Angels is one our go-to Sunday Funday places to go. Fun and friendly staff (Brian and everyone else), great food, and awesome atmosphere. Get your game on with all of the TV's showing whatever sport your wanting.

We’ve lived next to Angel’s for about 12 years and couldn’t ask for a better place. The food is consistent, the waitstaff is amazing, and the atmosphere is great! I love the wings and burgers, but on colder days, the chili is the bomb! Their beer selection is dreamy and we also love their Meltdowns (a special Rita with a floater on top). I’d say we go to Angel’s about twice a month. Live music in the evenings and also a good place for a quick casual lunch.

We've been going to Angel's for years, and the food is always delicious. Portion size is beyond generous. We both got the chicken fried steak sandwiches. We could have shared one they were so big!! Our waitress was awesome, her name was El and she was so warm and friendly. It made our day! If you've never been to Angel's, you're missing out!! Yum!!!!

There's always a mixed feeling when you see an Icehouse is you're only option for dining. Fortunately Angel's Icehouse puts those fears to bed very quickly. The layout of both the bar and outside seating is very inviting. The staff is top notch (thanks Heather for taking great care of my fiance and I even when you had a walk-in 20 top to deal with while we were there!). The food and drink options are amazing. Their pizzas and burgers are top notch and I look forward to trying more offerings in the future. Also, when you hear Icehouse you don't usually think craft cocktails and a wide variety of beer selection but oh boy did Angel's deliver. Definitely drop in if you find yourself in the area looking for somewhere to grab food/drinks.

We came out to view the solar eclipse this week and had an excellent time sharing the experience with everyone at Angels Icehouse. It wasn't too crowded but the atmosphere was lively and fun, there was live music to keep us entertained in the hours leading up to the eclipse and our server Nate took great care of us, making suggestions and getting into the spirit of the day with everyone he helped. We had the steak salad and BLT with the fried pickles and jalapenos and we really enjoyed it all, and the frozen lemonade was really stand out for me. I hope we'll make the trip from Austin again sometime since it's not too far to enjoy this place again.

Love the outdoor seating and eating options with plenty of places for the kiddos to play! Went on a Friday early evening and caught happy hour specials that were delivered super fast. The server was super friendly and she was great with all of the tables around us. The band was about to set up when we left. I wish we could have stayed but kiddos were tired and we were all full.

I just love Angel's. We've been going out there for over two years now. Its quite a drive for us but so worth it. The atmosphere is my favorite part. Whether you sit outdoors among the trees and lights or inside with sports on the TV and a garage feel, its just a wonderful mix of funky coolness. They have live music some nights and corn hole boards so its a great place to chill and have a few beers. The food is phenomenal. Chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans is my go-to but we've tried about everything.

Glad we found this while traveling through hill country area. Ordered the queso small. "Wow that's a small" was my reaction when I thought we got a large instead. Wife ordered chicken strips and they were excellent. I swear she had 6 pieces or more on her tray. My fries and bosephus burger was Excellent. Seasoning on the fries was spot on. All portions were large and excellent. Definitely coming back if I'm ever back in this part of town.

One of the best places in Austin for families with small kids. They have a playground with shaded cover and all these plastic building blocks. They are dog friendly. They have a full bar, live music etc. The burgers are unbeatable. The only thing I would change would be for them to build another location up north!

This place is amazing! Everything about it is spectacular. The food is much better than what I normally expect out of an "Ice House." The atmosphere is great: good music, lots of big live oaks provide ample shade outside, and tons of room for you and your dog. They even have menu items for pups! I am so happy to live relatively close to this fine establishment because I'm able to go regularly. It's totally worth the drive if you are considering it, though!

The outdoor venue was so much fun on a sunny beautiful day. The shade was cooling. The service from MIA was amazing. Now the food... The chicken fried chicken was the BEST I've ever had anywhere. My wife loved the buffalo wings. Normally we talk during meals, nope, we were so busy tearing into our plates. Don't get me started on the cocktails, just as good.

Stopped in for a burger and a beer, and I was not disappointed. I was suspect at first because of the loud band playing in the bar that was very busy, so we sat outside and where entertained by (I'm guessing) local country/rock band and I thought our service would suffer but it did not! Our server Amber was spot on with greeting us right away getting us water and beer, and I was able to order a Blue Cheese burger that hit the spot! I like this place. I haven't been in the Austin area in 20 years, and it was fun to land at such a cool happening restaurant bar out in the countryside.

