It was super busy during the old car show in Seal beach. I got my food within 10 minutes, that includes standing in line to order. I ordered a fish burrito and honestly, I was so surprised at how tasty and fresh it was. I admit to having low expectations, but this really was good. I live very close by, but have never been to this place and all these years. I will be going back.
I love this place! The food is very good. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ever ordered there. The staff is polite and courteous. They make sure you have enough to drink and if you want more chips and salsa. I love their chunky beef super burrito. But if you like carne asada, or carnitas, the individual dinners are amazing. My wife loves their enchiladas and tacos. Whenever we are in Seal Beach and want Mexican food we head to El Burrito JR!
Great place by the pier. Love the food and service at a fair price. Recommended if you like tasty Mexican food that will fill you up.
Will be back for the bean and cheese burrito!!! The tortilla was homemade and hit the spot. A little overpriced so will definitely get the special next time
Fast service no frills restaurant with food cooked with passion. They gave chips and salsa. I Ordered the super deluxe wet burrito de al pastor. Delicious. Washed it down with a half liter of imported Coke. 20 bucks total. When I come back to Seal Beach later this summer, I will DEFINITELY RETURN to El Burrito Jr to try their other plates.
I love burrito Junior man that was a big wet burrito I had that day delicious I almost didn't finish it but I knew I could finish because I didn't have breakfast that morning so I inhaled that burrito. Anyway I had bike ride all the way to seal Beach where I ate at El Burrito Junior outside. Good thing they had some tables outside also because that day I forgot my bike lock it wasn't my first choice to eat there but after I chose to eat at El Burrito Junior I was glad that I had something in my stomach. Glad I had chose to eat at El Burrito Jr it was a great day down at seal Beach and it was a good bike ride as well .I I recommend El Burrito Jr it will fill you up for a long time delicious food and good service I would go again. But since I live in Long Beach I am not able to go and just ride down to seal Beach all the time when I do I will see if I could get one of their burritos man those things are huge but delicious. Depending on what you get anyway. 🤤🌯
We went yesterday and we are so happy to find this great restaurant! The food is the best! It is very authentic Mexican food! And great customer service! We will definitely be back again! ❤️🙌
Sorry to the haters! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion! We live in E.L.A/Montebello area. We have some pretty good food out here! This place is really good! We have been coming here for over 20 year’s and it hasn’t changed! It’s so good we will drive here just to eat from L.A. keep up the good food my Raza!👍
We love the food here it's a bit pricy but worth it. The best time to enjoy this place is the winter it gets very busy in the summer and some times parking is hard to find.when it's busy In the summer the service is not great they are some times under staffed. The salsa is great but the chips are greasy and large so you have to break into pieces. In the winter parking is easy the service is good and it's across the street from the beach.
Great food better than most Mexican. Restaurant s
Fast and friendly service. Food quality food.
Stopped here for dinner after a day on the ocean. Excellent food, service, and prices. One of the best spots in the area.
We went for a weekday lunch when the wait was too long at the Hangout. Glad to have found this place with no wait. The ceviche and fish burrito were delicious, and we enjoyed the free chips and salsa. Be aware that it is cash only.
Service was so on point. Changed out order twice after being served due to cheese allergies for my son and they were so nice about it without hesitation. We drive from Downey to seal beach for good mexican food.
Extremely tasty food and the best customer service experience you can possibly have
We have been dining here for many years. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their hard shell chicken tacos are the best
This place is amazing! The food is always in point! Everyone works so hard here, and they always check on your table to make sure you're doing okay! Very attentive. Great service and even better food! What more could you ask for?
Love the bean and cheese burrito here. The potato taquitos are also incredible! Amazing salsa and guacamole. Always the nicest service!
i have been coming here since I was in high school. the best staff. the best chips and salsa. the best bean and cheese burrito. it’s so good
With so many places to choose from, we decided on dining in for some Mexican food. They have a very large selection of items so it did take some time to decide on what to actually order. There’s a basket of fried tortillas that you do need to break up before dipping into the salsa. We ordered the shrimp fajitas plate that were served without vegetables, as requested that came with rice and beans. A wet burrito that was big enough to be split and shared with an a la cart shrimp soft taco. Everything was delicious and we really enjoyed the alcoholic beverages that were served with lime and chili. The staff really interacts with their patrons to make sure everyone is getting what they need. The empty dishes are cleared as soon as the staff sees them and the tables are cleared right away after people leave. The prices are pretty standard and the atmosphere was very friendly with the Olympics being shown on a TV.
An charming Mexican restaurant facing the ocean in seal beach. The takeout line can be long but it’s worth the wait. We went inside and WOW ! The interior is filled with great murals everywhere. The food choices had a large variety and the prices were very reasonable. Good bar too. The customer service is fast and helpful. Totally Enjoyed our meals and we will definitely be back with friends and family. Support this local gem.
Lunch with my momma. We love Seal Beach and she has never been here so it was a no brainer to have her try something new. And….. it is Tuesday so Taco Tuesday it is!! We sat inside because it was horribly windy today. Plenty of tables available. We glanced at the menu, ordered and started chomping on chips and salsa. We got our food super fast, too, before we filled up on the chips! Mom had a carne asada burrito and I had 2 shredded beef tacos a la carte. She really enjoyed her burrito. My tacos were excellent. It’s a cash only restaurant but they have an atm machine inside. You can also order at the window and take your food to the beach, park or home.
This restaurant is above and beyond GREAT. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's a 12. Give yourself a gift of joy and happiness. Please try it out. You will be glad you did.
Brought my dad here for Father’s Day without a reservation and they seated us quick. The food came out at a decent pace, and we enjoyed our lunch before heading to the boardwalk.
Perfect prices and meal quantities. The fajitas were super yummy, and the service was outstanding! Perfect location at Seal Beach as well. We'll definitely be back!
The food is outstanding and authentic taqueria fare! The staff is exceptionally accommodating!
LBJs is the best. I have been going here for years and have never been disappointed. No matter what you order it's going to be good food with great staff.
Good food and sercice. Loved it but a small problem for guys like me who don't carry cash since they only take cash but have a ATM machine inside to help you with cash.
Always the nicest service.Just a little hole in the wall, casual Mexican restaurant.Good food, good prices.

