Most delicious sandwich I ever had!

The food is excellent and the staff that works there are very professional. I go there all the time with my oldest daughter when she is in town.

Good food reasonably priced. Arrive hungry and save room for dessert. You won’t be disappointed

We had a delicious meal. My mom always get the Reuben which comes with home made chips which were out of this world. I had the 1/2 turkey wrap and homemade man salad which was also delicious and very fresh. I'd highly recommend Emma Cleary's.

I love this place and try to go for lunch once a week. Usually two or three choices of soup and for me the half sandwich and cup of soup lunch special is pretty much all I order.

Warm and inviting place for breakfast or lunch. Friendly staff and good food make the whole experience really a favorite spot to go with friends. Outside and inside seating. You will almost always see another friend while there. This adds to the cozy hometown feel.

We love this place. The sandwiches are great, they have the perfect crispy fries and plenty of pastries/cookie options. A little out of the way but worth the stop.

The BEST sandwhich shop in Slingerlands! Soups, sandwhiches, and fresh bakery. Home made everything! This is a not sit down reasturant, it's a cafe style sandwhich shop. There is nice seating inside and outside. If you want a REAL sandwhich, loaded with meats and toppings, or an incredible salad, this is a MUST. Only downside is the hours, but the warm feel and small town ownership makes you feel at home.

Absolutely delicious blueberry pie!! And pickles! We also had chicken tenders, French fries, and a turkey sandwich, which was all fantastic.

I had the best experience at Emma Cleary’s this evening. The service was amazing, the woman working was very kind and sweet. The food was amazing, I ordered a cheeseburger and it was cooked to perfection! The chef who prepared it was very sweet as well. All I can say is if you want a good bite to eat go to Emma Cleary’s!

I live in Niskayuna; totally worth the drive today! I am a turkey club connoisseur and was so impressed by theirs. I love the attention to little details...the lettuce was curly and crisp, tomatoes were good (it's April in New York!); the pickle on the side was substantial. Good fries too. Also, I got a peanut butter layered brownie that was delicious. Will definitely return! There is outdoor seating too for nice days.

First time here after hearing great things for quite awhile. Food is absolutely fantastic, place is super clean and sunny, very sweet employees, reasonably priced, large portions and this cinnamon roll! Simply incredible. Possibly the best thing I have ever tasted. Very happy with our visit, we will be regulars.

Love this place! Is on my way to work so unfortunately haven’t tried anything else than their breakfasts which, so far they all have been delicious, especially their bagel breakfast sandwiches, coffees and their lattes are great. I like peppermint mocha or raspberry mocha lattes. Would concluded saying that prices are very reasonable as well. 🥰

I tried this restaurant with my wife for the first time, going for a weekday lunch. I was very pleasantly surprised by the experience. The full-house crowd was enjoying themselves in animated conversation. My pulled pork sandwich and fries were delicious and so was my wife's Italian mix. Both sandwiches were so filling that we had to have only a light dinner that evening. When we left about 1:30, the place was stilled packed with people in conversation. It was a very pleasant experience. Definitely a place to go back to again.

Delicious breakfast menu and baked goods. They offer gluten free wraps, and delicious drinks, like lattes, London fog, etc. (and self-serve coffees too, if you just want a regular or flavored coffee with your breakfast. Weather providing, you can enjoy the outdoor seating areas.

This place is amazing! I don't leave reviews very often but we have ordered here for years. The food is great, they always adjust orders for us (we don't eat beef). Staff is wonderful. Cannot say enough. 100 percent recommend 👌

Love this place. Great bakery items, soups and sandwiches. Specials change daily. They had shrimp corn chowder today - outstanding. The sandwiches usually have a twist from the routine sandwich. It's worth the drive to New Scotland.

We have gotten pastry and cookies to go previously, tonight we had a delightful dinner on their porch. Nice simple but fun menu and of course their famous deserts.. They are open till 9 Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The service was friendly and very good.

As one of the new owners I would invite anyone to stop by and try our hot and cold lunches, chips done on premise and a very large variety of scrumptious baked goods made here too. I ordered the blarney (Roast beef wrap with lettuce, tomato, cheese and a horseradish dressing. It was delicious and a good size (12 inch), enough for my wife and I. Cute place with plenty of parking.

Not the place you think you would find one of the best fish and chips in the Capital Region but it's exactly where it's located! Delicious food, friendly staff and the prices are amazing. Highly recommend anything on the menu, you won't be disappointed.

I didn't eat in but I got a fish fry takeout and it was excellent! The batter was crisp and delicious, the cod was perfectly, still juicy. It satisfied my fish and chips craving perfectly!

If you’re looking for an excellent burger experience…I recommend the “Sully” (make it medium rare)! 1/2 pound burger, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, lettuce & tomato w/nice crispy fries…you can’t beat it. Super friendly service staff too. I had one a week ago and had to come back for more. Delicious…and cooked to perfection (just the way you like it). Next time you’re craving a good burger or sandwich, be sure to head to Emma’s!