Kind of didn’t want to review this because it’s like our hidden secret. Unpretentious but fun vibe. The food has always been fantastic, the staff is super friendly and welcoming and we love that we can watch our little ones play right next to the playground. They have frozen adult beverages which are made in house and very yummy! Fun atmosphere with awesome evening lighting, shade and trees over the play structure and somewhere we feel welcome to return to!

Joe was one of the best servers we had in a dang hot while! We can in Saturday Oct 4th at noon and sat ourselves down with no wait. Joe came by quickly explained the tasty frozen drinks and got out order in. He was freaking funny and out table loved him! The food came out fast and all 4 of us were happy. What an amazing night at Angels Icehouse. Our waitress, Heather was top notch. On it from the time we sat down to the time we left. She was personable, continuously checked in, and made the entire experience worth the trip and worth the time. Bonus…the Rams beat the Panthers. There’s always something fun happening here, too. We recently got to attend their Halloween Bingo Night, and we had an absolute blast! Between the laughter, great prizes, and awesome atmosphere, it’s clear this place knows how to bring the community together. Every time we come in, we’re greeted by the kindest servers the kind that actually remember you and take time to chat. There’s one server we always make sure to say hi to, even when he’s not serving our table, because he’s just that great! And a huge shoutout to the super cool chick who worked Saturday she handled our table of six like a pro and was so sweet with my friend’s kid. He was giving her a hard time (as kids do 😂) and she joked right back every time, leaving the whole table laughing. That kind of service and energy keeps us coming back! Now let’s talk about the food, because wow. The chicken fried steak is dangerously good. Like once you try it, you’re basically ruined for everything else on the menu. The salsa has that perfect kick of spice, just how I like it, and the fried mac and cheese is such a hit with the kids (and honestly the adults too). Everything always comes out fresh, hot, and delicious. And can we talk about that playscape!? Total game changer. It’s such a fun setup that keeps the kids entertained while the adults can actually relax and enjoy their meal. Between the great food, fun events, and the friendly, easygoing staff this place is an absolute gem.! In A Nutshell: -Angel's Icehouse is a such a cool vibe. -As an out-of-towner, I was loving the rich Texas atmosphere here. -I like how big the place is w/ lot's of parking. -There are plenty of places to sit, but always expect a good size crowd. -I went on a Friday & a Saturday, I would recommend going on a Friday since most people stayed late vs. Saturday where people left a bit earlier & the place felt empty. -There is live music, delicious food (order deep fried pickles & jalapenos!) & cold draft beer in pitchers for a fair price. -The service is top notch, just ask the lovely hostesses for a table & they will check & walk you over to it. Overall, if I lived in the area, I would go to this place often.

Lively restaurant and bar with many tables inside, under a covered patio, and out under the trees. They also have a large bar with stools around it, starring up at a perimeter of TVs. This hilltop establishment hosts many specials and events through the week. They have many beers on tap, cocktails, and a dozen frozen drinks. Their burgers and pizzas are the food highlight but they have a surprisingly extensive menu. I enjoyed the chili burger with sweet potatoe fries. They have two large free parking lots next to the restaurant.

Fun! Such a great place if you have dogs. Dog water bowls outside. Great cool misters. It was late afternoon and 97 degrees and seriously not bad at all out. Tons of trees and shade. Games and and an area for kiddos. Bathrooms were stellar! I so appreciate that. The manganero wings were fabulous, as were the fried pickles and jalapeno slices. You gotta try the jalapeno ranch dip. The wait staff were so, so friendly and attentive. Overall it was a great experience!

Been there back to back weekends because it's an absolute BLAST. The service is fantastic. First server was Cooper -- funny, witty, and attentive. I didn't catch our waitresses name last night but she was also very attentive and had light fun even throughout a very busy night (back2school bash). Last weekend I had the grilled pork chop and it was SO GOOD. Meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Mash potatoes were creamy and flavorful. One dessert I would NOT sleep on (especially during warmer months) is their lemon ice box pie! Cold, refreshing, sweet and tart -- it's the PERFECT way to end the meal!

I love coming here to chill. My burger was spot on good. But my fries were less than usual and a little over done. Everything else was great. Amazing chill atmosphere. Ton of TV monitors. But the only change I like to see is the chairs at the tables inside suck. They're too low and uncomfortable. My legs fell asleep. And I felt like a little kid at the dinner table. Table way up here but my chair puts me way down there. Hated them. If you are going to remodel get good chairs. Or cut two inches off the table legs. 👍

Angels is a fun family friendly spot with good food. We had great service from Alicia and I think our server was named Jenny on the next visit. I forgot her name, but they were both super attentive and great! The ambiance is lively and fun. There’s always people there and usually kids playing. We tried the chicken fried steak once which could’ve been better, it seemed like the fryer oil needed to be changed because the breading was very dark and not only crispy but almost crumbly when you bit into it. The wings and Caesar salad are really good. Do yourself a favor and try the espresso martini!!

