Reception staff very friendly and helpful. We had a bungalow/ mobile home. It was clean and spacious- great , because it was raining a lot. Stayed on covered patio. Washing machines available. Restaurant good. Staff very friendly, trying to make your stay pleasant. Bus stops close to campground. Learning curve about buses!! The mini mart was our main food supply. Limited supplies, but good. The staff in there was very friendly and helpful. Overall it was quiet. The rail wasn’t an issue at all neither the close road. Yes the beach is rocky but that is nobody’s fault. I would come again and recommend this campground.
Really nice caravan apartments, and immediately on the sea. The beach is just pebbles and very rocky but you can go a short distance to some flatter sand areas. Very pleasant staff in reception and the restaurant and bar. Bus stop right outside so good connection if you haven't got a car.
We booked a bungalow (tip: bungalow 10 is the only one with seaview). Tiny bungalow with 2 sleeping rooms, a big bath room and a decent kitchen (not big though). Staff is very friendly and most of them speak English. Swimming pool was not opened when we arrived, but on the 3rd day it was open. Had an excellent dinner at the restaurant. Typical Italian food, served with a smile and at a very fair price. Good to know: al beaches are rocky, so water shoes are highly recommended. One big minus: all the beds near the pool are paid at 5 euro per day. The ones with seaview all are reserved by Italians who most of the time aren't even there. When they are they are like little children from which a toy has been taken. Great contrast to all the other Italians we've met this holiday.
There are very clean and in good condition facilities. Only pitches near the water line is really good for us. We paid for the pitch on the second line and it was very small. We have a really small caravan ~3-4 m and it was even impossible to open the tent! Other pitches with the same price are bigger. Who knows how it works. Also voltage is too low and it’s very hard to use a kettle.
It is a camping, so expect no luxuries. The mobile homes and caravans are clear and well maintained. The camping has great beach access. Staff is friendly and helpful. 30-40 minutes bus trip to Livorno.
We stayed in a bungalow. The location was ideal to travel and visit beautiful sites along the coast. Beds are comfortable, kitchen with the utilities needed to prepare own meals. Lovely bar, friendly staff, good parking conditions. The beach it's accessible from the camping. Warm water and amazing sunsets. Definitly a place to come back to
Nice, seaside camping with a whole lot of things to do. The pitch we had for our tent was nice and shady, perhaps a bit cramped for a tent + car, but we made it work. Washing facilities were decent. The people at the reception were very friendly, the people at the restaurant less so. The pool was nice, but slightly odd that you had to reserve and pay for a sunbed if you wanted to stay near the pool after a swim.
We were just passing through with our camper van (rating for rooms is irrelevant). We took the ferry from Livorno the next day (about 20min drive to the harbour). Nice spot right by the sea. For a fee you can have sea view and a private little terrace. Clean bathrooms (metered showers), pool, little shop, and restaurant. Very friendly staff. At night there were some inconsiderate noisy people around but I guess you can't choose your neighbours.
A very well organized place. We stayed in a bungalow are were impressed with how well equipped it was. The staff at the reception were nice. The mini market is a nice feature with a very friendly shopkeeper. We were kind of disappointed with the restaurant- we arrived shortly before 3pm famished after a 4-hour drive. We wanted to eat something, but no one at the restaurant spoke English (which is strange as 90% of the guests are foreigners). Somehow we understood (in a rather rude way) that the kitchen was closed. However, there are nice restaurants in the vicinity. The beach is rather narrow and with big stones- but this is normal for the region- all the other beaches are just like that.
Great campsite. Easy beach access and nice facilities. Others have mentioned the road as well, which is a bit noisy but if you are on one of the inner pitches it probably isn’t an issue. We slept fine even though we were near it. The swim cap rule in the pool also seems very odd, but perhaps it is normal in the area? Staff are very friendly, can offer local advice and speak a range of languages.
Very nice camping. Staff is very welcoming and tents places are good and spacious. The beach is pretty close but is made out of rocks. For those who prefer sand, a mini-beach / tanning area has been built in the camping, which is very nice. The sanitary facilities are very clean. The showers are timed, which is not a bad idea, but the pauses are also timed, which seems silly provided how many showers there are and how few are busy at the same time.
Nicely located at the sea. The motorway and train tracks are very loud though, all through the night. The site is not suitable for tents, as there is barely grass, but only gravel (tent pegs did not hold in the ground). The direct access to the sea is very convenient for a swim and the first row camp spots have a nice view.
