delicious. Food and drink were spectacular. Friend got scallops and said they were to die for and my other friend got the risotto and was in love. I got the pork chop and wanted more. They have their own garden and I watched them pick the herbs to make our dinner. This place is great!

Anhehlo is not just a restaurant. It’s an incredible experience! My husband and I have traveled the world, having been to 26 counties and numerous Michelin restaurants and we can say without zero hesitation that what chef Ivan and team have put together is nothing short of amazing! This is hands down the BEST FINE DINING experience in Phoenix/Scottsdale. Chef Ivan combines impeccable taste with an upscale downtown vibe that is elegant and intimate. The perfect ambiance as you navigate your way through the delicious masterpieces he creates. Ever dish seriously blew us away! The service was top tier and everything was incredibly detailed right down the burgundy wax sealed menus and rose shaped butter. The wine list curated by Ryan was simply spectacular! One glance and you realize it has been carefully selected to be out of the ordinary and provide a next level experience. Finally!!! ANHELO is exactly what the valley has been missing. A wonderful experience through and through.

Anhelo is an absolute gem. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth, elegance, and an atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between upscale and inviting. It’s not just a meal here, it’s an experience. The service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive without being overbearing, and clearly passionate about the food. Every course was timed perfectly, and we felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish. Now let’s talk about the food, wow. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. The flavors were bold but balanced, creative yet comforting. I had the diver scallops and it was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. The textures, the seasoning, the attention to detail, flawless. Even the wine pairings were spot-on. You can tell that serious thought has gone into curating both the menu and the overall dining experience. Anhelo is the kind of place that makes you slow down and savor every bite. It’s perfect for a special occasion or if you just want to treat yourself to something truly exceptional. I can’t wait to come back. Do yourself a favor, make a reservation. This place is the real deal.

Move over Cafe Monarch! Each course of the Grand Tasting menu was a delightful surprise, showcasing incredible culinary creativity and meticulous attention to detail, making our evening truly unforgettable. The expertly curated wine pairings by the chef and sommelier elevated our dining experience to new heights. Time slipped away unnoticed, and before we knew it, three and a half hours had passed in pure bliss. The valet warmly greeted us by name on arrival, setting the tone for the night. As the kitchen sign says, "Every Second Counts," and every moment at Anhelo was made extraordinary by the staff, creating a perfect date night for my wife and me.

Had a wonderful romantic anniversary dinner — the team went above and beyond to make the night feel special. The food was amazing, and we found ourselves sharing bites all evening. The cocktails were outstanding, and the new location is beautiful. The patio is definitely the spot for a romantic dinner. Thank you for such a memorable evening!

We went to the new Anhelo in Scottsdale last evening. It was fantastic. The service and experience were exceptional. It started with being greeted by name at the valet. The restaurant and grounds are beautiful. We sat on the patio for dinner. Chef’s tasting menu was excellent, as was the presentation, both on the dish and by the staff when brought to the table. We added caviar, which was nom. Our servers were very attentive and fun. Overall, this was a very top notch experience, and very happy we went for a special night out. Highly recommended.

We did not eat there but my girlfriend and I were looking for a quiet place to grab some cocktails before going home for the evening and stumbled upon this place. Marson the bartender was amazing. He has a wealth of knowledge on liquors and made some fantastic cocktails for us. He also gave us some recommendations for some cool attractions to visit while we’re in town. We’ll absolutely be back to visit next time we’re in town!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Anhelo Restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale, and it was a truly memorable evening. We’d been wanting to try Anhelo ever since it first opened in downtown Phoenix, so when they moved closer to home, it was finally time — and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere: The space is absolutely stunning. Scottsdale needs more restaurant designs like this — modern, moody, and elegant, with “fine dining from The Bear” vibes. It manages to feel both sophisticated and comfortable, setting the stage perfectly for a special occasion. Service: Top-notch from start to finish. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and clearly cared about our experience. Several team members congratulated us on our anniversary, and Chef Ivan even sent over a complimentary glass of champagne — a thoughtful touch that really stood out. Drinks: Their wine list is exceptional. Hats off to the wine director for curating such a deep and diverse list at refreshingly fair prices (especially for Scottsdale). I enjoyed a glass of Pierre Peters Blanc de Blancs Champagne, while my wife loved her crafted cocktail — beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Food: Anhelo offers a tasting menu–only experience, with three menu formats the night we dined (soon changing to one or two). We opted for the petit tasting, which was the perfect amount of food — beautifully plated, inventive, and delicious from start to finish. Each course was thoughtful and refined, the kind of dishes that make you feel like you’re dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Napa or NYC, not Arizona. Where it fell just shy of a perfect 5: My wife has a gluten allergy, which I had noted at booking and confirmed twice with staff before our dinner. While every dish she received was made gluten-free, it felt a bit reactive rather than fully integrated into the menu. For example, there was no GF bread substitute for the standard bread service, and the caviar course we ordered was ultimately canceled because there wasn’t a suitable GF “vessel.” Later, her entrée — originally the lobster tortellini — arrived reimagined as a shrimp dish without prior notice. It was delicious, but understandably a bit of a surprise when expecting lobster. To be clear, this feedback is highly specific to our situation and doesn’t detract from what was otherwise a stellar experience. For most guests, Anhelo will deliver a flawless fine-dining evening. Overall: Anhelo is one of the most exciting culinary experiences in Arizona right now — incredible food, impeccable service, and a dining room that feels special the moment you walk in. We’ll absolutely be back and look forward to seeing how this talented team continues to evolve.

