This place is a hidden gem in Sunnyvale. Highly recommend their root beer, served in frosting mug! French dip is delicious! It can be very crowded and popular during lunch time. So prepared for hard time to find a table!

J
Joe Miklovic

A little pricey, but their sandwiches are terrific! Great battered Onion rings, and they have a bunch of tasty micro-brewed Root Beers there, served in a frosty cold mug. A few tables are available inside, along with a could outside--may not be a good place to eat-in with a large group, but good for solos and smaller groups. Definitely worth a visit!

I had their original french dip sandwich. The meat was extremely flavorful, the bread was perfectly toasted, and the au jus was an excellent complement to the sandwich. The horseradish was potent and I highly recommend putting it on your sandwich. I also got the onion rings, but while they were delicious (crispy and sweet), the portion size was a bit smaller than what I would have liked for the price. Service was fast and courteous, although the place was a little small (so you might have to wait to get a seat if it's crowded).

The best prime rib sandwich ever! They have many meat options to choose from, and you can customize toppings (for extra fee). Their sides are also great. The fries and onion rings come hot and crispy. The potato salad and coleslaw are also great, but on the sweeter side. They also have a combo platter where you can try many meats.

T
Tim Hoffman

Insanely good, smoky flavor to tri-tip and brisket and prime rib sandwiches - and although the smokey flavor comes through on each of them, they do have subtle flavor differences. There's a nice, soft bun that melts into the meat. No toppings - just meat and bun and lots of flavor. Onion rings are great. Their house-brand root beer is a real treat! This is the real deal. Worth the extra price for the quality. And to rebut previous lower ratings complaints, If you're looking for lots of average-tasting meat with sauces and toppings to provide the flavor - head to Arby's.

Always delicious. Get the ribeye with horseradish. You will not be disappointed. Their horseradish is the spiciest I've ever had and I have to special order pure grated horseradish radish from another state. Also, the jalapeño cheese fries and root beer on tap can't be beat.

I really loved this place. It's super small in sort of a divvy part of El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, near Auto Row. I was getting my car serviced and needed a quick bite. I went with the Prime Rib French Dip and a Root Beer Float, which they serve house made on tap. It was delicious, but I wish there was a bit more meat. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent French dip sandwich, comes with small portion (plenty) of horseradish and plenty of aus jus.

Great French dip. I had the sirloin which was smoked and absolutely perfect. I'd definitely come back to try all the other meats.

Best roast beef sandwich in this area! Mean French fries and onion rings as well! Incredible service. Highly recommend as a take out place

V

This place ascribes to quality over quantity, which I appreciate. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich and the bread was delicious and the sauce wasn't too heavy (although they gave me a cup of it on the side if one should want to soak their bread in it--it's pretty delicious, I just don't like my sandwiches with too much sauce). Fries were also that perfect balance between soft and firm, and of course their signature root beer was fantastically ice cold.

E

Excellent food, although it can be very busy at lunch and seating is limited. You can order online and pick it up in store, which I would recommend doing for lunch. You can taste the wood fire in the meat, smokey and delicious. Also, their bbq sauce is excellent. I would recommend dipping your fries and onion rings in it. Sides are good as well. I will be coming back next time I am in town!

It might be slow. It might be expensive. But I can't help but keep coming back and I miss this place when I'm not in town. There's online ordering and there's to go and the demand is simply so high that this place just chugs along. It's one team, the same team, every day, doing their damn best. The prime rib dip is one of the best sandwiches in Silicon Valley. Hands down. And amazing brisket too. Keep up the good work.

Edit 9/28/2023: They brought back the prime rib! Glad to see it back, and even though it's $2 more than the top sirloin, I think it's really worth it. The french dip really is so much better in my opinion when you have the fattiness of the prime rib topped with a kick of horseradish. I'll be coming back again soon for more! Really loved this place for the past 5 years for their prime rib french dip and draft root beer, but unfortunately they had to discontinue the prime rib french dip due to inflated prime rib prices. The top sirloin is still okay, but it's really not the same quality. I would actually pay an even higher price than before for prime rib if they still offered it, but the top sirloin isn't worth it for me at the current prices. Until the prime rib returns, I will likely come much less frequently. Hope to be back soon when that happens!