My family had a great experience eating here. The service was on point. They were very attentive. We not once had to ask for a refill on drinks or extra chips and salsa. The food came out really fast. The food was priced appropriately. We had 5 of us and our bill was $109 with everyone having sodas. They do have a cash only as payment which I can see a turnoff for some. But there is a ATM inside the business. If I lived in town I could give a better review on the food. I myself had a tamale, enchilada with rice and beans. I personally enjoyed it. The rest of my family enjoyed their plates as well. But had a hard time finishing due to large portions. So bring your appetites. Or be prepared to box up the rest to enjoy later.
Many eateries within 10 miles but for authentic Mexican food: HERE at this place. Very good and reasonably priced. Nice employees. Kindness & good eats -goes far: we’ve been coming here over 10 years.

Over the years I ate here once in a blue moon and I never really liked this place, the food and the wait staff was always rude. Gave it a try the other night, ordered a tamale, and a enchilada. To my surprise they were really good. Went back a few days later and my meal was good again. Will return to see if three times a charm.
If you're looking for a standard/generic Mexican place to eat, this'll be your best bet. Nice Mexican decorations and a mural on one wall + a big TV playing sports (usually). Food is actually good and the plates are big so make sure you're extra hungry!

There is a big fly inside inside the restaurant. We were seated close to the open door to ventilate inside. Restrooms, my neighbor friend was not able to wash his hands; had to use the woman restroom. Advice is have take out order since my bf, fiancé and I were avidly enjoying it.🌞☀️🌤😎
Not authentic Mexican food. Very generic and bland. They do serve a lot if you’re hungry though. Nice area too. I’m used to the real stuff from taco trucks so sorry 😢
I'll never forget this place , we came in to order it was 11 of us , my mom was eating her sunflower seeds at the table while we ordered our food , and some idiot that worked here kicked my mom out for having outside food. With a true jerk attitude . Mind you, this was about 12 years ago , so this was an over due review , still haunts us . The dude was furious, truly something out of a movie . Imagine you lost the business of 11 customers for sunflower seeds . Tell me it's under new ownership, but hey ask around if they still work there . He had us all ready to fight, dude went nuts
We came during the Annual Car Show, so the wait was longer than expected. Our server was friendly and once we were seated our food didn’t take long. Chips and salsa were good. I had the shredded beef taco, the meat itself didn’t have any flavor, it came from the salsa. My husband had ground beef taco and he didn’t like it, he thought the beef had no flavor as well.
Kind of expensive food spot near the beach. You're paying for the location. Also, be prepared with cash. They do give you a bunch of chips tho which was nice.