To start, I really loved all of the food and the ambiance was very nice. The poutine was delicious and the house special pasta was quite flavorful. I would definitely go back just for the food, the quality and flavors were special. I’m only removing one star because of the service, which was ok but walking in around 9pm on a Saturday night, the vibe that we received made us feel like we weren’t wanted as patrons. Overall, I would definitely recommend Anhelo, just wish the service hadn’t left something to be desired.

My friend and I had reservations that was rescheduled because part of the dining room was leaking. When we returned a week later we were provided a bottle of sparkling wine. We had the tasting menu which had a lot of great items on it. The strangest was the food foie gras ice cream. It was good but just an unusual taste sensation. The restaurant is beautiful an very intimate. It is a great place for a date.

I really enjoyed the food and presentation. The restaurant has a very romantic vibe; went with a group of girlfriends so initially that was weird. That being said there were a few groups, including one with their child. Some of the wait staff were off putting, however over all the service was good. Cute interior and loved the charm of the old house in which the restaurant is located. They even have their Anhelo wine that donates a portion to charty for children with heart conditions.

Great staff and beautiful place. I thought the food was very very good. I wouldn’t say above and beyond though. I would for sure go back and try other items. What I love is that their menu is focused and seasonal. And has very unique flavor and style. Plates are beautiful. The place is quiet and should be good for a date night.

A
Ana Alvarez

Great service, details and ambience BUT the food was lacking if you compare to other restaurants of similar price point. The food was a hit and a miss. Loved the octopus but the Wagyu beef was served luke-warm and got cold and gummy quickly. I couldn’t finish it because of the texture. I expected every dish would be amazing and it wasn’t. Dessert was good but, again, I was not wowed. Would not return for the price. I can get exceptional, consistent taste at other restaurants for the same price point.

My husband and I shared the 34oz tomahawk. It was AMAZING. Complementary bread was given. The tomahawk was more than enough for 2 people and we didn’t really need to have another side, I just wanted it. We went on the reopening night and they were a little short staffed. This new location is bigger than the other place they had before. I still thought it was kinda close to other people since I could hear their convos. This was our first time eating at a fancy place in downtown though. Might be cramped everywhere downtown.

I never give reviews but I'm blown away by not only the level and quality of good, but the service. Marcin at the bar was exceptional !!!! The food including the mushroom soup, scallops, aged fillet are unmatched!!! Has to be one of the top restaurants in Arizona!!!!

K
K Harmon

Overall, the experience was underwhelming. The food was mid-quality and lacked standout flavor. The dessert was also not what was listed on the menu—it was replaced with a deep-fried option that was a funnel cake from the carnival not a fine-dining dessert. For a $600+ meal for two, I expected more. Considering the cost, there are better dining options in the area.

Anhelo made the cut while exploring fine dining scene in Phoenix based on reviews and menu description. Let me start by saying the menu looked very good and promising but food quality, cooking, taste and presentation were all subpar and below average for a fine dining restaurant. Flavors were bland, one dish came in too hot and beef wasn’t cooked as requested. Service and staff were both nice, friendly and helpful. Ambience is nice and romantic. Decor is simple and elegant. They have a good looking bar and a new drinks menu just dropped per our waiter. We tried couple drinks and they were good, I liked The Mayor. They do have a decent wine list as well. We asked about desserts but weren’t provided a menu but based on the waiter description, we didn’t order, seemed basic and not very exciting

We came for our anniversary on a Saturday to celebrate and unfortunately were underwhelmed with the 8 course chef tasting menu. Courses either lacked flavor/bland, were way over cooked (short rib), or just didn’t really make sense in terms of composition. Service staff and atmosphere were great, but the food was just lacking in flavor for $200/pp. Total damage with drinks, taxes, and tip ended up being about $700 total. There seems to be an ongoing trend where fewer and fewer places are really measuring up in terms of cost and quality of food anymore. Unfortunately can’t recommend this place to friends and family.
