The Hudson

This is our 3rd or 4th visit to The Hudson, in Sedona. We love it for the food AND for the view. Both are outstanding. Our waiter was Brett. Very good!! Listened, suggested, engaged... professional and friendly. We were seated immediately...happy because The Hudson is popular and can get crowded. Brett placed the delivery of the food perfectly, and support staff similarly removed the empty dishes at just the right time. Each dish pictured was outstanding, and I don't say that lightly or very often. When you go to this glorious Sedona you MUST include The Hudson!!

Amazing atmosphere and delicious food! We highly recommend every dish we tried, especially the meatballs, which were generous and flavorful. Jillian was our waitress and made our honeymoon dining experience even more special.

Beautiful atmosphere! The drinks were 10/10. The artichoke spinach dip was outstanding and our waiter was great. The chicken in the chicken pot pie was chewy and overcooked but the rest of our food was delicious.

We had an amazing experience at the Hudson! It’s very scenic and right in the heart of Sedona! Nice indoor seating but the patio/balcony views of the mountains are amazing! Never had an experience like this before as a Cleveland Native.

My husband and I were visiting Sedona from Michigan and looking for a classy spot for date night. After a long hike, we’d definitely worked up an appetite, which made enjoying the steak with the blue chop salad, pork chop, blood orange spritz, and Eddie’s peanut butter pie even better. We were so impressed by the spectacular red rock views, delicious food, gorgeous interior, and wonderful service. I wish we lived closer as we'd for sure be back!

The ambience was lovely, and this is definitely one of the best seafood restaurants in Sedona. I tried swordfish for the first time, and it was incredibly tasty. I ordered the salmon and the blackened swordfish sandwich—both were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!

We don't live in AZ, but went there for a wedding reception. Food was legitimately delicious and the desserts were top tier. Highly recommend the deconstructed banana cream pie.

Absolutely loved our experience at The Hudson! Great atmosphere, wonderful service and the food was amazing! We made reservations for sunset and the view did not disappoint! Highly recommend if you are in Sedona!

Incredible food that never disappoints! Chicken pot pie is second to none! Me and the wife head to the Hudson everytime we visit Sedona and have never had anything that doesn’t taste amazing! Zabdi was our server and she was the best! Made our night out even better. Will return again every time we visit Sedona!

My girlfriend and I went here for our anniversary, killer views of the rocks and lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing, I got the seared Ahi sandwich and she got the prickly pear ribs, both were incredible. Our waiter was amazing and attentive, and when he wasn't able to make it to the table when it got busy, other wait staff stepped in to make sure we had everything we needed. Everyone here works together like a well oiled machine, definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic experience all around. Everything we ordered was superb. Drinks were delicious as well as the appetizers and both our entrees. For food, we ordered the street corn and blackened shrimp bruschetta, the chicken pot pie, and the lamb chops. We finished with the peanut butter pie for dessert and it was divine. The ambience was very nice, we sat inside but still had a view of the red rocks outside. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Overall, I really can’t praise The Hudson enough. One of my favorite meals in a long time and I hope to return soon!

Great meal to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The first and only other time we’ve been to The Hudson was 9 years ago in October of 2016. It was a great meal then and tonight’s meal did not disappoint. We had a reservation so we were seated right away. We got a table with an amazing view of the rock formations - just like last time. Our server was by our table within a few minutes of being seated. She congratulated us on our anniversary, then told us about the nightly special. We ordered cocktails and the Calamari small plate. The cocktails came first and were quite good and refreshing. The Calamari followed and it too was tasty. I will say that my recollection of it from 9 years ago was a bit different. I don’t recall bean sprouts as part of the vegetables served with the Calamari. But I could be off on that. Still a decent small plate item. Soon after, we placed our meal order. We shared Bruschetta. It was decent. Would have preferred the tomatoes to have been riper but it was still good. For dinner, we did a plate split ($7 charge) with the 8oz Prime Beef Filet, medium rare, served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. The filet and potatoes had some garlic herb compound butter on them - real good. The vegetables were roasted and seasoned and were also excellent. Our server, Ashley was super pleasant and very attentive to our table. For dessert, we took back to the hotel, the Peach Cobbler. Surprise! Ashley brought out a nice Ice Cream Sundae as their gift for our anniversary. It was a nice treat. Thank you The Hudson. See you next time we visit Sedona.

