FABULOUS restaurant! The food is SO GOOD! SO DELICIOUS!!!! I had a lamb dish with baba ghanoush (dish from an eggplant). The flat bread is made right in the restaurant and it’s unbelievably tasty. The portions are very generous. I had to take a doggie bag home 😋 Also the tea!!! ☕️ If you’re a tea lover, you will appreciate their tea, I promise. On my way out I got a milkshake made with mango and dates. This restaurant is an undiscovered treasure in Utica!
Excellent!!! Ordered on grubhub to try something different. Well worth the $$. Lamb was delish and the flatbread yum!!!
One of the best meals I’ve had in Utica. Delicious lamb, perfect rice, amazing fresh flatbread. Even the tea was great. The baba gannoush was creamy and smoky, and a touch under seasoned. The service was very casual but I didn’t care because of the quality of the food. Will return and try more of the menu for sure.
I love this place--the food is incredible: huge portions and delicious. Love the fassolia and the lamb soup served w/ the meal. I always get the Chicken Ghallaba on babaganoush because it is so tasty (warm spices, scallions, tomato) but I hope to branch out because based on other reviews, there are so many stand out dishes here. Also great place for meat eaters and vegetarians to eat side by side. Wonderful tea! Keep in mind that the table service is v relaxed here, so if you need something, ask at the counter! One of the best restaurants in Utica so don't miss this gem.
An amazing amazing restaurant! I can't suggest it enough, most of the dishes are platters to share and the prices are reasonable. They also have free Chai Tea and it's the best I've had in my life. The people are friendly and it's a beautiful restaurant.
We ordered dishes for take out with absolutely no familiarity with the cuisine. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting with a very tempting desert cooler and complimentary tea. The tea was a delicious surprise: sweetened and spiced with cinnamon and cardamom. The menu offers multiple proteins and multiple preparation styles. In the end, order your protein of choice and focus on the preparations: we got a Kebsa, and a Ghallaba with hummus. The Kebsa is a rice based dish and some of our diners are skeptical of rice. But the rice is not just a bland side but a flavorful highlight that stands on its own. The Ghallabsa consisted of boneless chunks of grilled spiced meat and was an absolute show stopper. Highly recommend. If you’re looking for something different One Arabian Night is worth the experience.
They have the best food and service! Every time I’m in the area, I have to stop by and grab something. specially the فحسه 😋
Edit: I’ve been back since and the food remains delicious. I recommend Chicken zurbani and the baklava. I hope they keep everything up to the same standard. My only recommendation would be automatic cups of water. Or maybe a carafe to dispense water so we don’t have to use up plastic bottles. I enjoyed the soft music that was playing. —— We will return to try more! Clean, simple restaurant with classic Arabian food. Generous provision of a simple salad and bowl of lamb broth to start your meal. Huge entrees so you can order one less meal than you think you’ll need. We only tried chicken dishes this time: recommend chicken muhammar and shawarma. The chicken aqda was a bit dry and disappointing. Bathrooms were clean, and Alhamdulillah for that. Too many halal restaurants don’t focus on this which is odd. I hope they keep their standards! I do wish the women’s bathroom had bidets too. We need to keep fresh also!
One Arabian Night is a fantastic restaurant! Despite calling only 30 minutes before closing, they warmly welcomed us and served us with love and big smiles. The place was clean, the food was super delicious and halal, the tea was incredible, and they even provided space for my dad to do his prayers. Highly recommended!
The food here is delicious. I’ve traveled to Dubai, Iraq, Kuwait, & a lot of other places in the Middle East and the food here is at the same level of quality. Large portions and the complimentary tea is very warming. I definitely recommend this restaurant & will be back here.
I’m very happy that we took the 20 minute trek off the highway to visit this place! We got to enjoy an authentic Middle Eastern meal that was outstanding! We took a couple of stars away for atmosphere. The space is large with many tables, we visited around 2pm (not lunch time, not dinner time either) and since there was no music playing it was very quiet. A little background noise would have made the experience better. We ordered the Foul Moudammas (mashed fava beans served with a large tandoori flatbread) and the Lamb Haneeth (served with rice and an eggplant & okra side). We grabbed a smoothie to go. Everything was delicious and we’re so pleased that we came. Next time we’re driving through, we will definitely come back here!!
Everything I’ve had here has been delicious. Always very fresh ingredients with tons of flavor. They have smoothies too!
