Tip: Parathas are a popular choice, especially the aloo and paneer parathas. Be aware that the owner might rush you during peak hours.

We love coming here for quick grab & go food. We enjoy the samosas & typically get a two item combo with butter chicken, saag which comes with roti or rice.
Our favorite 🇮🇳 take out fast Indian food. We usually get the saag and butter chicken also a plate samosa
The Gulab Jamun was sweet and probably one of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend trying their Gulab Jamun!
Not perfect food not perfect ambience but perfect Dhaba experience in Sunnyvale. Basic hearty Indian food at good prices - Parathas, Dal, Sabzi (veggies), not bad chicken dishes - like their chili chicken, Lassi, Chai, Mithai (sweets), Samosa and some other savory quick bites. People come here for take out but I also used to come here for lunch with my colleagues. Somehow perfect vibe for a casual conversation over lunch… don’t know why but the experience is pretty close to what you might get in a basic restaurant in India… maybe that’s the charm. Or maybe the no nonsense and unpretentious customer service. It’s run by hearty Punjabi ladies. Love the achar (pickle) and onion with the chapatis. There should be more places like this - casual, unpretentious and don’t break your wallet.
The food is consistently tasty. Atmosphere, ambiance etc...not so much.
Extremely affordable Indian sweets and Punjabi dishes that taste homemade. You are not going to rajjot for gourmet meals. In the sweets the Bengali sweets taste delicious. In food, they make rotis fresh which is nice. Try the paneer paratha or the aloo paratha, both stuffed and we'll cooked. In the sabzi, the saag, bhindi and dal makhani are great. The mattar paneer is pretty ok. The service is ok, it is understandable that the staff is busy doing multiple things.
Went there to get a samosa chat based on the reviews. It looks like an old style food place. All food us well covered both veg n non veg.My order took around 15 mins n the person struggled to get sev etc together. It seemed like they were out of stock.Everyone there is very polite.Foid is reasonably priced. My samosa chat was average in taste. One samosa with all other things. Most samosa chats have two samosaz
Update 2025: I have visited here a few times since my last review and definitely seen poorer customer service and more importantly the food is not as good as it once was, the butter chicken I had recently was very poor quality chicken and just way too oily. Subgee’s were also not as good as I recall from years past. Finally, service has been getting pretty poor, this weekend I was barked at by the guy serving at the counter. Not good. I doubt I will come back - sad as I’ve been coming here for over a decade or more and to see the food and service get so poor is upsetting especially since it’s one of the few North Indian food places in the area. —————— Prior review: This is a total ‘hole in the wall’ kinda place. It’s located in a strip mall between a liquor store on one side and a Persian restaurant on the other. It’s been around for years and generally pretty busy when we’ve been. There’s a small parking lot at the front that can get fairly packed. Often there’s a line at the front. It does have a small sit down area but I’d definitely would not anyone for a special occasion for a sit down meal here. It’s pretty rough I’d say … so 99% we get the food to go. Now the good thing, for me, is the food … I really like most of the food I’ve had there - today I had butter chicken, channa and rajma. I had these with fresh rotis. It was a pretty good meal and got good portions for the price. We’ve been coming here off and on for years so would recommend if someone asked me if they had a hankering for some North Indian (Punjabi) foods … has pretty good selections of hot main dishes every time we’ve been …. it also has Indian sweets.
The food is good. But the lady helping ( guessing she is the owner) is very rude. Samosa chat, aloo tikki chat and bhel puri were great. Dhani bhalla chat was pretty average. The curries taste great but sit on heat the whole day, so the chicken in the curries turns hard and rubbery by the end of the day. Great prices thought.
We went here after a long time. Still get the same homely feeling. However, I feel that the quality has gone down. The Punjabi rotis still soft, are dry. The Chicken Tikka and Kadhai Chicken are just okay. Paneer masala is the same gravy as chicken, minus chicken and the alu mutter is pretty good. Coming to the sweets, cham-cham was great, but the Rosogullas were hard like a broken in walnut.
Well, I looked forward a lot to eating here. The prices and the rating made it sound like too good to be true. Unfortunately, my experience was very very ordinary. The entree had more salt that needed. The paratas were quite bland and had no flavour to it. I feel nothing pulling me back to eat here.
Decently low priced North Indian food and chaats available here. Ambience could be improved, presentation too can be better. Food was Punjabi style and it was good. Something seemed to be missing in few dishes. Also they serve in paper plates, plastic cups, plastic spoons... Good for to go options..if you want to sit at the place and eat, you might feel bit weird eating in plastic plates.
Chapati are fresh but sag and channa not fresh felt soggy and spoiled
Recently visited the Rajjot with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience was a letdown. Ordered 3 parathas with gravy, but what caught my attention was the denial of giving 2 pickle, which is a standard practice at many restaurants. Requested two pickles to go with the order, but the staff refused, citing no clear reason. The gravy accompanying the parathas was also subpar, lacking flavor and depth. When brought this to the attention of the service desk staff, they seemed disinterested and ignored my concerns. Despite repeated attempts to engage with them, my questions and concerns were met with silence. The lack of attention to customer satisfaction and poor service was disappointing. The food, although freshly prepared, was not enough to redeem the overall experience.
There’s a girl working at the restaurant as a staff member, and her attitude is really bad. She doesn’t know how to deal with customers. We once asked her to pack some food for us, and she refused. On top of that, she spoke to us in a very rude manner
Ordered Roti and Paneer Mutter from this place for dinner. Roti's are amazing. Perfect size and perfectly cooked. Paneer Mutter was pathetic. The taste was not what you would expect from a Paneer Mutter vegetable. Looked horrible. Gave me serious food poisoning for the complete night. There were no paneer chunks but instead had stale tofu chunks. Horrible. Attaching a photo for you to judge.