Reasonably priced fare. Excellent service. Nice views for pictures. Southwest chicken pasta was a hit. Pork chop was gigantic and delicious. Plenty of parking.

My brother has been here before and he insisted that we visit the Hudson though I was pushing him to try something new, let me tell you, that my brother forcing us to make this choice was well with it!! This place has indoor and outdoor seating with amazing views of the red rock mountains of sedon around us. The service was impeccable and the food, just amazing. Next time around, I would probably do exactly what my brother did, make him eat it for the third time, which he definitely would be fine with! Great place for lunch! The view is great even sitting inside. The special Beast burger was yummy too!

Every dish we ordered was amazing. The scenic view was excellent. Service was very good. I highly recommend that you eat here if you’re in the area. World-class dining experience.

Excellent meal on a busy Saturday night. We were seated right at the time of our reservation. We had Swordfish and the pork chops along with the peach cobbler. Everything was fabulous, the fresh veggies were done perfectly. Would recommend highly.

The Hudson is a must-visit! I came here for dinner and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch as well; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What really stood out was the atmosphere. The stunning views paired with a relaxing outdoor setting made it the perfect spot for a memorable evening. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating a great dining experience

Best restaurant in Sedona. The ambience, service, views and food is always 10/10. My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place a couple months ago and have been there multiple times since then. Would HIGHLY recommend if you’re in town.

Celebrated my Birthday here and was NOT DISSAPPOINTED!! The service was great and the food was plenty!! I ordered the Pot Pie, which is as big as your face and my kids got a hamburger and chicken tenders, all very good. We also started with the cauliflower appetizer, super yummy!! We're from Texas, and we loved the view, the food and atmosphere!!

This restaurant was the most amazing experience and by far the best meal we have ever had! EVER!!! Chef Jeff treated us like family; his passion for exquisite dishes and presentation is palpable. The flavors of the food and the great staff made a lasting impression. The atmosphere and views were phenomenal. Every single thing we ordered was delicious! This is a MUST DO if you are in or around Sedona!! Thank you, Chef Jeff, for the amazing memories we will cherish forever!

Food was wonderful. I would return to this place again, loved everything we ate. Reservation is recommended. The only problem was the restrooms. There is only 2 stalls for this very busy and big restaurant, you wait longer for the toilet than you do for a table.

Great deck view of Sedona and the food was amazing, the pot pie is huge and was more than enough for two Reservations are recommended but we were lucky to walk in for lunch

We recently ate at The Hudson, and the food was excellent. Everything tasted great and the overall atmosphere was nice. However, one staff member who served water to our table seemed a bit rude and unwelcoming, which slightly affected the experience. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful.

We had the chicken pot pie and the bison burger with their blueberry lemon drop which were all good! The view was the best part as we sat outside on the patio.

An absolutely fantastic setting, with great views on all sides. Superb atmosphere in the restaurant and great service. Some items left a little to be desired - my Caesar's salad was a little disappointing (prob the cheese) and my wife's burger was a tad dry. Overall decent, but the views and vibe outscore the food.

Beautiful views and great outdoor seating! The atmosphere at The Hudson is hard to beat, especially if you can grab a table outside. I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The only disappointment was that the fries aren’t gluten-free, which was a bummer since everything else was so good. Still, an awesome spot overall and worth the visit for the view alone!

Wow! Great food and great views! Do not leave Sedona without eating here at least once. Corn chowder - it was good but it reminded me and tasted like chicken tortilla soup. And on the salty side. Juicy burger - looks more like a sandwich. My husband preferred my Bison burger and my son’s mushroom burger over this one. Bison burger - on the pricey side for a burger but it was juicy and tasty. Mushroom burger - my husband and son loved it. All burgers came with a side, fries are good but coleslaw are amazing Chicken pot pie- OMG, delish and huge! The puff pastry was as perfect as it can get. The chicken inside the pie was tender even though it was white meat. Best chicken pot pie ever. Highly recommended Peach cobbler- topped with puff pastry. Not bad but I wish it was topped with something other than puff pastries. Bread pudding was on the dense side but really good. Some sort of Brownie cake - too dense and too sweet for my taste.

