Today I visited the ADDA with my family. The Telugu food is very good and tasty. Vegitable Pulav is very tasty, also the Irani Chai is excellent 👌.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely a Hidden Gem in Sugar Land! I've been visiting Desi Adda regularly for the past 3 months, and I can confidently say this place serves some of the best South Indian food in town. Every single visit has been a great experience—authentic flavors, generous portions, and consistently high quality. If you're a fan of bold and comforting Indian dishes, this spot is a must-try. Here are some of my favorites: 🍖 Mutton Ghee Roast & Chicken Ghee Roast – Incredibly flavorful, tender, and perfectly spiced. Easily the stars of the menu. 🍽️ A great selection of South Indian breakfast – Soft idlis, crispy vadas, hot mysore bondas, punugulu, and the sambar is outstanding – rich and full of flavor. 🥐 Their egg and chicken puffs are fresh, flaky, and loaded with filling – the perfect snack! 🍛 Plenty of veg biryanis and pulaos, and the Apollo Fish is a personal favorite – crispy outside, tender inside, and packed with taste. ☕ And don’t miss their Irani Chai – strong, creamy, and absolutely satisfying. It's the perfect way to end (or start!) your meal. What really sets Desi Adda apart is the balance of quality and quantity – you get amazing food with generous portions at a great price. I’ve never gotten bored of their menu, and I always leave happy. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Indian flavors. This place deserves way more recognition!

I stopped by for a quick snack break, and my experience was fantastic! From the warm welcome at the door to the helpful and detailed descriptions of their amazing mix of traditional and Asian dishes, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend the palamuru chicken biryani is top on taste and evening snack were so delicious and satisfying that I ended up skipping my main course. I was also able to take home plenty of leftovers!

Tried the Vijayawada chicken biryani and the corn 65 pizza-both dishes were flavorful and satisfying, with generous portions. The restaurant offers limited indoor seating and a small outdoor area, so it’s best for a to-go option. They’re closed on Mondays. Overall, a good spot for tasty food.

Absolutely loved the food here! Every dish was packed with flavour. Vada with sambar was a perfect South Indian touch. The staff were super friendly. Great taste, great portions and even better hospitality. And the best part - the chai was best we have had in Houston. Definitely coming back!!

This, I’m guessing, new restaurant was such an excellent surprise to find in Telfair. On such a busy road with much “competition” amongst food places, this restaurant deserves its flowers. The food was excellent, had great portion sizes, and the price was very reasonable. I got their breakfast items, which I thought might’ve been too small when I saw the pictures, but they came out in such a large size! I was impressed by the flavor and depth to the dishes - the workers/owners were so kind and patient with me with all my questions as well. Big ups to this place, check it out!! You won’t be disappointed.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this Indian restaurant! The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced. One of the highlights for me was the Ghee Roast Chicken Biryani – it was aromatic, flavorful, and easily one of my favorite dishes. The non-veg appetizers were also a delight, cooked to perfection and full of taste. To end the meal, I tried the Chocolate Mousse, which was smooth, indulgent, and the perfect sweet finish. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d recommend for anyone who loves delicious Indian food with great variety and quality.

Absolutely Delightful Dining Experience – Perfect for Families! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and I must say, the food was absolutely awesome! Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. From appetizers to dessert, everything exceeded my expectations. What stood out even more was how family-friendly the place is. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for both kids and adults. The staff were kind, attentive, and made sure everyone felt comfortable. I seriously recommend this restaurant to families, especially those with children. It's a place where you can enjoy great food in a relaxed, enjoyable environment. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had ordered idly and sambhar and the portion size was really good. I got 4 big idlis for $7.99 which is a very good price. I was hungry for lunch and I was not able to finish more than 2 idlis. The sambhar is andhra style and was authentic. I also ordered 1 paneer puff and it tastes good as well. I bought that thinking of food is not enough will add a snack. End up bringing it back to home. The service feels homely and welcoming. The sitting is small only 2 tables but other than that it was good. I am going to try gobhi Manchurian, samosa and may be a few other item.

Manchurian chicken was Excellent!! Samosa chaat and papdi chaat were total disappointments! Not enough yogurt sauce…and didn’t seem super fresh but I know it was fresh made but wouldn’t try again

Not the best of eateries that I have been to. Tea was great, no doubt. Most of the people waiting for their orders were holding a cup of tea. The food was not authentic. Its designed to be a takeout place. They did not have many of the items from their online menu. It was $64 for four people. Food was plentiful as we each had leftovers.

We ate two kinds of biryani - one veg and one non-veg. Both were very good - highly recommended. Our only complaint is that if you're going to eat in the restaurant, they won't give you drinking water - you have to purchase bottled water. The place is very small with just a couple of tables; so it's best to do carry out.

We enjoyed the Idli with spicy Sambhar and Paneer Biryani. Sambhar was not hot when served but the rice was piping hot. Punugulu was also good and fresh. Unfortunately can't say the same for the chicken biryani. The rice was undercooked and chicken pieces was not very edible. Service was little slow..and the seating area is extremely limited and small. But overall ok.

This is not a sit in dining kind of a place. Service is about taking order, getting paid and giving the food box by hand! Honestly, they can do a lot better in terms of food and can turn themselves into a viable joint. They are not differentiating themselves from other "Indian restaurants". this is just like Kiosk in a mall where they get food from somewhere and sell. not a restaurant per se. their snacks are ok to say the most. no specific character to call them out. their chutney, palli chutney? is not good. if they can cater to south indian customers, with authentic taste they can survive. If not, they need a lot of luck to be around. the location is ideal for an indian fast food joint to succeed, if only they listen to customer feedback. There was another Indian joint at the same shop before this that did not last even for an year.

****** EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK **** 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 They don't have quality standards. Got egg puffs and 3 slices of cake (jamun cake, butter scotch and black forest) Egg puffs was definitely few days old....There was no egg white in one, all that there was is hardened like a rock small piece of egg yolk. Not sure how old the cakes were. I got sick last night. Upset stomach and nausea after eating this. My husband and kid got upset stomach also. Definitely they have pest problem I WILL NEVER GO BACK

I bought pachi mirchi mutton biriyani. It was not at all good. I told medium spicy and the spice level was extreme that it was not eatable at all. There is a basic sense when making food. How can someone put this much spice in a dish is something which boggles me! Also there was no flavor. It just felt like eating green chilli and mutton.

1. Ordered chicken 65 biryani and vegetarian keema biryani, - chicken 65 biryani, I felt the meat was old and the biryani wasn’t good or freshly prepared - vegetarian keema Briyani - its was more like cloves biryani and not vegetarian biryani, sooo spicyyyyy, Money wasted. Won’t try it again. This was the third time I tried this place, thinking may I ordered wrong last time but this place doesn’t seem To change my opinion

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in Houston. I ordered punugulu, and they were extremely hard—almost like biting into rocks. I also tried a few other items, but unfortunately, those were just as disappointing. Overall, the food quality was very poor, and I would not recommend this place.

I recently ordered the Pachi Mirchi Biryani for takeout, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The dish was quite bland and lacked the bold, spicy flavors typically associated with biryani. In fact, it tasted more like a simple pulav than a flavorful biryani. The seasoning was minimal, and the overall experience was underwhelming. I appreciate the effort, but I hope the taste and authenticity improve in the future.
