It was a wonderful experience! Sitting and watching the planes take off while we ate a delicious lunch was a highlight. My husband had fish and chips with jalapeño coleslaw & Sidewinder fries. I had chicken salad croissant sandwich that came with a side salad that was so yummy and a side cup of chili. We were both very happy with our meal and would go back here again for sure. Very nice waitress as well.

Great food- incredible service- fantastic views. From the server Courtney to the manager Darius the experience could not have been better. Any place that gives you this much honey for your tea automatically gets extra stars!! Tri color breakfast potatoes plus sweet potatoes - yes please!! If you want a pleasant chill spot with good food and good times THIS IS IT!! Dr V-

Decided to check out Mesa Grill to celebrate my 50th. It was a nice evening and delicious meal. I had the petite filet and it was very tender and flavorful. My husband had the tomahawk chop. He enjoyed it but thought it was a bit dry. We finished with a piece of carrot cake which was so good! I got a complementary dish of salted caramel ice cream which was very good too! Our waiter, Christian was great!

Mesa Grill is an absolute must when in Sedona. Located at the airport overlook, it has what I think are the best views of Thunder Mountain in the city! It's my go-to spot, consistently great whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I recently had a wonderful lunch here with some colleagues, and it was an all-around perfect experience. The restaurant has a casual feel with delicious, fresh food that never disappoints. The whole group was impressed with their meals, and the hibiscus tea was a delightful choice as well. It's the ideal spot for a memorable meal with an unforgettable backdrop. Highly recommend!

This is a very interesting restaurant located right beside the airport runway! And you do get to see small airplanes take off! It's also a short walking distance to the popular spot where crowds come for sunset view. Location is definitely prime. Service staff is fine dining caliber. And food is equally great too. Price is reasonable and worth it. Highly recommended.

The host was an angel sent from heaven for finding us a table after a last minute cancellation. We caught the sunset and were ready for food, but couldn’t secure a reservation throughout the day and tried anyway as a walk in. We were sure glad we persisted! The meal was spectacular! The drinks all had fun names too!

While Mesa Grill’s USP is its location offering stunning views of Sedona city and the red rock/Mesa; the food offered at Mesa Grill is delicious. The restaurant is located right next to the Sedona Airport Scenic Lookout, and with a right seat one can enjoy their meal with view of planes taking off and landing the nearby airport and/or breathtaking beauty of Sedona’s Mesa. I would recommend their house soup and blackened salmon. Shrimp and Grits were different than what one typically finds in southern states.

Carlos and his staff provided excellent and friendly service. Each menu item was delicious and hot. The drinks were amazing, especially the orange espresso martini. There is no place to get this view in Sedona.

Food was good and love the atmosphere here, watching the planes take off in the evening. After dinner we walked over to the vista overlook to watch the sunset, with our car parked outside the restaurant. It was perfect!

5 out of 5 place Views, service, food, and ambiance are top-notch. The tableside guacamole is so good. The fried chicken was amazing. They have a great happy hour menu with amazing pulled pork tacos too.

Mesa Grill is on the Sedona Airport, most Airport restaurants are greasy spoons and good for only a breakfast fly-In, but the Mesa Grill is a great place to fly to for that hundred dollar hamburger, which none of us had. Guacamole prepared at the table side was awesome, as was all our lunch entries. We always take people hear from out of town and will definitely continue to do so, love it.

10/10. We were driving around with some extra time and stopped in for a quick bite and had such a delightful experience that we took the time to gather names to give appropriate shoutouts. We first encountered Kaitlynn’s smiling face and professional hospitality, knowing exactly which seating options were available outside, inside, and at the bar with a welcoming vibe. Then, we were promptly greeted by Nico, a delightfully clean cut, personable, witty, and brilliant server who made exceptional suggestions (so much so that we forgot to take q photo until everything had been mostly devoured) and made us feel like old friends in the process. This was somehow even more enhanced by the most delightful interaction with Darius who expeditiously ran our food to the table and somehow brought a smile to our faces in doing so. All the while, the airport and Sedona mountain views were seen all around and their bussing staff kept tables turning over promptly throughout our brief stay. Food, views, exceptional staff, and a clean and modern facility in the heart of Sedona, a few paces from a scenic lookout…look no further and head here. And to the manager, you’ve got a golden crew. Thank you all for a fabulous experience.

