Jrecks Sub is my favorite place for a sub,but I only go to the one in the Valley.I have tried others but believe me they are not the same. My personal opinion, they will always be the bestest.

I love JReck subs more than anywhere else. Sadly they left my hometown years ago. On the town FB page there are many who want it back! As it stands, I have to go 15 to 20 miles to get a sub here, so I just don't go as often. I went yesterday because I was at Community Hospital for testing... and the decked out seafood salad large sub made it all better! They always make a sub how is like. The other nice thing is I've never had a sub maker here try to get me to get a named sun, as opposed to the big chain with 'sub' in their name, they always say "oh you want a blah blah blah", even management has stepped in to say "this or that doesn't go on such n such a sub". I got a very rude look once for saying "I don't want that, she is putting on what I asked for" and "yes I know bacon is extra" .

So much better than subway. They have been around for years and years. Not sure why they never got as big as subway. The food is great with a great selection. This location on the day I visited had a very pleasant sandwich maker on staff and my entire experience was great. I would definitely recommend this place and I am definitely going again soon.

Jreck Subs has been a long time favorite of mine because of the constancy of their subs over all the years. I wouldn't say they're the best but they are good, quick and inexpensive for over 40 years and I can order the same sandwich that I did then, now! That's a pleasant, comforting experience!

This is absolutely the best steak sub I've had all year. There fries amazing crispy and crunchy how i like them. This meal was delicious bread tasted so soft and fresh This definitely made my day a lot better i must say there customer service get 100% very friendly spoke in a great manor the young man and the lady together make a great team ill definitely be back for a sub sooner then later wasnt able to tip this go round ill for sure leave them a tip next time ill give them 7 out of 5 stars haven't had such a great experience in such a long time i had to share my story i hope there recognize at there job my visit wasn't even 20 minutes ago thats how fast i was able to eat and enjoy my beautiful sub

Never let a lot of cars in the parking lot scare you these ladies and gentlemen move fast! What appears to be a line moves quickly. They get you in and out fast with great food for a great price.

These subs are so good. This is one of the good Jrecks, not the pizza shop split, those are not as good, this is GOOD. BLT with Russian, American Cheese, Italian seasoning, a little crushed pepper, minced pickle; call it the "Around the World" - so delicious.

I did not expect the food to be great but it far exceeded my expectations. I ordered a buffalo chicken sub, the meat was very well seasoned, the sauce wasn't overwhelmingly hot. The bread was soft and saturated with the sauce. I loved the different selections for toppings.

Jrecks are the best! Great subs, evil-good cookies, friendly staff. Their location is on a busy corner with a small/tight parking lot, so parking and leaving can be a bit tricky- but the food makes it so worth it.

Best subs hands down! Can't have a sub without Russian/ Thousand Island dressing, and they make the best. The Trio of oil, oregano, and parm cheese hits every time! No sub is complete without a whole pickle quartertered on the side. If you want a sub with a soft roll, packed with flavor and made to perfection, this is your place!

My favorite take-out sandwich place in Syracuse. Try the tuna sub with shredded lettuce, onions, and hot pepper relish. Unlike most other sub shops you won't need to ask for extra mayo because the tuna salad has enough. Another favorite is their steak sub, which they cook while you watch. Holly has been doing a great job as manager for some years, and the well-trained staff provides fast and efficient service. UPDATE-1: Still making excellent subs. UPDATE-2: The "Two for Tuesday" deal means you get two full subs for $12.95 (in 2024). Not all of their subs are included in the deal, but the list of those that are is pretty long.

Been going here since I was a kid. Nothing's really changed in the sub shop, besides the COVID wall. Hot pepper relish is what makes Jreck Sub stand out from the other sub shops any where around. The subs are very skinny from other bread subs. They have better roast beef. Not sure if they still service corn beef

I live near Jreck Subs and I'm a regular there. I only get the hot subs because the things on the cold subs, I can get on my own, so I don't bother ordering from the cold subs. I like most of the hot subs sandwiches. I get a steak sub and mostly any chicken sub. It's a good place.

While not as fancy as some of the newer sub shops, they have crushed red peppers that some others stopped carrying, and they make good subs... The only knock is that they did not carry black olives.

Convenient location along my way. Freshly made good tasting subs after a long drive.

Pretty good subs! The bread was very fresh. Wish there had been a little more seasoning on it, next time I would ask for extra.

I came for the first time with my friend after we saw the nearest Latin AND Chinese place were closed. The first good sign was a long line. Also, the staff was pretty familiar with the people ordering. That means it's a good local place. I had cheesy ranch fries, and a chicken Parmesan sub, my friend had grilled chicken with mayo and veggies, both of ours were heated. We also had mozzarella sticks. What a surprise. This was a really decent place. Food for a quick bite that fills you up for hours.

Visiting from Indiana. Food was great! People behind the counter were nice. Other patrons, an older couple, were very rude. No lines in the parking lot, and no one else was there when we arrived. We had no idea where we were supposed to park, so we just did the obvious and pulled up next to the building. Older couple was talking about how we screwed the whole parking system up. We packed up the rest of our food and left.

This is a simple sub. Nothing extravagant. Weekly specials that cater to families on a budget. I ve had worse.

Jreck, sadly, has become Subway. This is not your 1970s era Jreck.

I didn't really care for this location. It use be a good place to eat at.

The staff can be very friendly and they're good at making a wait on two for Tues. Seem a lot less daunting (on occasion). The parking is horrible people seem to park anywhere and getting out can seem impossible.

I'm not a big fan of jreck subs I'm more a subway person. My sister was going so I said I'll get one. I ordered a half turkey sub meal on white with mayo, provalone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions & a little sprinkle of the peppers relish with a bag of chips and soda. It was alright I just wasn't happy with there meat selection or toppings you don't have that much to choose from.

The black guy didn't enter drink in register but took our money. Both guy's were impatient with my order and my 1/2 sub was cut small so I asked for a whole because it wasn't what I paid for.

I ordered online. A Chicken stir fry hot sub and got a sub with chicken and cheese. The flavor was good however the red,green peppers and onions were not on the sub. This was my first time trying jreck and I’m not fully satisfied.

Disappointing. Placed appeared and felt unsanitary. Employees less than enthusiastic to be there. Bread was doughy, will not return. Would not recommend.

Grew up eating Jreck Subs; love the food. I went to make an online order for pickup on a Friday afternoon with over an hours’ notice between order and pickup time. My parents are older (one is handicapped), so the convenience of ordering ahead for them is important to us. I received an email when I was on my way to the shop saying the order was declined. I did not receive a phone call or further explanation as to why. I can understand if short staffing is a possible concern during these times, but please consider disabling online ordering as an option for customers if it isn’t something that can be accommodated to.

Have been on a sub kick for the past week or so and ordered a few subs, I received a poorly made half sub 3 times in a row so I nicely added a note on all my new orders to please make sure its a whole, why in the world did an employee have the audacity to write on my food bag that I "got a whole the day before"? As if their opinion is needed when THEY messed up my order 3 times in the last WEEK. Please don't be petty and write stuff on my sandwich bag when making people's orders, and the customer leaves a VERY NICE note which is an option on doordash!!! Disrespectful.

Worst sandwich I have had in awhile. I went here because I saw the reviews were good but by no means does this place deserve a 4 star rating. Quality of food was below average and didn't seem like a clean environment.
