Always a favourite of ours when we vacation in Skaneateles. Food, service and prices are great!
This was a Dimond in the rough, last second find. This place was great. The food, the drinks, and the service was all spot on.
Great food, plenty of parking (watch for the meter maid in summer) Earl plays Sinatra on the sound system. Wonderful staff, Will shares college experiences, Alexa read my play. The waitresses are adorable, especially the Ukrainian one. For breakfast or lunch this is the place. Actually in Skaneateles it's the only place.
Such a cute place! Love their unique breakfast options! The owners and staff are so nice and kind.
I love going to have breakfast here. The food is great with plenty of options! The area is also beautiful if you want to check out the shops!
Love this place! I usually get the Western Omelette, it’s always great. Good deals, good service, tasty food. 👍👍
My favorite lunch spot in Skaneateles! The service is always amazing and the food is so delicious. It's a challenge deciding between the Red Pepper Roast Beef and the Bacon Jam Burger, but you can't go wrong with either. Throw in a side of sweet potato fries and dig in. No matter what you order, you will not be disappointed!
I go here frequently and I love this place. Servers are always friendly and attentive! The food is amazing
What Skaneateles needed, after the sad demise of The Hilltop, was a dependable place for breakfast, lunch or just a cup of hot coffee. Clover’s is just that and more. It’s reminiscent of the New Jersey diners that I grew up in; expansive menu, fresh ingredients, consistency, no frills, just flat out delicious and affordable food. The atmosphere is clean and bright and extremely comfortable. As for the service, efficient and friendly only begin to describe it. Nicole, Vickie, Ruby, Alexa and the rest are quick with a smile do an amazing job making one feel at home from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. HIGHLY recommend!! 10/10
Food is so good, worth the wait. The customizable omelettes have my favoritism, the taste is indulging and intoxicating in a good way. Love the way staff interacts and does service, personally very kind and lovely! My best friend loved the drinks the most, the ice tea is the best— not too sweet, but not too bad either. The place is really nice, atmosphere was welcoming, reminds me of a cozy café, obviously my vibe. Would definitely recommend visiting😊
The word diner implies a solid fixture within a community offering an extensive restaurant menu within an informal setting. The decor of the Clover gives a more upscale impression, but it’s the people inside who recognize many customers by name and treat them like family that gives you that informal community feeling. The menu offers the usual breakfast fair along with some unique choices with portions large enough to feed three. What I found most surprising was the up charge for substituting gluten-free for regular bread was the least expensive I’ve seen. Definitely, an experience worth having again.
hadn't dined here since the move from the top of the hill. what a treat I had this morning. plenty of seating, clean, good acoustics. large and softly cooked cheese omelette, piping hot crispy potatoes and fresh rye bread. a very decent cup of coffee. pricing reasonable for the insanity of today's inflation. Ava the young sweet server was a dream.
Clover’s Diner is a true standout! It offers all the comfort and familiarity you'd expect from a classic diner, but with a fresh, clean, and beautifully maintained space that feels inviting and well cared for. The soup was absolutely fantastic — clearly homemade, rich in flavor, and served piping hot. It's the kind of comfort food that hits the spot and keeps you coming back. The staff were wonderful — genuinely attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without being intrusive. You can tell they care about making sure guests have a good experience. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or a relaxed meal, Clover’s Diner delivers quality food in a bright, clean setting with great service. Highly recommend!!
My husband and I ordered takeout breakfast online for the first time here and really enjoyed it. The order was packaged very neatly in containers. We both had byo omelettes with fruit. We were impressed by the amazing portion sizes of the entree and fruit platter. Our order was correct, on time, and super flavorful. Overall we thought the value and quality were great!
Tried this little gem diner this morning and have to say it was surprisingly great! The staff were super friendly, especially our waiter Will. Tried the egg sandwich and home fries. Very fresh, tasty, and filling! Would love to try some of the lunch items soon because I know I’ll be returning 🙏 very nice atmosphere inside all around
When in the area, this is one of my wife's favorite breakfast/brunch places and as a result, we frequent it a lot. During non-holiday weekends, expect to wait 10-15mins since it is popular and not a huge place. The staff has always been very friendly. The food has always been fresh and very good quality. The veggie omelette is the best I have ever had.
The food, prices and welcoming atmosphere here was so good I had to share! I’m new to living in the Village so this was a sweet surprise. The bacon/onion/spinach quiche was rich and full of flavor (it’s the heavy cream mixed in.) The homemade Italian toast was sliced thick and served crisp. The fruit was cut fresh (not from a jar opened last week) and the coffee was hot from a newly-brewed pot and topped off several times while I ate. The price they charged for my breakfast was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food received. Best of all; my server, Denise, couldn’t have been friendlier or more attentive. Thanks so much to Clover’s! Well done all around.
Ample parking out back.Went here with friends for brunch. I ordered a tuna sandwich and the French Onion Gratinee crock of soup. My company ordered the basic breakfast and a BLT. My soup tasted like they used a chicken stock instead of beef. It had swiss cheese on the top and barley any onions. Maybe three in the whole crock of soup. Also the onions were not caramelized. The tuna sandwich was bland and didn't have enough mayo. The basic breakfast was good the eggs were cooked right . The BLT was on a cibata bread and had loads of bacon. The bacon was nice and crispy. You could tell the bacon had been cooked ahead of time though. Then reheated or something. Also my friend said the orange juice tasted kinda funny.Overall it was ok.
I ordered french fries with my hamburger and the fries were cold and not crispy at all. I ordered extra chipotle mayo and they were very cheap with the mayo, gave me hardly any. My boyfriend ordered over easy eggs and the first time they cooked it, the eggs were over cooked and then the second time they cooked it the eggs were under cooked. The cook can't cook. It's not cheap to eat here but I'm a middle class person, which means I'm not rich.
The Guac and cheddar burger was very greasy and flavorless. The onions in the French onion soup weren’t fully cooked. My boyfriend ordered a breakfast combo and the bacon looked like it was generic microwaved bacon and his potatoes looked like they weren’t cooked all the way. Definitely won’t be back.
My wife and I were seated immediately! Took about 10 minutes for the waitress to take our simple breakfast order and another 35 minutes of waiting. We ended up leaving. Not acceptable. Will not return.
We were sat immediately, but it took another 15 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order, and we also gave our food order at the same time. It took roughly another 10 mins to get our drinks, the food came over 45 minutes later and it was cold on some of our plates when it arrived - and to be frank, it wasn’t really worth the wait. The whole time, I had 1 coffee refill, and no one asked my family if they needed anything. I had to request eating utensils because we were never given any. I asked for creamer that never came until the end. My husband sat with an empty iced tea glass the entire time after finishing his drink while we waited for food. Meanwhile- we watched people come in after us receive prompt service. The only thing that came quickly to our table was the check - and someone had to find our server to cash us out. Never have I ever, even at a busy restaurant, had such a poor experience. We will not ever go back.
Took 40 minutes to get our food. Wouldn’t recommend anything. We waiting 20 minutes to be seated and once we were seated, another 40 minutes to be served. Our coffee wasn’t refilled and the orange juice was overly concentrated and had horrible flavor otherwise. The French toast (pictured) looked unappetizing when it came out. Both the French toast and the pancakes were bland and very tough (difficult to cut and chew). The seasoning (just salt and pepper) and cookedness of the home fries were very inconsistent. Most were mushy while some were barely cooked, most were unseasoned while some were caked in salt and pepper. They were out of sausage patties at 10am. The bacon was decent though. We visit a lot of diners throughout the northeast and this one was definitely the worst for us. It seems like the owner put much more effort into the appearance of the place than the quality of the food.
