Enjoyed our first experience at Bullpen (and it won't be our last!). It's great to have a new restaurant in Camp Verde and this one is a treasure. Our burgers and fries were amazing and their prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is western themed as the name might suggest. Fun spot, with live music too. Dave, our server, was a delight. Great food, atmosphere and service is my personal trifecta when choosing a restaurant and Bullpen did not disappoint!

Ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger and Red Pepper Hummus. Both were delicious and portions were reasonably sized. The hummus had great flavor and the veggies were fresh. The burger was one of the best I've had in quite a while and the jalapeno bacon jam in particular might be worth writing home about. An extremely promising first experience. I will definitely be back!

Really a dining jewel in the desert!! Succulent brisket just melted in my mouth…Wagyu burger the best ever! And gluten free torte was the perfect ending to an exceptional meal. Waiter was attentive and friendly. Tip—it’s Country Western atmosphere. If animal trophy heads on the wall bother you, this may not be for you. They serve meat!

The most AMAZING wings in Arizona! We found this gem while camping and checking out the local sites. Our server Will was fantastic...he brought humor, suggestions and just an all around cool guy. We decided to book a birthday celebration in 2 weeks and they graciously accommodated the reservation and added a discount. We are originally from Prescott which is just over the hill but we will drive the 45 minutes just to come here again! Thank you Will for a fabulous luch!

Wow! Let me just say they really elevated the experience in this place from what it used to be. I love to see a nice family restaurant in our small town with great staff. Our server was nothing short of pleasant, checked on us often without being over bearing. We started with the fried pickles, perfect coating, nice a crispy! I had the BBQ burger and my friend had the salmon, mmmm chefs kiss. 🤌🏽 to add to that, they had Pacifico on draft! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The cherry on top, was the skillet cookie with the salted caramel gelato!! Came in for lunch on opening day. Service was surprisingly good for the amount of people dinning in. My waitress was Erma she was very attentive and extremely sweet. I ordered the steak n frits, steak was cooked to my liking no steak sauce needed lol extremely tender and juicy. Prices are fair and the menu offers some really unique options for the camp verde area. Will definitely return.

Amazingly fresh, homemade food. Best value around! Calamari hand cut, panko-crusted and delish! Salad greens super crisp and lightly tossed with housemade white balsamic vinaigrette. Menu has been pared down for summer, but when the short ribs come back, about the best I've had.

New favorite hang out spot! This is my 4th time here with one of my friends, and so far they take the cake. Their wagyu burger is top notch! I have not personally been in this new establishment (I was working while my family tried), however, I guilted my sister into giving me her "leftovers" ( a half of burger that my sister couldn't finish on her visit) and let me tell you..... If their left overs are that good I can't wait to try in person! Can't wait until I get to try in person!!!!

My husband and I went to Bullpen on a Friday night, although the restaurant was busy the service was very quick and the staff were super friendly. And the owner is very nice. The food was amazing and really good quality and prices were reasonable based on the quality of the food they’re serving. It’s an amazing gem in Camp Verde and Verde Valley area. The restaurant is a historic building which worth visiting just by itself and they designed everything so beautifully inside and it’s very welcoming. They had live band and pool table at the restaurant which makes it really fun for social gatherings with Friend. Highly recommended and will be back there soon.

Oh my GOODNESS!! Since the ownership changed about two months ago, EVERYTHING I've ordered has been amazing! They have excellent service and take great pride in the quality of the food that is served. The menu isn't huge but every item is some of the best I've ever had! If I could give it 10 🌟 I would!

My pork belly sandwich was delicious! Just the right ratio of fat to meat. Had some mild buffalo wings that were good too. Topped it off with the gigantic chocolate truffle and an orange drink - perfect combo.

It was our first visit and it was awesome. We had the BBQ Burger and the Fish Sandwich. Both were excellent and both came with a generous serving of fries. Music was playing, but the volume was at a level we could still talk/hear (unlike some places). In addition, large clean restrooms. We will definitely return.

Since the restaurant has been under new management starting this last month or so, I have been pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything has been! Ive gone twice now, and the food and service has been excellent. They had some live music which was lovely too. Can't wait to go back and try more menu items!

