My sister and I came to check out this spot during Virginia Beach restaurant week. Literally everything we had was freaking delicious! The raw oysters are to die for, seriously, they might be the best I’ve had in the area! The staff was wonderful, and even though they were busy, we did not feel rushed to finish and move on. The food was delicious, I definitely want to go back and check out their regular food. I’ve heard they have a fabulous happy hour, that will be on the agenda for next visit!
Malik was absolutely the best! We had about a 1.5-hour wait and grabbed seats in the waiting area, expecting to just pass the time. Malik came over and kindly let us know we could order drinks while we waited — and from that moment on, he completely elevated our experience. He was incredibly attentive, warm, and helpful. What could have felt like a long wait flew by because he made sure we were taken care of the entire time. We actually ended up ordering directly from him so we could enjoy happy hour, and before we knew it, the waiting area turned into our dining space. We ordered everything we wanted right there in the bar overflow area and never once felt overlooked or in the way. The best part? When we were finally seated, we mentioned to another couple how amazing Malik was — and they immediately said they’d had him before and loved him too. That’s why they keep coming back! Malik truly made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Keep up the awesome work — we will definitely be back! Visiting from North Carolina 💛
Our favorite date night place. The oysters are amazing and we love the tapas style of the other items in the menu. Highly recommend and the staff is great. Just a warning that there usually is a wait but you can get a drink at the bar while waiting.
Delicious! Happy hour was amazing. The oysters Rockefeller were the best I’ve ever had. The oysters pacific were yum. Very fresh raw oysters. Can’t wait to come back!
The Atlantic on Pacific is hands down one of the best spots in town for happy hour and oysters. The oysters were incredibly fresh, big, and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality. The spicy margarita was also amazing and perfectly balanced. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and top notch seafood. Highly recommend if you’re an oyster lover.
Atlantic on Pacific is a solid stop if you like seafood done right. You start with oysters, and they taste fresh, cold, and clean, with a clear briny bite and no heavy extras. The baked scallops come out hot with a light crust and a soft center, and three pieces feel filling. The salmon crudo is sliced thin with citrus and oil that keep the fish front and center. You notice the quality right away. Service stays steady, water glasses stay full, and plates clear fast. The room stays calm, so you can talk without raising your voice. You leave satisfied, not weighed down, and already thinking about coming back for oysters at the bar.
Did a walk in pick up order to go. The inside atmosphere is so nice. The staff were wonderful. My food came out quickly. I got oyester Rockefeller and OMG how delicious probably the best I've had and I love ordering this from restaurants. Came with some sauces also that just made it top notch. Im sitting here thinking of going to get more. I highly recommend
We ended our day at the oceanfront craving fresh mussels. After trying three other restaurants where the vibe just didn’t feel right, we stumbled across The Atlantic on Pacific—and it was the perfect find. The restaurant was buzzing with energy—it was Labor Day weekend and packed—but the hosts welcomed us warmly. Once we mentioned we were locals simply looking for fresh mussels, they went out of their way to accommodate us, seating us at a handmade wooden table with a view of the entire restaurant. From there, we could see the flow of both guests and staff. What stood out was how seamlessly the staff worked together, smiling, laughing, and interacting with patrons like family. When our food arrived, it was steaming hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Every bite was a reminder of why we chose to wait for the right place. The mussels were perfectly cooked, and the sides paired beautifully. Our server, Ivy, was a ray of sunshine—her energy, positivity, and attentiveness elevated our dining experience and made it unforgettable. 🌊 The Atlantic on Pacific is truly a gem at the oceanfront. If you’re searching for fresh seafood, warm vibes, and service that makes you feel at home, this is a must-try.
Exceptional Happy Hour selection of food and drinks. Fast, attentive, friendly service. (TY Marcus!) Excellent food! The fried pickles are devine with the homemade ranch (one of the best I've ever had). Clean restrooms. Parking a bit of a pain. But that wouldn't deter me from coming back again and again.
Went for happy hour and loved it. Very crowded but for good reason. Great food, great service. We got there at 3:30 and it was a 40 minute wait for 2. Just plan accordingly and it will be great.