Delicious sandwiches in a relaxed lunch spot. While the seating is a bit limited, the sandwiches are very tasty, the meat is juicy, the horseradish is fresh and spicy. Perfect summer food.

Okay my friend told me about this place and it's pretty damn good. A bit of a sticker shock for how much lunch was, I feel like it's a bit pricey compared to other places similar... But at least it was hella good. I'll be back for that special treat craving... They have really delicious homemade root beer, too. Definitely got a 6 pack to-go.

E

Very standard atmosphere, but far from standard French dips the meat is smoked the prepared beautifully and they even have their own draft root beer. I have driven two and a half hours just for this sandwich.

Hidden gem. Must try. Gives a holiday town vide inside the store.

The food here is amazing. Definitely on the salty side but man is it good. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I usually go the Patty melt but you won't be disappoint with any item on the menu. The regular fries are on point with a nice Cajun style seasoning. If you want something special, get the jalapeno fries. They also come with cheese and mushrooms and are amazing. Oh did I mention you have to try their root beer on tap, it's phenomenal! Yes lunch was over $20 but it's worth it as a special treat! Get here early because the place is small and sometimes they run out of certain items on the menu. I can't recommend this place enough! I love Adamson's French dip!

L

We've been here 2 weeks in a row. Best French dip in the world!!! The meat is very moist, flavorful yet not overly salty. Their au jus is light while tasting so complex and pleasant in your mouth. The bread is a winner - soft, not too thick, spongy enough to soak up the sauce without falling apart. While you're at it, grab a root beer. Bon appetit!

Love this place, this is where I come when I'm in the mood for smoky bbq flavor. Both the top sirloin and prime rib sandwiches are great. The prime rib is a little more tender with more melt in your mouth flavor. I like to spread a little horseradish on each bite to balance out the meatiness. The sandwiches are normal sized, so I always get a side. The oven beans are my favorite, they have a nice rich taste with pieces of bacon inside. Root beer goes perfectly with the sandwiches.

N

Food: The prime rib sandwich is TO DIE FOR. The fries are nicely done, and the onion rings are at least satisfactory. If you've never been here before, start with the top sirloin dip. They also have a large selection of specialty sodas and root beers. Decor: A bit small, but the atmosphere is hearty and happy. The outdoor seating in the front and around back makes a nice place for people unsatisfied with the noise level in the main building. The food comes wrapped in paper, as is tradition. The root beers and sodas are laid out on the counter and beautifully presented in a frosted mug. Watching the meat get sliced makes my mouth water. Service: Slower than fast food, but right for what you get. The hours can be a little funky, which is annoying. I guess I can include price in here: The average is about $10-$15 per person depending on which sides you get and the cut of meat. Servers are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant, as a once long-time local it's one of my favorite treats.

This place is the bomb! So good. We had the Prime Rib dip, house root beer, and onion rings. You walk in and immediately smell the wood-smoke. You know you're in for a treat. I could taste it too from my first bite. We arrived ~3pm Saturday. The place was packed and remained packed. I could just feel we were on to a good thing. We were lucky enough to get a table. With internet/phone order pick up and a drive through, seems the owners knew they had a good thing and planned for it. It's not cheap but it's well worth it...and try the pickle.

S

Amazing sandwiches- good quality meats and homemade bread. We have done dine in and takeout. It’s nice that they have a drive up takeout window. You can see them slicing the meat and baking the bread.

Smoke in heaven, that's a good sandwich! I was thoroughly surprised and delighted to have such a good French Dip from this tiny little shop. It was tender and juicy. Just enough smoke flavor to tingle your senses but not have it overpowering. It is near the top of FD sammys I've ever had! I added the cheese to it which had me worried - white American cheese...??! I'm a Swiss and/or provolone kinda guy. But it was actually really good. Again pleasantly surprised. The fries were also good with a great seasoning, but quite a small proportion. Although upon leaving, I was glad I wasn't packed with all the fried fryness. The au jus was OK. It was nice to have it, but honestly didn't add much, was kinda plain. I gotta say, it was quite an exquisite sandwhich. However since the base model comes in at 17 dollars, I'm wondering how often I'll be back. Feeding one person for 27 bucks seems on par with a sit-down service, not a counter-serve "fast food" style joint with food wrapped in paper. I'd say it's some great food! But, for me, it'll be a craving meal, not a regular stop for the price point.