Visited Angels Icehouse off 71 and loved the decor, especially the beautiful Lake Travis painting. The vibe is perfect for families, and the staff was friendly. Happy hour was a great deal—I tried the chicken-fried steak, burger, and tostada. All were solid tasty dishes and reasonably priced, but nothing was outstanding. My only small gripe was the sweetness on the fries, which isn't to my taste. Overall, a great experience, and I’d definitely return!

The audio from the television didn't correspond to any of the screens that were available in the back section. The tables in the back section were a little rickety in need of some fasteners. The outdoor heaters made it cozy. The plates were unique, like mini pizza pans. Food was good.

Great outside beer garden, and tables plus communal type seating inside. Have not been there for a band night, so can't tell about the atmosphere then. Somewhat like the old Waterloo Icehouses, but more rustic.

Purely paying for atmosphere because the food is overpriced bar food. Used to love this place but hadn't been in a while. Decided to do a quick lunch with my kid. For an appetizer, salad and kids meal my tab was over $50 including tip... i had a soda and my daughter had a water. I was aware of the upcharge for a "fruit cup" for the kids meal and was brought out canned mandarin oranges thrown in a bowl, definitely was not worth the $2.50 upcharge... disappointing.

Quite lively and crowded at 6:30p on a Friday. There was also live music. They had really good selection of beer and wine though they were a bit pricey. The chili queso was yummy. The CFC strips were overcooked and so was the CFC sandwich. The onion rings were downright inedible, too much batter. The fries were served cold as well.

I generally like Angel's. The food is generally good, and they have a great selection of beers and drinks. The atmosphere is noisy and crowded on the weekends, but that's to be expected with a popular location. Angel's, like so many other restaurants these days, uses handheld devices for checkout, which make it difficult to review the bill. Unless the total seems way out of line, I don't question it. I didn't find the overcharge until I reviewed the emailed receipt at home. I doubt the server did it on purpose, but I can't be sure, and the experience makes me wary of trusting them in the future. If we return, I certainly will be asking for a paper receipt so I can review the charges before we leave.

The chicken cauliflower pizza had no cauliflower anywhere, minute pieces of chicken (?) and the added steak was a ridiculous sprinkle of minced meat (what?). Just awful food! Last time I was inside, the service was worse than the food. Too bad, as I'm a customer of 20 years that moved across the way and I'd order all the time. The hamburgers were edible but not enough to justify the exorbitant prices, I'd rather have the smashed burgers from J5. Sorry guys you won't be keeping us as customers! The game in question was playing on CBS, and there were two games available. A waitress kindly tried to help but put on the wrong one, and when I asked the bartender if it could be changed, the interaction felt dismissive — he made a brief attempt, seemed uninterested, and told me you’re not a sports bar. That experience stayed with me, not because I didn’t get my way, but because of how it was handled. That said, that visit was quite a while ago. I haven’t been back to dine in since, but because my staff enjoys pizza and your hamburgers, we’ve ordered delivery a few times recently. Unfortunately, the most recent order was genuinely disappointing. The pizza we received Friday was poorly executed — sparse toppings and overall quality far below what I’d expect, especially at the price point. The steak was an add on option, there was no steak on the pizza. I understand your clarification about the cauliflower crust, and I appreciate it. Regardless, the end result didn’t taste or feel like a good value. It’s frustrating because I want to like this place. I was a customer for nearly 20 years, moved my business across the way, and would have loved to keep ordering regularly. It feels unnecessary for things to have gone this direction. $5 slider happy hour plate was more like quarters. Watery queso as well. But hey they serve beer and booze and have a playground! Wait staff are young and goofy not really interested in being there. Guess we will wait another year and try it again....

Place looks great but the food was absolutely terrible. Got a bleu cheese burger and bleu cheese was the only thing I could taste. Fries were stale. My coworker got a philly cheese steak and said it was so salty he couldn’t finish it. On top of this our bill was $60. If you’re in this area there are food trucks literally down the street serving gourmet-level Mexican cuisine at half the price.

Everything about this place is horrible, the two sisters who manage it are rude and not respectful to the staff members. i watched both if them scold a highschool employee about forgetting a water with a tray full fo drinks. ive heard many more stories but id stear clear.