Food is yummy. Great crafted drinks-unique variations on the popular cocktails. Lots of large windows facing the Sedona airport runway-Love to watch the planes landing & taking off. The view of the Sedona bluffs was awesome too.

The service, location and food were way beyond expectations. We arrived at the same time as the hostess and were about to wait as she got settled, but you know what she did? Graciously and expeditiously seated us before doing anything else. Seconds later, the very sweet server took great care of us. I expected average breakfast potatoes but theirs are as delicious as they are colorful. Their berries are the freshest berries I've ever had at a restaurant. The beautiful food with the view of the intriguing red rock formations make a fantastic brunch.

The presentation of these dishes were phenomenal. The taste was also exceptional. Can't wait to come back and try breakfast!

Jose is an excellent server very attentive and personable. We stopped to have drinks Prickly Pear Margaritas and Bloody Mary. Great place to stop after our visit of the Airport Mesa Overlook.

Great food. Great service. It was the perfect dinner. Small planes landing and taking off were an added delight. Then the sunset at the overlook topped it off. I had the blackened salmon Caesar salad and my husband had the corned salmon dinner. Both were delish. I wish we had came back the next night also.

We love ❤️ coming here to Mesa Grill. We always feel like this is a spot only the locals know about. Pretty sure that's not true tho'. It is enjoyable to sit and watch the airplanes land and take off. Pet friendly, and the bar serves the best craft cocktails 🍸 Everyone is friendly...except that one pretentious couple...we all know them...that one couple that seems to be upset that you exist and heaven forbid that you try to engage them in friendly conversations...oh well, hope their jet doesn't run out of fuel.. We will be back, and if you've never been, you need to go. ... If you see Chad and Buffy say "HI" 😄

Stumbled upon this place looking for a good scenic spot for photos and we are very glad we did. Excellent fresh food combined with super friendly attentive service. A great spot imo. We shall be back for dinner

Great Wagyu burgers! Awesome draft Scottish Red, too. The chips, guacamole, & salsa was the best I’ve had. Spicy garlic in the salsa! The sunset was perfect. Carlos, Jr was very polite, attentive, and friendly.

Our food was wonderful as was our waitress Nicole. Eggplant meatballs were so good, and this was one of the best ceasar salads I have ever had! Beautiful views of the red rocks and we got to see some planes land. Atmosphere was nice but the plastic flowers on the tables were kinda tacky and definitely didn't fit the vibe.

I came in for a bite to eat after a hike in Sedona. I sat at the bar and the bartender was so friendly and welcoming along with making the best blackberry jalepino margarita. I ordered the trout which was fantastic and those green chile grits….unbelievably yummy! I want a whole plate of those next time. I ended my meal with a delicious carrot cake. Everything about this place is amazing. I’ll be back!’

Spent the day in Sedona celebrating my brother-in-law birthday. We had his birthday brunch birthday meal at the Grill at the airport. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Great views from our table. This is a great place for a meal when in Sedone

Hard to say enough how we enjoyed the food and the view here. Everything was very tasty, balancing and nicely presented. We were treated friendly. They made effort to find a good place for our group where we could enjoy either the food of the view. Highly recommend it!!!!

Probably the best fly in restaurant in Arizona. Upscale food, amazingly delicious. Fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and professional. They have multiple gf items if you need that.

TL;DR - Some of the best food I've ever had. We heard about this place and decided to stop by going from the Grand Canyon to Phoenix. Seemed a little out of the way but it was well worth it. There was a bit of a wait but they have a really nice outdoor waiting space. We were able to get some drinks and wait outside. There are airplane and helicopter tours right next to the restaurant and the runway goes past it so you can watch the planes land and take off. There wasn't much going on there when we went but we still saw a couple planes take off. It's all aviation themed. There's a whole section that they had covered but could convert to outdoor seating when the weather is nicer. It was clean. The service was excellent. Cool atmosphere. The food was some of the best I've had. Tried mostly new things but a couple classics and it was all amazing. There's also a lookout nearby where you can pay $3 to park and get some great pictures.

This was a pretty cool place to eat. You can sit there and eat good food while watching the planes come and go. My wife ordered the salmon cesar salad and it was probably the best salad I've tasted. I got the southwest chicken and pasta with pesto dish, which was average. I'd definitely go back just for the view alone! The restaurant was very clean and the staff was super friendly.

Great view of airplanes landing and taking off. We enjoyed lunch so much we went back for breakfast on another day. We had reservations for lunch but not for breakfast. We were seated quickly.

