I had the best service and the food was great as always. Ainsley made my experience not only pleasant but was friendly, professional and just provided that "personable" touch.

I enjoyed a very nice breakfast. It wasn’t extremely busy but there were other customers. As usual I can never come to Cracker Barrel without purchasing several other items. 😊 my waiter was extremely friendly, helpful with menu items and checked on me often. It was a great experience. I will say that it had been several years since I’ve been to any other Cracker Barrel stores and I was surprised to see how they have changed their entire menu. I wasn’t really a fan of some of the menu items because I thought the old way with home cooked meals was very good. Thank you

He was beyond helpful and patient while showing us our options on family meals and choosing what we would like. It’s been a long time since we received such excellent service in a restaurant.

We showed up on a Sunday afternoon about 130 ish. They were busy busy. Hostess said it'd be a 20-minute wait. We were seated after maybe 10 minutes. Not bad, as we had plenty to look at in the store. We ordered chicken and dumplings and the chicken pot pie. Both were pretty tasty. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a great visit and we left with full tummies. 😋

Had a great experience. It was our first time out as a family of 7. 5 kids 7 and under. Our server’s name started with a “D”. He was very kind and respectful. Even addressed our children as “sir” and “ma’am”. Then they all had chore money to spend and the cashier was very patient as they each paid for their items. We drove a couple extra miles to go to this location rather than the Allen location. Well worth it.

Absolutely love the food, however, today I was charged twice for my meal. The worker ran my card twice saying it didn’t go through the first time even though it said on the kiosk that it went through. The manager told me I would have to fill out a form and corporate would be notified. Only then would they decide if to refund me for one of the two charges. I am furious and will not be back. I have never been to a place where you could not get an immediate refund for an over charge. Ridiculous!!!!! Our waitress was wonderful and so sweet. However, the hostess was rude and very obvious she hates her job.

Me and my fiancé recently went here and let me tell you. The food was fine and it was just as usual the best part of this place is the store let’s all be real. But we were also blessed with the most outstanding server ever! Brigette! She was quick and she was kind! When we went it was I’d say 6/10 busy and she made sure our food was hot when it came out and our cups never went empty! On top of all of her tables and making sure everyone was super happy. To say the least the only reason we will be coming back to eat is for her service. The best service we have gotten there in a while!

May 4th, 5-ish to 7. Sherman, TX Three of us girls went out to lunch after visiting a friend in the hospital. We spent 45 minutes or so looking at and commenting on everything in the country store and left with a fair amount of it! Then we went in to the restaurant area and had the most wonderful meal! The Chicken Pot Pie is exceptionally noteworthy! Of course we had to take advantage of the special $5 meal available to carry out with each entrée. What a bargain! We laughed sharing stories and telling jokes and generally being silly. We were like three old ladies who escaped from an asylum! Never once did we feel rushed to vacate the table. Our Server was excellent. Competent, friendly and very attentive. Sadly, I don’t remember his name, I’m old! He is a tall young man. Every single employee we encountered made eye contact, had a friendly smile, and made us feel welcome - almost like we were among friends. I especially liked all of the cashiers in the country store. Every aspect of our afternoon was perfect. I highly encourage others to make a point of coming here.

Cracker Barrel is as good as it gets for a restaurant. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are usually pretty busy on Sunday after church, but only a 15 minute wait most of the time. The chicken pot pie is the largest that I have ever seen.

First time coming here since I was like 8 and honestly, best homestyle food I've had in a while. Waiter was amazing, brought us everything we needed everything super quickly and was very attentive, even brought us to-go drinks before we even asked. 10/10 service and nice environment.

Awesome gift shop! We didn't eat, just shopped! I went there to get some miscellaneous fun gifts for a friend who is in the hospital. This is the best place to shop for eclectic merchandise. They are constantly rotating their stock and have fun and exciting new seasonal items. They have a wide variety of old timey candy and toys. This is a great place to find a great gift for the person who needs nothing but you want to give them something. There is plenty of parking!

Always enjoy going to Cracker Barrel. Good lunch with some of the best biscuits and corn muffins I've had at a restaurant. The waitress was especially attentive and made sure I was able to navigate the narrow aisle with my cane in hand. Another more recent visit was just as enjoyable. Really nice waitress, Kimmy, who really knows her stuff, and was so friendly and welcoming.

