Burger U is undeniably the best burger spot in the area, at least to my taste. The burgers are consistently excellent, and the fries are a standout. The only area that could use some improvement is the drinks, as the ice cubes can occasionally be a bit muddy.
If you crave mouth watering wings this should be your go-to spot! The bUssin wing sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. They also serve a great strawberry margarita you can’t beat for the price, the staff treated me so well I hope to be back soon!
Very nice waitress , kid friendly environment ,fast service . Came here years ago after “Light UP UCF” . Great wings , awesome burgers and friendly staff.
Burger U is great. Burger is good. Beer is good. According to my “friend” who is a fan of pickles, the pickle fries are good. Picture attached is the view when dining outside.
Burger U was an extraordinary part of our visit to Orlando. If you're looking for: -incredible service by knowledgable, polite, and attentive servers (big thank you to Sierra who was kind and patient and made me the most refreshing and pretty drink I have ever had) -an exceptional enviroment with natural outdoor lighting and a breeze -an easy-to-navigate menu where everything is a good pick because it is all delicious ...then Burger U is the place for you. I would recommend to anyone visiting the UCF area!

Great atmosphere on a game day; friendly staff; and the burger tasted excellent. Combine that with a rewards card and BurgerU is one of our favorite stops when we're on campus.
Loved!! Great place on campus to grab a burger and have a few cocktails. Has bar area with outdoor seating for those that like taking in the beautiful Florida weather.
I've been going here since they opened up a few years ago and it's consistentlyy favourite burger joint, not just at UCF, but in the Orlando area. Burgers are always cooked properly and are flavourful and juicy. Recommend the Caprese burger if it's available and the garlic fries.
Love BU! Very friendly staff and delicious food! Their blue fondue burger is the best I've ever had and their sweet potato waffle fries with the marshmallow sauce are to die for.
Got the combo with a burger, fries and drink. For the quality of food and service it is a very fair price. The burger tastes very good and it is cooked to the temperature of your liking.
Best chicken sandwich and all of Orlando. $2.50 yuengling draft as well. Some of the best staff of all the UCF places to eat.
Best spot to grab a drink or bite to eat on UCF campus. Food is always on point. Great wings, burgers and fries. Try a Britt Burger with a Krispy Kreme shake!
Super cool burger shop with a bar. The food is amazing and the bar has a good selection of beer and wine that is sure to please even the most pickiest of pallets. They love Pokemon GO here and they have USB ports at he tables and bars for you to charge your phone! Awesome place!
First visit Did not know what to expect. Got 4oz angus burger with blu cheese crumbles and garlic fries. Burger was cooked perfectly, juicy and tasty. Fries were addicting! Good service, good food. Good family place, offers soft drinks or full bar. Anxious to return!
Burgers are awesome and the price is college friendly. Awesome selection of beer and they have select 2$ drafts everyday.(Bud Light, Yeungling and Coors) I usually go every other week after class as it is a great place to hang out with friends.
Very decently priced, and delicious food! I've tried their Krispy Kreme and cookies and cream milkshakes which are nicely priced as well. You have to try their garlic fries, they're incredibly greasy but in the best way possible. I also like the fact that you can add additional patties to your burger when you order. Their grilled cheese is pretty bomb, too. Great college atmosphere, simple ordering, and I saw the other day that they now serve Beyond meat vegan burgers which is a nice option! Check this place out! I'll be back the next time I'm in the area.
I can’t believe such good food is available on a college campus. Even though they were packed I got my food fast and they didnt let me go 5 minutes without a beer. Great people, great food.
I always go for rugby events. I enjoy it every time! I also rented out a space for my brother's graduation party and they were very accommodating.
Great place with an outdoor seating to relax and have a beer or two. They do have beer specials, currently 3.50 for a Kona draft. Also a good spot to see Cape Canaveral rocket launches in the evening, as it offers unobstructed sky view in that direction.
Good times! Treated us out of town folks welll!!
I love UCF game day at Burger U. It's simple and fun. Music is great. Vibe is great. Bartenders keep things moving and the selection is great.
We always come here before any Cincinnati vs UCF game. It's a fun place to hangout and the food is really good. No one heckles us about being Cincinnati fans, so that's nice too ;)
So surprised to see that they cooked my burger perfectly medium rare. Garlic fries are a must try here. A little expensive for college students but definitely better and the same price as eating at 63 south.