Still thinking about this meal!!! My husband (who’s Moroccan) said this is the best lamb he’s had in the U.S., which says a lot. I had the chicken with babaganoush and hummus, it was absolutely delicious. The broth they serve with it is so cozy, and the house salad was super fresh. Honestly, everything hit the spot. Highly recommended, We’ll definitely be back
I tried the chicken fasha here, and it was amazing — rich, flavorful, and served piping hot in a stone bowl. What really stood out was the giant, freshly baked bread that came with it — soft on the inside with a perfect char and black seeds on top. The dish looked as good as it tasted — great presentation and even better flavor. The restaurant was quiet, clean, and had a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re craving something hearty and authentic!
I went for breakfast. I really liked the fresh, hot bread and the fried meat and eggs.
Delicious food with very friendly service. It easily exceeded expectations, from appetizers to the main dishes, and conveyed a warm sense of hospitality not just from the cuisine but also the staff serving it. The quality and flavor of the food, with an unexpected highlight being the fresh bread, surpasses the vast majority of what you will find at most other Middle Eastern eateries across the country, including in medium sized and some large cities. It’s truly a gem in Utica and it’ll be a staple every time I visit.
Absolutely amazing! Some of the best Arabian I have ever had! The lamb soup was flavored to perfection.
Visited this restaurant after a recommendation from a friend. And I was not disappointed at all. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant and facilities are very clean (they even have a bidet in the bathroom!). We traveled for almost an hour to get here and it was well worth it. We went for all traditional Yemeni meals, and didn't opt for their Mediterranean choices (though I heard they're also good). The whole family enjoyed the meal, as they were delicious and portions were generous. The Lamb haneeth was their star meal. However, we also loved the maraq (broth/soup) meat qilabah, the fahsah, and the fasoolia (beans) which we ordered dry-cooked according to our liking. Their rashoosh bread was also extremely delicious and freshly baked and the fatah (desert) was as a charm. Prices were also reasonable compared to the offering. I'm glad I came here, and already looking forward to visiting again. Would recommend this to anyone trying to look for a good Yemeni restaurant.
This was our first time at a Yemini restaurant. We love to try different types of foods and this restaurant did not disappoint. We tried the fassolia and the baba ghanoush. The meals came with a freshly baked large round flat bread and a salad. Both very good. My only criticism is that I thought that the fassolia would have more flavor.
Found this gem of a place on Google during a long journey back home. Hosam was attentive and helped with our choices. We asked for half portions and they obliged. For starters Hosam bought out a delicious Lamb soup and salad. For mains we ordered Lamb Haneeth and Chicken Muhammar. The portion sizes were huge so go hungry... YES even the half portions. We didn't manage to finish any of our meals! The Royal Araisy Smoothie is definitely an acquired taste. The service was exceptionally quick and with a smile. The place was spotless and well lit. Rarely do we see bathrooms as clean as these ones. The men’s bathroom had bidets. Free street parking is available. Definitely worth a visit.
Very tasty authentic middle eastern cuisine. Pleasant, well cleaned, and comfortable atmosphere. So much too choose from, your mouth will water as soon as the smell entices you. I got the chicken shawarma tonight with seasoned fries with a special dip, taste like a seasoned yogurt sauce, very delicious and accents this mouthwatering sandwich. Best hot tea in the area, a free gift for those willing to dine out at a unique restaurant. A five star.
Amazing food, we had Fassolia (veg) and Lamb Haneeth, quick service, highly recommend! (2025 Nov)
I have now been there twice. This is halal place. The ambiance is nice not too fancy but nice. You can go there with your family. The men’s bathroom was very clean. There are a few parking spots in the adjacent lot. The owner is very nice person and their cook Abu Mohammed is very friendly. I had the Chicken Muhamar in the picture. The portions are quite good and I had some leftover ( I am an above average eater). It was served with salad and soup ( I asked for a second helping). The soup is delicious and on the spicy side but not too overwhelming. My second time I had the Chicken Aqda with bread. The bread is huge even for me. The Aqda was good and the meat fell off the bones. The spice level was good but not overpowering. The people working are very friendly and will answer any questions. Definitely worth going again, next time I am in the area.
