Best beer in town. By far my favorite brewery in Ventura County.
Good local brewery with many options on tap. Always fun to go to!
Great beer and friendly staff. The Greek food truck provided tasty food too.
Great beers, and even better tap room associates. Friendly team around
Great beer and great people. I recommend the coffee IPA when its on tap!
Amazing local brewery! So many delicious beers on tap!! 🍻
Excellent service great beer wonderful people thank you very much for your hospitality! I'll have to come back up when I'm not on a fire.
Great mosaic, ipa's on tap. Great place, very cozy, and the beer is very tasty!
I always love coming back and seeing what new options are on tap. There is always something new to try, and I'm never disappointed.
Great local brews including a slate of delicious pale ales and IPAs.
Great local Ventura brewery only 2 blocks off Main Street. Downtown Ventura secret
Great Beer! Love the decor. You gotta come and have a flight!
Had a nice beer and played some pinball. Great time!
Great tasting beer. No food but close restaurants deliver.
Friendly gathering spot, is dog friendly and has lots of good beer choices... win, win & win.
Stopped in just before closing to have a "Chief" on my birthday. Loved it! Thanks Topa Topa.
The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and of course the beer is fabulous
Amazing craft brews. I liked every one! Highly recommended.
Great beer. Chiefs Peak IPA is my fav.
I don't give 5 stars easily at all but I just tried Topa Topas' Double IPA and I love this stuff! Hops are there but not in yo face, very drinkable for a double IPA sittin at 8.5 ABV picked this up at 5 Points Liquor in Ventura I have been drinking IPAs' for longer than I care to say and this is a really good brew!
Anyone that's ever been here and didn't enjoy it was clearly high. (Like the clowns that gave it one star) Seriously, it's that good. Awesome staff, great beers and fun easy going crowds every time.
Love this place they are very adventurous with their selection. Come here if you are looking for something more than the staid IPA/dblIPA. Good bartenders rotating seasonal selection.
This place is great. Cool vibe, great beer and awesome food trucks like @happyplaceeatery. I recommend to all when here, after a surf or just passing through.
Great beer and fantastic staff! They were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Wish we could have stayed longer! We'll definitely be back.
Exceptional beer and a great crew! Topa Brew is a wonderful part of our community and they truly care about the people they serve. I highly recommend sampling a fresh 🍺🍺
Some of the best beer in town. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, it's an all around great place to hang at any time of day!
Drinks were phenomenal, spot was rad, and the bartender (Haley/Hailey spelling?) was incredible. Great stop while driving along the coast.
Best beer on the planet? Perhaps! Great unassuming vibes with staff who will always make you feel welcome? 100% I love topa topa with all my heart and soul
Great tasting beers. You have got to try this brewery, it's becoming one of my favorites here in Ventura.
Wow, what a great spot! The organic Lager was amazing!
Great beer, great atmosphere, and perfect for after a day of dragging the kids around the street fair in Ventura. Did I mention the great beer?
Great beers and super chill atmosphere. Bring food in with you or grab something from one of the food trucks usually parked outside.
Are you kidding me? If you've been here twice, you are Family! The best people, best beer and the best vibe in West Ventura.
Good beer . Especially the Tux imperial and the Necteron IPA. Relaxed setting and good service
Played an acoustic set here with my girlfriend. Had a great time! Food truck was amazing!
Great beer, and cool place to hang out with friends. The employees are always great.
Great variety and quality of beer. Great place to have a few with some friends.
Topa Topa is the people’s brewery. Hard pressed to find better beer and a better brand.
Amazing beer (the tux nitro is phenomenal!), greay vibe and friendly staff!
The staff is amazing, attentive, and friendly... basically everything you'd expect from a good, well run operation. They can tell you in detail about everything they're pouring. The facility is always clean, comfortable, and carries a positive vibe. I do make it a point to swing by on my travels.