French dip prime rib sandwich was delicious. As soon as you come near this place you can smell the awesome smoke of wood that I like. This was my first time here at this location and I really enjoyed prime rib sandwich and looking forward on trying something different. Highly recommend this place for those who like barbecue.

I passed by this place so many times on my way back home. I've been reluctant to try this place many times before because how everything is in the $9-$11 range, but today my curiosity got the better of me and i just had to see why things were priced the way they are, and they did not disappoint. While their signature sandwich is their prime rib and its dip, i got the $8.95 bbq pork sandwich with bbq sause. The sandwich is split in half so you can save one for later (or eat both if your really hungry). What gets me the most is how nice they are with the sause, it isnt excessive where its messy (it even contained itself in the wrapper in my bag!) and the pork itself is cooked perfectly, almost to the point where its stealing the show from the sause. Overall, I don't mind coming back here, but its just one of those lunches where you should treat yourself one day, in this case, its Adamsons!

Excellent quality, from the right smoke, quality cuts (Prime Rib), fresh bread cooked in house, onion rings, root beer... Excellent! Watch the hours as they close a little earlier, probably as they get up early to smoke the meats.

Not a lot in Sunnyvale...but I went anyway, because I've heard some nice things about Adamson's French Dip Restaurant. I had the brisket, and it was delicious. The newt was tender and juicy and well flavored. The BBQ sauce didn't overwhelm the flavor of the meat. The bum was a perfect addition to an all around great sandwich. The onion rings were delicious too with just the right amount of crunch and flavor.

So glad Adamson's is a short drive from us. Their beef sandwiches are tender and delicious. They're only open for lunch, but plan to get there early as they often sell out before closing time. You will almost always find there is a line. There root beer is a treat, too.

This is a Bay Area must. The sandwiches are divine. They currently have their BBQ brisket and there aren’t words for how good it is. Also, the house root beer is terrific. Really, try everything. One note, the place is small, so sometimes seating is limited.

Albert Chen

Had a chance to stop by since it’s been on my list of places to try and was in the area! Had to go with the French dip since that’s their main item on the menu. Ordered a combo and got the onion rings that were perfectly fried. While ordering they ask if you’d like their horseradish on the side if you want an extra kick, and if you want ranch or bbq sauce (which are an additional fee and not made in house). The horseradish was a lovely pairing to the dip and the au jus was pleasant and not too salty. Not sure the bread I got was the same as I’ve seen in the other photos from other reviewers but would definitely come back to try their other items!

The entire menu is tasty. I personally prefer The Melt, which oozes comfort in the most satisfying way possible. The draft root beer in the frosted mug is a callback to the fondest of memories of times spent with friends and family. A standout for me is also the horseradish sauce—something not to be missed. But also judiciously used unless you need a sinus cleansing.

Prime Rib French Dip sandwich. Roasted thin and juicy slices of prime rib on buttery bread. It comes with a savory dip, but, it's not needed! Well worth every penny of the close to 15 dollar price per sandwich. Order a in house root beer to wash it down. Order online for quick and fast service. Hand sanitizers available. Plenty of parking.

Marshall Caldwell

Prime Rib french dip is their specialty. Comes with about a 4oz serving of prime rib, but you can add extra meat by the ounce for an extra charge. Adamson’s draft root beer in a chilled mug is a great compliment to your meal. Get there early though, when they run out of meat they close, and they often close early due to this.

L
Larry McGowan

We go there several times a year and always get the prime rib french dip sandwich. The regular sandwich is very good but the prime rib version is amazing and worth the extra cost. As an added benefit they have a good choice of beers! There are only a few tables inside and several more outside. I didn't know what to rate the service since there is only a counter to order and pickup your sandwich. However, the people behind the counter are quick and friendly. I've wasn't a big fan of french dip sandwiches but my wife loved them. Now that we go to Adamson's I've become a fan too.