We had an excellent meal today as we were turned away from the facility across the street. (we got there at 10:30 and could not be seated!) Will and Nicole were great hosts'. The menu is expansive with a lot of choices for daily specials. The burgers we had were some of the best ever and the seasoned fries were excellent. We got a 10% off coupon for our next visit which we will use in the coming days. Great atmosphere and a must stop when visiting Camp Verde.

My husband and I went in for an early dinner tonight. We had the popcorn crawfish tails with chipotle ranch as an appetizer. I had one of the specials for the evening . It was the blackened Cajun salmon with garlic mashed potatoes. And my husband had the blackened New York strip with Cajun butter and garlic mashed potatoes. The food was absolutely amazing. I was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was prepared .. we were greeted by the hostess as soon as we entered the restaurant and she seated us. Our server met us at the table to take our drink order. Our server was Will . He was a very good server. I’ve been in the food and beverage industry for 35 years . It was so nice to have a server that was so attentive to all of our needs. Although we did not have many, because he was on top of everything. I introduced myself to the manager, Nicole she was very friendly as well. We were fortunate enough to be able to meet the owner Andy. He came over to our table and introduced himself and to check on the quality of the food and the service. I give my five star review on this new ownership for this restaurant. My fiance and I really enjoyed this restaurant! We live in cottonwood and wanted a new place to try, saw they had recently opened, but their menu looked really good and I read the good reviews so wanted to give them a try. I had the Wagyu burger with fries- cooked to a perfect medium! So much flavor, unlike most burger places in this area that are just bland, cooked well done and flavorless. He had the salmon, and he is a bit of a foodie so he is harder to impress lol, and loved his food as well! Our waitress was wonderful as well, and had a lot of patience for us as we had a lot of questions and were indecisive. We will definitely be back and looking forward to trying even more things off their menu. Will be suggesting this place to our friends and neighbors for sure! Update: went again on 3/4 and once again, spectacular service and wait staff. I couldn’t help but get the burger again, lol and it was just as amazing as the last one I had! You guys are rocking it!

Great from start to finish! Nice, attentive waiter who took the time to talk about the history of the building, proved recommendations based on a dietary restriction and delivered piping hot food. Food was flavorful, great portions and cooked to perfection.

This was an impromptu girls lunch. What a treat! The fried zucchini appetizer was very nice, and the ranch dipping sauce was great! The server, Will, dashing around serving and working the bar, was helped by Justin until more staff arrived. They both smiled and made us feel welcome. I'll go again!

My wife and I went there after leaving the Pecan and Wine Festival. We thought that it may be a mistake as there was so many people in town. We don't eat out very often. The place was packed but was seated within 20 minutes. The place seemed well staffed for the busy weekend. Our server Nicole was great! I had the fish and fries, my wife had a burger and fries, both were real good and came out fairly quickly to our surprise. The live music was great. We hung out for awhile at the bar after eating to enjoy the band some more. Hope our little town supports this business for many years as it is a great place on Main Street. Gonna have the BBQ brisket next time, it looked awesome.

To make the experience even better, I was served with the house special margarita. Honestly, I tried to find something to be harshly critical about in the Bullpen Grill but it was a futile task. So unexpected to find this gem of a place in a quiet little place close to Sedona and not really a popular tourist destination. Bottom Line: 9.7 out of 10

Great White Russians! Had a few with a wonderful meal. I had the fish and chips. They were cooked perfectly, although I thought the portion size was a little small.

The food was good, the music was fun, the service was slow and a bit lacking. Probably just an off night, it was our first time back since the new ownership, so we’ll definitely give it a few more try’s.

Ths service was so so, my husband's drink went empty and sat that way till we said something. 3 of us had burgers which were great. My son had the airline chicken which was horrible. They did correct it and the atmosphere was pretty good. I could imagine during game time this would be the place to be at.