I always come back for the Saison. Dog friendly. Employees are attentive. Update: 5 years later, we love this establishment so much we got married and had our reception at the HQ on Colt St. The BEST, top notch 100% from top to bottom Grade A quality people. <3
Most hip breweries these days serve mostly IPAs but this place had a great selection of dark beers which was refreshing to see. The first time I went they had a good food truck and great music (live music from a guy with a crazy electronic setup). The second time they didn't have live music or a food truck but the beer was still great.
Honestly don’t understand what any of the less than 5 star reviews are about. Have these people ever been to a brewery before? If you are looking for a high quality, local brewery option: Topa Topa Brewing Co. is the one of the top choices in Southern CA. Google Reviews only gives you enough space for a high level overview of their positives: • Good Vibes (only) • AMAZING beer (only) • Tux! Since it is on nitro you can only get it at the brewery, which is worth the trip alone. • The Staff! Never had a bad experience with any of the staff who are all incredible folks who are really chill. • The fellow beer drinkers. Topa Topa seems to always draw great folks out. • The patio allows dogs! • Food trucks with diverse options (Topa Topa doesn’t control this - just a bonus). • Sweet merch. Negatives: • None.
Great service Super helpful on picking out some great beer to try Got the beer flight My favorite was the Dos Topas, then Light Hike, Silently out of the Sea & Harvest Swoon in that order Tons of places to sit: bar, tables in the bar area, outside on dog friendly patio & in the back with pool table, stage & tables to play board games too!!!! Super awesome place to chill, relax, visit & have some refreshing beer! The food truck tonight was Passion Empanada! The traditional beef empanada was out of this world!!!
We stopped in here on the way back to San Diego and were completely blown away with the entire experience. The beer these guys are brewing is phenomenal. Full stop. My brother and I each tried the flight which included a saison, an IPA, the double IPA and their nitro stout. I'm not usually a huge fan of dark beers but the stout won me over with it's coffee infused brew and nitrogen tap delivery. Topa Topa is also a really cool place to hang out. Outside of the beers, the interior of the space is industrial, with wooden accents which really blends well together. It feels really warm and welcoming, yet extremely clean at the same time. The day we stopped in there was a food truck outside which I guess is done most of the time. Synergistic local businesses. It really does feel like a community. The friendliness of the staff also really lends to the sense of family and community. What a great local space. Anytime I'm in the central coast I'll be stopping in. With growlers.
Truly the best and most interesting beer in Ventura county. Rivaled only by Ojai Valley brewery, for a unique and lovingly made beer. You can tell when a craft brewery feels like they are just jumping on the bandwagon, and that is not the case here. And as a plus, there’s no shortage of adorable pups running around this dog friendly tasting room, which makes drinking a delicious beer all the better!
This Topa Topa, the "OG", is just phenomenal. It's always felt kinda like you're hanging out at a friend's house, but since the expansion it's even better. There's billiards, video games, a lot of outdoor space, and even a stage for music & other acts to come enjoy. Parking is scarce in the lot, but you can park nearby and walk a little ways to get there. It's worth it!
My husband and I had the best time here! We just moved here and Ellie was super kind and gave us lots of recommendations in the area, which was appreciated. Great vibe
A must visit spot in downtown Ventura area for beers. They also host many events and often have a food truck on site. Only complaint is then lean heavy on IPAs - but that’s a personal taste thing. Topa Topa supports many local communities, events, and groups. Love ‘em!
Local brewery tap room. Great local Vemtira vibes and great beers. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. A stage for bands and a food truck in the parking lot.
I haven’t had the food here yet but the beer from what my husband said was great I had wine . The decor is okay simple and bright . They had a variety of beer on tap not as much as the yard house but a good amount it’s in a good location in downtown Ojai . I would be back again
Great beer. We had taster flights and enjoyed every beer in the lineup. The food truck (Game Over) serves up a fine quesadilla too.
Their set up during Covid19 makes the most sense. Pay and order on line ahead if time, walk up to the window where you can stay outside and grab your brew, or call and ask them to bring it to your car if you need that service. It is the best - you don’t have to touch anything but your beer. The only vice, which is my own is: remember to bring a cash tip. Cheers!