Before visiting my mom in Voorheesville with family traveling from North Carolina, New Jersey, and New York City, I asked for catering recommendations for about 10 people and chose Emma Cleary's Cafe. From my first conversation with owner Brian through our last bite, we were thoroughly impressed! Planning a meal for ages ranging from 13 months to 83 years isn't easy, but Brian was flexible and accommodating, even as I second-guessed my choices. He provided a helpful menu while remaining open to modifications. The food arrived hot, fresh, and delicious -- better than we expected. The pricing was very reasonable as well. If I could offer one suggestion: expanding beverage options would be a nice addition to their catering service. That said, I'd highly recommend Emma Cleary's Cafe for catering services.

Stopped in with a friend last night. Server was pleasant, food was excellent, and I think our bill was like $35. Place was very clean and sold snacks and things from what looked like local artisans. Great place to stop! Definitely recommend.

Really good food and great prices. I had an Emma, which really hit the spot. Everyone like their wraps and burgers. Also had a cherry turn over which was super flakey. Only downside is that tables are not wiped down much. I did it myself. The service is counter order no waiters although the orders are brought to table. This does make the price lower. Also only 1 bathroom unisex. I would come back hete though. The meals were satisfying.

I can't remember the last time I was thankful for a late evening iced coffee craving, because that's what brought me to Emma Cleary's! I've been wanting to check this place out and it took me a bit too long to do so, but here we are and here I've found a spot that I'll be going to more often. So yeah, the need for an iced coffee is what got me in my car, but the vegetable quesadilla on the menu got me excited to try this place out. The location is great for me and parking is easy, and the decor and atmosphere makes it feel like it's a local staple. As for the customer service, it was great from start to finish, it felt like I've been going there for years!! Okay now the food. The quesadilla was filled and had weight to it, it was flavorful with the right amount of variety, plus it came with house made chips (get them!!). I also saw fries on the menu and figured why not (the Mets were playing and I was stress eating, idc if you judge, it was necessary), and they make it just the way I like it. And finally, the reason I went there - the iced coffee, I will easily go back just for that and the fact that I really enjoyed my first visit!!

We tried all three specials and really liked them. The muffins and pastries looked great but I'll need to try them in the future.

Ordered a couple takeout items to see how they were. Lasagna - guessing it was frozen and thawed, pasta was mush and had a thick layer of very dry cheese. Fish fry, same. Very small, dry pieces of fish - no tartar or cocktail sauce provided. Fries were crisp and flavorful. Edit - wife is very happy with them, they make her a Rachel which is not actually on the menu. Also had a delicious apple turnover today. will continue to try new items.

I'm a frequent lunch customer. If in a rush try to avoid 12pm as it gets crowded fast or call in to go. Good choice of sandwiches (Turkey Roma and Sully to name a couple)and good soup along with weekly specials. They also have an espresso machine and I buy a flavored latte to go with my lunch. Baked goods are available and on display.

As with practically any bakery/restaurant, there are pros and cons. First off, the food was delicious. The prices are reasonable. There's a self serve coffee bar. My coffee was hot and fresh. There is no waiter/waitress service (I wish there was). You order and pay at the counter. This being a bakery, I asked if they made their own breads. I was told that they do not which was surprising to me. I asked if I could buy a loaf of bread and was told it's not sold by the loaf. I see no reason for not selling a loaf of bread in a bakery. That was disappointing. Overall I was pleased though and will return. I do recommend even though there is some room for improvement.

My husband and I go out to lunch almost every Saturday, and this is one of our favorite spots. The sandwiches are great (my husband loves the Reuben) and I try different things. Today I had my first major disappointment. I had a simple grilled cheese on wheatberry bread. The was very little cheese in the bread, and what was there was only in the very middle of the bread, leaving about 1/2 of the sandwich consisting of plain unadorned toast. Very disappointing & and pretty dull. Their quesadillas, other sandwiches and wraps, homemade fries, and onion rings are delicious and ample, but stay away from the grilled cheese! Oh - and we had an apple pie for Thanksgiving - one of the best I have ever eaten!

I had the Roma grilled sandwich (only $13.00) which was excellent. It contains roasted turkey, artichokes, roasted red peppers, provolone, and red pepper pesto mayo on grilled panini bread. My friend had the tuna salad wrap which he liked. Both came with a side of thick potato chips. The soup was too salty for my taste. Order at the counter and then a waitress deliver's the order to you. Outside seating is available, but there is noise from the traffic. Atmosphere is basic.

I went for the first time, the atmosphere was nice. It just smells of food inside, the ventilation is insufficient. You can smell that smell for a second, and you don't like it. We smelled so much smell just to drink coffee. A good air conditioner and ventilation could work. The dessert was good.

I usually am very satisfied with my meals here. However, this is the 2nd time I’ve taken out on a friday night and I have been disappointed with the food both times. Not the same cook as during the week and it shows. The waitstaff had to ask me what went into a ceasar salad wrap and it came out with kale and no dressing. I won’t be ordering on the weekends anymore.

so the staff were very friendly. It was not that busy on 9/21/24 around noon but it took 25 minutes to make 2 chicken sandwiches'. They were supposed to come with special dressing on the sandwich but the bread was dry and hard as a rock. The chicken was hard as a rock that plastic knifes hard a hard time cutting let alone chewing. the place was very clean.

