Super friendly, lightning fast, and always one step ahead — our drinks never hit empty and the food was flawless. She brought great energy and made the whole experience next-level. They take care of you if anything goes wrong(only happened one time) 30 top made it hard on the kitchen. The manager made it right. The food is always fresh and delicious. Prime rib, ribeye, filet, etc. Its all yummy!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Edgar was absolutely awesome manager, super friendly and really made the whole experience great! Our server, Lauren, was amazing too. She was attentive and kind. I got the Pat’s Ribeye and it was incredible, literally melted in my mouth. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while! Oh and don’t forget to get the side Caesar salad, it is now one of my fav salads for sure.

We have not been to Salt Grass in Tyler in a long time. We went today after church the food was amazing and I think we had the best waitress in the house. I think her name was Char. The manager Meagan made us feel right at home! This is our new spot to eat after church!

When I tell you guys this place was amazing that can't even describe how good it was. Our server was super nice, made casual conversation, and was super helpful with making sure everything was right. The steak here is some of the best I've ever had, their potatoes were cooked just right, and my personal favorite was the flash fried green beans they were just what I was craving! The mood was super cozy and happy. The music wasn't super loud and the seating was good. 10/10 TLDR; food was great, personal favorite was the flash fried green beans. The waiters were super nice and helpful. The place was super nice and cozy!

Waitress was fantastic, very attentive with great timing in checking on Us. She explained the kitchen was backed up and apologized for Our food taking so long. That was our only criticism, that was waiting on the food to arrive. However the food flavor was excellent and our steaks were perfectly cooked. Ribs were incredibly tender loaded with flavor!

We got a gift card for Christmas and we usually go to the Rockwall Saltgrass, but this time we were close to Tyler so we decided to stop there. Even though the restaurant was almost empty we were seated near the bar. We waited 10 minutes for out drinks and the bread was stale and I couldn't eat it. The salad was just the usual house salad and when I finished eating it I saw a small hair on the plate. I told the server and she said she had never seen that since she started working there and she was going to tell the manager, but I never heard back. The ribeyes that we ordered were supposed to be cooked to medium, but they were closer to well-done. The steak tasted like sirloin and not a ribeye. It had not flavor at all and tasted like something you would get from Denny's. Our server never checked on us, he just yelled over at me to see if I needed a to go box. He didn't bother to ask if we wanted dessert or if we needed anything else, he just picked up our card and walked away. For almost an $80.00 dollar meal, I really wished it would have been worth it, but unfortunately I won't be back to this location.

I went in for dinner last night (Thursday at 7 pm) and was a little surprised that the parking lot was almost empty. I quickly learned why. It took a while for the server to take our drink order. We were told they were out of coffee. When our drinks arrived, they were incorrect. When the salads were served, the lettuce was rusty. It was at least a 25 minute wait for our food. When it did arrive, my steak was undercooked, tough and tasted awful. My dad's steak was overcooked and cold somehow and his side was wrong. We didn't bother to send them back because it seemed like the 4 top next to us had to send their food back (after being told that the kids items they had ordered were out of stock) and a few people at the 8 top across the room also sent things back. I felt bad for our server and still tipped her well, but we won't be back. Given the alarming rate at which restaurants are closing in Tyler, Saltgrass might want to re-think who they have running that place and get their act together.

I review places everywhere I eat. Feedback is the only way they can improve. Here’s the observations: 1. No manager came by the table and asked about meal, service, quality of food etc. Not a manager in sight. 2. Coffee came out cold and we could tell it had been there all morning. 3. Couldn’t find our server so we had to summon another server to alert them. 4. Order came out wrong and took forever. Ordered a grill cheese, two bowls of soup and a child chicken tender with fries. Received two grill cheeses and two soups. No tenders. Server knew it as soon as she set it down that order wasn’t right. Took a while to receive it. 5. How do you eat fries without catsup? Why must you wait to receive catsup once the fries are cold? We paid cash, left a decent tip and then this review. I don’t shortchange the server for managements fault. This restaurant had a 4.1 star rating when we arrived. I gave them the benefit of doubt. Sad, sad, sad.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced!!. My husband, our 1 year old and I came here to have a nice dinner this afternoon. We waited 10 minutes to be seated. Then once we were seated we never were served. It was not busy whatsoever but multiple people next to us that came in after us got served. After constantly making contact with the dark haired red head waitress she still ignored us even though she saw we had no drinks. After 30 minutes of waiting we just left and went to Texas Roadhouse where the service was much better!.

Can’t speak too much about the food. However, received this as part of a catering order brought to the work place. I don’t eat meat, so just went with veggie sides. Took one bite of the Brussels sprouts and knew there was an issue. Turns out the Brussels sprouts are cooked sautéed in bacon fat but did not give the appearance of any bacon bits. Typically, this wouldn’t be an issue if the restaurant at least gives a description and informs people this is the case. However, the menus only lists Brussel sprouts without further info and that is only on the catering menu (and isn’t even on the main menu). It’s a steak house so I figure there can be cross contamination, but I typically expect the veggie sides to be clear from this.

Just left the restaurant. I sat at the bar, had a cocktail, and the bartender was great. I ordered a bone in ribeye, sweet potato and potato soup. The soup was hot, and it was really good. The sweet potato was perfect. The problem lies with the steak. I ordered it medium and the first time it came out it was raw to be honest. I sent it back and asked for a few more minutes on the grill. The second time it came back I asked the bartender to be sure if I asked for medium and she said “yes, and I told them” so I sent it back one more time. The last time it came back, it was a completely different plate, and the steak was cooked right, but it tasted horrible, looked mangled, and it had a smell to it. I didn’t eat finish it, and even the bartender apologized when she saw my face after she asked me if I was going to have dessert. I wasn’t rude, and not sure what happened tonight, but they really missed the mark. I paid my tab, tipped her out, I won’t say I will never go back, it will definitely be a while though.

I was very upset and had to wait for my food for almost an hour and then finally receive my appetizer, just for the plate to be hot and not my food, the cheese was hard nd burnt and wasnt appetizing at all. my main course was the cheeseburger and my mother had the chicken fried steak , my cheeseburger was cold, and again my plate was hot, not my food, AND the cheese was old. they had a big party going on, but it seems our waiter wasnt focused on us and thats maybe why our food was cold. the manager came out and took off it for us, but very. food quality.