1st time coming did security for the Addition arena. When I tell you this food is amazing. There's no pictures on the menu because they actually take thier time on your food. It looks commercial friendly.
Staff is always great and very friendly; food is consistently not too greasy but still full of flavour; inside or outside eating; open-air in the cooler months; great beer selection; meet with friends or watch the game.
Best burgers in the area cooked to perfection every time. Great beer selection and full bar if one so chooses. My go to when on campus.
Burgers are perfectly cooked, cookies 'n' cream shake is amazing, and the seasoned fries are just right. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall great experience, definitely recommend!
They have the best burgers and tenders. SO GOOD! And I love all the beer selections. Anelisa the bartender is the best and knows all about the different kinds of beer. I will definitely be back.
Parents weekend and BU rocked it. There grill set up is A+. Very easy to get food and drinks. Hats off to bartenders. I didn't may more then a few minutes to get served
If you go on a big game night it's a free for all and good luck! If you go on an average weeknight it's not bad and the selection of on tap beers is really good. They have my favorite, Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA, and it's tough to find in the general Orlando area. The bartender, of course I forgot his name (but you'll know his mustache), was great and funny as hell! Kept our group entertained.
I came to Burger U for dinner with an old professor one evening, and it was right after Spring semester, so it was kind of a ghost town, so there was plenty of seating to choose from, and there were plenty of seat variety, too. Stools, normal chairs, outdoor seating. Anyone's seating preference would be satisfied here. I found a seat, waited, and when my prof showed up, we went up to the counter and ordered. I knew I should have ordered a Burger at Burger U, but the nice girl at the register and I had a conversation, and we ultimately decided that the best option for me that night would be the wings. They come in batches of 10. Sounded good to me. I get my wings half-and-half, five one flavor, five another flavor. Don't ask me what flavors I got, it was way too long ago. But I do remember the wings were very good! Crisp, moist inside, of a decent size. The only criticism I had for the wings was that neither flavor really hit me, because they were undersauced. I understand rising food costs, but wing sauce it not where to cut the budget. Regardless, the flavor was there, and I ate them all without complaints, so I'll take it and give this fun little place that I really enjoyed going to in school a five stars. I'll probably be back under the right situational circumstances.
Customer service and a good meal is the reason groups return... and we will definitely be returning. While planning 5 different meals for 50 people can seem daunting, dealing with people like Candice and Derek makes it so much easier! Though we had planned earlier in the week, we were nervous about how they would handle this large group on a skeleton crew (spring break)... nothing to worry about here! They brought the plates out a few at a time, but very quickly! We scoured the list and handed out plates as they came out and it was super smooth! Afterwards, we sang happy birthday and handed out cupcakes that they had stored for us earlier in the day. Not many locations would do something like that. Not forgetting that the food was delicious and hot!! Highly recommend and with great prices and food, how could you not stop by?? THANK YOU for making our event flawless.
The menu has great options and I chose the Angus Burger with regular fries. I had the burger plain and they delivered it as I wanted in a timely manner. The little wait was overlooked by the well-kept establishment (the bathrooms were also well-kept). The service was extremely pleasant and was easy to work with (English-speaking). The burger was cooked wonderfully and the cheese was melted nicely. The buns tasted great, although the bottom bun did get a little moist which made it feel a little messier but I truly can't complain about anything more. The French fries tasted good and had a nice crisp to them. They were salted well (not too much/little). I also got a water and it wasn't out of the ordinary. Overall I'm full and I'm happy. Great work to the tender and the chef!! I'll be sure to come back soon!
Great place to hangout, get some fries, and drink a few craft beers. Prices are affordable and the staff is always so nice! This place always takes a bit to deliver veggie burgers, but that's my only qualm with it. The rotating beers are always fresh and fantastic. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to a chill, consistent place for an evening hangout.
I have been getting a burger and fries from here since they opened. They have never disappointed me. I also love their drink prices. I had to write a review after receiving my take out order today. I called ahead for 2 burgers and 2 fries to go. It was ready on time. In the bag, they included 2 free cookies and a roll of toilet paper. I will continue supporting this great local business. I highly recommend their burgers and seasoned fries.
