We had the most wonderful Valentine’s dinner tonight at Kings of Kobe! My husband ordered the 10oz ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes, and it was cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I had the salmon with asparagus and coconut rice, and it was just as amazing. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired so well with the coconut rice. The drinks were also a 10/10 — perfectly made and the perfect touch to our special night. Everything from the food to the atmosphere made our Valentine’s dinner date as busy parents so special. We’ll definitely be back!
I visited this restaurant for the first time and participated in their restaurant week deal. I arrived earlier than my dinner reservation and had a wonderful margarita at the bar. Kudos to the bartender, whose name I didn't get. Rocco was our waiter, and he was very sweet and explained all of the options thoroughly. I had the skewers, steak and bread pudding and everything was delicious.
I went with the classic burger since it was my first visit. It was absolutely delicious! The temperature was perfect, the chipotle mayo had the right amount of kick but not overpowering. I added the bacon to it as well it was amazing. The battered fries were extra crispy. And I tried the banana pudding which did not miss either. Overall a delicious experience and I will be back.
I finally got to come here after wanting to come here for ages. We had booked a reservation a few days in advance for the all you can eat waygu but given that there seemed to be a decent amount of available tables when we came in, I imagine that we could've got a table without a reservation. The waygu itself was cooked good and around the cook that we wanted (medium rare). The waygu is American waygu, not as famous as Japanese waygu and to my basic and uncultured taste buds, I found the waygu to taste similar to normal steak. For the fries, we opted for all 3 versions; the regular fries, Parmesan truffle fries and onion rings. All three of these were tasty so no complaints in that regard. The two sauces that they gave, butter sauce and chimmichuri, were both good, especially the chimmichuri. My buddies and I came here with the intentions of going through at least 8 rounds of steak but after 5 rounds, we just couldn't eat anymore. To the restaurant's credit, they were attentive with the rounds. After we got the first round of steak, it was about 5 minutes later when we were asked if we were ready for the next round. After receiving the second round, it would be about another 5 or so minutes before you were asked about the next round. The service was great, we were constantly getting checked up on and consistently had our water refilled which I loved. Our server was very friendly, although I don't know his name. Overall, it was a great experience and honestly not a bad deal for the money, especially in Manhattan. Don't come here expecting Gallaghers level of food and you'll be more than satisfied. The dress code itself seemed to be casual, sneakers and jeans and such. A lady near me had a winter hat on and I myself had a ball cap on the entire time I was there. I myself appreciate the casual dress code, since normal people don't like wearing dress shoes/heels when there's snow and ice on the pavement.
King of Kobe was an amazing experience from start to finish. The quality of the meat, the flavor, and the cooking were all excellent. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was great. Everything felt fresh and well prepared. As soon as your meat arrives, order another round right away — that way the meat comes much faster. Highly recommended!
My experience at Kings of Kobe was truly outstanding. The steaks were absolutely perfect — juicy, cooked to precise perfection, and packed with unforgettable flavor. The desserts were delightfully indulgent, the kind you simply can’t stop eating even when you’re full. The service was exceptional: the manager, Itay, made sure everything ran smoothly and at the highest standard, and our awesome waiter Alfredo brought great energy and a big smile to the entire experience. Professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming — just perfect. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and an excellent dining experience!
Great dinning option for the streak lovers. Their unlimited steak for two hours deal is tough to beat and the portions eat round are generous. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff was friendly and attentive. The steak itself was tender and delicious. They included fries and onion rings with the steak with the option to upgrade to vegetables. Overall a good choice and would recommend.