T
Tash Hepting

The French dips are very good (though a bit light on meat) and I really like that they will give you real horseradish you can put on yourself in whatever dosage you need to clear your sinuses. The onion rings are great, and the root beer is also good (especially draught). The biggest downside (other than it being a bit pricey) is that they run out of tables quickly during lunch. Strongly recommend take-out or skewing your hours.

D
Drootz Drootz

Portion size could be larger for the prices they charge but the quality of the food is great! I wish there was more seating and they recently added some seating in the back of the restaurant which has helped alot. Price for the Onion rings is a bit steep for the serving size as well. I could see myself eating here more often if the prices were slightly lower or if the portion size increased. Overall def. worth trying best french dips in the area for sure!

J
J P

I would give it a 5 star because they have 1 of the best prime rib French dip sandwiches. But the pricing is extremely high for a 6 inch only meat sandwich combo so 4 star it is. It cost almost $50 for 2 combos (2- 6inch sandwiches, 2 small orders of fries and 2 small drinks) expect to also pay $0.50 per small ranch dipping sauces...could also be better if they spread out the meat as the sandwiches have no meat towards the ends giving your last few bites bread only...but I'll be back!

A
Adrienne Tegreeny

5 star food. I just wish the restaurant was a little bigger. Try to time your visit during a slower time so you're not stuck standing around in a crowd waiting for your food and a table. I went on a Monday around 12:30 or 1 and it wasn't bad. I always get the melt. It's delicious and stuffed with meat. We also got a root beer float and it was really good.

Adamson's makes a very tasty French Dip, and I love French Dips, but they are not cheap. The restaurant itself is in a strip mall with some inside and outside seating. It is usually busy, so order ahead if you can. It started as a family operation and the attention to detail in the food and service is positive. My only concern is the value. The sandwich is good but I would not call it a large portion. The side of fries was similarly small. I ordered their house root beer which I love, but it's pricy too. I paid north of $25 for lunch and I enjoyed the meal, but at that price I cannot visit as often as I might like.

Great French dip sandwich and root beer. Great bread, plenty of tender meat. $20 for a sandwich and soda. Would’ve been 5 star but service wasn’t polite; seemed annoyed when I paid in cash and they had to count change back, didn’t say thanks when I left a tip nor when I picked up the food. Very spicy horseradish…watch out!…but very good.

French Dip sandwiches with real au jus! Standard sides like fries, onion rings, coleslaw and potato salad. I saw a pulled pork option also. In the past you had two choices for the French dip-prime rib or sirloin ( I think). The prime rib was more expensive while the sirloin gave the better, beefy flavor. My last visit I did not see the two options, just one...which appears to be prime rib per the menu board. They also have a house version of bottled rootbeer along with fountain drink selection.

Sebastian Knox

Very limited menu, but the French dip is solid if not a little on the expensive side. The meat is smoked so it's a slightly different flavor.

Been meaning to come by here and try the french dip for some time and finally pulled the trigger (Popeyes is always a draw and Lopez used to be until I had an incident with the staff). It's a small stand with a few tables available inside and a couple outside. They had a pull up window too but didn't see a normal drive through style sign so I didn't try since I wasn't sure how that would work. They have a kiosk inside but someone took my order as it was taking the couple ahead of me some time to figure out what they wanted. I saw they had a prime rib dip and ended up going for that. I added onion rings and I'm always a sucker for root beer so went with that as well. There was a combo order available for onion rings and a drink but it doesn't include the root beer so I skipped it. If you're up for a fountain soda though, it can save you a couple bucks. I took my order to go and ended up eating in my car since I had to run. They give a good sized portion of au jus (forgot to snap a photo) and the onion rings came with either ranch or ketchup. They do sell giant pickles for $1.50 each and I skipped it but think I should have gotten it as I needed something to cut the richness. There was an option for grilled onions for $0.50 but not raw onion option available. The meat was nice and thinly sliced with some nice fat in there. The au jus wasn't too salty and the bread was soft and sopped up everything. My only wish for the sandwich was that it was a bit bigger for the price you pay. The onion rings were a tad greasy but still good and crunchy and paired well with the ranch.