Stopped by Burger U after the most recent UCF game. Friendly service, cold beer and a good atmosphere to watch some college football while traffic is letting out.
One of the best dining options on campus, definitely in the top 3 places. Reasonably priced and good food, just wish they were located more centrally on campus closer to more classes. If the parking situation was better, I wouldn’t mind coming here even if I wasn’t on campus for classes.
Located on the campus of the University of Central Florida (UCF). Great food and awesome staff. Gameday experience is a must attend event!
Great spot to get a good burger, fries and milkshake. So many different burger combinations and 4 or 5 french fry options, everything was delicious and affordable. One of my son's favorite spots to eat on campus.
Great time with a large group of friends. Played Kenya while we waited on our food. The food was prompt and as expected, the staff were friendly and helpful when we ordered. Great place to sit down, get some food and relax ok campus.
Great upbeat place to get lunch at UCF. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Even though orders sometimes take a bit of time, the quality that they have makes up for it. Prices are reasonable and they have varying specials as well. Overall, good place to have your fill for lunch!
I like it! Good burger - similar to Five Guys, but with more cheese and toppings options. The Garlic Fries gets them the 5th star! Outstanding! Here before a basketball game. Line has been steady at the door, but food is coming out in a timely manner. I'll be back!
Best place to stop at UCF! Food prices are great, since you can order burgers and sandwiches without fries. The bartender was very helpful and willing to make just about any off-menu drink. Oh, and did I mention everything was delicious!?
I recently came here for the 1st time and someone named Emily assisted me and my 2 friends. They were amazing and I would definitely come back here. The ambiance is so nice and feels like a college bar. I would recommend this to my family and friends to come by burger U.
Excellent staff (Alyssa behind the bar), affordable beer ($2.50/pint) and hot dogs, and a great owner. Looking forward to the next time I visit my brother so I can go again.
We planned a mid-sized happy hour event here. The managers, staff, and bartenders were all extremely helpful and friendly even though it was an already busy Friday night. The food was excellent - we had wings, wraps, and fries - and everyone in our group enjoyed the restaurant. When we ran out of food early, they got us set up with more quicker that I expected. I definitely recommend this as a great spot for lunch (we had some good burgers there too) or happy hour. Outstanding campus bar if you are visiting UCF!
We stop in before attending games and love this place! Just one small request is that you bring nacho cheese back for the pretzel bites specifically but also fries! We have debated bringing our own cheese sauce so we can order the pretzel bites again lol we’ve taken them out of our rotation as we aren’t fans of dipping them in mustard.
I LOVED the Cookies and Cream shake, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like to eat Oreo cookies by themselves! Definitely try the milkshake when you visit.
Has to be one of the best bars in the area incredibly friendly staff excellent management attention to detail is above and beyond always. It’s hard to imagine that a college bar can maintain such high standards.
Solid burgers and good student deals! They also have discounts for campus employees on Mondays and athletics that are great discounts for others on campus. Their shakes are also very good and the Coca-Cola freestyle coke machine is a great addition!

I went to eat here because it was right next to the arena and we were going to see a show later. I didn’t even know this place was here. But I haven’t been on UCF campus in a long time. It’s self service. When you go in you order and pay then they give you a number and you go and sit down somewhere. They have a big bar and you can also sit outside. Inside there is a big projection screen and more TVs. There is a decent amount of seating but it can get packed. Especially after an special event. I got the double burger and fries and a drink. The pricing I thought was reasonable. I like that you can order the burger the way you would want it cooked. I like mine medium rare, and it was good. Fries are okay. I ate there then went to the event and came back after the event for a shake before we went home. The brownie shake was really good. Cookies n cream was good too. I will be back to try something else. Definitely worth a try.
I went here with my friends while I was visiting UCF and it was pretty good. A burger is only $4 but fries are over $2 and based on trying my friends, they were not that good. I did enjoy my burger though considering it was an on campus spot. A ridiculous amount of mustard on my sandwich, but luckily i didn’t mind. I don’t recommend coming here hungry and expecting to fill up on just a burger, you definitely need more like fries or a shake. Staff was nice and no complaints about that. Burger is good for the price but not anything special of a restaurant.
Pretty decent place to eat; just wish they weren't so heavy handed on the salad dressing. This is what I was served after requesting "light dressing".

