Red Robin in Ventura is generally well-regarded for its burgers, fries, and friendly service, with several reviewers specifically praising staff like Mia and David. Some find it a bit pricey and crowded during dinner. Order accuracy and food consistency are occasional issues.

Great teamwork and service here! The Big Yummm deals are unbeatable, you cant eat at home this cheap, and the food is really good.
Our waitress, Mia, was very efficient. The manager, Misha, was also present and checking in at customer’s tables-very kind. Food was good. We will definitely return.
I recently went to the Red Robin at the Pacific View Mall in Ventura, CA after a day trip to Los Angeles with a group from my church. First and foremost, I was impressed with the accommodating wait time for such a large group (about 30). It's not easy to find a restaurant that can efficiently handle a sizable group, but the staff at this Red Robin exceeded my expectations. Our servers deserve a special shoutout for their exceptional service. They handled numerous orders very well, including all the bottomless fries and repeated refills of root beer floats. I don't remember what hamburger I had, but I have eaten here numerous times with my family and the flavors were on point as always. In fact, I found myself wanting to go back for another round even before I left the restaurant! Even writing this review right now has my mouth watering. The atmosphere at Red Robin Ventura was warm and welcoming. It provided the perfect setting for our group to relax and bond over a delightful meal. My visit to Red Robin in Ventura, CA was an absolute treat. The combination of great service, great food, and a friendly atmosphere made it a memorable evening for our church group. If you're in the Ventura area and craving a mouthwatering meal in a hospitable setting, look no further than Red Robin.
Been coming here for years now and it continues to never disappoint. Very affordable that are not only cheap to buy but, so yummy to eat. Not only do the burgers hit you with a kick they also leave you with unlimited fries to boot! With just $11 (if you include the drink!) you could get their cheapest burger which is the haystack tavern double, which comes with two Pattie’s and fried crispy onion fries, completing a whole meal with just $11. 100% recommend here!
Great service kind staff. Efficent and fast service. Dinner time is crowded. David tells great jokes to start you dinner off with a smile. The staff all deserve tips. Food was good. A little pricey but kinda worth it. Great nachos. The food fills you up so you dont need to order a lot to get full. Overall would go there again 100%.
Great food. Fun place. The waitress forgot to put in our order so the manager comped us. Great professionalism.
Red Robin earns a solid 4 stars in my book — it’s a consistently fun, casual place to eat with good food, friendly service, and a family-friendly atmosphere that still works well for teens and adults who just want a laid-back meal. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with that classic diner-meets-modern-sports-bar vibe, with bright red booths, TVs playing sports or random trivia, and the smell of burgers in the air that kind of makes you hungrier than you thought you were. The menu is big, with lots of burger options, from classic to wild (pineapple and teriyaki, anyone?), and everything feels customizable — you can swap patties, remove toppings, or go with a lettuce wrap if you’re trying to be healthier, which I appreciate. The bottomless fries are a huge win — crispy, well-seasoned, and super addicting, and if you ask, they’ll bring you more without hesitation. Their milkshakes are thick and indulgent, and the freckled lemonade is still a fan favorite. It’s not exactly “gourmet” food, but it’s good quality for the price, and portions are generous. They also have options beyond burgers — like salads, chicken sandwiches, and even vegetarian and gluten-free dishes — so there’s usually something for everyone. Service tends to be friendly and pretty quick, though depending on how busy it is, you might have to wait a bit for refills or extra fries — nothing major, but it’s worth noting if you’re on a tight schedule. The restaurant is also family-oriented, so you’ll often hear kids laughing or the occasional birthday song from across the dining room, which is fun for some people and a bit much for others depending on the mood. Still, it doesn’t take away from the experience — it just adds to that casual, all-ages vibe they’re going for. Overall, Red Robin isn’t trying to be super fancy, and that’s exactly why it works — it’s comfortable, tasty, and dependable, especially when you’re craving a big burger and fries in a setting where you don’t have to dress up or feel rushed. A few minor things (like noise or wait times during rush hours) keep it from being five stars, but I’d still definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a chill, satisfying meal with friends or family.
Food was good and came out quick. Service was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere could’ve been a little better. Came after church and there was a pretty open restaurant but they sat us all really close together. Would’ve been nice to have a little bit of space but I understood because of how many servers they had there. Will come again
Great variety of burgers... this is not fast food so expect to wait a bit. Certain days can get very busy so plan on waiting for seating. Kid friendly with kids menus (with crayons). TV's are spread throughout and usually turned to current local sports... if you're nice your waiter/waitress might change the channel for you. Restaurant seating throughout with bar seating near the back of the restaurant. Food is consistent over the years and the service keeps us coming back again and again. Come for the fun... stay for the YUM!
I've gone to Red Robins since I would travel to Los Banos, it was always awesome, ventura put in a Red Robins i went there when if first opened for quite some time, as time passed I went elsewhere. I decided to go there this weekend of January 2026 (at this time it had been 8 years since I was there) I was really grossed out at how dirty this place was, the food would have been good if the buns for our hamburgers weren't old and falling apart! I just can't believe how dirty it was! I won't be going back there anytime soon! CLEAN IT UP AND MAKE SURE YOUR FOOD PRODUCTS ARE UP TO DATE!
Went here for my son's birthday. He was really excited because he loves the food and the fact that they give him a balloon.🎈😁 The host sat us very quickly but the servers were very overwhelmed with a big party. The party that kept sending their food back and asking for things I really felt sorry for the servers. So although it took a while for our food to come out and for us to get refills on our drinks and fries I don't want to rate them lower because it wasn't their fault. The manager eventually came around to check on everyone but I feel like she should have been a little more visible to help with that large party.
They have decent food, but MULTIPLE times over the last year they have messed up our order and forgotten something. We've either gone back for a correction, or if we're too far back home we just call it a loss. The last time, I paid extra for garlic broccoli and not only did I get plain broccoli instead (I have receipt proof), but it was such a pathetic amount for the cost. I wasn't compensated. They also try to sneak in a tip if you order online. Luckily I caught it during check out.
Brought my daughter for her Birthday. I told the server it was her Birthday. She said oh ok. Never told my daughter happy Birthday. The food was over priced for what we received. The fries were good. We had to ask for napkins and silverware. The waitress seemed very distracted. After we finished our meal, the waitress asked if we wanted dessert.. i said no. She asked if I stillwanted the Birthday girls icecream... yes please. We sat there and waited and waited. She brought our bill and told us to have a nice evening, i pointed to my daughter the Birthday girl.. said its her birthday again... she walked away.. never saw her again... we waited and waited.. nothing. We finally just left. Disappointed. Birthday girl was let down. We will not be dining there again.
Was there on Sunday. One of the worst hamburgers I have ever had. First they mixed my order. I had ordered A1 hamburger and regular French fries, but they brought me French fries with Parmesan cheese. The bun was so old and was not toasted thus it was inedible.
Placed $1000 catering order one week in advance to be picked up between 11:45 and 12. Arrived at 12 to pick it up and it was not ready.bordered almost 50 burgers and they literally gave us 50 French tfries to go with them, not enough for 50 people. Will never order from here again.
I used to love this place, but in the last months, the food is prepared inaccurately. Today, I got a to-go order, and my fries were clearly left over fries that were reheated. The fries were so hard and dry. My patty had no pink, and it was so dry. The amount of mayo is always outrageous, and they never know how to cook an egg. The egg is always overcooked. I'm so disappointed and never returning to this location. It's not the first time this happens.