This is our second or third year to order both Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for 10 people! Everything was excellent and the Sherman TX staff was wonderful! So nice to have the extra food and cook less! It allows me to have more precious moments with my family instead of being in the kitchen all day.

What can I say, we went here for Thanksgiving and our plate hit everything we could have ever wanted. We ordered a couple of extra sides just because we are used to some of Cracker Barrel's food. Had lunch with my family on Father's Day and everything was wonderful. We had a wait time that would be normal for any Sunday, made shorter with browsing through the store <wink>. Our server, Ainsely, had a bright, beautiful smile and friendly attitude during our whole visit. She was pleasantly accommodating to the adults, and extra kind and patient with the two little ones with us. The food was, as always, delicious. A couple of our diners have food allergies, and those were addressed and considered as if it was part of the normal routine. Cheers to a great lunch!

This restaurant consistently meets or exceeds expectations! Our last visit was on a Sunday around 2pm and it was quiet, we received excellent service and every food item was perfect. We will continue coming back!

Been here a few times in the last couple of months only one bad experience and it was during the ice storm so I do not blame them in any way. Chicken fried steak is awesome.. two eggs on top over easy, yum.

They have anywhere from a big country breakfast platter to a full lunch and dinner menu, along with seasonal favorites. My favorite meal currently is the Hashbrown Shepherds Pie Casserole that consists of slow cooked roast, mashed potatoes, carrots, peas in a hearty brown gravy with a crispy fried hashbrown top. It's divine!

I'm not going to lie. When I first got my pancakes, they appeared a bit stale. However, after the first bite. They were perfect. The syrup, butter, with the pancakes made them not too stiff and not too "smooshy". I highly recommend this location. Not 100% friendly if you're on the spectrum but overall an enjoyable experience.

Great service with Sue, who was very responsive and friendly even at the weird time in the afternoon we came. Food was delicious, our table got the impossible sausage (dang near indistinguishable from actual meat) and carrots, and the rainbow trout with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. All were sublime. Love that this place has a decent amount of vegetarian options, which is unusual for a country-themed restaurant.

A group of 7 of us stopped for breakfast on our way home from a mission trip. (This particular Cracker Barrel is our "go to" every year) the service was great as always but today was extra special because one of our guys was having a birthday. My daughter and I stopped here on the way to the casino. I’m so glad we chose to eat here. The service we received was phenomenal. Our server was friendly, fast, and very attentive to our needs. He offered us refills at the perfect time. Brought additional condiments in a timely manner. Love that he saw me look up and knew I wanted my check. One of my pet peeves when I dine out is having to wait on the check. Now onto the food. Oh my goodness it was amazing. I ordered the rainbow trout with hashbrown casserole and a salad. The trout was better than I get at those expensive seafood restaurants. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. Now onto the salad. It was one of the freshest salads I’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time. My daughter loves biscuits. Those biscuits did not disappoint. They were fresh. My daughter ordered the chicken and dumplings and she approved of them as well. For now on when I make a trip to the casino I will definitely be coming here first. Thank you to all the staff for doing an amazing job. Keep up the good work.

The server was awesome. She was very attentive. She made sure we had plenty of drinks, napkins, condiments and that we had what we needed. She was handling multiple tables brilliantly and equally. The food was great. We had mango tea, biscuits with jellies, apple butter and honey, while we were waiting for the rest of our food. The boneless chicken breasts were breaded and fried to perfection but not greasy at all. Steak fries were crispy, as were the crispy fried okra. The chicken dumplings were tasty and filling. The apple dessert was sweet. Mashed potatoes were delicious and the fried trout was cooked to tenderness that was melt in your mouth. I always tend to over order, so I had one of the chicken breasts to take home for later, along with a couple of the biscuits. I love that they use real butter. It makes all the difference in taste. My parents and I enjoyed our dinner. It was well worth the money and the time we spent. The server Pamela, was worth every bit and more plus she had a great personality.

Always enjoy comfort food, and amazing company! It's always busy at Cracker Barrel but not to the point of distraction. Waitstaff may need more extensive training but all in all a good time.

