Food was FANTASTIC. Negative, our table was jammed against the wall. No room to walk behind fellow diners, or even to push back and be comfortable. Polite service but non attentive. Winter, so canal view not as engaging as during the warmer months.
The place was very nice inside and the waitress was very friendly. The food service was a little slow but the tomahawk ribeye was delicious. Prices were kinda steep, think I paid $14 for the shrimp cocktail and only got 3 jumbo shrimp. The apple crust dessert was phenomenal.
Great food, nice atmosphere. We were there for NYE and the Veal Scarmado was amazing. So much flavor, the cook really knows how to put flavors together. Greens are different, a little wet with a crunch, a very cool spin on Utica Greens. Highly recommend this place!
This place was amazing! Our server, Michael, was one of the best servers I have ever had! Before we even walked in the place he smiled and greeted us not knowing he was going to be our server. The food was super good! Very fresh and authentic, top notch! I search for places like this wherever we go and am completely satisfied and highly recommend to all!! I hope the owner realizes what Michael brings to this establishment.
Had dinner here for the first time ever, I will be back! Food is fantastic & service was just as good! If you’re in the area, this place needs to be on your list 💯
Easter menu was awesome! There were 6 of us and there was more than enough food to go around, also plenty to take home after. Every meal was great. Definitely no complaints here and our compliments to each and everyone of the staff.
Just celebrated my sisters bridal shower at Aqua Vino. The atmosphere was amazing, and everything was perfect. Trish especially went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. She was extremely attentive and ensured we as guests came first and that every one of our needs were met without question. She was a wonderful asset to an already amazing party. My only wish was that she had a more accommodating staff to work with her, as her additional staff was not as amazing. He was not only cold to us, but didn’t seem to take direction well from her, guests, or anyone for that matter and was not very friendly by any means. Food was amazing, the price was reasonable, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! Overall 5 ⭐️’s for sure!! Thank you Aqua Vino, especially Trish for making my little sisters day so perfect!
We had a party of about 40 people downstairs today and it was wonderful! We are from out of town and needed to plan a party for family. Trish made everything super easy and simple. The place was beautiful and the food was delicious. Everyone was raving about the mimosa bar and wine punch! 10/10 recommend!
Brunch after a wedding. Theme was a combination of Utica specific Italian dishes, including Chicken Riggies and Utica Greens. Both were amazing, as was the service. We were given a group of tables in a corner, and the food was set out in a separate area close by, making it easy for members of our party to serve themselves. Cost was about $25/person when it was all said and done.
Went to celebrate my granddaughters graduation. Our server was very efficient and personable. Food was good and we were given a special dessert for her graduation. It was a fun time.
The food here was terrific!!! I ordered the french onion chicken with a side of the carrots. It was one of the most tasty meals I have ever had.
Beautiful place for romantic evenings..We love the food and service..We will come again.❤️
Dont miss this restaurant. Great food, good wine list, friendly and efficient servers(TRISH is a delight) the atmosphere on the canal sets the mood for a relaxing food treat. We especially like their greens and fish specials. Never been disappointed! Our go to eatery when in Town! A Utica treasure!
What a pleasant surprise… we just had an excellent experience at Aqua Vino… the service and meal was exceptional! The owner even sat down with us and got to know us and our dog a little stirring out by the canal… I will be back anytime in this area. A must visit.
I'm here in the area for a few days! (Work related) and never been to Hartford, NY...and I want to say Tuesday night at this place was a blast...the bartender Lisa was awesome. I would definitely comeback!!!
I held my daughters baby shower there today and no area was lacking in any way. The food was excellent-my guests raved-the tables looked gorgeous-and the service was exceptional. I would be remiss to not mention Tricia who sat with us planned it out and fielded all my calls in the days before-she handled every detail we asked for and was there when we arrived to set up our personal goodies and could not have been more helpful. My daughter asked for this location and now I know why!!!