So I'm eating breakfast at Emma Jane's or whatever it is. Emma cleary's and some woman walks in very sad with a wheelchair. I am asked to get up eating our breakfast. Then the sun takes our whole table. We're sitting there choking on our food. Then I go up to see if I could buy a couple of hard rolls cuz they are a bakery and they tell me $2 a hard roll $12 half dozen seriously wow I never been so embarrassed and humiliated The woman just threw us out of our table. What a world

Let me start with the coffee. It is delicious. I give them that. But it's kinda down hill from there. It's a weekend, so I can't hold it against them, but I was pretty disappointed they ran out of corned beef hash. I got the sandwich with sliced corned beef instead. The corn beef is abut dry (maybe try and steam it on the grill to keep some moisture in). I do like the roll it's on though. I got 2 sides of home fries, one of which I asked for them to be crispy. Now I know a lot of places do this, but I absolutely do not agree with this; they throw them in the deep fryer to get them "crispy." Which then takes away any seasoning they would have had on them. They have absolutely no flavor, and they aren't crispy because they throw a lid on it as soon as they come out, which then makes them soft, essentially steaming the potatos. My other order (not cripsy) has seasoning on them. I do recommend that when someone orders crisp home fries, just take the time to keep them on the grill. Put a weight on them. Anyone who orders crisp knows it will take a bit longer. I don't want flavorless potato chunks. The pancakes flavor is good, but they are definitely over cooked. My last critique is that your cooks in the back should truly be wearing a hat of some sort or at least put it in a bun. Her hair was bouncing all over the place. Now, I haven't found any hair in my food, but it's truly a situation waiting to happen. Also, I understand working in a kitchen, I was a chef for 10+ years, but please please please, if you're going to eat while cooking, ensure customers can't see it. I saw her pop multiple home fries in her mouth. Again, I understand it's fast-paced. She probably has been cooking all morning and is very hungry. Just don't do it by the window you're sending food out in, and definitely don't do it over the grill. I'm going to end this review on a good note. The pastries looked absolutely delicious and gave the front counter a great aesthetic. The front counter girl was very friendly and did a great job, so kudos to her. I really, really hope you guys take my recommendation on the hat or bun thing for ur cooks though. Overall, I'll give Emma Cleary's a 2.6/5.

Just had lunch for two at the restaurant. Soup was cold. Missing utensils. Food was just OK and seemed overpriced. Almost no air conditioning. We have been customers for years but we keep seeing a constant decline. This was our last visit.

While the food is decent, more care could be taken with the upkeep, cleaning and feel of the dining room. The ceiling is caked with dust, and the napkin holders on the tables look like they haven't been cleaned in 2 years.

Food was very good but not too friendly atmosphere. We didn't know we had to go order, no one said anything. Since they were only open for breakfast and lunch we thought we could still get breakfast at 11:30 as people were coming in from church. So we were disappointed

Just got the empire sandwich. There was SO much dressing on it that the entire sandwich was a soggy mess. I had to take it home, wipe off the dressing, and fry it in the pan until it was edible again. Every time I go they overload the dressings.

I had a chicken salad wrap and the used canned chicken, so gross 🤮, a cafe should take time to make a real chicken salad using real chicken. There were flies all over the place and the girl behind the counter was swatting them above all the pastries…. Last time I will be eating there ….

Ordered takeout on a Tuesday night. Nobody in the place, was told food would be ready in 35 minutes and still had to wait when I arrived. The kitchen looked like it was being run by a couple college kids. Burger was literally a hockey puck with zero juice and only half the patty melt had cheese (not sure how that happens). The quesadilla, although decent tasting, was basically half filled. Fries were the best part, crispy and good. Grabbed a couple pastries which were solid as well. It was also very warm inside with only 1 portable AC trying to cool the place. Disappointing first impression for sure.

Took 50 minutes to get 3 sandwiches to go and multiple people got their orders before us who came in long after we did. People behind the counter just stood and stared at us. Sat on the counter bagged up for 40 minutes before anyone handed it to us. Absolutely terrible and will never come again

don’t waste your gas driving out here my wife found a piece of hair in her french toast (probably from the unkept cook) she took maybe one bite of food and noticed it.. as you can imagine she lost her appetite.. no apology from the cook no offer of a refund, not to mention the counter girl with her boots all over the counter so she can write the menu on the chalkboard 🤮 place is disgusting

This place is bad all around. Bad service and food. They weren't serving breakfast so I got a breakfast sandwich and it was only half a sandwich? Had to get more food after from somewhere else. They also messed up my sandwich which was literally just egg cheese and tomato. Service was horrible. We ordered a pastry and they never brought it out, I went back in to get it and also get my sandwich fixed and my sandwich sat in the window for 5 mins before they finally gave it back to me. I rarely write bad reviews and try to give people the benefit of the doubt because I used to work in the service industry, but this place was really disappointing. Don't waste your time like we did. Go to windowbox cafe right up the road. Much better food and service.
