The manager of this establishment should be PROUD of his employees. They were all SMILING, friendly, extremely prompt and helpful. I even thought to myself "why are these employees so happy" because sadly alot of people in the service industry seem to hate their jobs. I can honestly say I've never been disappointed with any of my meals or experiences here. Even with a long line I was out of there with my food in under 5 minutes and never bother checking the food because they always do it perfect! Thank you to all the hard working employees at this store!!

This is our default option for a quick Saturday morning brunch. I love the burritos and the bowls. Their salsa is also pretty good and the staff is always welcoming. The place is kept clean and the food is always good and fresh.

What can I say? I grew up eating this and really enjoy it. There are other Mexican grilled chicken places that are just as good, but El Pollo Loco's chicken will always have a special place in my heart. It's nice that they have more sides than they did when I was growing up, not to mention a broader selection of salsas. If you haven't tried El Pollo Loco, I recommend giving them a try. It's a bit of a step up from standard fast food, and the skin is delicious!

My family and I love El Pollo Loco, I am a customer for 15 years already, and the location on Mary and El Camino is the best on the area. The manager IdK her name is very efficient on her job. I buy food here al least once a week.

I usually don’t post reviews but I am just amazed at the customer service I have received at this Pollo Loco location! Today during my lunch me and some coworkers decided to go in and check out this restaurant as you’re working in the area nearby pulling up to the parking lot it seemed busy so I was expecting a long wait I was surprised that coming into the restaurant it seemed a little peaceful. And I will just say it smelled amazing the food that was being cooked entice me even more to get my order in and try my juicy chicken which is was just that I was able to receive my order in a very timely manner with amazing customer service I cannot say enough of how amazing and overall lovely the manager was she answered all my questions and gave me some suggestions at which I will say I am extremely happy she did because my tostada was the bomb I’m definitely gonna recommend this place to other friends and family I suggest you go check it out too and get yourself some chicken

I want to share my experience at Pollo Loco. I visited today after a long time without going. I was surprised to see that they have renovated the interior with screens to place our orders and the bathrooms have been renovated. I was glad to see that they have both bathrooms open so we wouldn't have to wait because before they only had one bathroom open and it wasn't pleasant to wait. So visit this place, you're going to love it.

I just happened to be around the area and needed to grab a quick bite. Stopped by got in got served and got out in less than 15 minutes. The food was good, staff was courteous, friendly, and efficient. Very good experience. Thanks.

I return here regularly. Recently remodeled, so feels nice new and clean. The addition of ordering kiosks makes my average visit a bit quicker. The food is consistently good, and the value items on the menu are terrific. Staff here always seems to be well customer oriented with great welcoming attitude.

I can't speak to the dine in atmosphere but the food is always hot and satisfying when I order take out. The Double Chicken Torta bowl is my favorite and the cilantro ranch takes it the extra mile. I order drive up so most of the time I don't even have to get out of my car. I've been here multiple times and it hits just right.

I don't know why El Pollo Loco is not as popular as other fast food restaurants. It might be too healthy lol. Joking aside, the food quality is amazing. We enjoy perfectly grilled chicken and thick, creamy mac and cheese. The tortillas are soft and warm. Well, the grilled chicken is juicy and the skin is crispy. That's how the grilled chicken should be. The most surprising thing is that how fast the service is. We order the family 16-piece meal, expecting it to be a while. Once we sit down on a table, the food is ready! This is definitely a place to get good fast food. Same tier as In-n-out!

I love El Pollo Loco! It's one step above "fast food", in my mind. They recently remodeled this location and it's been updated to kiosk ordering, which is hit or miss (for example, if you have an offer to use, you need to ask a worker to help). Luckily someone named Kevin helped me tonight and he was very knowledgeable and patient! Highly recommend using the app because you can get rewards/offers that you can't get just walking in and ordering. Their chicken is always tasty and a good value. I just wish I could get their Wing Lovers meal every time I go - they are often out of wings so you can't order that on the app or kiosk since they need to check availability first.

Every time I'm in California, I always try to hit an El Pollo Loco. Sure, it's a Mexican fast food chain and not close to most family run restaurants, but it's far better than Taco Bell and other Mexican chains IMHO. The difference is that they marinate and grill chicken in store, and don't rely on processed or frozen 'mystery meat' like its competitors often do. Their BBQ chicken, while not cheap, is one of the best I've ever had - flavorful, juicy, and delicious. Most of their other items are also fresh and tasty, and pretty easy on the wallet too. The only complaint is that the restaurant's seating area is often messy and it can be difficult to find a clean table, so I recommend getting your food to go. But if you can get past that, the food is well worth it.