We went there to celebrate a friend's retirement. It was an amazing time. Our server was friendly but not over bearing, not intrusive as some can be. The menu is top notch. All of use could have made dinner from the appetizer list. Enters were prepared to perfection. We didn't finish them because the desserts had to be tried! They did not disappoint. We are from Albany but will drive to Utica just to enjoy Aqua Vino again.
Our first time and we couldn't be happier. The service was excellent along with the beautiful atmosphere. The menu was just the right size, not too big nor too small. Great tasting and quality food as well. Highly recommend!
Very nice place. Food was good. I had a French dip. Horse radish sauce was excellent. Portion size was nice. All around a very nice spot, with good food.
We celebrated 3 birthdays and a retirement here. Our waiter was amazing and the food is always great here. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Then three complimentary ice cream dishes were brought to the birthday three, and my other son and I ordered our own desserts. They were yummy. This place is consistently good.
Visited here yesterday, which was a Thursday afternoon and I must say we were all very impressed. The place was very quiet with hardly any other people, but we prefer it that way. The waitress was very polite and gave us a run-down of the specials. The food was absolutely amazing, we had the lunch menu and we were very satisfied with the quality. Between the four of us we ordered two turkey paninis, a Vino burger and a meatball sub along with 2 servings of French onion soup. My husband and I both agreed that the French onion soup was the best we had ever had dining out, a very generous serving and amazing flavour. All our dishes were flavourful and very filling with a decent portion size. We are definitely coming back, it was our first time in New Hartford, drove from Rome, well worth the trip.
I am part of an association and we recently held a social for our members at Aqua Vino. Aqua Vino did an amazing job. They were very responsive and helpful in coordinating the event. The restaurant is beautiful and provided a great atmosphere for our event. Our group loved the food and the service was great. The staff was very attentive and did a great job serving our party. Thank you for the wonderful event! I will definitely be visiting Aqua Vino again!
This was our first night in this area & first dinner. It was wonderful! The food & service were fantastic. Lauren was so accommodating & friendly. The whole experience was a true delight & Lauren was a huge part. Thank you!
The wait staff was excellent. Very caring and there to help. The food was more than excellent. Very happy with everything. We are definitely going back.
Came here for dinner, had the Tomahawk steak, so good. Got Calamari for an app, the sauce was good, would have liked for the calamari to be a bit more crispier. Also would rather have had a syrup dip for the sweet potato fries and not Ketchup.
Had a special, steak tenderloin marsala with some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. Everything was SO good. The bread was delicious as well and great friendly service. Going back and bringing friends!
My son and I decided to try out Aqua Vino today and it was excellent. Our server was so nice, but not hovering, and treated us like family. I had the steak salad and my son had the riggies, and both were fresh and delicious! We will definitely be visiting again.
This place is so pretty inside and out. The food was outstanding and our waiter was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is so nice. Dim lighting, candles at the table and soft quiet music. Very inviting. We will definitely be back.
Trisha our server was awesome! She great help! Appetizer was delish. Crab and shrimp bisque nice with crab cake on the side. Huge portions! They were so accommodating to our big group who had several dietary restrictions. Thank you!