Laid back, family friendly, young, fast beer slingers, daily food trucks, and good beer. Chief Peak IPA was not as hoppy as expected and at 75 IBU a nice California surf IPA. Saison had nice pepper notes and coriander on a slightly sour base. I liked all beers but ended up drinking more Sespe Pilsner than I should have.
Excellent beer. Best IPAs in the county in my humble opinion. Run by nice pleasant people. When it is not packed to the brim with people and their pets, it is my favorite spot to hang out and have a beer. Cozy atmosphere. Almost everyone is dressed with a flannel shirt or with Patagonia gear, which makes you feel right at home if that is your crowd or make it seem very very homogeneous. Nice place to hang out, it is welcoming with warm tones and lighting. Again, BEER IS GOOD.
The layout of the taproom is great. Nice section indoors and 2 sections outdoors gives you great choice depending on the weather. Beware there are not TVs here but you can stream on their wifi to a device. Compare to other breweries, they do have a smaller selection of beers but they have a good selection of different styles. The beers shows off their skills. The staff were very friendly.
Great place to stop and try different beers. Julio was very friendly and kind. We grabbed food next store at Lamas and we sit here. The ambience is a plus.
Doing a 20 mile bike ride in lovely Ventura, 2nd stop was Topa Topa Tap Room #2. Very impressed with all of their finely crafted ales. My favorite was the single hop series IPA.
Best place for a cold beer in all of downtown. Topa Topa has it all. Great brews, great people and great atmosphere. Come for one or come for a few. It’s always a good time here. If you know, you know.
Great selection of craft beers (IPAs, ales, lagers, stout) and seltzers, outdoor (and indoor) seating, friendly staff and dog bowls, too! Dropped in to meet friends (former ‘desert dwellers’) and sampled a few of the featured beers including ‘Level Line’ pale ale and ‘Kerna Lager.’ Both were great! Indoor space is somewhat tight, but there are tables and bar seating. Two patio areas - front of building and side of the building (which is more expansive). Patio is shaded from the afternoon sun, and of course there are cool ocean-influenced breezes. Bathroom is in the interior of the business; up-to-date and clean. Parking is convenient- right in front of the business.
Great beers. Nick is awesome behind the bar. Also, the Cali dough boyz are making some of the best pizza in the county.
Fantastic beer. The Chief peak is a no brainer. While they have it, you must go and try the Sabro single hop IPA......MY GOD IS THIS A GREAT BEER! Topa topa should strongly think this one through and make it a regularly available beer for us!! Great staff, nice vibe in tasting room. Thanks and see ya soon!
Great little brewery, convenient to the beach. Pet friendly, indoor and outdoor seating. House beers are really good, try the Saisson or IPA.
Great medium sized brewery bar! Food trucks or mobile catering most weekends. Chief Peak and Nitro Pub were tasty.
🍻Best selection of beer in Ventura 🌮Keto Tacos are my new favorite beer pairing 🙇♂️Excellent service The beer is tasty, unique, and creative. The service is the best in the west And the Keto Tacos are amazing! The shells are made of cheese, it's a sinfully delicious combination for topa topa to be paired with keto tacos. The only negative I could possibly think of, is that I would appreciate a sampler platter option. But besides that, you need to add topa topa to your brewery besiege
Great close-to-home-spot! Be ready to walk a bit as parking is in demand. Better yet, ride your bike! Get a Tony's pizza up the street!
Great relaxing atmosphere. We brought our chihuahuas. Taco truck is imported to the brewery. Tastey tacos delivered to your table and delicious crafted beer.
Wow. What a cool brewery. Lots of families, locals, just regular folks hanging out with great beer. I loved pretty much everything, and I tried seven out of ten beers on tap. Will definitely come back.