We are always anxious to try out new restaurants in the Verde Valley. I'm kind of a foodie and music lover, so if I see a "sauce' on anything and a live band, I am all in. And I do understand about a new opening and ironing out the kinks. That being said, here are some constructive comments for continued success at The Bullpen. We arrived at 515pm on St Patrick's Day. Guinness Corned Beef and Cabbage was advertised on line and the lighted board sign inside was up. As we sat down and ordered, not before, we were told they were OUT of corned beef!!! The band was great but a half hr late. We ordered our second choice Beef Short Rib with Demi Glaze, mashed potatoes, and tricolor carrots. Rib was great, too little glaze for rib plus potatoes ( a tiny bit too lumpy for me) and the baby carrots were too few and not tricolor but fresh and delicious. The serving plate was very big and a nice one, but there needed to be more carrots and glaze and maybe a bit of parsley sprinkles for color and proportion and taste. They said they did not have bread because it was really " just a bar." Brownie /Gelato dessert was yummy. I had to put 5 creamers in coffee and it barely changed the color, but must have been just strong good coffee because it tasted ok afterwards, not burned. Wait staff was very personable. We live 35 minutes away, but we will be back and will recommend it. Best of luck. Lynn

Decent bar/restaurant with cowboy country decorations. The bar is open (no internal walls) and next to dining area which makes for a really loud dining experience. Service was great. Food was delivered fast and hot. Fries are a little basic and they don't have a fry sauce. No salt and pepper on the table as well. Parking is tricky.

I looked up Sportsbars and visited this one in Camp Verde. They only had one small 32" TV behind the bar-tucked in the corner. Food choices are limited. Good service 👍

Decent bar/restaurant with cowboy country decorations. The bar is open (no internal walls) and next to dining area which makes for a really loud dining experience. Service was great. Food was delivered fast and hot. Fries are a little basic and they don't have a fry sauce. No salt and pepper on the table as well. Parking is tricky.

I looked up Sportsbars and visited this one in Camp Verde. They only had one small 32" TV behind the bar-tucked in the corner. Food choices are limited. Good service 👍

As my wife and I were ordering, the waiter goes into some story about "how emotional women are", not sure how this came up or what he had going on, but we didn't need to hear it. I ordered the fish and fries with coleslaw and my wife had the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes. As we were waiting for our food, the waiter was talking to the adjacent table and told them he hopes to see them next week, as he walked away 2 people at the table said, "not likely", not a good sign. Our food came. Mine was very good, except I'm not a fan of shoestring french fries. My wife's on the other hand was lacking, it was made from a flank steak ran through a tenderiser and it was chewy. Potatoes were average, not at all what they should have been for the cost. No salt and pepper at the table, I waved at our waiter twice and no response, had to get up, walk across the room to get them, and not a word from him. Did not fill our waters once, Wife drank hers and then drank mine. What's interesting is I gave a 10% tip, now normally this would illicit a question, maybe like, "was everything ok", got nothing. So there you go.

Another loud, noisy, beer and pool bar. Check your receipt, they automatically added a 20% tip and a 3% credit card fee to the bill. No need to go back again.... Nothing special.

Ordered the Waygu Cheeseburger. Disappointed that it came with no type of dressing,ketchup, mayo, mustard. Just served dry. My friend ordered the Rueben and it had little to no saurkraut and no sauce. Over all very disappointing. Won't be going back.

The menu needs work and we just wanted some bar food snacks so we ordered onion rings and wings, wings were good, onion rings were bland and undercooked. The service however was excellent, very friendly and kind staff.

I was definitely not a fan as it was more green chili than pozole. Also, didn’t come with a spoon. We asked and never got one so my son ate it with a fork. We also got 2 wagyu cheeseburgers. I asked for mine well done and it was, thankfully lol I also got a side of mayo since the burger didn’t have any. Pretty good burger overall but could use some more flavor. Fries on both burger plates were barely lukewarm. Not sure if we’ll be back. Prices are on the higher side and the lack of a variety on the menu is disappointing. Gave 2 stars. If we go back and it’s different I’ll update then.

Went in with a friend sat at a table by the bar ordered two drinks. Finished the drinks and waited 30 plus minutes and no one ever came back to our table so we drove to cottonwood and went to the chap. This was a Saturday night

Spent $70 on fish-and-chips ordered the clam.Chowder and got a quarter of a bowl too expensive for such a small town.Glad my kids are all raised.Couldn't afford to feed them

My previous review was erased. Every one guess why? Not worth the time or money. Had dinner. Food was extremely underwhelming and way over priced. Happy Birthday to me!