From the moment you enter Aqua Vino you feel so welcomed. The service staff easily earns 10+ stars. The waitress we had was Trish. What an amazing server she was. Attentive to every need at our table and every detail to every part of our service. Trish gets 10+ stars easily! The food is the absolute best food in this entire area and I've been to many restaurants, but this is high above any of them. Every part of our meal from the salad, the entrees and the sides were flavorful, and the presentation of every part of the meal looked absolutely delicious. Once you took a bite of any part of the meal, it was incredible tastes. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. If you do not go and try this wonderful dining experience, you are missing out, even cheating yourself of an amazing dining experience
I’ve been several times for lunch, but was blown away by their dinner options. Classic dishes with perfect execution. The wine suggestion for my meal was spot on! A great time…
Arrived with my mother and niece without a reservation on a Friday evening. They were accommodating and sat us with no issue. The bread dip and calamari appetizer were perfect. Served hot and delicious. Wait staff described specials so well I changed my mind and was able to enjoy the best porkchop and mashed potatoes I've ever had. Thanks
So b day very friendly staff :) price is wayyy up there but ok for kind of restaurant :) as expected... food is ok but not presented in good quality :) like the chicken something came with a plate with melted cheese burned over red sauce no chicken in sight looked like a plate with leftovers to throw out... The other meal wasnt bad included a pic but the steak on stick when you say steak its salt pepper nothing else steak is not meant to flavor like chinese food spicy sweet bitter vinegar what ever that was its not that kind of restaurant i think as the other meals were same mistake ? noone ate ...Maybe change to chinese restaurant or upgrade seasoning as a high quality restaurant as this is one of best in our area... Out of 14 meals 2 were good rest were bitter flavored meat?!?!?! And the drink i had lavendar mix i am allergic to lavendar so they took out that part but drink was fantastic with the rest of the mix .... And a bill 700$ needs aloooot more... And another b day just added this time brunch 14 ppl and same story.... added pics ... Food is not just for looks it needs seasoning....If you want loyal customers... And not just one visit and never again...
Went with ol lady. Sat at bar had a couple drinks and some dinner. Our bartender was great. Nice and quiet for a sat night. I got the riggies they were awesome. Idno what old girl got but the pasta was bomb. Finished it off with the limonchello cake. Wow amazing. I'll go back off sure. Dont sleep on these guys....
this is a review for the new location. The inside was well thought out and very clean looking. It also has outside dining but you're basically looking at a parking lot. They have an amazing-wine list if you like wine with standard mark up. If you bring your own a $20 corkage fee. That is a great deal. We had the scallop special, then just sampled appetizers and sides. Meatballs A, Tuna Tartare B, Asparagus and hollandaise B, broccoli A. Candied Brussel sprouts A. The butter and bread they bring out is the best, the butter is amazingly flavored. I would suggest to sit at a high table in the bar area. The tables are great and it's a little quieter. This is a great place to enjoy a dinner at.
Amazing meal and excellent service. I had the Penne Santorini and it was so good. Topped it off with the Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart which was perfect. Such an amazing place. Last time I got the special seafood pasta and went for the seafood first but the pasta it was on blew me away. Definitely will be back.
A friend took me here for helping her out! The menu was quite small but the service was excellent! My friend had the salmon and said it was excellent! Came with a vegetable! Potatoes were at extra cost! I had steak riggies! The riggies were good but the steak was very fatty. Dessert was excellent! Drinks were good!
We ate on the patio overlooking the water. It was very pretty! I had the Chicken Francaise, which was good! My friend ordered a seafood dish, which she said was ok. She also ordered the Fruit Torta for dessert, which she enjoyed. The ambiance was great, the food was good, the service was slow. But overall we enjoyed our meal!
French onion soup was bland Chicken Ceasar salad was very good but no cracked pepper Waiter was good but we noticed that most of the restaurants in this area do not ask if we would like refills of our drinks. Why?
This place was nice. You can wear a nice outfit, or jeans and a nice shirt. The food is amazing, wine is good. Liquor cocktails are left a bit wanting. Finding the actual restaurant is difficult as the sign is small, at the corner of the building, pointing down some stairs. The evening didn't start out well, but we were very happy in all by the end. I would recommend trying this place for sure.