Had a double with bacon and a KK Shake. The KK Shake is probably better suited for those who subsequently like their cereal extra soggy. The pictures they have on their site don't even present what they plan on making. Like, I understand diced onions and I acknowledge that shredded lettuce is something some burger places do for some odd reason, b u t n e v e r h a v e I e v e r h e a r d o f p u t t i n g D I C E D T O M A T O E S o n a b u r g e r ! ! ! ! Burger patty itself was decent. Maple Bacon was too salty. Buns were soggy and not toasted. Also, this place is convenient for those on campus and/or coming and going from a game, so that's kinda cool. I'd probably only go again if I was part of a group and the majority vote was BurgerU AND if I really felt like hanging out with that said group any longer that day. At the end of the day, it's a poor man's Burgerfi, which also has beer and a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, so there's nothing missed out on. EDIT: I’ve since had better experiences here. And not one of the more recent experiences had diced tomatoes lol. Give the place a try!
I enjoyed it. The food is pretty good, and the atmosphere is equally pleasant. Note: I've only gone when there weren't many other customers inside.
Somewhat expensive, but incredibly tasty burger fare in an area dominated by Aramark's mediocre offerings and lackluster chain restaurants. I really don't know what Burger U's longevity will be like as its location near Knights Plaza on UCF property is known to be a meat grinder for restaurant businesses. Unlike the previous tenant, Tailgater's, Burger U has some truly impressive offerings. Their burgers easily rival nearby specialty burger joints like Five Guys and Burger 21, and as a UCF employee you can't beat the convenience. That said, their prices are high enough that the restaurant is rarely - if ever - packed with students. If you happen to be on that side of campus and are willing to drop $6+ on a burger, I'd highly recommend it. Be sure to order the garlic fries too.
This is your typical College burger joint on the UCF campus. I had a seat at the bar and ordered a special cheeseburger that was made up to be like a Philly cheese steak. The burger itself was tasty although not cooked to the temperature that I asked. The bartender was extremely friendly and attentive. I also noticed that they had some really great drink prices which does not surprise me coming from a college Bar and Grill. If you find yourself out of the UCF campus, close to the Arena this would not be a bad choice for lunch.
BU Margarita was delicious...and fairly healthy too! I had the grilled chicken sandwich which was served on toasted sourdough bread. Really enjoyed it. The chicken could have been marinated a bit more, but all the flavors were good. Is have it again.
Really enjoyed eating here as a first time visit. There was an event happening at Addition Arena so I ate here just prior. Large crowd but staff was very efficient in getting orders taken and food served. Would definitely come back
Always enjoy this spot while visiting UCF. Beers are cold and staff is friendly. My only complaint is it can get too busy and service times are very slow. If it packed we pass.
fries were small amount and not the best.. but chicken was perfect ♡
Had a milkshake with friends. It was really good. The cup was a wee bit small but my waist appreciated it ☺️. It's pretty expensive but would probably grab a shake again next time I'm over there with friends. The fries look a little suspect but haven't tried them; one friend got an order of fries to go so they must be pretty good. 8/10 (mmmmm craving a milkshake now)
The burgers are fine, nothing too crazy for the price. Comparable to a more spiced but thin whopper. Overall was a fine meal, especially since the fries are really good and the staff are hospitable and nice. They have a fun alcohol wheel game too!
Food is always good! Definitely a UCF staple. Drink machine was down by other than that, food was great!
The wings was freshly cook (grilled) and they tasted so good. My only bad thing to say is that they didn't have any Ranch dressing on a Saturday at lunch hour. That's why they got a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating. You can't drop the ball on something like that.
First off, the burger was excellent, but when you pay three bucks for food, they ought to be hot and good. The shakes are really small as well, but at least they were delicious. The food didn't come out all at once. The atmosphere is great. There's a drink mix machine like at Five Guys and Burger Fi. This place is better than Five Guys but not as good as Burger Fi.
I was here with a group of people before a UCF football game, and it was pretty chaotic. I have eaten here before and thought the food was decent, but during the football game, it was not great. Everything was precooked and sitting out waiting, so nothing was fresh and nothing was as good as it usually is. It was also quite difficult to get a drink at the bar with how busy it was. I would come back, but I would avoid this place on a game day.