I'm a chef & well traveled foodie who thrives on quality food, creative pairings, memorable experiences. I adore a great happy hour. New & clueless to Va Beach, I tried many on my own, via Google maps searches. They were adequate but just meh. My only native friend suggested we meet at ATLANTIC on PACIFIC… Surprisingly it checked all my boxes & made me a regular! Their #HappyHour is unmatched, with quality offerings, drinks too! HH DRINKS: Their $6 old-fashioned is OTC for an old classic, complete with Luxardo Italian cherries! And yes, I said SIX DOLLARS! 😍 If you prefer contemporary craft cocktails, they generously have more than a dozen top shelf libations. I’ve found in my limited time here, this sets them apart from the typical offerings of others (beer, wine, a margarita) 🥱! HH MENU: If you like shellfish, they have many for HH & I ❤️their oysters! Make sure you try the oysters Chesepeake, spicy chili, or bacon parm. My personal fave: chorizo with manchego!💥 A dbl patty cheeseburger & fries is both filling and a HH staple, also for just $6! PRO-TIP: A career in fine dining gives me elevated expectations & a more critical eye than most. I abhor mediocre service & substandard food, even when balls to wall busy. The details matter and I’ve never been disappointed here… These things make ATLANTIC on PACIFIC understandably popular from 3-6 PM. The only CON is the high table demand and noise level from 4 to 7 PM HH IS BUSY: I now live on the beach, a block away, and have learned to slip in there at 3-ish during the week or anytime on cloudy or rainy weekends. No wait at then but it is crowded & often loud at peak times. But hey, this is the beach and Neptune Park, (the colossal, King Neptune, bronze sculpture, in fabulous detail) is a 4 minute walk so do some exploring if you have a wait for happy hour! PARKING: usually a pain in the ass at the 🏖️, but their valet lot is just steps from the entrance or you can park in the free garage one block away. **Just 2 days ago I brought my elderly, old-fashioned loving, aunt in & our experience was above & beyond. Our server, Marcuswas exceptional, helpful, & friendly w/ spot on suggestions that hit home. He deserves a shout out! 🙏 Thanks Marcus 🫶 2 cocktails and an oyster combo platter (or double cheesebu allows a great time for just $20 before tip ~~~~~ Update: just rec Marcus ad the regular menu. The baked scallops were fantastic, often overcooked at other places. The mussels are in a traditionally classic wine broth, simple to prepare, but PERFECTLY seasoned!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We LOVE this place! Today we were lucky to have Ivy as our server — she was so pleasant, sweet, and welcoming. If you’re in Virginia Beach, this is a must-stop spot for oyster and seafood lovers! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served with great vibes. Thank you, Ivy, for the wonderful service — we’ll definitely be back! 🦪💙 And let me NOT forget Bon Voyage, Insly! 🌍✨ What a joy it was to have you serve with us tonight before you set out to travel the world! Help the Byrds wish her nothing but success, protection, and blessings — from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. May every step be guided, every journey be safe, and every destination bring joy and growth. Congratulations, Insly — go shine around the world! 💫 Yes we left and came back and had to contuine Happy Hour ! A great place
Pretty solid dining experience at The Atlantic. Started with four oysters rock and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. The blini’s were a big hit with my wife and the sweet potatoes biscuits were my favorite. Also had a special, Lobster pierogis in a beer cheese… quite lovely. The burger came up in a Hampton Roads best burger list, so I had to try it (plus it’s 6 bucks for happy hour… what are we doing?) It was pretty damn good, definitely not the best in the 757 (sorry but LeGrand holds that title). All in all a great experience… my only critique was the dust in the ceiling. A piece fell into our drink and then again towards the end of the meal, a piece fell onto the table. And you could see it built up around the vents… my advice to the owner would be to clean up there more often.
Amazing happy hour prices and experience I could’ve fed a family of 4 for $50, that’s extremely rare nowadays. I’m typically picky about fried oysters as I usually love fresh breaded panko oysters but this place hits the spot. The $9 Smash burger was amazing it also came with fries which is a phenomenal deal, even my girl who usually doesn’t eat burgers loved it and kept stealing bites. I don’t write reviews anymore as I am lazy but I wrote this one as a warning to those who plan on coming anytime soon as they’ll be closed for remodeling until the 12th of February.