Aqua Vino – New Hartford, NY Aqua Vino offers a dining experience that strikes a beautiful balance between upscale cuisine and warm hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a kind and attentive staff who maintained a high standard of service throughout our visit. The restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere carried a distinct high-end feel—elegant without being pretentious. It’s clear that cleanliness and professionalism are priorities here, which immediately set the tone for a positive evening. The food was exceptional. My husband ordered his usual—chicken parmesan—and it was executed flawlessly: tender, flavorful, and generously portioned. I had the pork saltimbocca, which was beautifully prepared, layered with flavor, and rich without being heavy. Every bite showcased attention to quality and technique. We were also impressed by Aqua Vino’s well-curated wine selection, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The portion sizes were generous, adding value to what already felt like a memorable dining experience. The price point of around $30 per person felt entirely appropriate given the quality of the food, the attentiveness of the service, and the overall atmosphere. If I had one small critique, it would be the holiday decorations. While seasonal decor is always appreciated, the placement and style felt a bit scattered—almost as if they were added as an afterthought. The decor leaned more toward a casual, rustic theme—something you'd expect at a Texas Roadhouse—while everything else about the restaurant exuded refinement and cohesion. It's a minor note, but one worth mentioning, as it was a slight mismatch to the otherwise polished presentation. Aqua Vino is a gem in New Hartford—a place where high-quality cuisine, generous portions, and gracious service come together in a clean and welcoming environment. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner, simply wonderful!
Nice place, spicy food, but tasty. Nice outdoor patio padio by the water. Graduation Party $25.00 a plate for a Buffet. (Chicken regies, Meatballs, Chicken parm, Seasoned potatoes, Bread-and-butter rolls, And garden salad - that's all of it) Very pricey, Over - All, great experience.
Nice restaurant, the drinks were not good.. my wife and sister in law had an orange pina colada and another apple type of drink, I guess they’re wines must be better than the cocktails, the bread they serve is okay but would be better if they had olive oil options with the bread instead of the super small butter, the main entree’s was the best part.. we had the filet mignon with risotto (the risotto was GREAT) and the salmon which my wife loved, the desserts were okay, my chocolate lava cake was boring to be honest there was no filling inside of it and the ice cream was the best part but my wife loved her tiramisu and my sister in law LOVED the lemon cake dessert she had, for 3 people was over $200 including tip, the waiter did a good job, in an overall the restaurant is good but not great.
Leaving this comment to further comment on the one Nina left from last Sat night. I was going to take time out to post a negative review, but as a server myself, I am well aware that a Restaurant as a whole shouldnt be tainted by a negative experience with a server. I thought the food was EXCELLENT. I had the Chicken Riggies. Very good! My partners chicken francaise was a little bland and chicken could have been a little pounded down a bit/ flattened to be a little less thick. Would love to try another couple of dishes. And the bread is to die for- what ever is in that butter lol I wont go onto fully name our server... "T" (lol) She could be a great person in general but service was horrible. The place was fairly slow- maybe 4 tables of guests in our dining area. We sat there for 45 minutes (literally) before she came back to ask us what we would like to order for out main entree's. My wife had a question about a side (some crusted broccoli with a sort of cheese- just wanted a better description) and she was pretty short with almost a rude tone that we asked about it. Then brought us that side which we didnt order (mistakes happen. Thats fine). Another guest nearby dropped a plate or a drink- and I think thats what probably bothers me more than anything- it was pretty loud and she was embarassed, laughing it off a little bit but youd think someone would have come over to help them clean their table and check in on if they were ok, needed refills etc and/or to reassure that everything was "all good". Pretty sure they had the same server. No one at all came over to them for the longest time. We didnt see the server again for a long while so we stopped a hostess or busser girl and asked for info about deserts, which she kindly brought to us. "T" came back- never actually asked us if we wanted anything further, deserts, refills, coffee... but then brought us someone elses check. Blamed the kitchen for being busy but it clearly wasnt busy at the time that we were there. Just really disappointing in the service itself. Just got back from a nice dinner out at Olive Garden and the girl was super friendly, and genuine and attentive. It really makes a difference the kind of energy that holds up an establishment... especially front of house. But it is a beautiful atmosphere and loved the fresh roses on the tables to get the mood. Cozy and relaxing and otherwise very nice ♡