Excellent service, excellent food and drinks Highly recommend for anyone in the UCF area, it's better than the competition hands down. Edit-April2024 The past two years have not been kind to this place. Mismanagement has made some DUBIOS decisions regarding the place. Food is far more expensive for less quality, even taking inflation into account. I don’t know what happened, but it seems like the goal is to not provide a place to recommend, but a place to squeeze every last drop of money out of a dwindling loyalty and newcomer base. For example, what happened to the ketchup bottles? They literally have PACKETS of ketchup instead of bottles, like any other normal burger restaurant and it was another of managements brilliant decision making. Way to run a profitable and joyous business into the ground. The staff was great though. Food was mid, at best. Edit March 2025 They have ketchup bottles now and the BU tap is $2.5 a glass ands it’s good. Food is still to expensive though.
First time having Burger U. The fries were stale for starters, and my burger was not cooked to the temperature I requested, and the milkshake was malted by the time it got to me because my DoorDash took forever. I’ve heard it’s much better in person so I will be giving it another chance.
It's okay, you do get a good amount of fixings to add to your burger at no extra cost, unless you wanted cheese, which is extra. From the couple of times I've been at both here and burgerfi, I can safely say that burgerfi has both the better value when it comes to fries, while the burgers are more or less the same at both places. I thinks this is a bit of a shame those, because while burgerfi gives you several unique choices, Burger U isn't all that special in comparison; the only edge they seem to have is that it's on campus. I think this is a bit of a shame, because Burger U isn't terrible, it's just average; what it needs is a few permanent additions that are unique to them, and make a better tasting burger of course. It also wouldn't hurt to be a little competitive either; $13 for a burger, fries, and a drink is a little pricey when you can pay around $8 at steak n' shake and get a better burger, fries, and a fantastic shake. And I do know they have specials, but that really isn't going to change the base burger, which I believe most people probably get anyways.

Service is always hit or miss, today the service was nice. Food is decent but regardless of what I order I always have garlic breath after. I use to eat the burgers but have recently switched to their caesar salad.
I guess you have to be a college kid to appreciate the food. This prices are high for no reason.
Conveniently placed across the street while I stood in a long line for a concert. So I placed an online order for a grill cheese sandwich with mushrooms and homemade chips. These guess weren't very busy so they got right on it. Didn't have to wait long at all. I was kinda disappointed that they used canned mushrooms. I can tell because of how chewy they were. But I was hungry. So I ate every crumb!! The chips were warm and crispy!! But they lacked seasoning. Not even a bit of sale or anything. The hunger factor took over on those also!
Had a Longgggg wait , then two burgers our and still waited (over 30 min) for the fish burger. Food is ok , when it finally arrives. And the place wasn’t even crowded. The prices seem good, but it’s a place that lives off the add-ons and extras. Beware
Way too long a wait for food , almost 1 hour twice now , I can't wait one hour for a hamburger , I couldn't eat it because my lunch break was over by the time I received it. I would not recommend it if you plan on eating during your lunch break.
Service is always good. Burgers are not great but really average. Atmosphere is friendly.
Pretty good, but a little pricey for meat kept in a freezer, and for a restaurant on a college campus. My wife and I both ordered double cheese burgers and they were good, but you can tell they aren't fresh ground beef, and for their price, they should be. I'd rather pay a couple bucks more for 5 Guys.
If you're reading this, you searched google and let me begin by telling you, this is should not be listed as a single $. This place was $80 for four extremely small entrees, 2 fries, and 2 drinks... As far as the food- after about 30 minutes, my daughter had grilled chicken wings, which the hostess/cashier oversold as the "best in the state". Nope, try Gators Dockside. These wings were small and dry. My son had chicken fingers, which consisted of 5 thin, grilled chicken strips the size of 4 McDonalds chicken nuggets. (**using McDonald's as an universal size reference, as most of us have had Mickey D's at one point in our lives). My husband and I each ordered blackened mahi sandwiches. The fish fillet was the size of 1.5 chicken nuggets. and had mild flavoring. My husband had the mango aioli, which he says "saved the sandwich". Everything is ala-carte, so we shared 2 seasoned fries, each were about the size of a McDonald's small fry- they were sparingly seasoned with salt and pepper. (We were expecting curly fry seasoning). Drinks were expensive. We shared 2 between 4 people, but there was the option of unlimited refills. The thing that stood out to me the most, was that we were there on a Saturday afternoon, around 2:30pm. The place had tons of TVs on: typical sports bar on a university, not a game day. Just a few groups of customers. BUT there were about 5 OLD men (age: 70s-80s) saddled up to the bar. They were obviously regulars, and they were flirting with a group of day-drinking, girls, buying them shots and pitchers. EW! It was gross. The men were obviously not students. They were not families visiting their students. There was definite cringe-worthy effort happening, to get these girls wasted. I understand that a bar is a bar, and management wants to sell drinks, but these old men give off serious predator vibes, and should be told to find another local pub.