I had pollo loco many times before, this time the taste was not the same but still ok to eat, it could be that when you pick up it gets cold, I would suggest that when you order a chicken combo they should add a choice of salsa instead I forgot to get salsa because it was not an option when you choose your sides.

Great place to eat with family. It's been a tradition in ours to go sundays after church. We havent dont that in years. We did that twice recently within a month and its still a good time. The family meals are worth every penny and packs flavor.

Decent food but the last time I went there, they got my order wrong. I ordered the taquito salad, and it even said it on the receipt, but they made me a taco salad. I was in a hurry so I didn't ask them to remake it.

It's one of my favorite places when it's about time to eat chicken. It's usually crowded but the chicken is really good. Sometimes they don't have the sides I want or the chicken is not enough cooked for my taste (I like it crounchy and more cooked). It looks better then it was one year ago and I think that's because they spend more time cleaning. I would avoid using the Bathroom. Being a user of El Pollo Loco for the last 1,5 years and although I tried some other places in the franchise, at this location the chicken tastes a lot better.

On 12/5/22 between around 1:30pm. My order of Chicken breast has faded pink in meat color. No toastiness to it. The atmosphere was packed but those waiting for orders were just floating around... kind of uncool. The busyness of the restaurant probably caused the chicken breast to be rushed out of grill too soon therefore here leading to this review. *******4 stars***** A few other times i previously came: good food

The cashiers are friends and are pretty fast, this place doesn't get that busy even during peak hours. The food is pretty good, can't really complain about anything there. I will be going back at some point. The food is a little expensive, I would recommend going 1-2 every two weeks at the most.

Great find of the week! I drive by this place countless times, but today was the day for lunch. First of all, the servers here are the nicest, and hardest working staff that I have seen in a long time. From the start, the cashier takes your order with efficiency and kindness, which is rare to do both. Then once your order is taken, the others work quickly to get it up it. I can tell by their communications among each other that they work very well together. Like a beautiful harmony and feels like a family. Since I decided to dine in, I was able to enjoy the festive music and also observe the service with the other customers. It's humming during lunchtime, but they get it done! I ordered the 2 piece chicken, breast and wing, with sides of Mac n cheese and corn. Can I say? The chicken breast was Uh-Mazing! Skin was crispy and seasoned, the meat was juicy...I love a good flame grilled chicken! The Mac n cheese was ok, and corn had some type of sauce, more flavorful than what you get at other fast food corn. As far as fast food choice out there, this is not that unhealthy. Foodie like me, if the food is legit and good, gotta give them props. Oh, and there are coupons for next time you come back! And yes, mamma, I will be coming back and trying the rest of their menu. Next time you drive by and see El Pollo Loco, stop by and show some love. You're welcome.

Decent food at a very low price. I deduct one star because I don’t enjoy homeless bums asking me to give them money every time I go here. If you want to allow panhandlers on your private property, then don’t be surprised when me and other customers stop give you business.

Have not been here in a long time. For fast food this was really good. It was crowded and still very good service and quite helpful. The food was reasonably priced and fresh. And it was clean. I hesitate to give a fast food place 4 stars. But this place did a really good job at a really good price.

It seems this place is getting expensive too. A burrito with drink and small chips costs $8.48. Family dinner chicken pieces had a couple of burned ones. Tostada was great and so was the burrito, however of which it was too small for the price. Service was friendly and fast.

I really like the food here, but sometimes the food ends up being more costly than I expect because some of my family will eat only breasts. I have to buy larger family meals to get enough breasts. Even a tiny wing counts as a piece even though nobody can make a meal of one.

This place has slowly fallen apart recently. Service is getting to be way too slow, not kept clean and things thrown all over. Used to come here often, and everything was run smoothly. Not sure what happened, but I am still giving it a high rating based on past experiences. Hopefully, they get it together.

The place was clean. I like how one of the employees was helping the customers with the self order kiosk. The chicken was delicious but the rice tasted like uncle Ben’s rice in a pouch. My son liked the beans but they were too spicy for me. Hey what can I say I’m a weakling when it comes to spicy foods. My corn tortillas were not fully cooked and they were all broken. Their salsas were good they had a good combination of mild and hot. The ambient was busy and it didn’t look to homey like most Mexican restaurants do well with the exception of Chipotle.

