I typically come often to this location. It’s convenient and every time I have a different experience than the last. Some times a positive experience and others a negative experience. But this time I was happy they finally brought back SPASAGNA it has been one of my favorite dishes of all times. They did change up sauces I can’t remember it being a white sauce I always thought it was red. My favorite dish outside from that is the croissants they bring out. I always order something new bc the SPASAGNA was not on the menu in the past. Sad that it’s a limited dish not sure how much longer it will be on the menu. Aside from the food, we were seated over by the bar side. Which from previous restaurants it should be the quickest service. But it was the slowest. It took a long time to get our drinks and appetizers we almost left and only paid for the drinks. Our server was also the bar tender and I felt bad for him. We weren’t really told why the service was slow. Most places if the food will take some time for it to arrive the server will let you know. Not here we were unaware there was a delay in service. It took a while for us to get water and then the server had to be reminded no fault on him I know from watching him. This guy was running everything in that area.

I ordered the ribeye this time, and it truly blew me away. I’m not sure if they’ve changed the cooking method or upgraded the cut, but it was noticeably different from before. In the past, I sometimes found it a bit dry or tough—but not this time. Even though I asked for it medium-well, it was still incredibly tender and juicy. A fantastic surprise, and definitely one of the best ribeyes I’ve had here! I really hope they can keep up this level of quality going forward.

This location was cool and the atmosphere was great. We did a birthday celebration here and Clarissa was great but didn’t mention there was a charge for mushrooms/grilled onion. But she offered it. That’s my only complaint. I must say the food was hot when arriving at the table for everyone.

Well, while the service was great and the manager was very nice and helpful with my order, the Monte Cristo was not cooked the usual way. It wasn't as fluffy or big as I usually get it. 😞 It still tasted decent but definitely wasn't as full as normal. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Not pleased with my experience. When I arrived, the host was away from the stand for a couple of minutes. Once seated, the menu was placed on the opposite side of the table. I asked the host for plasticware, but she walked off and never returned. The waiter didn’t come to the table for about nine minutes and offered no introduction. I didn't receive any refills nor did the waiter check in periodically. I ordered a steak cooked medium; it arrived well done after about a 15 minute wait. The steak was very dry, though it was nicely seasoned. The broccoli and broccoli cheese casserole were both good. I mention the wait times because I was on my lunch break, and the restaurant was not busy. Given the slow service, I would have ordered takeout instead. This was my first and last time dining in, though I might consider ordering to go.

Cheddar's serves basic food by with well-trained waiters, but it probably won't wow you. It's clean and the kitchen seems to run well. It's fine for a family meal if you're not watching caloric intake.

Service was good. Cam was our server. But the food was subpar. The salads, appetizers and entrées all came out within 10 minutes of each other. No time to eat the appetizer. Both pasta, dishes were bland and the sauce was watery.

It's hit and miss. It used to be a place to eat once a week... Now it's only once in a blue moon. One of the main reasons are the waiters. You get a table then they just forget about you. Last night for example (12/14/2025) we got a table and waited and waited for our waiter. We set a timer to leave and in the last 30 seconds a different waitress show up to take our orders. Good food though!

The food was fine, but nothing special. We had the shrimp pasta and the ribs with fried chicken — both looked good and the portions were generous, but the flavors were pretty standard, similar to what you can get at many other places. Service was okay, nothing to complain about, but nothing that stood out either. Overall, a decent spot, just not particularly memorable.

Food was pretty bland. It looks and smells great, but there wasn't much flavor on anything. Had to add salt and pepper to everything. It was a Monday night so not too busy, but that also means not as many staff. The bartender was also our waiter. He was a great waiter, but obviously stretched thin dealing with multiple tables, and multiple people at the bar. They did have someone else checking on guests, but that felt kinda awkward because I wasn't sure I should be asking them for refills or getting food off the menu. Wouldn't recommend Cheddar's unless you have picky eaters who need standard non-offensive food options.

So the waiter was great, location great. The only issue I had is I found hair in my food TWICE. A small speck on my chicken fried steak (I cut off the piece and discarded it because I didn’t want to be dramatic especially since I ate half of it at that point). Then this how I knew it was someone in the kitchen. I ordered crescents to go, they came in a small container, never opened the container until I made it home, and behold another black colored piece of hair, about a cm long sitting on my crescent. I suggest if you go here check your food thoroughly, including the dishes, the cups still had residue.

My friends and I ate at Cheddar's in Sugar Land. We haven't been there for several months. The level of service and quality of food have significantly deteriorated. The waiter wrote down the incorrect order. The baked potato was burnt for everyone at the table that ordered the baked potato. When the waiter told us that we could pay using the terminals at the table, the terminals didn't work and we ended up waiting over 20 minutes before the issue was rectified. Overall we had a poor dining experience. I wouldn't recommend.

I visit regularly due to the friendly staff and great food at reasonable prices. On my visit on 05/25/25 at 7 PM I visited with my brother who is a retired US Air Force Veteran the day before Memorial Day, coming from a military family. We were pleased with the wide array of menu options and welcoming environment. The food didn’t taste good, though. My Monte Cristo was overcooked, as shown in the attachment, and my brother's Fried Chicken was dry and fried past golden brown.

Came here this past weekend and was extremely disappointed. The service was not good, and the food was even worse. This was supposed to be a medium rare steak (and it’s obviously EXTREMELY rare) and not only was it barely cooked, but more than half of the 6oz steak was pure tendon/fat. I usually I would send something this bad back to the kitchen but due to our server not being very attentive, we decided to just bite our tongues and get out of there as fast as possible. After coming here around 1-2 times a month for a while now, I definitely won’t be coming back to this location, we’ll happily make the drive out to Katy if it means avoiding situations like this.

Then, a group the same size as ours walked in and got seated immediately. That was the breaking point. Minutes earlier we were told our table was “almost ready” and they were just waiting on a server — yet somehow, a brand-new group walked right past us and straight to a table and we were told that she now had to wait on another table to get up. It was hard not to feel like we were being treated differently because of our race. The excuses we were given made no sense, and the complete disregard for us was infuriating. To make matters worse, when we asked for the manager, the hostess pretended to go get him but just stood at the edge of the kitchen and never brought him out. She should definitely be spoken to by management. This place showed zero respect, zero accountability, and zero customer service. We left angry, insulted, and determined never to return.