I ordered the pork chop dinner for delivery thru Texoma Delivery. The mashed potatoes were ok, the carrots were underseasoned but the pork chops... Those pork chops were awesome!! Fork tender, well seasoned and lightly breaded. They were the star of the show. I ordered the fried apples for dessert and they did not disappoint either. Definitely worth the money.

Great restaurant for country cooking style food. Great service. Just a bit slow. But, if you're not in a hurry, it's a great option. It seems like, they make you wait to be seated, so you will walk around and shop in their nick-nack shop. Which is quite the novelty shop. But if I'm just going there to eat, I may not want to shop first.

Reasons for the two star is 1. because the Hashbrown Shephards Pie wasn’t piping hot and not as good as I’ve had previously (this is my go to). 2. We were sitting and enjoying ourselves until a family with young kids were seated behind me. Made it difficult for my friend and I to have any kind of conversation. And the place wasn’t busy at all. That family should have been seated somewhere else. I’m not against children eating out but I feel it is the responsibility of the host to sit people with the like kind (couples seated with couples and families seated with families). I know sometimes it can’t be helped but in this case it shouldn’t have been like this.

The food has great flavor, but the share was much smaller than what we expected. The campfire beef was super tender and flavorful, but they only gave us 4 pieces of beef in the whole dish while the picture on the menu showed like 8 pieces. We wonder if it was because a lot of people wanted to order it so they had to reduce the amount to make sure everyone got a share. Another chicken dish we ordered was also smaller than what we expected. The campfire chicken also looked great on the picture, but they were already out when we got there, which was a bit disappointing. The waitress was pretty nice and checking out the items at the nearby country style novelty store was cool. They have a lot of rocking chairs outside in the waiting area and checkers to play to kill time.

Our server was great. The food average. Crackle Barrel is a good go to when traveling and offers better food than fast food places. The prices are reasonable but it hit and miss on quality.

This Cracker Barrel is clean. I'm a stickler for looking at all the decor on the walls. This is by far the cleanest CB I've been to. The server was great. She checked on us many times throughout the meal and she offered to take the hash brown casserole back because it didn't look very crispy. We kept what we had. The food was typical CB fare.

I have always loved Cracker Barrel, but today was not a good experience. I ordered the meat loaf it was burned and the portion was very small. I could have lived with the portion but it being burned was bad. I would not have served what I got today to anyone.

We purchased the heat and serve holiday mail. I don’t eat turkey. I heard the turkey breast was delicious. However, the other side were just not up to par. I had to do a little more than just heat and serve. I had to actually kind of doctor dishes with seasoning and other ingredients to make them edible so I was very disappointed to spend almost $200 on a meal that really required more than heating and serving, our pies were undercooked as well. Those should be just cut and eat. Very disappointed!!!

Kimberly was a great waitress but plates she brought in were used and dirty. Maybe the dishwasher wasn’t working properly or the staff mixed up clean and dirty plates. Also the hush puppies were completely frozen in the middle. We were charged for a milk that should have come free with the kids meal and it took some time to resolve that because 2 staff had to call a manager, even though it’s stated on the menu that drinks comes free with a kids meal including milk. Other than that it was great, but I hope these comments can help the establishment improve.

We go to a lot of Cracker Barrel and this was the first time I asked for no meat and asked for hasbrown casserole instead and the server was not so nice when I asked to supplement t it. She said the computer does not allow her to substitute be we can up charge. We'll? Sad to say customer service is going out the window. I mean a tablespoon of potatoes is way cheaper than 4 pieces of meat. Consider I was leas than a week before at another Crackle Barrel and they provided no meat but with hashbrown at no extra charge. The food was dry and the chicken in the dumplings was rubbery. My husband could not cut it with a fork. Just over all not the norm and sad to say will not be back to that one.