Haven't had a French dip sandwich in ages so had one here today. All in all it was fine, never had many so probably was one of the better ones I've had. Very small store though so packs easily, pricing wise they are a bit steep for today's market, I wouldn't frequent them at these prices but would visit occasionally.

Jeff Meyer

I like a French dip sandwich now and then and I had seen a review in the paper, so I gave it a try. I got the original dip with added grilled onions, fries and a drink. Only realized after I got to the fountain that their root beer is only in bottles. The beef was sliced just then and the fries were fresh. A decent sandwich with really good meat and au jus, but the bread wasn’t all that crispy (eg like at Lee’s sandwiches across the street) Really could have used a side salad. But really the only veggie sides are pickles.

Adrienne Cherie Ricker

Would I come back? Yes - but to try something else. The French dip was ~fine~. Good quality, tender meat, but very bland. They have a sign on the wall saying it is high quality corn-fed beef in case that matters to you. The onion rings were good. My friend got the fries and they were good. The bread pudding was good - not THAT flavorful (despite their Jack Daniel’s Bourbon sauce) and more on the gooey side of bread pudding. The homemade root beer was good. All in all, a good place to eat but not very exciting. We saw the employees trim the meat and throw away (!!) the outside layer with all the spices. Isn’t that the best part? Certainly would have made the sandwich less bland. I’d like to try the beef brisket or tri-tip when I come back. I don’t think I’d recommend the French dip just because it was underwhelming. If you do get the French dip, maybe spend the extra 50 cents to add cheese, jalapeños or onion.

I ordered take out ahead of time online and it was ready once I arrived! Service was super fast and the French dip was delicious. Ordered the top sirloin and the melt sandwich- both were super yummy! I think it is slightly pricey since the sandwiches are a tad small but is worth a try!

The food is great. I don't live in the area but I make it a point to come here at often as I can. That being said, there are a few other issues which have nothing to do with the food. First, the only make a certain amount of meat for the day so when they're out that's it. Second, the person who takes my order almost always messes it up. On my most recent visit I got charged for an entire extra sandwich and combo. My advice is to have them repeat back your order, or order online which is an option. Otherwise great place!!

Pretty good French dip sandwich. Service was professional. It was pretty expensive however. I will eat there again just not to often cause a sandwich, cookie and a bottle of orange soda was $27.00! A little steep for lunch as far as I'm concerned.

Gave this place a try after a recommendation from a friend. Bought a prime rib French dip and onion rings. Walking in the door was pleasant aroma of wood smoke, light and not overwhelming. the meat was delicious, the sandwich the right size and the Au jus generous. On the flip side the bread was thin and sweet. not the right texture for absorbing French dip and just an odd choice for this sandwich, sort of like a thin basic hotdog bun. Disappointing. the onion rings were decent but not special. did not try the drinks.

Sadly it is no longer what it once was. Originally they offered a Top Sirloin French Dip and Prime Rib French Dip. Everyone has their preference, but the Top Sirloin!!! If you know you know. They no longer offer the Top Sirloin option and I'm just not a fan of the Prime Rib option. I've been going to this place since their very first day of business. It used to have that "Family Run" vibe where regulars were greater as if they were part of the family. Service with a smile and attention to top quality product was the norm. I can no longer say that is the case. Cheaper lower quality labor has replaced the family element and it shows. The Top Sirloin French Dip set Adamson's aside from every other French Dip you'll ever taste. Now it's gone. The Prime Rib French Dip is still decent, but at that price point and limited store hours I will go elsewhere. Sad, but all good things come to an end. Adamson's use to be an anticipated destination I looked forward to. Now it's just another place on El Camino.

This place is really cute and the food is decent. Not good, not bad, just decent. The sandwiches all taste the same regardless of which type you get. I had the French dip and my husband had the brisket sandwich. They tasted exactly the same only meat thickness was different. The onion rings are ok, but the fries are pretty bomb. I don't know that I would go out of my way to eat there, but if I was in the area I could possibly go back.