We had a great experience here. We ordered oysters and tapas style dishes. It’s fun to try a lot of different things. We had some delicious drinks too. This is a great brunch spot. It’s pricey but we really enjoyed it. Excellent service too. Thanks for a great experience!
I've never had a miss here. The happy hour is THE happy hour in Virginia Beach. $1 baked oysters? Hell yes. Now, do expect a wait if you go during happy hour. But if you get in, it's like living in a world of coastal tapas. If you like sharing food or eating smaller bites, you HAVE to come here. The drinks are always creative and so good. If it's a party of two, call. If it's bigger than a party of two, go through Open Table.
Just an absolute delight. Absolutely every dish we ordered was very well done, everything from the sashimi to my daughter's lobster with Mac and cheese. The ultimate seafood platter was served here with a finger licking variety of seafood. The server was great and we would highly recommend this seafood restaurant to anyone who appreciates quality meal.
The happy hour deal is such a steal — oyster freedom achieved! Super fresh and delicious! The wait time was around 40 minutes on average, but totally worth it!
Really cool relaxed vibe but great for a date night. They have valet which is great since it is in a busy area. We had all of the oysters and everything was delicious 😋
Everytime I come to virginia beach I come here! It's one of my favorite restaurants in the area. All the food I've tried has been so good, and I love their oyster happy hour. Also, the servers I had at the bar area were great as well.
I came here for the happy hour (3 pm - 6 pm) after reading all the reviews online. A clear winner. The $6 double smash burger was sensational, and the fries were perfectly crispy. The Oysters Rock were sublime ! A definite recommendation. The old bay oysters were enjoyable, as well as the Oyster Chesapeake. I ordered Steamed Clams, which were tasty, but I personally preferred the Oysters. The interior design is very appealing, and service is seriously top-notch. Ivy was an amazing waitress; professional, quick, and very attentive. One thing to note is the parking. It is valet only, and they work off tips. There is no set price. We ended up parking street side nearby. It's just something to consider as it may be a slight inconvenience. All in all, The Atlantic is a definite must!
Best meal 🥘 in Virginia Beach this Labor Day weekend! Enjoyed sitting at the raw bar for our dozen oysters + 4 more “laughing king” oysters 🦪 locally sourced & recommended by the staff - didn’t disappoint 🤩 Thank you 😊 Atlantic on Pacific!
One of best dinners i've ever had. An hour waiting on Saturday night is inevitable but worthwhile if you can find a bench seat. Summer essentials were tasty for cocktails. Steak tartare, scallops, risotto, and lobster rolls are my recommendation. One downside is that foods are generally salty slightly and come in small portions.
What a great place to spend Happy Hour! Ashley M was attentive, our food arrived piping hot and the drinks kept flowing! I especially enjoyed the Lavender Haze which was amazing. The oysters on the half shell were tasty and reminded me of happy hours spent hunting oysters straight off the rocks. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food! and server could follow request! We asked for the branzino to not have any spices, just baked due to our son's dietary restrictions. It came out perfect and was a good portion size for the cost. We had happy hour burger and beer, which was good, and also the The Bay platter from their raw bar menu. Everything was great!.
Oysters Rock and Seared Wahoo were awesome! Thanks to Mia for the excellent service. Mashed potatoes with creamed spinach was incredible.
The service, food, and atmosphere were outstanding!!! It was a 110 degrees heat index outside, the place was packed, but it was very comfortable inside. The staff was friendly and attentive. We tried a bit of everything from then fresh raw oysters to the entrees. The baked scallops and lobster tails were phenomenal. I highly recommend this place! We will be back!
We loved this place! Food is great and staff are super friendly! A big shout out to Tasha! She was amazing!
The food was delicious! The portions for the kids meals were perfect for kids while the crab cake only had 1 medium sized cake and a broccoli salad (which was great). The crab hush puppies came with 6 but were surprisingly filling. A+ on the Nashville hot chicken though I would recommend getting the hot sauce and trying it first because it had a bit of a weird flavor with the heat. Mocktails were also great.