I was expecting the food to be better. Been to cracker barrel many times but this time is different. I ordered eggs over easy and got them almost hard boiled. Hash browns were greasy and burnt. Wife had to add pasty gravy in order to wet down the overcooked scrambled eggs. Our server was wonderful, but the lady that checked us out never cracked a smile or even asked how we were doing. We have been to this location twice in the last month, both times had a similar experience. The food seemed fresh but was barley warm, more like room temperature. On our last visit, about 10 minutes after we ordered our food, our waiter returned to tell us they were out of one of the entrees we ordered. Service was very slow. I came in alone to eat a late dinner and read my book to unwind on my way home from work. It was just past 8pm. Took 15 minutes to see my server and get a drink. Another 15 to order and almost 30 minutes to get my food. My server gave my check when he gave my food. So I saw him three times total. There were maybe four tables being served the whole time and I was one of them. Not great.sucksbc I wish it was.

Cracker Barrel has been a staple in our family for years. Here recently the quality has gone down to that of cafeteria food at best. Yet prices have continued to climb. It used to be home style, now it’s microwaveable. We’ve given them a few chances thinking it was what we ordered or an off day, but across the board it has been terrible food-breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sad sad day for our family.

Its been quite some time since I have dined at a Cracker Barrel restaurant in general. I decided to go to the location in Sherman, Texas. I'm not sure if this is a chain code issue or just Sherman in general. We ordered fried pickles from the appetizer menu. They were probably rhe best part of the meal. My daughter ordered the "New York strip" dinner. She irder with loaded mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. She order her steak well done. Her meal came out lukewarm and the steak was red throughout. Now I do understand some steaks are pink no matter the degree you cook them but I don't believe New York strip is one of those. I ordered the chicken fried steak dinner, mashed potatoes green beans and okra. My meal came out again lukewarm. I was missing the okra. The gravy on the steak tasted as tho it had been sitting most of the day and reheated a few times. Neither of us finished our meals because they were just not good at all. I don't believe I will visit this location again. I am not sure our server knew all of what she needed to do. We never received the biscuits and cornbread that normally come at the beginning. I am sorely disappointed in this whole experience.

The food was cold and some was just dried out and looked old! It was way too cold in there. But one of the managers did try to adjust that for us. Our server was excellent! It wasn't her fault the food was soooo terrible. It took me a long time to dine there for these exact reasons. And I don't think we will be returning again, any time soon!

My friends had ordered scrambled eggs. Her eggs had eggs shells in them. That was discovered close to her being done eating. The manager only offered to bring her more eggs, good heavens she was almost done eating! She could have at least offered her a discount. Unprofessional manager!!!

Sherman, TX Cracker Barrel review --- The food has been degrading for a few years now and this was the worst. I've been reading they are doing an overhaul of their restaurants, so we are going to wait a year or so until it's complete to visit again. The fried fish could not be picked up with fingers because it was soggy. The batter was flavorless. My wife's chicken fingers were dreadfully dry. The biscuits were over-baked and very dry, with the bottom almost black. The atmosphere and service was excellent, like usual. But...we go to eat good food 4-5 times/yr. Not any more, unfortunately.

Terrible experience! Expensive, bad, overcooked food, bad service! I truly thought because they weren't too busy that it would be okay... WRONG! We'll never go back!

It was very noisy. When our foo finally arrived it was warm to cold. I ordered the fried chicken salad. It was not a salad lovers dream. My friend order the lunch chicken n dumplings. There was no chicken!🐓. The food was just ok. Not very appetizing.

The breakfast menu was small and didn't include oatmeal. One of my favorites. It was too pricey. The food lacked flavor and the coffee wasn't even good. The service was great though.

Lots of open tables but had to wait 15 mins for a table. Host Lisbeth is super rude, and is more focused on lighting lamps instead of helping clean tables to seat people. When I did get a table James our waiter was excellent, wait for food wasn’t long and James kept our drinks full. Unfortunately, Food was not the greatest and they were out of hash browns. Bummer because we use to love coming here.

I've been to cracker barrel many times through the years. This one used to be very good, but now you are better off avoiding this location. The food was low quality. They only brought out half of my order and I had to ask twice for the 2nd half. When I mentioned the fact that I did not like the french toast and wanted to send it back, I was given nothing but attitude. It is a shame that this place still has the crack barrel name.

