Nice cute place next to the highway with a gas station next to it Perfect for the rest stop on the family trip Staff very friendly Family owned business Food is always amazing and fresh Stop by and try it out 😉
Food is consistently top quality. Nice that they had Tarantula on tap too. Dining area is kept clean, bathrooms too.
You may feel like you need a nap after eating here, however, its worth it! Their brats are solid and burger selection is also very good as well. Tasty fries and also highly recommend their breakfast burritos!! Inside seating is somewhat limited, however, they do have a small patio area as well. Service is usually pretty quick too.
There are many food options to satisfy varying palates. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the Impossible food options and other vegetarian food items available (sausage, tenders, burritos, etc). The vegetarian Bad Mutha Clucka sandwich was recommended and I thoroughly enjoyed it. All ingredients were put together nicely - crisp lettuce and soft bun. I also ordered well done onion rings and they were perfectly made with a side of ranch dressing. I am pleased with Dog Haus and I plan to come back to try some other vegetarian options on the menu. I am curious if their plant based products are cooked on the same equipment as their animal products?
This location is just as wonderful as any other one that you will visit. It was not too busy and there was a lot of parking. It is kind of hidden and tucked in the back, but you will definitely enjoy visiting. There are plenty of seats and tv's to watch. This is definitely a place to visit if you want to just hang out or catch a game. There is a wide selection of food and it all tastes fresh and delicious. Make sure to visit this location.
This place is awesome. I've tried the Cowboy and the California hotdog specials they have and both were delicious. Sports always on and plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. If you're looking for a hotdog in this area this place is one of the best. The picture is the California hotdog they serve.
Absolutely L❤VED Dog Haus in Thousand Oaks. First Timer, but certainly NOT a last timer. Apparently this is located in a string of 3 restaurants including a salad place and a Mediterranean restaurant, however of the three, Dog Haus seemed to be the most Inviting! Upon entering the air conditioned restaurant you'll immediately notice the decor and the space seeming very inviting. Despite being called Dog Haus, we opted for Burgers Instead. In fact, I can't imagine coming here and NOT getting a burger. They are Out of this world! Who takes a 4 pack of Hawaiian Rolls and slices them in half and shoved sooo much tastiness into them, eggs Included. The other thing is their Tater Tots with Chili and Cheese. Oh the goodness of these amazing crispy and decadent delights. I regret only one thing which is not having more than one tummy to be able to enjoy multiple delights from Dog Haus. Until we meet again.
Have you ever been in the situation where you didn't know you needed something until you've had it? That was our experience with Dog Haus. I don't know if I can ever have another burger on regular buns again! The King's Hawaiian Rolls add their sweet taste to really great burgers. The tater tots were really good too. We also had to do a corn dog with their spicy Italian sausage. The root beer batter was really good. We will definitely come back!
Yummy dogs and the crispiest fries I’ve had. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for an innovative twist on a traditional favorite. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the ordering process.
I only got my cheese fries and a hot dog 2 go. The dog I got was absolutely tasty. There are plenty of varieties. They have much more than simply dogs and brats. That atmosphere on a Sunday morning was easy and they did have football on. That was a win win. I will go back to try their Bad Ass Breakfast Burritos. So far so good. Oh they also service beer, wine and brunch drinks.
For a fast-food spot, it’s really good. The buns are exceptional—easily the best among any fast-food chain. The fries are great, far better than McDonald’s or In-N-Out. The smashed patties are good but they add too much bbq sauce (ask to do not do it) , and the prices are reasonable. Service ranges from okay to mediocre, but it’s fine. The menu is quite eclectic, with quirky dish options that make it hard to pinpoint a specific style—there’s everything from burgers and sausages to tacos. Supposedly, it’s German-inspired? Either way, for fast food, it’s a solid choice.
Enter the establishment noticing the lack of room inside the restaurant but, even then it’s dog Haus what can you say? The food always follows same consistency and for my trip I ate the ringer which is a patty layered with sweet BBQ sauce with onion rings on top and a layer of bacon. Personally the burger felt so fatty that I would reel in disgust at time with the amount of grease coating my mouth. Giving the benefit of the doubt since the location was packed with customers as the cashier had to stop taking orders to give the kitchen crew time to prepare the next batch. An associate of mine ordered a can of monster and to his surprise without the knowledge of the price found out that they price the regular not full size monster cans that have the special cap 5.00$. Which he would remark that he could get a monster can nearby for 4.50$ for two of them. Would still recommend people looking to dine into something new as dog Haus continues to spin the narrative for a creative burger. 6/10/22 I returned giving the benefit of the doubt of my past experience of this location and wow I thank my past self. I order the T-Mex and with every bite a wave of spice and kick punched my mouth as the avocado paired with sweet relish would clean my palette at every bite. I can honestly say that the hotdogs were of A+ quality
Food was amazing as usual, but customer service has been a longstanding issue. In particular, when a mistake was made regarding my order, employees and management were deeply unprofessional and left me on hold for nearly 15 minutes as my food grew colder. I just wanted a bacon breakfast burrito. Not an argument with a perceived teenager over the contents of my burrito compared to what was outlined on the order ticket. Note to management: it may be wise to require basic communication skills and good manners as an employment prerequisite.
Very little to recommend here. Location is RIGHT on thousand oaks Blvd 150 ft from the 101 freeway with the added benefit of the air blowers from the Shell drive through car wash making it nothing but noisey and loud We asked if the fries were regular fries or if the were coated and seasoned and they said "only salted" so I ordered a burger and fries. Turns out the fries are coated in that gawdawful flour and seasoning stuff, so they tasted just like the Head Chef at Dog Haus designed them to taste, but nothing like French Fries are supposed to taste like. The burger was great tasting! Unfortunately it was constructed on some sort of 4way bun ... think like 4 Kings Hawaiian Dinner Rolls not separated. After the first bite the to bun had separated into two halves and after the burger was half consumed the other half had disintegrated into pile of goo in the tray. My girlfriend's kraft dog similarly disintegrated and her onion rings were of that same type- flour and seasoning coating, not breadcrumb like actual onion rings. My evaluation of Dog Haus is that it's one of those places where the Corporate Chef designs the food based on how they want it to look
Bad first impression. We went for National Hot Dog Day to get a free dog and buy additional items, of course. Disappointed to be told that we were unable to get a free dog bc we didn't download the app more than 24 hrs prior. 🤔 Seriously!?! It was our first time to any Daug Haus. Felt like we got scammed. We left without ordering anything and not planning to go back. Instead, we went to the amazing Mouthful Eatery, specializing in Peruvian (in the Yelp top 100 places to eat in the US )!!!