Came here for happy hour and had the best time! The food was incredible, the oysters were so fresh and only $1 each during happy hour, the cocktails were delicious and so creative, and our server Ivy was so sweet and attentive! My fiancé and I ended up sitting at a cocktail table and ordering a bunch of dishes to split, it was fairly busy but the service was still amazing.
This was by far the best food we’ve had at Virginia Beach. The two cocktails we got were sophisticated and delicious but the clean, crisp oysters stole the show. They had a wide variety and were all sooo tasty/the descriptions were accurate. I recommend the ones from Canada. Best oysters we’ve ever had. We got the caviar, calamari, and trout pate. Would order it all again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this place!
Delicious food, no wait when we arrived. Parked a 0.1mi away on the street. Brought family to splurge on lunch, worth the trip! Whole Red Snapper, choice of oysters and mussels, and splitting a dessert was the move!
The Atlantic on Pacific was a fantastic choice for a night out! My friend and I started with their fresh oysters, which were absolutely amazing—perfectly chilled and bursting with flavor. We also tried a few of their unique appetizers, and each one was a delightful surprise with creative flavors and beautiful presentation. The atmosphere was chic yet inviting, and the service was top-notch. It’s a great spot for anyone who loves seafood and innovative dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience!
We love to hit The Atlantic when in VA Beach. You really cannot beat their happy hour. Excellent oyster selection and drinks. My husband also got the $6 burger and fries. Our server was friendly and attentive. Always an excellent experience.
Worth the wait. We didn't have reservations for a group of 5, so we had to wait. The wait was worth it. This is a dining experience. They were not pushy and we were there for almost 2 hours enjoying the company and food. Highly recommend going during happy hour - $1 oysters!
Had lunch here with my husband earlier today. The service was impeccable! We ordered a bunch of items but my favorite was the pork and shrimp dumpling & the Caesar salad with anchovies. Very fresh, bright. The pork dumpling were the best dumpling I’ve ever had. Oh, the warm goat cheese appetizer was incredible as well! There were several items on the menu I wanted to try so we will be back soon!
I would start by their great service, they got us in immediately. The food was yummy” was our first time trying raw oysters” I prefer the cooked thou, the calamari sauce was sweet, if it was on the side it would been better.
Great place good foot but the menu is limited outside of oysters. We had several small items that where very good. So check the menu before you commit.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Delicious Coastal Cuisine and Creative Cocktails The Atlantic on Pacific offers an elevated dining experience for those who appreciate raw bar favorites, creative small plates, and expertly crafted cocktails. We visited recently and were really impressed by the quality and presentation of the food. We started with the cucumber salad and beet salad, both of which were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated — light, refreshing starters that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The dozen oysters were a definite highlight — incredibly fresh, expertly shucked, and served with all the right accompaniments. The shrimp and chorizo empanada was packed with flavor and had a perfectly crisp exterior. The cocktails were just as impressive as the food. Each drink felt carefully crafted and complemented the dishes well. While the menu leans toward the pricier side, the quality and ambiance make it worth the splurge for a nice night out. That said, the service didn’t quite match the food — our server was efficient but not especially friendly, and the valet staff seemed a bit indifferent. Still, the excellent food and drinks carried the experience, and we left satisfied. Overall, The Atlantic on Pacific is a great choice if you're looking for a unique raw bar and tapas experience with top-tier flavors. We’d definitely return!
I stepped into this charming place for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It is located just a short walk from the Hilton hotel. The dining area was bustling with customers so I was lucky to find a seat at the bar. The menu was extensive with a wide variety of dishes. I ordered the lobster roll with a side of fries and a Southside cocktail. The lobster roll wasn’t bad; but in my opinion it tasted like cold imitation lobster salad. The fries were good and the cocktail was delicious. I enjoyed the laidback atmosphere and friendly staff. I definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to return on my next visit to Virginia Beach.
The happy hour oysters were great! $1 for any choice of 6 different styles of prepared oysters (minimum of 3 per). We filled up tapas-style with oysters, shrimp cocktail, low country boiled, crab legs, steak tartare, pork/shrimp/kimchi dumplings, and oh did I mention oysters? Two of us ate 30 of them.