A very nice meal for sure! This is the first time I've been to the new location. The place is very clean and tidy and just a very nice dining atmosphere. It's dark, and I don't mind... every table will feel private and cozy. Our server, Marcus was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. He made sure to check in with us without being over-attentive. For me, a good server is 50% of the dining experience, and Marcus was excellent. His support staff cleared items promptly and were also very friendly. It appears to have a well-trained staff, which one should never underestimate! The other 50% for me is obviously the food. We started with soups. Mine, the Seafood Crab Bisque, and my wife had the French Onion. Both were served hot (very important!), and both were tasty. My only minor criticism would be that the bisque lacked some salt, but again, very delicious soup...and the bisque comes with a crab cake! It's the perfect starter for me...served with the soups was a crusty hot loaf of bread...delicious with the slightly sweet (honey, maybe?) butter. The entrées were equally as good. I had the French Onion Chicken, and the wife had the riggies. The riggie sauce was a little thin, but my wife said they were very flavorful...and she's picky about her riggies. The only real legit criticism I have is the portion(s) are a bit skimpy for the price, IMO... the French Onion Chicken with a side of pasta (which I substituted for mashed potatoes) is 29 bucks...house glass of Moscato was 10...not a huge deal, but I'm being honest in my opinion. So overall, it seems like Aqua Vino has settled into their new home nicely, and the quality of the food has not diminished at all.
Previous location was 1 of my favorites and I always loved their food, the service is always great. 1st time going to the new location and wasn't impressed. They removed my favorite side off of the menu, with pan fried potatoes & peppers, but luckily I was still able to order it. However most of it was pretty much burnt and our well done steaks were completely pink/reddish. Service was ok, not what I'm used to from Aquavino's though.
Arrived Friday evening at 4:45 pm, I was told that I should sit at the bar because I didn't have reservations for a table, (the bar seats were not 6 feet apart and their was no hand sanitizer available for customers). Their were only 2 tables inside with people at them, entire outdoor area had no customers. So I asked are all of the reservations for 5 pm? Oh no, we found you a table outside, that isn't reserved until 7. OK. The bread plate that was left at the table for me was dirty, looked like instead of running it through the dishwasher someone just wiped it with a rag, so I asked for a clean one, no problem. They bring the water carafe over and their was pasta sauce stuck to the side of it in several areas, gross. I didn't say anything. Took a while for a waitress to come over, in fact after I was seated another couple were seated next to me and a waitress went to them 1st. Again, I didn't say anything. Ordered cocktail and entree. She brought over nice hot fresh bread and butter. The meal was good, shrimp, clams, mushrooms over linguine.
We have been to the one on the canal several times for dinner, expensive but worth it, so we thought we would try the new location for lunch. The staff was friendly, beautiful interior renovation, ordered lobster bisque, excellent and priced fairly. Also ordered chickorina soup, I think someone dropped the salt shaker in the pot, so salty we had to send it back. The waitress was okay with that and was very apologetic. The Reuben was just okay, the turkey wrap was also just okay; we thought lunch was just okay, nothing special, we probably won’t go back for lunch.
We enjoyed our meals! I would avoid if you have a seafood allergy, the smell of seafood is strong! Husband really enjoyed his steak and the French onion soup was great! On the pricier side and we waited a long time to get our bill at the end despite the restaurant being mostly empty on a Friday night.
Ordered the Pork Marsala and it was served with a side of linguine with bolognese sauce on it. Why would it come with 2 different sauces that's don't compliment each other?