This place is awesome…if you dine in. Do not bother ordering to go or food delivery service, they habitually do not prepare the food correctly. Modification? Denied. I keep giving them chances because the food is awesome whenever I go in person but each time I order, I am disappointed to find my food burnt, flavorless or missing items. I will never order pick up or delivery again.
I ordered chicken tenders and almost all of them were burnt. Quite a few of them were missing chunks of breading too. They were extra burnt near those areas. Super small too. I probably should have known better than to order tenders from a burger place, but for 8.99 (price of the tenders alone) I thought they’d be better. They looked horrible and burnt, so I’m not sure why they even decided to serve those. The house salad was a pretty good size for the price, so I’d recommend that. I also ordered a cookie which was fairly big, but it was dry and hard.
food is good and all. But i have one experience that i truly cant forgive. Breaded chicken tenders + chicken salad is around 12-13 i suppose, then i don't know why they charge me almost 19$ according to bank transaction. I was about to ask, is there any extra things in there. And then this one girl brought the food out told me that there are fries in there too. Then guess what? No fires! She just lied to me for some reason just to make me go away. Be honest and if it is a false charging I wouldn't care less.
Cons: - Burger was so greasy that the bottom bun was wet. I could only imagine how much fat their patties contain for them to ooze grease. They serve the burger in aluminum wrapping most likely to contain all the grease. Disgusting. If this was a $2 burger I could understand the poor quality, but this burger was around $7. - Fries seemed like something from a restaurant food depot, not unique at all. Pros: - The restaurant has lots of seating, and the bar seemed large with lots of seating. - The Coca-Cola freestyle machine was nice as well. Advice to Management: Either lower your prices to adequately match the horrible quality of your burger, or simply improve the burger. A GOOD burger should not be greasy.
really good burgers but a server mixed our order with another table and they started eating my fries- and i got their order. when another waiter noticed they just took both the food items back to the kitchen and then like 5mins later gave us back the same food the other table had already touched- the fries were also cold at that point :(
Terrible. I ordered wings and they were extremely burnt and definitely overcooked. I had to drive back to the restaurant to return this. They acted like it happens all the time or they don’t know what’s wrong with the order and didn’t try to compensate with something. On top of that they tried to justify why it’s burnt. My question is how the kitchen served this visibly burnt wings!! Now they gave me wings that are not burnt anymore. But I asked for Ranch on the side and they gave me blue cheese sauce, one of the few sauces I never liked. Btw it’s not completely true that I didn’t get compensated for this inconvenience. I got chicken feathers on the wings the second time. Absolutely disgusting and disappointing. Waste of money and time. Never going back there. Should have taken the refund after the first incident. I have doubts about their health codes practices.

Terrible service! I ordered door dash, they confirmed the order then an hour later I get a call it's been cancelled because they are not doing door dash at the moment. They took my order, confirmed it and waited an hour before they cancelled. So I'm left starving with a toddler waiting for her fries and burger!! Shame on you all!!
Wings were terrible. Spicy buffalo sauce was more like a mild-medium buffalo sauce. Wings had lots of fat on them, and the amount of sauce on the wings was pitiful. Asking for more sauce resulted in an upcharge. This is my second time through and the experience was identical my first time through.
Worst service ever, 4 people in our group, 2 people got 1/2 their meal after 20 mins. Other 2 people never got their meal. After complaining we were told there was a mixup with our order because our number 66 looked like another number????? Don’t go there when it’s busy. You will never get your food!