This place is a scam! Went to the small window to get drinks to go, they tell me it’s cash only. (I obviously didn’t have cash on me) so the waiter says we have an ATM inside. I know there is a fee at any atm that isn’t your bank so I proceeded it read fee was ONLY $2.50 sure whatever I’m thirsty kids are thirsty an horchata and beer sounded good. Long story short their fee is actually $5!!!!!! I took out $20 on my statement it says I took out $22.50 and on top of that they charged another $2.50!!!! It’s not much but it’s the principal they know what they are doing people go up to the window for quick walk through orders and they scam you by saying cash ONLY and pretty much have the perfect set up to steal more than they should. Shame on you guys can you imagine all the people that use their atm and get an extra $5 per person using their atm!!!?
I live in seal beach along with friends and family. I stopped by El burrito Jr on 5/29 later in the evening to place a to go order. Upon picking up my order at the window I just asked about obtaining 1 more small container of hot sauce and I was told in a rude manner that my order only gets 2 hot sauce containers, I was not even given the option to purchase another salsa, the man was very rude. This kind of treatment makes someone not want to spend their money here. It's not right to leave a customer with a feeling like there are no options. It's rude and it's not good business. As an example of how customer service should be,when going to nicks not to far away on main Street in seal beach, I would never be treated so poorly when asking for something as simple as one more salsa. That kind of treatment makes customers not want to come back to spend their money.
Bought an asada burrito. Meat quality was below average and had no flavor except a grill that needs cleaning. Wished I bought a corndog from next door. Do not recommend. It takes aggressive apathy to be this bad.
Mexican restaurant? The food here is far from authentic Mexican food! I don't understand how this restaurant has 4.5 stars. The burritos are bland and they serve the guac, pico, and lettuce OUTSIDE of the burrito. Where in the menu does it state this? No where. We ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and the burrito was basically ALL BEANS. Horrible! Also, BEWARE: They charge $2 EXTRA if you ask to have your burrito cut in half. Seriously? It takes a second to cut a burrito in half and you're charging $2 extra? No way. On the other hand, the California Burrito DOES NOT come with fries. They straight up just slapped some baked potatoes on it. A burrito with baked potatoes IS NOT a California Burrito. Awful, awful, awful. The only thing I was happy about was the tostadas and their salsa. Other than that, don't recommend coming here.
CASH only. I've gotten sick here a couple of times ordering the beef tacos. Employees was mean to a lady with mental disorder while i was wating in line at the window . updating previous review. Tried to give this establishment a second chance have raw ground beef in my taco mixed in with regular ground beef. Some menu food is good some isint, hit or miss. This time it was a miss. Wont be returning. Just go across the street for 30 better restaurants
I came here expecting delicious food, but what did I get ? BEANS! Only beans, and a tortilla. 🥠Half of it was lettuce🥬 and the “asada” was ground beef was flavorless. The sour cream was chunky 🤢and my stomach was hurting afterwards. 😓The tortillas were stale. Finally, the worker threw my water at my bag and was very impatient with me.😡

Had ground beef taco today & it was blah. No taste, just filler in a taco, so its horrible to call it Mexican food. Take it off menu or close.
I’m honestly very disappointed with El Burrito Jr. I ordered a Super Burrito which by the name, you’d expect to be something filling and satisfying, but instead, it was completely soggy. The tortilla fell apart the moment I picked it up, everything inside just spilled out, and it was such a mess that I couldn’t even make it halfway through before giving up. What makes the experience even worse is that this place only accepts cash. No credit cards, no Google Pay, no modern payment options at all. It feels extremely inconvenient and outdated to force people to carry cash just to eat here. And the menu? Not a single picture of the food. For a restaurant, that makes no sense. Customers should at least be able to see what they’re ordering. Between the soggy burrito, the primitive cash-only policy, and the confusing, pictureless menu, this was an upsetting experience overall. I walked away frustrated and will not be coming back.
