Convenient restaurant on the main road, very good tagliatelle with mushrooms, fair price, air conditioning inside not working, barely adequate parking, a small misunderstanding led us to eat the polenta and ragù starter at the end of the meal.

This is a solid place to go to when you have a large party. The food is decent, and the service is solid. Ordered a Pizza Margherita and received it 5mins after ordering. No complaints really.

A quick bite-and-go restaurant in Santa Maria Maggiore. Classic, unpretentious tourist menu. Reservations are recommended, as it gets packed, especially during the Christmas market season. In any case, I think it deserves a passing grade.

Another ultra-thin pizza in the Valley. No chance to have the proper crust and tickness. Anyway, the patio is pleasant (even if is on the parking place); ingredients are good (flour is coming from the Vigevano Mill); wine is locally self produced; menu available in German and English. Forget about desserts, they were the worse side of the dinner.

Takeout pizza: terrible. No one in the three of us could finish it. The ingredients weren't fresh, in my opinion. €27, 2 prosciutto and mushroom pizzas and 1 baby pizza. The baby pizza was 20 cm in diameter (never seen anything like it). The receipt was NOT a tax receipt; the owner looked at it several times but didn't understand.

On Sunday, October 5th, we went to Santa Maria Maggiore for the Bovina exhibition. We went to this osteria for lunch, which was initially quite busy, so we certainly assumed there would be a bit of a wait. But being greeted by a waitress who hysterically told us they were short-staffed and that we shouldn't complain about the wait was definitely not entirely professional, nor a warm welcome. Anyway, shortly afterward, we ordered... we had no problem with the wait, except that three tables after us were seated, ordered after us, and started drinking and eating before us. We asked the waitress if something had been forgotten, and sure enough, she brought our drinks right after... time passed, and we still had to call someone from the staff because nothing we'd ordered arrived. I personally would have gotten up and left the table, but the person with me was far too polite and respectful and didn't want to, but you deserved it. My dish arrived first, and after a while, my friend's dish. Meanwhile, a new table sits behind us. There was a guy standing around looking around, so we let him know that we still had one more course to go and that a table behind us had been waiting a while to order. I pointed out that at that point, the number of people had significantly decreased. Shortly afterward, the people behind us, rightfully, got up and left annoyed. We received our last dish. My friend went inside to pay, complaining about the service, which was practically nonexistent. During all this, I watched an annoyed employee come out to find out which table we were at when we hadn't even been given a note or anything. I don't think I've ever had such a terrible meal! The food was good, nothing special, but for everything else, it's definitely not a place I'd recommend or set foot in again. Review your staff!