We thought it would be a touristy restaurant with a great view and terrible food. But no — everything was actually delicious! The calamari were cooked perfectly, the pepper appetizer was tasty, the portions were huge, and the prices were very reasonable.

Perfect start to finish! Our server, Luis was prompt , knowledgeable and pleasant. We started with the calamari, the batter was crispy , we loved it. We ordered the grilled veggies and goat cheese. & the chicken schnitzel. Both dishes were done absolutely perfect. We loved everything about pur experience.

We had lunch and a couple of beers and made sure to have a reservation (important). The food was beyond amazing, good local beers selections and eclectic and delicious menu. It was really neat to hang out by the airport and watch the planes takeoff and land. We will definitely be back soon!

Very nice food with beautiful views. The only complaint is the ventilation inside was not good enough (air was a bit oily-smoky).

I work next door at Apex Air Tours (helicopter tour company) and we love going to Mesa grill for lunch. They have a very large menu with tons of great options. I personally love getting their soups for lunch because I can order it for carryout and then have a nice light lunch next door while working in our office. We have a great business relationship with Mesa grille and enjoy them being next to us! They also offer our Helicopter tour rack cards on their host desk. I also recommend their table side guacamole 🥑 it’s delicious! 😋 We greatly appreciate it! Thank you! 🍽️🚁

The Mesa Grill is our first stop in Sedona. The Crab and Shrimp Nachos are the best we've had. The views are stunning. It's very interesting watching the airplanes land.

Great place to have some drinks and watch the sunset with some planes flying. There have an outdoor area where they only serve drinks (no food). Pets are allowed outdoors. The service here was great and we would definitely visit again.

What a Hidden Gem! We visited this place after hiking airport vortex trail. The wait staff was incredibly pleasant, helpful and attentive. We received recommendations and we're not disappointed. The Grilled chicken sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, and I posole we're fantastic. I would recommend the spicy relish on the side for the grilled chicken sandwich as it is a little bit spicy. Definitely try this place out!

My husband and I went 2 times in our stay in Sedona to Mesa Grill and both times were terrific. We stayed at the hotel right up the road and enjoyed walking over for meals. From the moment you walk in till the moment you leave the hospitality is great. We had 2 amazing waiters with such great recommendations and never led us wrong. The cocktails were really good and the food was great each time. Views are amazing from the restaurant and we even got to see Apache helicopters land from training. Highly recommend. Prefer Mesa over Mariposa.

My favorite meal in Sedona. While the menu is filled with relatively standard dishes (steak, simple fish, etc) they prepare everything to perfection. We started with the Hummus & Mint Tabouleh and I went with the trout. The hummus was homemade and the tabouleh on point as well. It came with a few simple fresh, sliced veggies and plenty of pita bread. The red trout was cooked perfectly and seasoned just as well. I loved the crispy skin and appreciate that it was removed from the fish and on the side in the event I had not liked it. Service was amazingly friendly. We got there a bit earlier and they were able to offer us a seating option fairly quickly. When our app arrived, the waiter noted to give him the thumbs up when we'd be ready for our mains and they would get fired up - love that so nothing sits under a heat lamb forever. Pro tip - arrive 20-30 minutes ahead of time, park in their lot, and walk back to the outlook for a few quick photos prior to heading in to eat! Enjoy!

Mesa Grill Sedona – 3.5 Stars Mesa Grill sits high on Airport Road with one of the most incredible views in all of Sedona. If you want to catch a breathtaking sunset, book a reservation ahead — seating and parking fill up quickly. Otherwise, you’ll likely pay $3 to park and miss one of Sedona’s best sunset views. We arrived during happy hour (3:30–5:30 PM) and really enjoyed the pulled pork tacos — tender, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the chips, guacamole, and salsa. My wife ordered the shrimp salad, which she felt could’ve been fresher and more flavorful, though it was still decent. The hibiscus tea was a standout — she had four refills and loved every sip. Mesa Grill is a great pick for a casual date or relaxing dinner with unbeatable views. The food is good (tacos are the highlight!), and the atmosphere is pure Sedona magic. 📸 Check out my photos — they tell the story best. #MesaGrillSedona #SedonaEats #SedonaViews #HappyHourSedona #SunsetDining #AirportMesa #SedonaRestaurants

Great view and very good staff. We ordered the Red pepper and pesto pasta which was really good. They have very limited gluten free dinner options but my husband ended up getting chicken cutlet which they made gluten free on request. We got shishitos peppers for appetizer which was 3/10 (we have had better. We got gluten free chocolate brûlée which was 10/10. Overall good food but service was really slow. The restaurant is extremely busy so make sure you put in the order together and also make a reservations. A 2 people dinner would cost you $100-200 (I would call it high end).

