The best fish ever! We drove from Florida to Sugarland and this was next door to our hotel. My mom had the Alabama catfish and said it was the best ever. I had the blackened rainbow trout. My first time having trout but it was sooo good. The servers were very nice. The hurricane cocktail was great. Fish City made leaving Sugarland even harder than it already was.

Wonderful casual dining for seafood in the town center of Sugar Land. We come here many times. Their fish dishes are the best. Also, love their Cobb salad with shrimp or salmon which is always fresh and tasty.

Omg I was craving fish and chips and found this place that's like 40min away but now that I see it!!! It's all worth it. From the start, customer service is amazing! I felt it being genuine, as soon as we entered the restaurant. The ladies serving tables were so sweet, nice and welcoming!!! The first timer sampler of fried oysters nachos and the soups, was amazing!!! It gave us the opportunity to try all soups and the famous oyster nachos!! And we were need up ordering more of those appetizers and went for the creamy bisque and clam chowder soup!!! Both were savory, creamy and on point!! Delicious When our food was brought to table, omg the eyes were eating first!!! Food looked fresh and smelled fresh!! We ordered the fish and chips, honey chipotle shrimp tacos, crab bisque cream, clam chowder, and let me start by saying when you come in restaurant "it doesn't smell fishy!" That's a big plus for me!!! Because fishy is not good... The haddock fish is so creamy, soft and just cooked to perfection!! The beer batter is not too thick, it has that perfect crunch where it's not too much batter!! The big chunks of fried fish are big so you will definitely have leftover!! Yay!!! The honey chipotle tacos were amazing!! Just enough spice and very savory! Cooked to perfection!! The sauce was amazing!! And the carrots added that crunch that made the taco a great choice! The drinks were so good!!! Refreshing!!! Try the dragon Paloma but don't get tipsy because I did!! Eat before you drink hahahha ohh and the perfect patron margarita was also amazing Flavor, service, ambiance!!! Awesome They are doing everything great!!! One of our favorite spots!!! You been added to my list!!!

Fish City Grill is hands down one of our favorite spots for a family night out or a cozy date night. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel welcomed with their warm smiles and attentive service. The food? Absolutely amazing. The chargrilled oysters are smoky and cheesy perfection, and the special Mermaid Oysters are a unique and delightful treat that you can only find at Fish City Grill. My personal favorite has to be the crab-stuffed shrimp—perfectly seasoned and absolutely bursting with flavor. My husband can’t get enough of the crab legs, fresh and cooked just right. Their drink menu is just as impressive. The wine pairs beautifully with the oysters, and if you’re in the mood for a cocktail, the Whale Hello There is a must-try! The refreshing blend of grey whale gin, cucumber, lemon, yuzu, lime and mint is just what you need to kick off a great date night! Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking for a great spot with amazing service and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend Fish City Grill!

Outstanding food, efficient and friendly service. Shout out to excellent staff. All food items came out quickly and were delicious. Redesign really suits the place well. A consistent crowd favorite for us! Don't miss if you're a seafood fan.

I've been here several times & enjoyed it every time. It's one of the few places I go to these days which stays consistent. Staff is very warm & friendly. If not busy you are typically given choice of where you'd like to sit. They also have outside seating if weather permits. Servers are prompt, courteous & happy to run the menu if any questions. I've had several different dishes & all of them have tasted great. Some favorites are chargrilled oysters, scallops & crab bisque. There are several drink options that won't disappoint. Desserts are well done too. My favorite is the cobbler, when it's available. Pricing is appropriate for what you are getting. In my opinion, this is a gem of a place. It's not common to visit a restaurant who excels in service, experience & quality of food. Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a great seafood spot.

#kidfriendly We visited this for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! Their hospitality was excellent! The staff brought us samplers of their soups as this was our first time there. They were so thoughtful that they even brought samplers for the kids too! Their kids menu has lots of options and my kids loved the food. Their fried calamari was a super hit with my kids too. I took the fish taco and it had a nice twist in the flavor. I loved the ambience and my kids also enjoyed the place. Will certainly go back again!

Fish City Grill – Sugar Land Town Square Review I had a bit of whiplash with Fish City Grill this past week. I first visited on a Monday with a coworker friend and had amazing service—so good that it made me want to come back again before the week was over. We sat near the bar, and the bartender was excellent. He gave us small samples of the soups and even a single chip with their famous oyster nacho topping so we could try it out. He was informative, friendly, and thoughtful. At the end of our meal, he even gave us our drinks in to-go cups. It’s those little things that really make an impression and make you want to return—and speak highly of a place. So, I did return that Friday, this time with my husband and son. Unfortunately, we didn’t sit in the bartender’s section. That’s when I realized the amazing service we had wasn’t standard—it was his standard. The experience was totally different. The waitress got my drink wrong and seemed annoyed that I didn’t just accept what she brought. My son’s appetizer had to be sent back, and when I asked about it, she told me I needed to “order it the right way to get it the right way.” I didn’t realize that what we had Monday was, in her words, “off the menu”—cue the eye roll. When my husband realized he forgot his card, she offered to write down his card number, expiration date, and security code on paper. Seriously?And I wasn’t thrilled watching her walk around the restaurant with my debit card. No to-go drink this time. If Friday had been our first visit, we wouldn’t have come back. The only reason I know this place has potential is because of that stellar Monday service. Huge shoutout to the bartender—he’s the reason I’ll maybe give it another shot.

First time at Fish City Grill at Sugar Land Town Square. The place is amazing as I was here meeting a friend for dinner. I ordered gumbo. It was delicious. I think my friend got a calamari. I sampled a piece and it was good too. The parking was a little tricky. I parked in the garage. There were some numbers at the stalls. Not sure if my car would get towed. I had to hurry up and finished eating. I wish there was some information about he parking at the restaurant.

I visited here with a work colleague. We thought it to be a good option due to the variety on the menu. We were seated immediately. As we were walking in, my OCD radar went off. I noticed how they did not take time to sweep the floors after people have eaten, especially under the booths. The food and service were decent, but it made it hard to enjoy when you don't sense that the restaurant is as clean as it should be. I'm on the fence about visiting again.

First timer... Based on the reviews my expectations were fairly high, but I was disappointed. My waiter, Chris, was very nice. I had the Chipotle BBQ salmon tacos with Cuban beans and rice (limited time item suggested by Chris). The ingredients were fresh, but lacked flavor and zero heat. The beans were pretty good - much better seasoning. As an app, I tried the fried pickles...again no seasoning but the pickles were very tart and good. I also tried the Espresso martini with the toasted marshmallow. I've had Espresso martinis from at least 4 other restaurants and this one ranked the lowest. Not a very good flavor. The marshmallow was cute but unnecessary. Overall the pickles and beans were the best part of my $40 meal...🫤....90% chance I won't be back...

Normally don’t leave bad reviews. I’ve always had a good time at this place except for today. Food was good no doubt. Server was attentive but when I ordered some whiskey the server insinuated that I had a drinking problem or that my wife was the reason I was drinking that and it ruined the experience for both of us. Just over stepped a boundary and it felt unprofessional.

I was every disappointed in the service today. The restaurant was not crowded (see picture), yet we had to wait to have our order taken and when I asked the bar tender to turn one TV to the U of H game (a local team), she appeared too busy, and never did it (there were only two patrons at the bar). This is not the service I'm accustomed to here, so I hope it doesn't become a pattern.