Cute patio seating — we were hoping to dine under the stars, but the LED lights kind of ruined the vibe. We had a reservation, but since we wanted patio seating, we had to wait an extra 30 minutes. The bar was pretty full, so we ended up just waiting in the car. The hostess wasn’t super friendly, but the 30-minute estimate was actually spot on. The steak salad was delicious. A bit pricey for a salad, but the portion was massive and the flavors worked really well together — actually satisfying, which is saying a lot for someone who rarely gets full from a salad! The ribs were great too, with big portions, though it would’ve been nice to have a smaller, cheaper option as well.

The place has a great view. The menu has a lot to offer. The Senora Quinoa salad was awesome. The corn chowder had a lot of flavor yet The big chunks of potatoes were not cooked all the way so they were a little crunch still. The fried cauliflower appetizer was not tossed in the hot sauce so it arrived dry and a little over cooked. My suggestion would be to toss them in the hot sauce before they come out. The bartender did a great job taking care of us.

Food was very tasty with good sized but still healthy portions. Views are amazing. Restaurant was on the loud side, so if you are looking for a quiet evening you might request a table outside (better views anyway). Ample free parking available in their lot. Would happily go back again.

We were a little too late to enjoy the sunset views here. It was a little busy but we were able to get seats at the bar pretty quickly. Our bartender was very friendly and the drinks were delicious. We got the meatball appetizer which was very generous and quite tasty. The olive tapenade crostini was very good! I had the braised pork tacos. They were just okay. My husband had the swordfish which he found a bit disappointing.

This place came highly recommended but it was only just fine. Food was pretty standard and not house made. Maybe because it was just two lunch sandwiches? But for 22$ my chicken sandwich needs to be battered fresh and full of flavor. See how thin it was? And not a fresh breast- for sure it was a frozen bagged item. The Reuben was decent- but again- for 22$ I thought it would be great. Small portions of sides. I will say our server was excellent - we loved her. We got to eat outside with good views- so maybe that’s what we are paying for? Our lunch was disappointing enough that we skipped dessert and went elsewhere.

We went to Hudson, couldn’t find a reservation earlier than 8 PM. Most of the places close at 8 PM but Hudson is open until 9 PM. The service and vibe of the restaurant is great. Food was 3/5, very few gluten free options for appetizers. We ordered Ahi Tuna tower which had more rice than the tuna and avacado. I’d rate it 3/10. We got a gluten free chicken burger which was really good. I got ravioli which was decent as well. We got gluten free brownie which was good.

I’m surprised by how popular and recommended this restaurant is. Our drinks took forever to get to us, and were clearly watered down. It may be possible that the waiter just let the ice melt at the bar and was busy - who knows. We got the calamari (photo posted shows half, sorry!) - there was about $5 worth of calamari on the plate with a bunch of veggies on top. It was tough, chewy, and not worth the money. Forty five minutes into the meal I found two ants crawling on my hand. We sat inside, and this made my husband hesitant about the food and cleanliness of the restaurant. We got the bison burger and baked shrimp. The burger was good, nothing crazy I’d come back for. The baked shrimp was severely overcooked and tough, definitely frozen. It was however an huge portion if that’s what youre looking for. Our waiter was in a huge rush the whole night, yet didn’t clear our plates or empty drink glasses all night even though he acknowledged them. The restaurant was essentially empty so this surprised me (it also surprised me how difficult it was to get a reservation when it was empty, but I know staffing can be difficult and a factor). It was odd being in an almost empty restaurant with club music playing. Skip it if youre in Sedona.

We arrived here at 7:04 pm and the person attending us at the reception told us that the wait time is 30-40 mins. We were the first ones in line followed by almost 14 people. 7 people who arrived 20 mins after us were seated before us. We were right there and listening to their conversation (1) there were no reservations made by these people (2) there were seats available for us to be seated but we were asked to wait Not sure if there is lack of education/training and basic etiquette but we definitely felt discrimination in the air. Please AVOID this place if you are a person of color. Add photos of food chicken wings were good but the rest were bland

After reading such positive reviews , we chose to celebrate a special occasion here. Drinks were late, burger was sent back (asked for med rare; got raw (even the server was taken aback; then, HARD well-done). Drink was clearly late (arriving after food). After asking to speak to the manager and relaying what happened, he chose to tell US that our SERVER was "frustrated" bc they CHOSE to send the drink back 20 mins late. Stuff happens, but then dont give us unwanted 'itude about YOUR mistake. Which is also so anti-the whole reason that people come to Sedona in the 1st place. TL;DR there are so many restaurants in Sedona -learn from our mistake + literally choose anywhere else to spend your hard-earned $.
