Hands down the best Pizza in town. The fried calamari was yum. Zucchini chips are addicting. The cheese ravioli with pesto sauce was extremely satisfying! We love how they make all of their sauces in house too. Harrison provided great service and the atmosphere was also really pleasant. Will absolutely be back because I will be thinking of that pesto sauce until then.

THE best pizza EVER!! This place is worth a drive for a date night. Independently owned and operated, great care goes into every detail, and it shows. While we were there, we met several regulars who say they visit frequently. If you like pizza, Coal Vines is a must-visit!

We recently dined at Coal Vines with good friends and everyone loved it ! The atmosphere was relaxing and felt up scale without being stuffy. The owner, Darren made us feel welcome and greeted so many tables. They have a great wine list and the fried Zucchini chips they bring to the table are addicting ! Between us we ordered the mixed green salad, jumbo meatballs and a variety of pizzas. Some of our favorites were the pear and Gorgonzola and the drunken meat lovers pizza. We topped off our meal with beautiful Affogatos. We highly recommend this little gem and can’t wait to go back.

Had Coal Vines earlier today for the first time in 3 years and my goodness, It's as good as I remember. Their pizza tastes amazing. You can taste all of the quality ingredients. Plus!!! The service was PERFECT. Emily (I'm sorry if I spelt that wrong) was AMAZING. Her hospitality was top notch and she answered every question we had. And finally, the atmosphere. UGH I JUST LOVE IT. It has the perfect low mood lighting, and music. It really makes you feel like you're in a secret pizza spot in New York, I just LOVE IT. Overall, I'm giving Coal Vines an ♾️/10. It's too good to put on a scale. We WILL be coming back. THANK YOU COAL VINES!!!

This was my second visit. Their pizza is exceptional. My favorite is the chicken bacon ranch. I'm from the northeast and love pizza. This place can go toe to toe with the best of them. We will be back!

Delicious pizza! Nice chewy crust and perfectly foldable New York style. The fresh garlic topping isn’t too overpowering and all toppings are perfectly cooked. No raw onions just strewn across the top.

My husband and I were running errands in the area, and we decided to try Coal Vines for an early Saturday dinner. We were so glad that we did! This is a cozy Italian eatery with a vintage charm. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious! Our server was kind, attentive, and offered several suggestions. My husband said the pizza crust was one of the best he’s ever tasted. Note: Keep your eyes open when looking for the restaurant, as it’s a little tucked away between retail storefronts. But it has plenty of easy parking available!

Went on a beautiful rainy day and enjoyed a delicious meal. Service was also great! Love pizza, but also had cheese ravioli, which was delicious! Was my first time going there and had Friend zucchini chips… and loved those!! Definitely recommend and will be going back!

Such a wonderful dinner spot with the family. The atmosphere was wonderful. Our waiter made some really good recommendations. We ordered half chicken bacon BBQ/meat lovers and a full veggie pizza. The flavors were so good, the crust was just right to where you didn’t feel bloated after eating!

Great pizza 🍕, Caprese salad and Cesar salad were very good, calamari was a bit overcooked but flavorful, the chicken bacon ranch and the artichoke pizzas were spot on , good medium crust, our waitress Sarah was very helpful

Restaurant had a great vibe a buzz. Everything we ate was delicious. Bartender was efficient and quick with good conversation. No liquor license here fyi. Just beer and wine. Cheese sticks were on point. I had the meatball sub and it was awesome. Meatballs were amazing pizza was on point and huge. The zucchini app they bring it was delicious. Had a nice bottle of wine and a great evening

Fun neighborhood gem. Very quiet and a great wine list to choose from. The small salad is big enough to share. We didn't see any bears, lol.

We've been to coal vines a lot of times and have always been impressed. Pizza options and wine list are great. The service last night was a little rough. We had to constantly remind the server what we needed and what was missing. Waited around for drinks and plates. It was only half full on a Friday night, so I feel like somethings off.

This was our 4th visit to Coal Vines. I wanted to give it multiple visits to give an accurate fair review. Great location. Warm rich interior that feels cozy and inviting. Like a pizza restaurant should feel. Pizza selection is vibrant and tastes amazing. We love coming here. But the service/staff feels confusing and disorganized. My wife and I watched over the course of an hour as the confusion carried on. Dirty tables sat. Empty water and wine glasses at every occupied table. Our order was messed up three times. It was frustrating, not for me but to see a healthy business lacking the most important piece of success, service. The wait staff was plenty, but they were running around not knowing their role as a “server”. Fill water glasses. Smile! Be friendly. Clear dirty plates. Help each other out. Smile…did I mention that. I noticed one customer walk out because her drink was sitting at the bar for several minutes. This was a Friday night and the beautiful patio was nearly empty. The table next to us had a “reserved” sign on it, but over the course of 90 minutes it was empty; revenue lost. This restaurant should be fully loaded on a Friday. People should be waiting to eat but instead they have to seat themselves. Very disappointed. And don’t get me started on the $12 beers and $18 margarita! We will be back, but if the owner is open to honest feedback I’d love to talk.

We visited this past Saturday, and it was a letdown compared to what this place used to be. We hadn’t been back since the previous owner sold the restaurant, and the change in quality and organization is glaring. The biggest issue was the single-page wine and beer menu. It is completely out of date and seemingly useless. I was really looking forward to a Dallas Blonde or a bottle of Dark Harvest Cabernet, but we were told they had neither. In total, we tried to order three different wines, and each time the server had to come back to the table to tell us they no longer carried them or were out of stock. It’s frustrating for a guest to spend time picking out a drink only to be told repeatedly that it isn't available. It also puts the servers in a terrible position, as they are the ones who have to keep apologizing for the new owner's failure to maintain a basic, accurate menu. The staff is doing their best, but the lack of attention to detail from the current ownership is disappointing. We really wanted to love this place again, but until they can actually provide what’s listed on their own menu, it’s a frustrating experience.

Came with a group of friends last night to celebrate 2 of our friends birthdays and the food was great! Jennifer was our server and even brought us a slice of stawberry cake to celebrate! It was amazing! Towards the end of the night though it was kind of a damper. Instead of enjoying the rest of the night, we got to hear loud and very obviously drunk women from the bar talking very inappropriately about their intimate life to say the least. My friend is a regular here but if it were up to me i would not come back to this establishment where the bartender does not know when to cut someone off. Lost someone very close to me due to something similar and dont wish to spend money where the staff isnt more careful.

Once loved for it’s atmosphere and delicious pizza, Coal Vines restaurant served most likely the worse pizza in Southlake today. I know, I know this sounds like a terrible review… but hear me out. Although the staff was friendly and nice, the restaurant was absolutely dirty. The hallways, tables, restrooms and what we could see from the hallway… kitchen. The goat cheese marinara was a soup of marinara with very little goat cheese. The pizza was so mushy and soft, felt like a brick going down our stomach. I truly used to absolutely love this place. I do not know what happened but I do know that is owner operated and I hope they see this review and perhaps check on what went on yesterday. It was a slow early evening yesterday and we thought …interesting the food taste like it was made ahead of time… by a lot of time. It wasn’t until about 2 hours after that we all started to feel sick and queazy from the meal.i contemplated a lot about reviewing in such a manner. I am not saying we will never go back but the food was barely consumable and it was truly a sad moment as we know that sometimes is hard to keep things and quality in the long run when some staff is not up to par. Something definitely needs to change.