My family and I attended the dinner service and had expectations of fine food with an upscale atmosphere after browsing the menu online. As the dinning room was clean, it didnt bring much uniqueness and gave the essence of an outdated steakhouse. Our server was nice and had a good appearance, she only lacked when it came to serving the table. She attempted to set our dinner plates on a table full of empty appetizer plates which was awkward especially when our dinners took 25 minutes after the appetizer was no longer being consumed. We had calamari for an appetizer, and as it was consumable it was not delicious. The dipping sauce seemed to be mayonnaise with ketchup and some pepper flakes and lacked flavor. My wife had a seafood bisque with a crab cake and she stated the bisque was very greasy and upset her stomach. I had the chicken parmesan which was a very large portion but not as flavorfull as I expected. I also ordered the truffle fries which had good garlic flavor and parmesan but the truffle flavor was lost and for 12 dollars it was the most expensive fries I have ever purchased. The other dishes were pasta with a meatball and the portions were large but the meatball was hard. It seems to me the high menu prices are explained by large portions and not unique, flavorful, food. Maybe someday I will give them a second chance and try some different menu items but it will be a while as there are many more places to try.
I have been for lunch a number of times and the salads and sandwiches are very good. I went for dinner with my two sons and all the pasta we ordered was overcooked. The portions are fair. The taste was okay, but not great. The mushy, overcooked pasta ruined the dinners.
The Tomahawk steak itself was super delicious. It was cooked medium as I ordered. It had a fantastic crust on it. The rack of lamb my wife had was great. The mashed potatoes that came with the steak were gummy and not anything that great. The parmesan risotto that came with the lamb was excellent. It was a busy Saturday evening but service was slow and inattentive. I asked for a soda refill while eating my entree and never received it.
Food was good, but they were short on people, we waited for our food almost an hour.
I had a decent time here, but not a great enough one to want to come back. It was quiet when I arrived and I see why. The Wait staff were amazing and attentive and their personality shines above the rest, but the food isn’t anything to brag about. I could get some of the same stuff anywhere. I love seafood, but being further from the sea, I question the validity of the quality. It’s essentially another expensive restaurant to feel fancy at. It’s not my vibe, but I heard they have good drinks, I don’t drink like that though so I’m unsure. If you want to spend lots of money, this is the spot.
Figured we’d give this place a shot and probably won’t be coming back. My 18oz rack of lamb had about 8oz of edible meat, only half of which was medium rare. The other half was over medium. For $45, I had higher expectations. My partner’s salmon was over-charred. The lobster bisque was good. Our meal came to a little over $100 with one app and waters.
Bad service. Food was disappointing. Waited over 10 minutes to even have a server approach. No water for the table. Had to go to the hostess station to find out if we were even covered. Atmosphere was nice but the experience was ultimately less than positive
So disappointed! Took my daughter for lunch. I got the onion soup and she got the seafood bisque to start. No flavor at all. We then ordered a Beretta and tomato salad. 4 slices of unripe tomatoes, and literally a strip of balsamic on the plate, none on the salad. I was asked by a waitstaff how it was, and I told him I would really like some more balsamic. Well, that was the end of that conversation. He just walked away. Ok, now.we each got.a sandwich. They were average. The best part of the whole meal was the sweet potato fries. The waitress never checked to see if our drinks needed to be refilled. When we finally got her attention (no, it was not busy) and asked for to go containers, it took at least 10 minutes. She gave me the check and was going to walk away, but I wouldn't let her. I gave her my card immediately so we could leave. And $100 for lunch was crazy!!!!Too many other good places to eat out there. No return visit for us!
Big disappointment - way over priced, undersized portions, over cooked, burnt, and just as bad tasting sauces to cover up poor flavors of all dishes. When we mentioned the extremely small size of the portion of fish for $44, the response was “we are not really known for seafood”. Waitstaff generally nice. Desserts were good, but guessing they were outsourced. I highly doubt restaurant will survive if something does not change. Recommendation: Fire the cook, fire the manager and start again.
Dinner was good, not amazing. Service was good. If your closing time is 9:00, don’t start clearing an active table and vacuuming until 9:00. Otherwise change your closing time. Also, keep lights on upstairs. We got off the elevator to complete blackness inside on the upper floor. It was 8:58 pm. Not impressed and will never go back.
