Local social groups relax after a busy day. The pizza and wings were awesome. If your in the Sodus area stop in for an adult beverage.

We were greeted by Yannie, our server. She was very welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was prepared exactly as we asked and was delicious. Even the other guests added to the great atmosphere.

We ate at the Franklin House the last two weekends. First weekend, we had the filet special. Five star dinner !!! Yesterday, friends from NC were up and we went for fish fries and the dinner was 5 star. The service was amazing. The owner took time to visit with us for a few minutes. My opinion is the Franklin House is the best food served at the Point !!!

I had the dirty bird wings - done to perfection and so delicious. Hubby had the reuban and said it was very tender, rated one of his top favorites. Waitress Patty was fantastic. This was our first time here, def wont be our last!!

A group of six stopped for lunch on a windy day. Food was very good, my Buffalo Chicken Wrap was excellent. Service was a little slow but it allowed for time for conversation. No complaints.

If I could give this food a 10 I would. The most delicious mouth watering turkey and gravy sandwich you will ever eat in your life! The onion rings are out of this world. Service, price and decor are all wonderful.

Love the Franklin House! Food is good and the staff are great! We are usually part of a large party of people (8-14) and they usually can get us in with a reservation. We are regulars and go there for lunch or dinner. You can also call ahead and get takeout.

By far the best place to eat in town. I had the Trash Dog and the Kill the Irishman Dog and woefully had to throw in the towel half way through. So good, so filling, and piping hot. Meat sauce on the Trash Dog is a little spicy so be forewarned. Kraut on the Irish is spot on. Waffle fries to round it out. Girlfriend had the french dip. Lean, savory, melt in your mouth roast beef cooked on site. She chose the tots and was very pleased. Will make this a regular stop every time we come back to Sodus Bay. PBR ON TAP 🍻

This place was one of the best restaurants I've been to during my week in New York. There were so many things on the menu that I could choose from that I actually liked. Great beer selection. Waitress was super friendly and helpful! I ended up getting the Franklin Bowl which was one of the most delicious things I've eaten in a long time!

Jessie and Diane always treats us well, we had our rehearsal dinner here and it was phenomenal. Above and beyond service. The food! Great! the fish fry amazing! Steaks cooked right and never a wait. It’s hard to find restaurants like these anymore. I recommend this place to whom ever is in town.

We are local, but my first time there Can't wait to go back. My husband has had 2 stokes and uses a walker..when coming it, two great guys came out to help him in. Everything after that was perfect. Service, drinks and food..what a sweetheart Diane is. Makes you feel at home. Food was so good and the drinks, perfect. Such great service. Friendly hometown folks. Guys helped us out again on the way out. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back May be my new favorite place. Even bought some homemade baked cookies! Thanks so much!!!

This place is awesome!. The food was absolutely delish. I could taste the different layers of flavors and herbs in the New England clam chowder. My husband had the fish fry which was great, not greasy, it was crunchy, tasty, seasoned perfectly. All that and awesome service everyone was nice attentive and warm. Customer service at it's best. We are 4 hours away but I would go back there in a heartbeat!!!.

Came from out of town, on a whim, and they were able to give us a reservation for Father's Day last minute. We arrived early and they sat us immediately. The food was delicious, prices very fair and the staff was top notch. If we are ever in the area again, this would definitely be a stop for us.

BEST FOOD EVER! The food was absolutely amazing! Me and a group of friends went here and every one of us said it was the best meal we had. I personally ordered the bacon chicken ranch pizza. By far was this the tastiest pizza I've had in a long time from the sauce to the dough. All the portions are extremely generous. Waitress didn't back often enough though, and we kept running out of water but it could have been a off day. Once you try their food you will not be disappointed.

Went tonight with my parents. They had a great deal for pizza and wings, and both that we got were great! We waited a little bit for food, but not too long. The owner was waiting on us tonight and was very friendly and rather attentive for how busy the place was. Had a pretty nice dinner.

We've been going to the Franklin House on a semi-regular basis during summers for several years. Always good quality food, a nice home-town, friendly atmosphere and excellent service. This past weekend we were there for dinner and they were running a Pork Shank with Teriyaki Glaze special which I decided to try. It was amazing! Two very good sized pork shanks with the meat fork tender, and the glaze superb. I had mine with steamed broccoli which was the absolute perfection of broccoli-dom, perfect tenderness, flavor, and came with the perfect amount of butter; and the cole slaw, which was juicy and sweet/tart, just right. One of the best meals I've enjoyed anywhere in quite a while. Every time we go to Franklin House the food just gets better. Way to go guys 👍😁 My only regret that night was they didn't have their phenomenal carrot cake dessert available. Trust me, if you like carrot cake even a little, get this if they have it. Best ever (other than my own lol !) Prices were reasonable and the service was super friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning as often as possible !

