This place was an awesome experience...the food was awesome....the portions were gargantuan....the ambiance was relaxed and friendly....our waitress was Erika and she was fantastic....we will be back again! If you are traveling through Amarillo.....get off the main drag and visit this place...like them on Facebook and just go!....but make sure you have reservations in advance....its two miles off the pavement and we'll worth it! Charles, thanks for everything...wish we had more time to chat but you're a busy man!

Found this place on our way back from a long camping trip in New Mexico. Called them that morning and were lucky enough to snatch up the last table for the night. 1) make sure to follow directions on the website. The spot does show up on Google Maps, but using the GPS may take you to the wrong spot. Use the directions (coming in from 152 and turning south on their driveway) 2) cash or check only. Come prepared. 3) if you enjoy wine with your steak- bring it with you. The atmosphere and the food are definitely pairing well with a good red 4) the food- the steak is cooked to PERFECTION. The baked potatoe is huge. You also get a sausage and dessert. If you let them know when making the reservation, you might be able to get ribs or salmon or pork as well (maybe also shrimp, can't remember now). Do yourself a favor, get the steak, and come hungry. This place really does have a cozy feel that is authentic and does not feel like it's trying to be something it isn't. The smell of a wood burning grill greets you as you walk in, the steaks come out perfect, not a second too long or not enough on the grill. The owner and everyone else are pleasant and will lake your evening memorable. This place is worth the drive! 5/5 and will definitely look to come back.

Booked reservations about 6 months ahead of my visit so by the time we finally got here it had a lot of living up to do and thankfully IT DID!!! I found the restaurant very easy to find thanks to the good information on the webpage. Walked in to a warm greeting and the incredible smell of steaks on the grill. 😀 This steak dinner was incredible! Server was very prompt and friendly. He asked what dressing we wanted on our salads and then what temperature we wanted our steaks. After that everything flowed to our table in perfect precision. If I ever get a chance I will ABSOLUTELY return!!!

I travelled from Dallas, TX and it was definitely worth the drive. I went in knowing it would be a small challenge to find the steakhouse, so I didn’t mind the dirt roads. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and didn’t need to ask for a refill on my tea or coffee. The salad, steak and dessert were amazing. I definitely recommend to bring your appetite. I’m not sure if they have a traditional POS. I know I got no cell service while I was out there. Be prepared to bring cash just in case. 5 star food & 5 star service!

We called on Friday and managed to get in due to a cancellation. The road was super muddy and slick but with AWD we made it easily. And it was so worth it!! The food is amazing! One of the best steaks both of us have ever had. Portions are large, I have enough left for almost 2 more meals while my husband is nearly sick from trying to finish his😂! The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is homey and inviting. We will be back 💯!

My family and I (my husband and 15 year old son and 28 year old differently abled daughter) had heard about this place and love eating at places we've never been. You park wherever there's room and walk into this restaurant that gives you the feel of the old cowboy Era and very peaceful. We were seated and asked what we would like for drinks and how we wanted our steaks cooked. A little bit later our plates came out with the best steaks we had ever had with a side salad and baked potato. Oh my goodness the steak was AMAZING!! The food was absolutely delicious! My daughter loves to tell people hi and the waiters and other customers there made her day by responding back with a hi. (It's the little things sometimes. If you know, you know.) We were comfortably stuffed, like nappish stuffed when the waiter brought out dessert. We all ate it and loved it! My daughter is a very picky eater and she did not have a problem with eating this deliciousness. We did however need to take some of hers home because the steak was more than she could eat in one sitting. The steaks were cooked just as each one of us loves. I would recommend this place to anyone. When we we're leaving a big strappin fella came thru and sat down at one of the empty tables that had just cleared out of people that were definitely satisfied and pulled out some cash and was separating the bills. I hate to assume but I believe it was the owner and gentleman that cooked our steaks. My daughter walked up to him and he took the time to visit with her which I'm sure she loved.

1st time here and it was well worth it. The massive ribeye is cooked to your liking. From the salad to the baked potato to the hot link to the decadent dessert, it was overwhelmingly good. The owners and staff are old souls who still are very courteous and genuine. They have created a real jewel in the middle of nowhere. Book a reservation and try it. You won't be disappointed nor will you go away hungry. Cant wait to go back.

For first-timers, understand that it is very casual (jeans or shorts are fine) and that you get there on a 2-mile good dirt road. Also, rib steak is the only thing on the menu unless you order one of their other options when you make your reservation.

This is truly a hidden gem. The dinning experience is so unique and must be seen first hand. The food is fabulous, the atmosphere is adorable, and the prices are great. If you call, they'll give you all the information you need. The only thing I'd recommend is a vehicle with a little bit of ground clearance in case the road is rutted. If it rained/snowed earlier in the week I'd recommend a 4x4 or AWD vehicle just in case.

Wonderful decor and personal. Great value, but the meat quality wasn’t great. Extremely tough steak, only could hack on it enough to eat about half. My wife’s was the same. Both like chewing leather. Cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. But too tough to eat. 5 star service, decor, salad, desert. 1 star meat quality so I gave this place a 3 overall. Probably won’t go back.