My first time here as I was advised by friends to try it. The quality was really bad.. garlic fries were small for $3.69 and very very oily. 4 tiny tenders for $7.99 and they charge for a side of Buffalo sauce $.79! I paid $21 with some change in total and it feels more like a rip off for such quality. Won’t come here again, at least I can say I tried it and I wish I didn’t.
It uses to be good, now, its edible at best. Edit to respond to the comment of the resturant. We ordered fries and burger, the fries was the same quality of a three days old microwaved fries, oily, and soggy. The burger bun, was flat bad. Its quality is walmart off the shelf old ones. Nothing more, not even heat touched them. The beef patties, on the other hand, were my reason why i liked the resturant in the past. Now, it is just slightly better than Mcdonalds, no more. Maybe it was a bad experience, but surely unpleasant one.
I don’t often review for anything however, after today I can honestly say I will not be returning. As a student with dietary restrictions, I cannot eat red meat and have been to Burger U often because I enjoy their chicken sandwiches. On this day in particular, I noticed that one of their specials offered a Caprese burger and it sounded amazing and I asked for that, except inquired about opting out of the burger to replace it with a chicken breast. What came next was absolutely horrendous because the nice lady at the cashier did not know if she could make the simple switch and asked the cashier next to her before going to the back to ask, yet again. Five minutes passed and another lady came and informed me that it would be a $2 up charge on a sandwich that was /already/ $9.99. That didn’t seem right and I expressed that, to which the manager came out. By this time I had already given up on the caprese because paying $13 for a chicken sandwich is absolutely ridiculous for a University establishment. The manager was rude and explained gruffly that one farm animal costs more than the other when all I wanted to do was replace a burger with chicken. By the time the manager had come out, I was in tears. It then took 20 more minutes for my sandwich to come out. I will not be returning because this whole experience was humiliating.
Totally unorganized! It wasn't even busy and the service was still horrible! Waste of money and waste of time! I won't make that mistake again!
Never are open at their posted times. Close way too early. Don’t bother.
Waited 40 mins for a black bean burger and 45 for a single cheeseburger. One served with cool fries the other completely cold. Regular burger was okay a little burnt. Black bean burger one of the worst veggie burgers I've had at a mid range burger place. Very disappointing. No apology for the slow service. Several tables of people arrived after us and got served well before.
Waited an hour for food we ordered.
Went here for the first time today and didn’t really have a pleasant experience. For starters, in the middle of me ordering my food, the cashier answers the phone and starts taking the order of the person over the phone as if they were more important. I found that very rude and inconsiderate. She could of easily told them to hold and finished taking my order being that I was there first then take the phone order. Then to make matters worse, there was a hair in my burger. I gave it to her and asked for another one. She was very nonchalant about it as if it happens all the time. No one apologized or even tried to accommodate me in another way. The burger was mediocre and it’s very tiny for the price. Don’t really care to come here again.
Regularly serves me the wrong order. Food is too high of a price for what I'm given. I could get a better burger at McDonald's.
I ate here for a school function last Wednesday and right off the bat, I was not thrilled. You must ask for assistance while ordering from the kiosk, because it’s complicated. Then it took 20 mins for the burger to arrive at the table and even though our party of 10 ordered at the same time, one burger came out at a time for the next 20 mins. The burgers were just horrible. (And I eat fast food weekly, which says something). The burger didn’t even come close to the 12 am Taco Bell tacos I had a week prior. Let’s start off with the bread, which was completely stale. The meat was dry and tasteless. The cheese wasn’t even melted and felt like an afterthought tossed on at the last second. The tomato and lettuce were wilted and even though I stated no pickle, yup, it came with a pickle which was mushy. Half of the drinks in the machine were out of service and when I informed the cashier, I assumed she would look interested, but instead she merely looked down at her hands and replied, “uh huh…ok”. She never addressed the issue. To say the least, it was the worst food and service I’ve had in decades. Oh, and let’s not forget about the industrial ceiling which was avidly leaking water so the establishment had a large bucket sitting in the middle of the restaurant. There was water on the floor next to the bucket and someone nearly slipped. Hazard! So, honestly, don’t eat here.
The food order took too long. I ordered at 1:30 PM, and it has not yet arrived; it is now 2:45PM. How much longer will it take?