I can't believe I haven't written a review of The Frankkin House ..... it's our go-to for the best bat food, drinks and music ..... and weekend breakfasts. No photos needed as everything is over the top (but we'll probably slide some in over the summer)

Highly recommend the Franklin House! Our table was ready 15 minutes within calling to make a reservation. Our server, Michelle, went above and beyond in making our dinner experience exceptional. The food came out quickly, was hot, fresh, and very tasty. We ordered buffalo chicken wraps, a jalapeño cheddar burger, onion rings, side salad, spicy shrimp soup special, and waffle fries. Would definitely return! Thank you for your hospitality! We absolutely loved it here!

This place is hands down THE BEST OF THE BEST in the Point.... I would consider it the best in a much larger area than just Sodus Point.... I can honestly say that I do not have a single compliant, nor have I ever heard anything negative from anyone else. Chicken finger, the BEST I'VE EVER EVER EVER HAD, same goes for their soft pretzel bites and sweet potato waffle fries... The service is amazing, and whether you are a local, or just visiting, you will absolutely receive the warmest welcome and be treated as if you've been a regular forever! There's so much more that I could say, but just do yourself a BIG FAVOR, check it out!....

Reservations are preferred if you want to sit right away, otherwise plan on a wait if it's the weekend. Nice view of the Bay. The environment is a little loud for conversation, but totally worth it!

This is a great friendly tavern. We stopped in for a beer and to check it out in the late afternoon. The beer selection is not large but they have a good variety that should make anyone happy. The Thin Man "Burning Money" was really good. Sue the bartender was welcoming and attentive. The customers were also friendly. We didn't get food but the menu offers a range of typical bar food to full meals. The gentleman we met at the bar, Alan, said his meatloaf sandwich was very good. Definitely worth a visit compared to the "downtown" Sodus Point options.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere ( would have preferred to have been seated outside).. chowder tasted of chemicals. Ordered the steak and shrimp/ scallop special. Steak ordered med rare, came out pretty rare and tough.. very attentive staff, sub par food

Food was pretty good. Staff were very friendly, and even directed me to the best outlet to charge my phone. The food wasn't exactly cheap but I doubt most people are coming for that.

We have been to the Franklin House twice and would likely go back. The food is very good and the fish fry is probably the best I've ever had. The fish was meaty and had just enough batter on it.The potato skins had large pieces of bacon on them with ample potato left on the skin. I do not recommend the nachos. They were bland and included no meat. I had to ask for salsa in order to make them edible and I still had to trade dinners with my husband. Another negative is that it is very loud. We'll be eating outside next time. All in all, it's a good restaurant with great service.

Great little bar if you're looking for a great stiff drink and pizza and wings. It can get pretty crowded on summer weekends, so be patient. Their wings are great and the owner Jessie is also friendly. Our favorite waiter is Drew and he is a ton of fun to be served by!

The food, service and drinks were all excellent. The reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the bartender was very loud and his language was foul. I’m not sure if I should ever bring my wife and children into the place.

The food here is very good. If you can sit outside during the summer, I highly recommend it because there’s a beautiful view of the bay. However, in the winter, the dining room can be quite loud, which might be overwhelming for someone with hearing impairments.

You can't go wrong at the franklin house tavern. I was there for lunch and everything was great, I can't wait to go back for dinner. Typical tavern with a friendly environment, and priced appropriately for the area it's a must try. If you have a chance, try the shrimp and chorizzo gumbo soup, it was amazing!

Awesome little pub spot right off of Rt14. Amazing food, Diane is an amazing server who has been there forever. Great beer selection, my only gripe is it’s pricey! $18.75 for a blue cheese bacon burger is excessive. 3 meals and 3 sodas and you’re at $100 bucks, plus tip!

Outside deck was not open when we went, was a warm July evening. Definitely not a place to enjoy a meal, some drinks with conversation. Waitress was nice and tentative. Food was not the best. Inside atmosphere was pretty loud, couldn't hear to have have conversation across table...had to be next to and shouting in ear. If you are looking for place for drinks this is it. If you are looking for ability to enjoy good meal and conversation I would suggest forgoing this place and going elsewhere.

Went there for dinner. Walked in and nobody greeted you, there was no sign that said wait to be seated or seat yourself so we quietly took a back table. Went to sit down and after 5 minutes the owner and a waiter approached us at a table that did not say “reserved”. He proceeded to yell as loud as he could for every person in that restaurant to hear that the table was reserved for a party. I’m sure people at Jacks could hear him. Completely embarrassing. He then tried to rush another table that was still dining to place us somewhere. We got up and left. Will never return.

The owners should update Google about the hours they are open. At the least leave a message informing customers that they won't be open on specific days.
