My family visited Mi Cocina for my daughter's birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. We went on a Sunday around 5:15 pm for dinner, checked in and we were seated promptly. It wasn't too busy and we were seated in a large booth. Very nice atmosphere, and our waiter was very courteous and on top of everything. There were eight of us total and four of us had never been before, the waiter brought out some different sauces for us to try and explained them thoroughly because two of the people in my group could not eat anything very spicy! The food was fantastic, cooked as ordered, and brought out quickly! It was a great experience! We will definitely be going back again. Thank you.

Adrian was absolutely outstanding! From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome and taken care of. He was attentive without being overbearing, always checking in at the right moments, and his knowledge of the menu made ordering so much easier. Every recommendation he gave was spot-on, and you could tell he genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. His positive attitude and professionalism really stood out, and he kept a smile on his face the entire time. Highly recommend asking for him—you won’t be disappointed!

Had such a lovely late lunch with my family this afternoon. Everything was so tasty, and the portions were very generous. I’ve eaten at Mi Cocina a few years back and enjoyed, but the food was far better than I remembered today! 😀 The best chimichanga I’ve had, and the kids meals were fantastic. Always a plus! Wonderfully clean restaurant, and the staff were very attentive and kind!

we had such a great first visit to Mi Cocina thanks to Jennifer! she was so kind and helpful, walking us through the menu, letting us try some of the sauces, and even sharing her personal favorites. she answered all our questions and made sure to keep our avocado allergy in mind, which meant a lot. Jennifer was super sweet and made us feel totally taken care of :) we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

It’s super nice and clean inside. Everyone inside was super friendly including customers. Our server Hector was a cool guy who made us laugh. I highly recommend the mambo taxi drink and ceviche! Update: the server definitely makes the experience. Lilly took my girlfriend’s ID to a table of managers then came back and quizzed her on her ID. Asking her age and if she’s “sure” and what month her birthday is. I felt discriminated against. Nothing like the first experience with Hector.

Went in tonight for date night. The service by Maria and Javier was spectacular at the bar !! Love the food here and the drinks are amazing. We got a double barrel margarita and the Mi Cocina Platter which came out fast and delicious. Finished dinner off with a chocolate tres leches cake which was decadent and exquisite. Definitely a place to grab a good bite as well as great handmade margaritas!! Highly recommend !!

Great dinner with the wife. We had really good service and the food was awesome. Wife had a skinny smash drink and it was awesome. I ordered Luann’s dinner and the wife ordered chicken nachos half order. Both were great and my guacamole chalupa was very fresh and tasted great. The place was a little loud as are many restaurants but that’s my only negative observation. Photos attached of dinner and drink. Enjoy!!

My favorite Mexican place in DFW. The Mambo Taxi is the best drink by far and is very strong. Sunset Style Fajitas are so great and I've ordered them for over 20 years. service is great always.

Today I went here for a birthday celebration for my aunt at 2:00 pm. We had a party of 12 people. It took them almost 40 mins to just get drinks. They only had one server for a big party. Other servers was sitting down playing with their phones. They had another server on the staircase looking in his phone. I had to go to the manager to ask for another server to help with the table. We were there for another 40 mins before we got our food. I was disappointed with my food. My steak fajita were well done and not medium. Didn't have enough meat after taking away the onion, peppers and potatoes. The meat was chewy. The beans were dry, u can tell they had been sitting. I will give a thumbs up to our waiter Victor because he tried to keep us happy. Some of my families meals were good. It was a disappointing meal for the money I paid. I enjoyed the drink and that was about it. The birthday celebration was just okay. The food didn't enhance the celebration.

I got the sour cream enchiladas and they were very dry, stingy with the cream sauce. Very disappointing.

I’m not one to ever leave negative reviews, but I’ve never in my life had a more awful case of food poisoning than I did after eating the fajita beef nachos. I’m not sure if the meat was improperly stored or what, but I was so miserable i ended up in the emergency room after hours of non stop sickness.

Dined here Sunday afternoon, food and atmosphere were nice, staff were friendly. The issue I had was when ordering the Cocina changa the waiter asked me what type of meat I wanted and gave me a list of options to choose from. I choose fajita meat, was not told of any up charge and when the bill came it had $10 additional charge for this change, was disappointed in this practice and it felt underhanded.