The food is delicious, but one of the employees spoils the experience for me. She acts like she hates the world (including you) as she's taking your order, and she acts like you're personally spiting her when you don't hear her call your number the first time (which I've seen happen when the customer was waiting just outside the front door). I come fairly regularly but am always on my guard not to upset her. Everyone else I've interacted with is great, but unfortunately this employee seems to be the one who usually takes my order and calls the numbers. I'll keep coming because of the great food, but it's off-putting to be treated that way when you're paying over $30 for a sandwich, onion rings, and a root beer.

Let me start by saying the sandwiches here are phenomenal. The smoked meat is high quality and very flavorful. The jus and fries are also pretty good too. Giving 3 stars for 2 reasons: They have very odd, limited hours (only open from 10:30 - 2pm??). Also, the portions are much too small for the price range. 20+ bucks for a small sandwich and a small portion of standard fries. Overpriced.

went here for lunch and it was over priced for the food. they specialize in French dip sandwiches but I really wasn't impressed. it was just too expensive and nowhere to sit and they are only for like 4 hours

The meat on the original was so fatty/ grizzle that I had to take it off and just dip the bread. I couldn't stomach the meat. The root beer float was tasty and they were nice.

I was looking forward to going to adamson's French dip in San Jose. The sandwich was okay, but not as good as I thought it was going to be. It's kind of a small sandwich for the price you pay. It's not bad at all, it's just not up to my usual standards for French dip.

Good sandwich but is relatively expensive. Noticed that they weigh the meat for each sandwich and should be conssistent. However sandwich is too small for the price for me. 3 stars mainly for this reason.

Apparently, Adamson's is very popular and known for long lunch lines, but I've only ever ordered online for pickup during these crazy times. What a breeze it is to stroll into an establishment wearing a mask and gloves, give your name, be handed a paper bag with a beefy aroma wafting from it, and enjoy your takeout in the privacy of your home. $13 Prime Rib French Dip - prime rib on a sweet French roll, au jus and hot horseradish, with cheese and sweet onions: The melted cheese sauce wraps around the slices of tender beef and caramelized onions encased in a soft, fluffy French roll. The sandwich is not bad, but I did not care much for the au jus, because of the celery flavor. I'd prefer if I could taste more beef flavor than celery in au jus. Mr. Joy ordered the brisket, which was quite nice.

Its not bad, but it isn't going to blow your mind. Would I eat here again? Maybe but the price is rather high for a sandwich. IMHO I rather pay ten dollars more and just get a prime rib lunch/dinner.

I think I was surprised at the size of the French dip it was kind of small 6 inches you know it was enough and I mean I know we Americans love our Cal the horseradish was good the french fries were great. More disclosure on the size of the sandwich would be nice.

I have been going here for years. After my visit today, this may well be the last time I go. The prime rib French dip still tastes great, but I ordered extra meat and got tons of fat. Disgusting! As for the au jus, it was brown water. It was flavorless.

Soup sandwich. Have you ever heard that term? Well that's exactly what I got when I ordered the Philly Dip. When it came out, the bread was entirely saturated and soggy all the way through. I had to ask for a fork. Furthermore, the guy at the counter was not friendly. When I first walked up, I said I need to browse the menu real quick. He seemed annoyed. Still, I tipped. I added mushrooms and jalapeños for $0.50 each as it stated on the menu board. When I got back to my table the receipt said $1.00 for mushrooms. Oh well, not gonna cry over $0.50. It also stated "no horseradish". Well, I would like horseradish, but no one asked me so I went back up to the counter and said, "I would actually like horseradish. It wasn't mentioned." The same guy rudely said, "It's on the board." OK, neat, but you want tips, right? Plus I just said I had to quickly look at the menu, right? Omg, so sorry I missed it. Anyway, I won't be going back. It wasn't a good experience.

I have really mixed feelings about this place. It is so good...but the pricing just makes it hard to swallow. $17 for a basic prime rib sandwich? You kinda have to add the extra ounce to make it substantial...which puts it up to $19. Then if you want to make it a combo with a fountain drink it's another $5, so we're up to $24 for a combo meal. If you want the fountain root beer, the good stuff in a frosty glass, you're gonna be around $26 all in. That is kinda pricey in my opinion. It's a good sandwich...but is it worth it? I don't know.