Came to dinner on a Saturday night. It wasn't horribly busy and we were seated without a reservation. Our server came and took our drink order and then when she returned, our appetizer order. Our appetizer and bread - OMG the bread! Heaven heaven heaven! was brought to us by someone else, not our server. We finished the loaf and most of our appetizer before she even reappeared to take our dinner order. We were not very happy with that. However, we put in our order: Chicken Francaise for me with a side of mushrooms and Riggies for my wife. No salad was provided or offered. Apparently, that is extra and must be requested. She couldn't remember out of the two of us who ordered what. She brought me a side of broccoli and disappeared before I could even protest. It was another 5 minutes before she came back and fixed my side. A busser came to check on us and wrapped up our leftovers. We sat at the table with our dinner in boxes before our server came to ask how the meal was. She then blamed everything on a short-staffed kitchen. She did not offer dessert or coffee. When she brought the check, it was for a completely different table. Took another ten minutes to get that squared. All in all, the food was ok. Nothing I would return for except the bread. That was amazing. However, the service was subpar. Thankfully, the bussing staff seems to have it together or we might still be sitting there!
I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday and it was our first time. We both ordered the “8 oz” filet mignon, mashed potatoes and crispy onions. The filet mignon was extremely underwhelming and dry. Mine was undercooked but I didn’t have the time to send it back and wait. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box and were horrible. We ordered a side of broccoli that was good. Overall we weren’t impressed and disappointed at the quality.
Made a reservation not realizing the restaurant moved from the really unique canal location into a former Outback Steakhouse in the middle of a shopping plaza. Menu was pricey but whatever… decided to get the special Shrimp & broccoli franchese, breaded & fried shrimp & broccoli with spaghetti and lemon slices. The shrimp didn’t taste like shrimp at all and there was absolutely no flavor. I asked for Parmesan so at least the pasta might have tasted better. Very disappointed in the meal and atmosphere. We never had a bad meal at previous location and I sure hope they get it all back some day but we will not be returning to this place.
This steak was beyond nasty I payed over 100 no flavor bad customer service I ordered medium for it to be burned terrible service this is insane
Food was very salty, my salmon was burned. We had reservations for the dining room and we were seated by the busiest part next to the bar. We were then told we weren’t guaranteed a dining table, so we took the table offered. We tried several times to get into this restaurant and we were so disappointed when we finally were able to get in. We really wanted to love it. We didn’t.
Went for lunch there last wed. Terrible experience.ordered the chicken topped greens. Chicken was at best 2 oz. The greens were greasy, slimy and full of soggy bread crumbs .Their chef should go to Georgios and learn how to make greens . They did take my meal off the bill but that did make up for the bad experience. My friends meal wasn't any better
My mother got food poisoning eating there. My risotto was undercooked, my sister's soup was too sweet and the wait staff failed to give her spices until it has already gone cold. Nearly every member of my family found their meal lacking one way or another, and the prices at this restaurant for this quality of food are outlandish.
Went in for my birthday dinner, was excited since reviews were pretty good. I've dined all over the country and this was one of the worse meals. The server was phenomenal, Victoria was kind, attentive and apologetic. The kale ceasar salad was good. The bread most definitely is frozen and then cooked, the butter served with it was very sweet. The bread is more similar to a hard crusted ciabatta. I order the strip steak cooked medium rare, with a baked potato and béarnaise sauce. Along with a side of asparagus. My steak came out more on the end of medium well, baked potato was forgotten. (Not blaming the server) I cut into my steak and sent it back, I do hate being that person however it was not cooked correctly. Once the steak was brought back out the béarnaise sauce was forgotten. My boyfriend ordered the seabass with risotto. The seabass was under cooked, seemed to be deep fried. (odd for such a delicate fish) The parmesan risotto had no flavor whatsoever. He did not want to send the fish back since the steak was sent back as well. Our server did apologize multiple times, and offered us desert on the house but at this point we truly just wanted to leave. No management ever came to talk to us about the steak, which is quiet disappointing. The resturant itself was clean, looked very cheesy for valentines day, lots of fake candles, red hearts all over. Again Victoria was phenomenal, very detail oriented and attentive.
