Tip: Order the chicken katsu or spam musubi for a taste of home, and be sure to try the mac salad. Consider asking for extra sauce for the Loco Moco and Fried Spam Musubi.

Genuinely one of the best meals of my life. Kalua pork was so tender it was practically falling off my fork. Chicken katsu was honestly the best cooked chicken i’ve ever had. Surprised with how good the steamed cabbage and white rice was, not bland at all. Fantastic price and great portions.
This place never misses. Food is so delicious and service is always so quick. I eat here all the time and every time it’s great. Highly recommend
Got the loco moco and bbq pulled pork. All of the food was absolutely tremendous, and nearly unbeatable quantity/value as well for the area. Highly recommend!
A hidden gem! Amazing prices and portions are huge! Reminds my husband and I of our honeymoon in Hawaii. This place will instantly cure your seasonal depression in the colder months. Wondering if they are open during the holidays I’d rather have this for Xmas dinner than Chinese anywhere nearby.
Definitely the best of Ryan BBQ in Ann Arbor Michigan! All their meats are so sweet like they're they're you know savory as well but they're also very sweet and it's it's hard to compete with what they have with this unique as it is an Ann Arbor and Ann Arbor He's got a lot of unique things but nothing stands out quite like this place and this place is not even super expensive like most of the places that stand out in Ann Arbor so you must give it a try if you're in this area of Ann Arbor off Eisenhower!! ❣️
Aloha - about 15 tables or so for dine in eating. Much foot traffic for take out/Door Dash. Food fresh prepared to order. Loco Moco was great as were the other entrees. Radio playing is streaming from Maui (KPOA 93.5) - authentic food, authentic music. While not quite L&L or Zippy's, give them a try for a taste of the islands in MI
The food was tasty, and the service was welcoming. However, the ambiance was dull; perhaps a vibrant Hawaiian theme could enhance the space. Every dish we tried was delicious, reasonably priced, and generously portioned. We will visit again soon. Thrilled that A2 has a Hawaiian eatery.
Just heard about this spot and I had to check it out as I haven’t had good Hawaiian food since Vegas. I ordered the chicken combo plate, which came with bbq chicken, chicken katsu, rice, cabbage, and macaroni salad as well as the spam dish. The chicken was phenomenal, so was the macaroni salad and the sauces it came with. The spam was good but I’m not the biggest fan of seaweed. For $20 (including tip) it was a great meal and service, I will be back for more!
I definitely recommend coming here to eat! When I walked in, I was greeted with amazing service and the whole place gave such a welcoming aura. The servers were very friendly as I ordered my food, and I received it in a very short amount of time. As soon as I was given my food, I could smell the wonderful scent, even when the lid is closed! The food tasted absolutely marvelous, and the cost was 100% worth it. The service, food, cleanness, and just the overall vibe was astonishing, I recommend this place to everyone!
Very good flavor on the Hawaiian BBQ chicken. Nicely seasoned kalua pork. Great value for the money, large portions.
This restaurant has a great portion to price ratio, and super authentic with the selection of dishes they offer. The menu instore in comparison to the Togo menu has more items so be sure to take your time once you order. The Teriyaki chicken Bowl was an awesome balance of veggies protein and rice with a beautiful medley of flavors in every bite, I highly recommend. Although the Aloha bbq combo has multiple proteins the shredded beef and cabbage was the star of the Platter maybe ask for more sauce when ordering. The kalbi and chicken were somewhat bland but super Tender. The Spam Musubi was another 5 star item both sauces provided whether the Teriyaki or bbq is the perfect decision. In conclusion the sides that come with the Aloha combo being Rice and macaroni were okay but lack luster comparing taste profiles; and the Chicken Teriyaki Udon soup was delicious as well with the tempura toppings overall I enjoyed my experience and definitely will be trying more dishes at a later date.
I wasn't feeling like cooking so I door dashed Aloha BBQ to my apartment. The food came hot and it felt fresh. I got the Loco Moco, something I've always wanted to try, and the Fried Spam Musubi. Overall both were solid and well cooked. My only criticism is that both dishes needed more sauce. I wish the Loco Moco had more gravy to mix with the rice and the Fried Musubi needed a sauce on the side to dip in not just the drizzle. Overall the food was really good. I would definitely go back!
When I saw Hawaiian BBQ in the area, I was excited. When I called to ask if they have Huli Huli Chicken and Poke, the person I spoke to had never heard of them. I would encourage them to expand their menu to include both of these delicious Hawaiian staples. And poi.
I wanted to love this place, but it seems just ... alright. The highlight was the Spam Musubi, but as others have mentioned, it's just plain rice and spam and nori. I asked for a side of teriyaki sauce which was just what it needed to make it delicious. The Loco Moco was okay but pretty bland. The Spicy Salmon Roll was also okay but was served without soy sauce, and had some offputtingly crunchy stuff inside. The prices were fair, at least. One thing I was disappointed about - everything, including orders for eat-in, was served in styrofoam containers. It's 2023, do better. [Edit in reply to owner's response: styrofoam to-go containers aren't great, but this was dining in, where it's just insanely wasteful. Just use plates like everyone else.]
It is Chinese Hawaiian style restaurant. It was my first time getting food from here but probably the last one. The food was warm, but everything I got is taste like frozen food, canned food. We could even find exactly same fried fish at Costco frozen food section. Price was okay paid $14 for dish but wasn’t very tasty.
I recently visited Aloha Hawaiian BBQ and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. First, communication was difficult because the staff’s English was very limited. It made simple requests harder than they needed to be. Second, the food was served in plastic takeout containers instead of plates, even though we were dining in. On top of that, the food wasn’t brought to the table — you have to go and pick it up yourself. When I asked for salt, instead of giving a standard packet, the employee went to the kitchen, poured salt into a small plastic cup, and handed it to me. That felt unprofessional and unsanitary. The food itself was okay, but nothing special. It’s below average overall considering the service and presentation. I expected better.
The food was simply not good. I'm not sure why it's got such high reviews. We ordered both of the platters to split all of the meats. There was only one type that was edible. The rest was fatty and full of gristle.
Might want to advertise the, what I'm guessing was the gravy, in your Loco Moco has either peanuts or tree nuts in it. This is a very common allergy and the fact you do not mention this shows you are a third rate dive. Because you served this to me I have had a bad allergic reaction, am vomiting, and wasted 13 dollars.
The worst $30 I ever spent in my life first off, I wanted a combo with two meats. the chili bone in chicken and I also tried the fried chicken. I forgot what they call it, but they gave me two completely separate orders as if I was ordering two orders Which made it amount to $30 that wasn’t the issue the issue was they gave me barbecue chicken instead and they gave me the chili bone in chicken which comes cold and they should definitely let people know that because I never in my life had a bowl full of food that was cold unless it was supposed to be cold. I notified the lady at the counter and she went and warmed it up. It taste like bland chicken in red grease. As I was leaving, no one was standing at the front counter so I left the food right there and I decided to not ask for my money back Ill just never return. I’m just giving people a heads up on how horrible the chili bone in chicken is. now the barbecue chicken on the other hand was pretty good. It tasted like the Chinese bourbon from the middle of the mall. Good luck people