We stayed here for 2 nights in a camper. We might as well have stayed on a motorway in terms of noise. Many of the pitches are not 10m from the very busy main road into Livorno. We moved after one night to the second row, but honestly it didn’t make a difference. Apart from being difficult to sleep, during the day you literally cannot hear each other speak over the traffic in at least the first 3 rows nearest the main road. The location is not good. It’s about a 10km bike ride to get to Livorno which physically for us was no problem as we’re mountain bikers (not ebikers) but Livorno was possibly the ugliest city I’ve ever seen and the bike ways to the city are a disgrace. The “beach” at the campsite is not a beach. It’s stone slab which admittedly is typical for the coast line. You have to hire a lounger and umbrella for any comfort. (€5 per lounger and for the umbrella). You can drag your own chairs down the steps and sit on them but you will be “judged”. We hired, which was ok as we only did it once but if you’re staying longer it basically adds €15 a day to the price of the campsite. The bathrooms were ok for us. We didn’t eat at the restaurant as it didn’t look great and the lighting was hideous. There were a ton of mosquitoes here and it really wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. Cannot recommend.
Our reservated pitch was not prepered when we arrived. The entrance to the sea is terrible, big stones, ugly dirty sea and you have to go down stairs to get to the “beach”. You cannot walk anywhere from the campsite (it is located on busy road, no restaurants or shops nearby - except for those in the campsite). Bathrooms weren’t always clean, a soap was missing all the time. The showers can only be used with a card given you by staff on reception. The campsite is not suitable for little kids (because of the sea, showers and occasional noise). Pitches are SO small and the roads in the campsite are tight, everyone had problems with driving and parking (impossible without a mover). Two stars for kind staff at the reception and the beautiful view.
Very noisy due to the big road and train (feels like you’re camped on the emergency lane of the highway). We were charged with extra electricity costs for using >500W (when only using a portable watercooker, strange)! Absolutely not suited for tents because of the stone underground. We had to attach out tent to the car to keep up since tent pegs can’t be used. Toilets and showers only clean early in the morning or late in the night. (Only 400s of showertime a day) For this all we paid >€90 for 2 nights with a tent. (2persons) Certainly NOT recomment this campsite! (Staff is friendly tho)
The sanitair is nasty, stinky and cold. Bad services, the food at the restaurant is horrible and taste like cheap frozen meals. At the pool you need to pay 18 euro's for a 2 person bed p/day or 8 euro's for a single one. They demanded a deposit of 10 euro, but it was nowhere notifed
We booked a four-person bungalow, but upon check-in, we were asked to pay extra for two children aged seven and ten. The bathroom door is broken and cannot be closed. The sink is clogged and drains slowly. There were dirty disposable cups in the wardrobe in the room. The kitchen hood is dirty and clogged. The photos on the booking website do not correspond to reality. They have been heavily edited.
This place is not good. Beach is rocky, artificial, contains rubble and debris, water almost inaccessible. Power outlets at some camper pitches limited to 500W. Electricity system generally not in good condition. „Pool bar“ serves drinks you are not allowed to take to the pool. Pool is „included“ but sun beds are extra and there are just a few. Leaves you without any seats around the pool. Restaurant is overbooked and cannot accommodate enough guests from the site. Showers with only cold water in peak hours. Lot of noise from nearby street and railway. Positively I have to mention employees at the reception which have been very flexible and friendly. We won’t come back.
Dear MiraMare Management, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with our recent stay at your campsite. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations in several key areas. First, we were not informed during the reservation process that our tent would be located close to a very busy road, with noise continuing even at night. Had we known this, we would have reconsidered our booking. When we sought assistance from the reception team, we found them unhelpful. The manager, rather than addressing our concerns directly, communicated through the receptionist, which led to a frustrating and unprofessional exchange. At no point did the manager come to speak with us in person, despite our presence. Additionally, our experience at your restaurant was equally disappointing. Although there were many free tables upon our arrival, we were told that we could not be accommodated for lunch. The staff was rude, and the atmosphere in the restaurant felt unfriendly. To make matters worse, the tables at the bar were dirty, further diminishing our experience. The only positive aspect of our stay was the friendly and welcoming staff at the mini market, who provided excellent service. We understand that you may have many guests during this busy period, but this should not come at the expense of customer care. We are locals, and based on this experience, we would not recommend your campsite to our friends and family. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve the experience for future guests. Sincerely,
We were very dissatisfied. The worst parking place under the pool, noise from the filter non-stop. In the night from 2 to 4, the scream of a drunk woman and an argument with other guests. The water in the shower was only cold, I couldn't wash the children. We stayed one night with a caravan - price 41 euros. The worst night I've ever had!