Absolutely love this place, as far as food, it’s tastes great, and feels healthy, it’s just “real” and prepared well. 5 stars. Atmosphere is pleasant, I could hang out for a while. The people at work are warm and friendly, im appreciative every time I come in
The food here is delicious! I'd never had Yemeni food, but I will now recommend it to anyone who will listen! At first I thought the prices were a bit high, but the portions are huge. My "light entree" gave me three whole meals.

I ordered chicken kabsa rice from Marib and it wasn't my favorite dish but it didn't disappoint me. The chicken is a big piece and very tender. Rice is fluffy and perfectly cooked. It is lightly seasoned. It is a newly opened Halal restaurant in town. I will try other dishes in the future.
Great gluten free options, and excellent service. The lamb broth was delicious. The tea was too sweet for me but my brother loved it. So many great options that I am looking forward to going back to try other dishes.

Had a really great lunch. Came in for something different and really enjoyed our meal. I had their shawarma sandwich which was really tasty. It was served as what I would call a combo between a wrap and a panini. Very good for sure. My wife had their chicken curry pot. It came out boiling hot, but once we could eat it - it was amazing! It comes with a HUGE flat bread to dip and eat with. We took probably about half of it home because the serving was so big. Food was great. Service was ok. Our server never came to check on us, which I don’t care for. But excellent meal. The restaurant itself is not updated at all.

Disappointing. We read the reviews and were excited to eat here. Upon arrival many of the dishes were not available. We Ordered the lamb with baba ghanoush, and instead we got hummus, it wasn’t the first order our server mixed up so we decided to just stick with it. The meat was very tough and hard. I had to spit several pieces out. It was the same lamb that was in the lamb shawarma. It wasn’t real Shawarma where it’s sliced. It’s cubed meat and not the best cut. If they cooked or marinated it longer it could be better. The kids food was okay. The bread was good though. The only authentic and well made food of everything else. Also, there was no complimentary tea or salad like some reviews said. Another minus was they started putting the chairs up on tables while we’re eating, which is just poor manners. I’ll skip this place next time.
Visited around 1:30 pm on a Sunday. The server was polite and non-intrusive. The men’s bathroom was clean and the restaurant seating area was orderly and well-lit. Parking was available right next to the building on the street with no competition for parking spaces. Meal started with lamb soup which was very good. For mains, I ordered chicken muhammar. The main dish was served within 15 minutes. The chicken seemed warmed over from the previous day or reheated because the meat was not soft. The meal was not served hot. The rice was acceptable and warm. The vegetable mix with eggplant was tangy, not unpleasant, but not quite complimentary to the meal. I did not mention the condition of the chicken to the server and probably should have. The spicing of the meal was different from other Yemeni restaurants that I have dined at in Buffalo, New York and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Although the spicing was not unpleasant it seemed prepared more for local tastes (Utica, New York) than representing an authentic flavor. In particular I would not call it delicious. I had diarrhea the next day, confirming the fact that the chicken was not reheated correctly. I did not eat any other food until the next day. I wanted to like this restaurant because of the obvious work that had gone into the cleanliness, organization and quality of service, but cannot forgive being served leftover food. Not returning.
Surprised and happy to find several unique vegetarian options at this yemeni restaurant. Apart from usual falafel, we also tried mushakal both of which were good. The tandoori bread that came with mushakal was topped with black sesame and fresh! Mushakal was good but could use a little bit more flavor. The falafel sandwich was good but adding some pickled veggies would make it tastier. My son found his sandwich too mild so an option to add some spice or flavor would be good. They gave free salad which was good. We couldn’t eat the free soup since it was non-vegetarian. They were busy so service was slow and music was struck on one line of a rap song which was annoying!!

Make sure you check your recipe if using a credit card, cashier will tip himself the max tip. Food good, portion tiny for big price.
Lamb shawarma was meh, needed a lot more of the white sauce not a tiny container. Or just lather it on sandwich. Lamb Meat was very fatty, I spit out more clumps of grizzle than actual meat eaten, fries were dripping in grease, did not eat. Did not receive maza platter. Asked to be notified & was not. Baklava looked store bought, tiny pieces, pistachios, other nuts, this isnt baklava & its not as pictured on door dash. Flatbread was burnt & wasn't needed since they didn't send maza platter.... utter waste of alot of money. I think all these rave reviews are probably friends or family. Doubt I will ever order here again. Be warned!! Pics attached. Lastly door dasher delivered other orders before me, so maybe he gave my food to other parties!!! Just an overall terrible experience.