Food: Portions were huge and a little heavy for my taste (too much butter and sauces). That said, it was tasty. Views: Great, go for the experience

Made reservations for Mesa Grill, Reservations are highly recommended. Stopped here for brunch, I had to combo meal, which includes eggs, potatoes, pancakes. I had mine with the kielbasa sausage. My girlfriend had the eggs Benedict and they’re both was delicious. Sat there by the airport as we watched the planes come and go, If you’re in the area, I recommend you’d stop by this restaurant Service was amazing the waiter very professional very friendly.

Scenic views + yummy fish and chips! Warm, attentive service makes every meal more memorable. The chicken quesadilla was also so tasty. Drop by airport mesa on the way back for a post-meal walk!

We went after an excellent reference from an acquaintance. I made reservations and added a note re: very special occasion, hoping for a nice table. No go. We got to choose between the 2 worst table options. Absolutely no view, supposed to be ‘The Place for the sunset’, made even worse by the opaque plastic sheeting (temporary walls) since we were on ‘the patio outside’. It was cold. Service started out poorly, we seemed to be forgotten and when we were noticed, he acted as though we were an irritating sliver in his thumb. After a while, and our persistent friendliness, his attitude changed and he became very accommodating and friendly. The food was excellent, once we received everything we’d asked for. Very fresh, prepared beautifully and tasty with ample portions. He even brought a complimentary dessert with a candle in it. Even though the food was excellent, we probably wouldn’t go again, primarily due to the ambience and indifference.

I guess people come here for the ambience? They surely aren't coming here for the food. The food had some issues. Small portions and not a lot of synergy in the flavors. For instance we ordered the Eggplant Meatballs. Usually when you order meatballs somewhere they'll give you 4 jumbos or 6 regular sized meatballs. That wasn't the case here. The meatballs were small and only 3 came on a plate. The flavor was 100% in the sauce as the meatballs were bland all the way through. Were they even seasoned? Didn't seem like it. I ordered the Crispy Red Trout. The dish looked and tasted more like the focus was on corn than trout. Trout has a very delicate flavor. You don't need to do too much to end up overpowering the flavor of the fish. That's what happened here. On top of the issues with the overpowering amount of corn was the lemon on top. It was bitter and took away all the flavors on the dish. A bit of fresh squeezed lemon would have given a better balance of flavors. The grits were fantastic however I will say. The spinach on the other hand...well....that's a different story. It complimented nothing in the dish and was bland. The wife ordered the burger. Honestly again not much flavor going in with the burger. The patty wasn't anything to write home about. I find a BJ's patty has more flavor going on and I've many many burgers which are better. I was shocked this place required reservations to be honest. But it was a rather small establishment and I'm guessing the view is what everyone was after. It's nice to have a view while eating but at the end of the day I go to eat at a restaurant for the food first and foremost. And the food here was very very forgettable. Staff was friendly though.

**Mesa Restaurant Review - Sedona Airport** ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) We decided to try Mesa, one of the top recommended restaurants on TripAdvisor, during our recent trip to Sedona. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to the high expectations set by the reviews. First, we arrived at night, and while the small print mentioned a great view, we regrettably missed out on it. The ambiance felt more like a dated diner than a new restaurant, with concrete floors and a lack of warmth in the decor. Our service was disappointing. Our waiter struggled to hear us, leading to significant mix-ups with our order. I had specifically requested salmon with a salad, but the salad arrived without the salmon. When we inquired about the missing salmon, the waiter simply said, "I didn’t hear you." I also asked about the grits I ordered, and his response was the same: "I didn’t hear you." As pescatarians, we were hoping for more seafood options. While we overheard other diners rave about the steak, our choices felt limited and underwhelming. Overall, if you're looking for a solid seafood meal, this may not be the best spot. If you’re drawn by the view, maybe consider visiting during the day, but be prepared for the possibility that it might not be a culinary destination. In our case, it felt more like a bar with mediocre food rather than a true dining experience. We won’t be returning.