Welcome to Kings of Kobe! Reporting live from Wagyu heaven on Manhattan’s Westside, where Japanese & American Wagyu rule the menu. I linked up with a friend to run through this menu. Here’s what went down… Here’s what went down: Tuna Ceviche Tacos – Fresh tuna in crispy wonton shells. Light start before the beef feast. Wagyu-Yaki Skewers – Melt in your mouth flavor bombs. Quality in every bite. A5 Ribeye (8oz) – Ribeye is my favorite cut, and this one hit every note. Pure Wagyu magic. Duke of Lux Burger – Recommended by our waiter. Juicy, rich, one of the best burgers I’ve had. Filet Mignon (8oz) – Kimmy’s pick. Classic, tender, flawless. I had to steal a piece! Brownie Explosion – Warm brownie, cookie dough, ice cream. Layers on layers of dessert chaos. Kings of Kobe even run a $65 unlimited Wagyu steak & fries deal (wild right?!) plus rice bowls if you want to switch it up. The verdict? Kings of Kobe earned that crown. Whether you go steak or burger, you can’t miss!
I had one of the most unforgettable dining experiences at this Wagyu Japanese restaurant. From start to finish, everything was executed with perfection. The pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly balanced between richness and flavor, while the steak was nothing short of spectacular—juicy, buttery, and bursting with umami in every bite. It was, without question, among the very best steaks I’ve ever had. The real surprise, though, was the truffle fries. Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and infused with truffle aroma, they were simply addictive—the best I have ever tried anywhere. On top of the outstanding food, the presentation and service were equally impressive. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and the staff made sure the whole evening felt special. If you’re looking for a place where every bite is an experience, this restaurant delivers in every way. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Japanese Wagyu and unforgettable flavors.
I had a hard time making an appt for a large group. However, the food was very good and the service we received was very good. They even gave us free desserts. What restaurant in NYC gives free desserts. All of the good services made up for the difficulty in getting a reservation. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will mot be disappointed.
The only downside of this place is the location, ofc from my perspective, as it is by the Hudson not anywhere directly located to a train station. We had the giant mozzarella stick, and two Wagyu burgers. In my opinion the mozzarella stick is fun but not needed. It is fried and dusted with Parmesan (the pre-grated kind I think), and the outer shell is tooo hard. It does have a wow effect with its elasticity. The burgers were Duke of Lux and We’re Jammin. You know a good burger when you have one. The pictures speak for themselves. Btw, add the egg, the jiggly eggs were divine and the layers are just purrrrrrfect. My friend also said that the truffle fries were wonderful. Crispy and truffly. Just wish they have a location near my residential area.
Had a great experience here when we came for their $60 unlimited ribeye steak dinner. It was very much worth the price since it also came with unlimited onion rings and choice of fries which were delicious and two sauces, herb butter and chimichiri. The steak itself was very good although at time it was cooked slightly unevenly. We ordered medium rare some parts of the steak we found were more cooked than others. Regardless it was good. The flaky salt on top was nice touch. We also ordered a side of asparagus which we enjoyed. The service was good and attentive. Would definitely come back to try other items on their menu.
Kings of Kobe specializes in high-quality Wagyu burgers and hot dogs, offering a rich, flavorful experience. The atmosphere is Casual, modern, and stylish, but can get crowded during peak hours! I'm amazed by how big their burgers are. This is my first trying out this place for burgers. The burgers were juicy and the fries crispy. Staff was very attentive and even recommended me what burgers to order. I got the Duke of Lux Burger and Queens Rule burger. This spot is great for gourmet burger lovers, but pricey for budget-conscious or classic burger fans.
Just delicious. Wonderful combinations of spice and sweet. Fantastic meats from Wagyu to a perfect pork chop. The Duck Pizza delights in the smell as it arouses your taste buds before you bite into it...sublime deliciousness. Tuna taco fresh with Wasabi crunch...fab. Wagyu burgers are the main treat so we wandered off the menu. Will return for my own duck pizza. End with the brownie dessert. Powerful punch of sweet and salty. Wonderful wait staff. Terrific service. Summer night of tough decision..indoor or out. Very busy from tourists off Circle Line so do make a reservation if you can. Nice bar if you have to wait ....the smells from the kitchen make it hard to wait...so book ahead please as you don't want to miss this local gem.