Came here for the first and last time today. For $20 I found the amount of meat on my sandwich to be seriously lacking. The little bit of meat that I did get was tasty. The dip was ok. I found the bread to be rather doughy tasting and not complimentary to the meat.

The food is somewhat tasty, but everything else is downhill from there. Big sign on the fountain drinks that say no refills so that's definitely a sign of where the manager is at which is very Petty. The manager that was there that day just has a very unfriendly about the way he does his job. The staff that work beneath him look at incoming clients as an inconvenience because they have to get to work. I had the Philly dip and rings. The Philly dip was tasty but a very small meager amount of meat in the sandwich. Horseradish that came with it had the amount of half a teaspoon. I think I got a total amount of five rings with my order. Half of them were cold and the other two were hot. Bad service, mediocre portions and overpriced. Definitely not going back. My recommendation to whoever reads this try it out for yourself don't take my word for it you might have a different opinion.

We ordered our food and waited 40 minutes. They were too busy fulfilling online orders and didn't bother making our food. After 40 min, they had not even started our order and unapologetically asked us if we still want our food. We got a refund and left.

Wow! this place is $8.81 more expensive than Arby's for exact same meal. I compared both and Arby's is the same. if you sign up for Arby's rewards this place is $12.98 more expensive for same meal including drink, fries, aju, sandwich. One time I came into Adamson and the owner who is rich charges me $25.50 and 5 minutes later says "I'm out of potato salad can I get you something else." What you should say is "I'm terribly sorry we just ran out I have already refunded you and next time your meal is on me since I've seen you in here several times want to say thanks." This guy really does think we owe him his life. Nope. Nope. I'm goin to Arby's from now on. Plus I went here with some people from Idaho and when they saw $25 for a tini tiny french dip they politely said "you go ahead we are not that hungry, we can wait until dinner" because they were shell shocked at seeing a $25 sandwich. It was then I began to see I'm the fool and I have a choice. I'm not on planet earth for this rich owner.

We got two French dips on 06-18-23 and it didn't work out. It was busy, a bit unkept (dirty), a high price point and the sandwich was not good. The bread seemed off the shelf and meat was a bit tasteless and well done dry. But most of all it is small. I am talking like 7" x 4". The clerk messed up our order (knowing that most food service in CA messes up orders). It just was not good enough for the price. We will not be going back. Everything seemed watered down.

I came by today and found out they changed the bread. But the new bread is not a good choice. The taste of the bread at times over powers the taste of the meat. Highly recommend to go back to the old bread. Update: now they stopped serving prime rib and only do top sirloin. I'm sure to save money again. Lost a customer. Never coming back unless they add prime rib back. These owners need to go back to the original stuff and stop making changes to cut costs.

Visit was on 12/10. Regret tipping during payment. Was called up when the food was ready and mentioned I also ordered a root beer. I was told by a lady in an orange uniform that they would bring it out. Was odd considering they called customers up for drinks. I didn't wanna bother them again since they were busy, so when we finished our food and was pretty much ready to leave, I was hoping I could just get a bottle from the fridge since it was the EXACT same price. The older lady told me rudely, "NO, you can't do that," and asked to see where I was sitting, believing I was lying that I didn't get my drink. I ended up getting my drink and stayed longer to finish it, but at that point I just wanted to make it easier and get a bottle so we could leave. Also experienced a couple asking for a refund after waiting over 30 minutes for their order. With the price they're charging for the food, the service should not be this poor.

This place was the best in town. Now I won't even consider eating there again. I was a good customer but after ordering their Prime Rib French dip on three separate occasions and getting meat that was definitely not Prime Rib I had to take them out of the rotation for top places to eat in Sunnyvale.

Wow 2 sandwiches, French fries and onion rings for $63.00?,?? They should have been the best but sadly I didn't think so. Bread is nothing g special.

This place used to rock about 7-10 years ago, today, not so much. They obviously have trimmed down the portion sizes and as many have reported, you’d be lucky to get a quarter pound of meat for $20. I found my “prime” French dip yesterday to be quite salty and cooked beyond belief. Not sure why one can’t get it medium rare or medium. I think the quality has gone way downhill. A “prime” rib dip combo will set you back $32.
