This is a nice place to bring your family for a quick and easy lunch or dinner. There's a lot of town and school memorabilia in here. It is a nice and relaxing place with friendly folks. The food is great here even if it is a little bit pricey. However, you get what you pay for ang often times I'm not able to finish eating the meal because so much is offered on the plate. I feel they could do with better lighting on the outside, however, as it was rather dark when I showed up.

Small town cafe with a great atmosphere and wonderful homemade food. The chicken fried steak was amazing, and they had very good gravy. The fries were fresh. Also the toast tasted savory and I loved the butter on it. The salad was good as well. Also the service was great. Friendly smiles and we were welcomed.

Great food, for 3 people under $20, coffee was great too, great Breakfast with the Family definitely will be going again Definitely my go to place for breakfast I guess depending on the cook that day not sure? but when my Husband & I went the other morning our eggs we get them over med well they were cooked a lil to much or her than that excellent 👍☕🍴Also great customer service

Visited Sweeny on business and decided to try this local flavor for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. Would be happy to return here.

The food is absolutely WONDERFUL TASTING... The portions are HUGE! THE employees are a little ON THE SIDE OF LOUD but they are very courteous and happy!!! I was in the dining room with my 7 month old baby and they did not sweep around us because of the baby, I APPRECIATED THAT!! I HAD a catfish dinner, and man the fish is great and the tartar sauce is heavenly!! My husband had the chicken fried steak dinner and wasn't as happy, there was more breading then meat, but it tasted OK he said.

Felt like a home cooked dinner dish from a local diner as I'm not from around the area. This place definitely hit the spot I got the chicken fried chicken with french fries, Texas toast and a side salad. I'll definitely be returning before I head back home

Paid top dollar for my chicken fajita taco salad but got home and had no chicken in there. Kinda feel a bit ripped off.

One staff member tonight was extremely disrespectful and childish arguing with another staff member in front of me being extremely rude to her and included Sandy in the argument who seemed to do nothing about his behavior. I tried for 20 minutes to place an order tonight it was 7:20 when I tried to call. After many many calls I figured they took the phone off of the hook. My dad wanted a burger, he’s wanted one for a few days, so I packed my toddler into the car and tried to drive down there real quick before they stopped taking orders. I made it at 7:42. Yes I know kinda rude but y’all are the ones who didn’t answer the phone. I walked in and someone said they would be right with me. She was restocking things. A man who works there, if you have had issues with bulldog the last few months I’m sure you know who I’m taking about, waited until 7:45 to come up and say they stop taking orders. He was sitting around doing nothing before this and could have taken my order, his coworker said something to him about how she already offered to take my order and I was in there before the time. He got up in her face and was practically yelling at her about how ‘we stop taking orders at 7:45 that’s the rule isn’t it?’ He turned to Sandy who was in the kitchen and said ‘isn’t that the rule? You’re pissing me off.’ His coworker said ‘well you’ve been taking the phones off of the hook’ and he said ‘no I haven’t’ and I turned around and said ‘yes you have because I tried to call many many times and no one ever answered’ and I had to walk out bc I was so frustrated by how he was treating his coworker and they fact that he was allowed to do that with Sandy standing right there is crazy.

This review only about service . They close at 8pm, at 7:08 they will not answer the phone, my husband drives there .. we are 2 miles . At 7:20 pm they tell him they cannot take orders for food… how do you stay in business if your workers are turning away orders ! So if you don’t serve food for the last hour, then why do you stay open, just to irritate people?

They took a very long time as usual. My mom wanted the chicken fried chicken dinner with a side of okra. It was missing the french fries and gravy and looked unappetizing in general.
