Breakfast burritos all day! Awesome selection of food and satisfying coffee roast. Espresso roast made my latte, delectable; convenient after stepping off Amtrak to get some work done
The energy/vibes in the place is magical. I felt it when walking thru the door. I can see why the locals love this place. Im definitely coming back.
Stopped in on my way up the coast. One of the best açaí bowls I have ever had. The maple pecan breve was delicious. 10/10 would recommend. A few regulars were in here while I was here, the staff remembered their names, which was such a indicator that this place builds community. I will be stopping here more often on my trips up north. Great service, great vibe, tasty offerings, friendly staff!
Nicest staff. Greeted with a smile. Prompt service. Great location. Comfy interior and nice patio that’s dog friendly! We had the Breakfast bagel sandwich (without meat). Very good on an Everything Bagel. The woman making the sandwiches was so nice and apologetic for the wait but it was fine. She was slammed! Definitely recommend.
Lovely humans working here. Excellent bagel with cream cheese and all the veggies. House made pickles. Iced Latte on point. Reasonable prices. Super clean (no dirty tables). Nice patio, steps to the beach. High five!
Great place to hang out and get some work done. I had a killer tuna sandwich!! I will definitely be back.
Surfers Point Cafe!! This place is a GEM. Family owned and operated. When I'm on the road I love finding a place that cares and does everything with love. Mom took my order Dad was there and Jack the son shared the story with me of how they started and what they have put in so far and their future plans for the place. I would be here every day if I lived close. I actually was offered a job lol. I may have begged. Anyway I got a black eye. Delicious dark roast with an extra shot and oat milk. They have every kind of sweetener so you're not stuck with that white lame sugar unless you love it. We got there 9 minutes to closing and they didn't rush us or make us feel anything but welcome and appreciated. Wow if only every business operated this way. The seating area outside is ample and cozy and clean. They offer some food etc. But we were literally taking a pit stop and didn't eat. My friend got a coffee also bit just drip and loved it. We rested out back talked to Jack then felt totally revived for the trip home. Go and support this family and I pray they thrive. I feel confident they will as they are creating something special.
BOMB BOMB BOMB 💣 💣 💣 a must try. We were getting sick of the bums begging for money every day and people smoking where we were. This place is a definite upgrade! Super cool owners/staff great atmosphere. The tables are substantial, and don't toss your coffee when you sit. The coffee it's self is beyond good with a bold smooth rich deep flavor. The blended drinks are awesome. Food items are substantial and wholesome. Instead of pastries and feeling bloated, there are healthy and creative options bowls breakfast bagels burritos. The ingredients and quality are top-notch. I was amazed by the thoughtful and efficient setup - the quality and the entire experience. If you live anywhere within 40 miles, get your ass down here - you'll ditch your old caffeine source the first visit. They knocked it out of the park home run! Now they've expanded and also sell dank sandwiches after 11 beer and wine, plus he's even starting experimenting with TRI-TIP! Get in here and try something. I bet you'll come back.... Did I mention tri-tip? MIND BLOWING generous and dank well thought sandwiches of superior quality now available. Look at the pictures. Then you get a nice balsamic on that arugula fine cheese super thin purple onion and a mayo/aoil that's thin with perfect seasoning. House made pickle is the bomb. High quality vinegar and salt chips. This thing is a work of art and they're killing it. Eat one you'll be addicted!
Such a cute café! I got the loaded breakfast burrito and my brother had the lox bagel which were both delicious! They have great seating and a great location downtown. Make sure to check them out and support local businesses :)
Come here on a hot summer day. The air conditioning was amazing. We were visiting from out of town and stopped by here on or way to the beach, which was conveniently walking distance from here. The baristas were super friendly, the atmosphere is cute and cozy. It was a good place to grab an iced coffee, check out some books, get some WiFi, and be on our way. Thanks for the great experience!
This place was great. I debunked some of the negative: I used my reuseable cup for the piping hot espresso. Had delicious avocado toast on sourdough and got some excellent recommendations from the staff about what to do for NYE. My only gripe is that my latte was too hot.
This review is a long time coming! Surfers Point has the best acai bowl I’ve ever had - I have tried many in LA and have been disappointed. Every time I am in Ventura I make sure to stop in for an acai bowl and coffee. Their acai is amazing - smooth not icy, not too sweet. Toppings are generous. Prices are great. Best of all always served with a smile. Surfers point is a great place to hang out post surf and I’ve even gotten some work done here. I look forward to coming by every time i’m in town. thank you!!