*BE CAREFUL* I left a cash tip and crossed out the tip line on 1 of the 3 receipts I had received. I got notification the following day that there had been a $12 up charge to my card. I called the restaurant and found out that a server had taken it upon themselves to add an additional tip to my card on one of the other receipts that I had not filled out. I am very frustrated and disappointed as I had left well above a 20% gratuity for our server and they proceeded to take more from me.
My fiance took me here on my bday 5/19 & I will say the food was very nasty. The pasta that came with the lobster had this very weird off taste, the lobster was cooked to long & the sauce they put over it did not help at all. I will never eat here again. The waiter was nice.
Tried it here yesterday. Was so not worth the drive & $100. Very disappointing experience & incredibly overpriced. My son got the filet & mashed. The potatoes were lukewarm, tasted like boxed, & filet wasn’t cooked to order. (Med rare). After he cut a piece, saw it was brown, we politely tried to send it back & they offered a new/fresh one, but after waiting another 5 mins or so, the manager brought us out same filet, except they sliced the entire filet in half (to check the color I guess) & brought it back on out plate, cold, at which point my son just accepted it because he didn’t wanna create a scene or wait any longer. So he ate a $50 meal, cold, bc he didn’t wanna be difficult. Who does that?! Sliced entire filet in half & let it get cold while he waited, hungry, only to wait & just get a colder steak? Didn’t throw it back in the pan for a few seconds to warm it, took it from us and offered a new one, but then made us wait only to bring us the old one, sliced in half? My meal was equally disappointing. I paid $40 for essentially 2 cups of linguine in a tomato sauce. It was supposed to have seafood…it had a few pieces of shrimp, some rubbery, overcooked scallops, with a couple small clams. Definitely not worth the price, the entrées don’t come with any kind of salad or soup. Would be nice to get a small side salad for that price. It’s pretty sad when you spend $100 but you leave a restaurant still hungry and unhappy. Maybe other food there is good, but we probably will never know because I’ll likely never return.
New Year’s Eve dinner was a complete flop. Greasy box cheap pasta loaded with an overwhelming amount of cheese dripping with grease no salad without an additional fee which was less than appealing other ordered dish was steak saturated in liquid smoke flavor to cover the microwave taste potatoes were fake and dry just an absolute shame. Would not recommend on top of the food quality the outside lights on the building and parking lot were out very dark I said that was a sign and we should leave now I wish we had.
Very disappointed and the cost...we would have paid double if it was good but not for these recipes. Everything seemed very fresh it was just the flavors that didn't work. Appetizer - crab cakes where burnt and oily, no lumps or chunks just shredded crab. The oil dip was so sweet and tasted like a can. Dinner - if you like sauce that is sweet sure we were not fans there was no depth or any good quality to it really, a good sauce you will clean the plate we didn't want to take a third bite. Sicilian steak was like a hamburger patty inside and overcooked. The drinks expect 12 to 16 dollars and after ice 6 sipps my Heineken (7 dollars) tasted skunky and stale. We were happy to be all together but we did not have one thing that stood out or could be recommended and our conversation instead of being fun turned to how bad this place was. Based on dinners and apps we did not even try the desert. Also I seriously have never written a restaurant review but I feel we wasted our money here. Sorry to give a bad review to you AquaVino but more so I am sorry the dinner was so bad. Server was very good and resturaunt was very clean with a good atmosphere. This is just our experiences so take it for what it is and go see for yourself. Again service was great and it is a very clean resturaunt it was just the flavors like the chowder and sauces that didnt work for us which we understand is our preferance and others might think differently.