I just got out of the doctor's office went to have a big bowl of broccoli and cheese and macaroni and cheese or whatever the Hell she's eating and we sat there for an hour and 15 minutes with him keeping on coming back and telling us that our order had been messed up once again and once again and once again staff needs to be replaced cookies from cooking schools and liners please figure out what he's going to do or she's going to do when that plays fall through

The wait staff is either purposely slow or incompetent. Don't expect your food to be hot or on time. Do not expect a drink or a refill. Do not expect anything about your meal to be good. Go in with the lowest expectations and you will still be dissatisfied. I tried hard to be nice. I had a couple next to me walk out because of everything mentioned above. I shared my napkins and biscuits with cause I felt bad the service was worse than mine. Here is that participation 🏆 everyone gets.

Went to the Cracker Barrel in Sherman Texas recently. We were greeted by the Hostess who informed us they didn't have kids menus, strike number 1. We had 2 kids with us. We were seated and from there it got worse. As we waited and waited and waited, we never met our server after 15 minutes of waiting. So, we decided to walk out and go to Texas Roadhouse, where the service is Awesome. Not sure what happened to Cracker Barrel, but the last few times we went there, it's been less than stellar. I forsee the Cracker Barrel in Sherman going out of business.

We ordered catering for Thanksgiving. It was a small get together so we ordered the smaller option for 4-6. Pickup was extremely unorganized and they were late approximately 20-25 minutes. The photos on the website are very misleading and in no way will this feed 4-6 people for a holiday. Very disappointed in the food(quality and taste). Such small portions. Do not recommend and will not order again.

We have enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with Cracker Barrel every year. Its just easier and quicker. This year was very very disappointing. We asked for the Holiday dinner. (Table 322 11/28/24 09:55am)The server was very rude Lilyann also when she brought the food it was turkey, stuffing, and sweet potatoes. We remember the dinner having a larger variety of different portions and options of food provided. Then when we spoke to her about it she "O let me go check" so she brought back a small portion of green beans(which were burnt tasting) and a condiment (very small) portion of cranberry sauce. When I asked to speak to a manager at the cashier desk/register. A manager (blonde hair lady with blue eyes slim build) approached me and stated how may I help you and right as I was about to speak she interrupted me and told the cashier to place an order for a pumpkin pie. Service was downright horrible. Tried to order harsh brown casserole and was told it would be 20 min. So I ordered French toast. Took over 40 minutes to get our food. I would have gotten what I wanted!!!! Because of it taking so long After getting our drinks. I finished drinking my coffee way before I got my food. I will never go back to that location!!!! As we were getting up to leave. The waitress took our plates and dropped them and they shattered everywhere. Horrible service!!!!!

We made the mistake of eating here while they were redoing the parking lot or some kind of construction. With the constant pounding we were unable to even have a conversation at our table and weren't even able to place our order with out having to stop and wait for the construction sounds to stop. The food wasn't very good either but that was ok gave us a reason to leave sooner. The staff was amazing and friendly but you could tell they were done with the day from all the noise and i dont blame them. The manager should have shut down the store for the repairs.

I am not one who writes reviews, but i felt compelled to write this one. My husband and I visited on 11/30/24. As soon as we walked up to the hostess stand the problem began . We were not promptly acknowledged as we were the only folks in line. The hostess apologized for this. The restaurant was not crowded at all. When we were seated it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come to our table. We ordered drinks and the waitress forgot my creamer, and it took about 5 minutes for her to return with it. She took our orders, and we waited for our food for about 30 minutes. The waitress advised us that they were having difficulty with there tickets in the kitchen and she also stated they were frying our eggs again. She then left our table. As we sat there two couples that came in way after us received there food. We were still waiting for our waitress to come back again with our food We also noticed that our waitress also greeted all the other folks that came in after us promptly. At this point we decided to leave. I have never had service like this at any Cracker Barrel I have ever visited. Extremely dissappinted.

If you have ALL day to wait ,have at it . I’ve been here 45 minutes waiting on an order. And all I have got over and over is “ can I help you find something “ like I’m stealing. Not anything to the point of sorry for your wait . Nothing … I strongly feel the place lacks the appreciation of peoples time and sucks!

I needed to go order. It was supposed to be ready by 5:25 when I showed up I called and told him that I was there I was told it would be 10 more minutes. When I receive my food it was cold I ordered the chicken strips. They were hard and shriveled up and like being under a heat lamp for a while I normally order them because they’re normally crispy and juicy.