Kings of Kobe is still a solid spot, but things have changed. I used to come mainly for their burgers, which were incredible, but the quality has dropped noticeably over time. They’re still good, just not at the standout level they once were. That said, the new all-you-can-eat Wagyu steak option is a nice addition. It’s actually quite decent — flavorful, tender, and definitely good value if you’re hungry. The sides and overall atmosphere remain enjoyable, and the service is generally friendly and efficient. Overall, Kings of Kobe is still worth visiting, especially for the Wagyu experience, but I do hope they bring the burger quality back to what it used to be.
We recently visited King Kobe Wagyu Kitchen for their all-you-can-eat wagyu experience. The restaurant is located in a pretty rookie site, but don’t let that fool you—once you step inside, the ambiance is surprisingly nice and well put together. The servers were attentive and friendly throughout our meal, making sure we had everything we needed. We started with the wagyu, where you can actually choose your preferred level of doneness—a nice touch. The quality of the wagyu was excellent, tender, and flavorful. The all-you-can-eat deal also includes unlimited fries, truffle fries, and onion rings, which were all delicious and freshly made. We ordered five trays of wagyu in total, and every single one was consistently good. The only downsides were that the water was surprisingly expensive and that they automatically add a 20% tip to the bill, which felt a bit excessive and should have been more clearly communicated. Overall, if you’re a wagyu lover looking for a great dining experience, King Kobe Wagyu Kitchen delivers on food and service—just be prepared for the extra charges.
Delicious. Food was delicious. Service was great. 10/10, but would not return. If you don’t finish your food they do not allow you to take it nor do they have a shelter program. They just toss it. That’s an awful business practice (beef consumption is huge climate change contributor). Update- All love, the place serves good food! Business responded to my review and I just need to add food waste is still a key piece of their business model— and so if you don’t typically clean your plate— perhaps this isn’t the place.
Good meat… but, Kobe beef is a stretch. The first plate was lean New York cut, 2 & 3rd mainly Rib-Eyes that were fatty with a LOT of gristle. They boost a special of $55 before 5:30 - yet, upon arrival… that deal is not offered. Not a big $& difference - but, bait & switch is a major pev of mine. Overall, good… not great food. Ambiance & staff were very nice.
Came in with a group of 5 on a Sunday night. First we ordered the “giant mozzarella stick”, which was definitely nice for my friend to take pictures of, but that was about it. It was more or less hard as a rock, and it was beyond bland. we all ordered the Wagyu all you can eat.First order came out cold, very dry, and unseasoned. The solution was to use either the chimichurri or butter they provide, but I really wish I could have tasted the actual wagyu i came for instead of a generic sauce I can have at home (or putting butter on wagyu BUT hey maybe I’m just pretentious). The second serving of steak we ordered was warm, but that was about the only improvement I noticed. Also, drinks were a bit underwhelming and felt like they got water down EXTREMELY fast. I ordered an old fashioned and it was filled to the brim tiny ice cubes and by the time I went for my third sip it was like I was drinking water that someone dropped whiskey into on accident. Service was nice and attentive, and bussers were constantly making sure everything was clean which was very nice (silverware, glasses, plates and all were definitely spotless I never worried about cleanliness which was nice!) all in all though I felt that for what I paid I definitely did not get the value (but maybe I didn’t order the right things!). Maybe a nice place for the lunch hour special but not exactly the experience I was led to believe I would receive.
I went to Kings of Kobe solo and got the Unlimited Steak. The food was good and the service was just as solid. No complaints about the quality of the meal. What completely ruined the experience was the automatic 20% gratuity added to my bill, even though I was dining alone. I was a solo guest, and tipping should be a gesture of gratitude, not something that’s required or forced. Adding an automatic tip for one person feels unfair and honestly a bit greedy. Even for all you can eat... Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Good food doesn’t justify that kind of policy. If you're dining solo getting an unlimited, be prepared to pay extra whether you want to or not.