I have been ordering online from this location for years. The food and staff are both great; it's just most of the time I pick up my order, it turns out to be incomplete. I always order 10 of each sauces online, but they give me less than that most of the time. Usually less than 5 of each. The restaurant Pollo Loco? Honestly, it didn’t leave much of an impression. First off, there’s free parking right across the street, which is convenient. But once inside, the atmosphere is cold and impersonal. No warmth, no conviviality – it feels like you’re just there to eat, nothing more. As for the presentation, it’s disappointing. The food is served in PVC utensils, like in a school cafeteria. Seriously, it’s a shame, it gives off a utilitarian vibe with no charm, which definitely kills the appetite. Why did I go, you might ask? Because it’s one of the few places in the area that serves whole pieces of chicken 🍗 – real drumsticks, real breasts. I was craving chicken, and at least here, I knew I wasn’t getting processed meat. The place has an open kitchen where you can see the chicken grilling, which is reassuring. However, the service is pretty basic – nothing special, just like any other fast food joint. The interior is clean but small, and the proximity to other customers makes it a bit uncomfortable. Also, the portions of the sides are on the smaller side. In short, it was a stop made by pure chance – I was just looking to eat quickly and well. But if it’s about the overall experience, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

My son has been craving Pollo Loco for a while now so we went there this morning. First of all...the restaurant smelled terrible. I think there was something wrong with the plumbing. I tried to ignore that and ordered food anyway. The service was not great and the food was just shy of mediocre. My son made the mistake of ordering the mac and cheese...I know, a risky move. He couldn't even eat it. In fact, he threw the whole container away. We basically didn't eat anything but the chicken and the spicy salsa. The chips were ok and the chicken was by far the star of the meal. I actually liked the guacamole too. I remember the old Pollo Loco and it used to be amazing. I hope it improves.

My friend and I looked at the El Pollo online Menu and each decided what we wanted. However, when we went to this location, we couldn't find any of the items on their menu. The person behind the counter saw our confusion and told us that the online Menu is different, and that we couldn't order those items in the store.

I went in for a burrito and was told they could not make burritos. They said that nobody working there at that time knew how to make a burrito. I answered all of the questions that they asked me about my experience and was told that I would be contacted soon to resolve the issue. I was never contacted. With customer service like this I am not sure how they are still open.

Someone at corporate decided it was a good idea for the entire chain to stop serving black beans... at least everyplace I called throught the entire Bay Area region. Ooops! Bad decision guys. If corporate sees this review, please allow me to recommend that you fire the person who decided to go that direction. Pinto and/or refried beans are not the same... from a taste perspective and from a nutritional and health-positive perspective. Bring back black beams and advertise that big and loud, so nobody can miss it! You'll get your customers back, your food is otherwise fairly healthy. But when you opt for the unhealthy option as your sole option, and I'm sure it's because of some sort of financial incentive to do so, then a whole bunch of us out here can simply no longer support you.

Food was cold. Quesadilla had "fatty" meat pieces in it. Chips tasted "aired" No Diet soda as Diet was broken. Told me to pick another drink. That was rude being I am Diabetic.

They charge extra when you make your meal a combo and when I confronted the manager 5 times, she completely ignored it every time. I even called the corporation and they ignored it too. The way they're cheating customer's will get them in trouble one day and it will be a HUGE class action lawsuit.

All 3 of us demanded our money back luckily I didn't even begin to eat my food yet! And they immediately refunded all 3 of us.

The food was okay. But the Male cook with 2 earrings on hand on no gloves and was scratching his nose and face until he caught me looking at me. I will.post this experience on Facebook and Twitter. Also the people there could not speak English good. I could not understand the girl in bourgandy. We are in the U.S.A. remember. This store took my order just before 9pm it is now 10:32pm all employees are leaving as I haf to come to the location to find they were closed but they charge my card and would not come even to the door to check what the issue was..... As a second person came to the door with the same issue..... There was no 'closed' sign anywhere to b seen...... DO NOT DO ONLINE ORDERING FROM THIS STORE THEY ROB YOU!!!!

I LEFT HUNGRY AND UPSET, POLLO LOCO PLEASE BE AWARE WHEN HIRING PEOPLE THAT ARE ACTUALLY PEOPLE FRIENDLY! AND AND ACCOMMODATING AND WELL MANNERISMS ESPECIALLY IF HE IS A MANAGER WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE TO PUT AN EXAMPLE I THINK THEY SHOULD RETRAIN COSTUMER SERVICE!!!! 2/24/26, I came in around 9:30 pm, restaurant closes at 10 pm. The kitchen staff were busy talking the whole time, took 15 minutes to make my burrito as they dragged their feet and chatted, watching me. Frustrated, I just left. Burrito ain't worth the risk that follows that.

I don't recommend this pollo loco. I get there, Manager JOEL, gets my order and the lady behind me, got her order first and it was a big order. I did not like that. He gave me my order, the burrito I had order was very cold, and they are not good at following instructions. They messed up my tostada. I go inside and let him know, he made another burrito and tostada for us. So I'm eating my tostada and I found 2 hairs. At this moment I don't even want to eat my food. Joel was very pleasant, but his team not so much. The guy was scratching his head and grabbing food with no gloves... I don't recommend...