Always come to soak up some local atmosphere, great good and great prices👍🏻 Always recommend to friends when trying to find a new breakfast + coffee spot Thanks guys for the yummy food
are you kidding me? can't believe i didn't know about the magic of surfer's point sooner. it's my favorite coffee shop in ventura, but the funny thing is i've never had the coffee. my go-to is the chai or the london fog latte. they also have delicious specialty drinks, varying per season. love it. the surfers point iced london fog latte is my favorite drink in the world. perfectly sweet, a hint of vanilla and lavender. if you can get your hands on a breakfast burrito - DO IT. the hashbrowns, the cheese, it all. mmm. the ambiance is so serene, chic and cozy. i've stopped here just to grab a drink for my morning walk down the beach and sat there for hours working. wish it was open longer but it makes it more special when i can stop by. the owner is also so so friendly and welcoming. he'll remember you and your family. the kind of owner who you'll see taking your drink order, making it and then turning around to see him cooking food. the best.
Just had my first experience at Surfer's point since the changeover last year. My order: Americano and Chorizo Burrito. Service: Counter service was great and worked in a timely manner. They even asked if I had dietary restrictions (which I don't - I'll eat what you don't). I thought this was a thoughtful question for their guests. The coffee is 10 times better. I live in the area and I will add this to the list for morning coffee spots. 10/10 for my burrito. Not the largest breakfast burrito but it definitely was filling after my morning swim - and for the price, TOTALLY WORTH IT. They didn't skimp on the meat and EGGS!!!! I took my food to go, but there's plenty of seating inside and outside. The folks were listening to 80s/90s unoffensive hip-hop. I liked the ambiance. Thank you! And thanks for my under $20 breakfast!
Had the egg sando this morning and it was spectacular! Will be back. My London Fog was also very tasty.
Breakfast burrito and coffee drinks were delicious. Easy walk from the beach. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. The owner was friendly and engaging.
This place has that old time beach atmosphere of Ventura's Past. It definitely isn't a "corporate" type store. They care about their product, and what goes into it. I just installed an intensive water purification system to make their coffee and espresso taste even better. It just shows the level of car that goes into their products. Surfside Café in Ventura is hands down one of my favorite spots! The staff is always extremely friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a great experience. The coffee is absolutely delicious, and their bagels and breakfast burritos are out of this world—seriously, some of the best I’ve had anywhere. If you’re in Ventura County and looking for a cozy spot with amazing food, great coffee, and even better vibes, I can’t recommend Surfside Café enough.

Brought in a small group of seniors from an assisted living complex. Got to know Matt, the owner, great guy, sharp. Helped everyone make their lunch decision, including wine. I had their tasty everything-in-it breakfast burrito (no indigestion whatsoever despite its size). All of his workers were friendly, upbeat, and working hard. They checked in on us periodically, not rushing us, allowing us to laugh, talk, and generally have a good time. If I'm in the area, I'll be back. I told him I wanted to bring my son and his family to the restaurant when he visits from the Bay Area. The restroom was clean and organized. Give it a try and tell them Freddie's review convinced you. Lol.
Surfers Point Café: A Masterclass in Mediocrity and Rudeness. Avoid Surfers Point Café unless you enjoy overpriced, inconsistent food and a side of blatant disrespect. While the acai bowl, the café's sole redeeming feature, is undeniably tasty, it hardly justifies the exorbitant price tag. More importantly, the appalling service and staff attitude overshadow any potential culinary enjoyment. My recent experience was nothing short of infuriating. Despite my wife and I both ordering full meals, we were unceremoniously evicted from the courtyard picnic tables. Our crime? Finishing a personal sandwich brought from elsewhere. Apparently, paying customers are not entitled to enjoy the outdoor space if they dare consume anything not purchased on-site. The staff's approach was curt and dismissive, demonstrating a shocking lack of basic customer service. Beyond this incident, the overall service was abysmal. Expect long waits, disinterested staff, and an atmosphere that feels more like a chore than a dining experience. Save your money and your sanity. There are far better options in the area that value their patrons.

I was spending around $20/day 3-5 days/week. Only to have the owner give me attitude & not fill my mug up with coffee, because I asked for light ice? He started to complain it was too expensive to fill. This was the 2nd & last time time he gave me attitude. 1st time he snapped was when I was working on my computer, in a corner on a slow day. It was the only plug not in the main isle where people walk. He demanded I ran my cord in the walkway & said I can’t move table to eat/work because tables are for”customers”??? Food is good, the staff is friendly, owner needs to learn basic hospitality practices. Owner obviously doesn’t care, but he lost another faithful customer.