The service is really great here, super appreciate their knowledge and help. I really liked their beer called Light Hike if you don't like IPAs or just want something not as heavy. Not sure what days the smash burger guy is there but he was there on Wednesday night and he made a very good smash burger, he also doesn't skimp on the toppings either which I appreciate it, it had like 6 Pickles, which is the correct amount of Pickles and the caramelized onions were super good and done perfectly

Good selection of beers and good vibe. Didn't try to food from mex van but didn't look inspiring
Wide selection of beers on tap. Spacious indoor and outdoor drinking area and food trucks are there most days
Loved it just wished they had food even popcorn or peanuts would be ok 😁
Nice place, beer is a bit sweet or would be five stars
Delicious. One of the best coffee beers I've ever had.
Fun spot, great beer. Awesome post surf beer!
Quality bartenders slinging top notch brews. Pretty sure I just saw Valtteri Bottas there too... Jk, everyone knows he's in Monaco this weekend... But the beer is that good.
Great brews, really good service, conscientious and conscious and lots of fun with different events here. Very casual, the outdoor heating is a plus.
Fresh beers and friendly wait staff making their way through the rona. There's a mandatory food truck parked next door for tacos and burritos, and their prices and portions are fair. Good place to hang with friends for a beer or two
Really lovely ambiance on the patio. Fortunately I came when it wasn’t too busy, it was a really peaceful setting in the outdoor patio. There was also indoor seating with a pool table that would have been a lot of fun for a group hangout. Beers were very unique, bartender was friendly. Definitely worth a stop.
Beer and service were good! Had the Tux Nirto Milk Stout... However. We had to buy a $5 food ticket in order to dine in (Santander covid guidline!?) My friend got the pulled pork sandwiches, and she said the meat was burnt and tasted awful! Brewery 👍👍👍 up, and food truck 👎👎

Good solid beer. Good environment. Super dog friendly. Although there was a guy kicking his dog - some ppl shouldn’t be dog owners.

Topa Topa beer is always great - 5-stars. The food truck at this location however, only offers “gourmet” dining. Sorry, but was only looking for a simple snack of say, chips or fries. Even a burger would’ve hit the spot. But hey, if you enjoy steak or lobster with your beer, it’s probably worth a try.
Great locally brewed beer and seltzer but dreadlocks is not very hospitable. Life is too short bro. Topa Topa Brewing is a local brewery that was founded in Ventura, California in 2015. It is situated near the Topa Topa mountains in Ojai and the coast of the Pacific Ocean. They emphasize quality, craftsmanship, and community spirit, and utilize local ingredients. They actively contribute to environmental causes as a member of 1% For The Planet.

This brewary would have been a 4 but the food truch that they hire, Mom and Pops Tacos is abysmal. I had the double coffee ipa. It was very nice well ballanced flavors. Also the outdoor seeting is lovely. Just be sure to eat before you go unless you like Taco Bell quality mexican.
We are huge fans of Topa Topa. We were very confused by the pricing of our last visit though (and we did try to clarify with the bartender to no avail). We wanted a beer size smaller than a pint but not a tiny taster shot glass. The board said $4 for a taster and $8-9 for a pint. The bartender said we could have a size not listed on the board but we still paid the $8-9… for a half-pint. Didn’t make sense.
1st visit. Rude staff. Limited seating and even more limited parking. I am only giving 2 stars for the selection of drafts and option to play pool. Beer could definitely be colder too.
It would be one star but the beer was actually pretty good. The bartender with red hair is oblivious to line queues and the karaoke guy has 1000 rules and gets chippy/frustrated when you ask him questions. Was looking for a good time for the long run but it was a very awkward one so left early. I'd recommend screening the workers that represent your brand a little better.

I would not buy beer or wine from this company or their employees. There are better options in Santa Barbara.
Had plans to go to Tony's Pizza and take it to Topa Topa. Upon our arrival at Topa Topa we observed a Black Lives Matter sign in the front window. So if this anti American group offends you as it does us, don't bother to waste your time going there. Also called them and told them that we were offended by the sign and basically they didn't care.
Just waited 25 mins to get a beer understaffed and poorly managed. Also bring a jacket there is no sunlight so it is freezing. Will never go back.