Overall a pretty great place to dine! We ordered 9 oysters of 3 different types (Pocahontas, Rappahannock, and Chunu) and the sizes for the Rappahannock were inconsistent, but it and the Chunu tasted great. The Pocahontas was big regarding the shell, but the meat’s freshness was a bit inconsistent (one out of the three dryer than should be) so I would rate their oysters 8/10. But their scallops were really good, baked and in the scallop ceviche starter. Atmosphere would be 5 stars except they had a leaky roof with people going in and out. Overall, good restaurant to eat and decent prices.
My Family and I decided to take a trip to Virginia Beach 2 days ago. We saw good reviews about The Atlantic restaurant so decided to try it. It appears that they do not take reservations so we had to do a walk in. There was already a lot of people there waiting to be seated, so we had to wait a little over 45 minutes before a table was available. Our server, Malik, was personable, professional, and very helpful in answering our questions about the dishes. We ordered several food items and a couple drinks from the menu. Our food came out within a reasonable timeframe. The fried oysters were bland by themselves, but with the sauce, they were really good. The hush puppies were just OK; not as flavorful as I imagined they would be. Also, there was an insufficient amount of crab. They were fantastic when eaten with the jalapeño though. The baked scallops were very flavorful, and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The combination of flavors in your mouth with the cheese on top made it a very good blend. The steamed mussels were also good. The mussels paired well with the wine sauce. The portion size for this dish was great. The accompanying bread made for great dipping into the sauce. The portion size for some items were small with the exception of the steamed mussels which had a great portion size. All dishes had great texture and consistency. We had a great time overall.
The baked scallops was delicious and creamy plus the presentation was beautiful. The crab dip with the naan was so good and had so much flaky crab. The old bay chips were crunchy and seasoned. I liked the Mexican corn especially with the hot red peppers but they should have used fresh corn instead of canned and added more mayonnaise and Tajin would have made it better and worth the $10.
The crab cakes hush puppy was interesting. Not what was expecting. Snow crab was a little smaller than I thought. this was more like a bar hanging out spot with seafood more than a kid friendly seafood restaurant.
Very nice seafood restaurant with amazing service. Definitely go for happy hour during week ( 3pm to 6pm) and try the oysters. The burger was good also. I enjoyed the seafood pot pie as well. Great for family and friends or dates or solo. Definitely a MUST TRY!!
Happy Hour Oysters are amazing. Stay with the fried and the garlic butter. That chorizo one was horrible. Definitely DON'T do that one. Deviled eggs were pretty good. Tasted like they just had salt and pepper in them. No pizzazz. But a fried oyster and deviled egg combo was a flavor explosion. So definitely try that. Would eat here again
The big thing for me is the food. It was less than I expected it. The atmosphere was pretty good. The place was vibrant and really well designed. 5/5 The welcoming staff was solid and super helpful, as well as the waitress who was taking care of us before we got seated. They're the ones who really pulled this score up. 5/5 Our waiter leaves a bit to be desired. He seemed stand offish and didn't leave room for conversation. Which means I couldn't ask follow up questions about the special. Just seemed a bit cold. I tried to make eye contact but he was just looking past us. That was the vibe from start to finish. From when we sat down to when he handed us the dress. Like he had to do his job, he didn't have to like it. The service in it off itself was solid, we got our food quick and drinks refilled. That's the core of the score. 3/5 The food for me was disappointing. I was so looking for a low country boil, I googled places and this was the place highlighted. It wasn't plenty and too neat. Kinda lost that family vibe of low country boil. Eating it on newspaper, with your hands, telling stories... It just got a little too fancy. 3/5
I have enjoyed going for happy hour specials in the past. I brought out of town guests for lunch on August 30, 2025. My guest ordered a double cheeseburger but asked if he could have it wrapped in lettuce instead of on a bun. Our waiter, Ben, was polite but said “the best I can do is bring it with no bun.” Next, my guest asked if he could get vegetables instead of fries. The waiter said, “the best I could do is to give you a broccoli salad (containing sugar and raisins) for a $3 up charge”. It seemed like the restaurant was unwilling to accommodate minor requests for low cost low carb options. I found myself apologizing to my guests for choosing the place this time. The burger patties were thin and small and the oysters were very small this time. See pics.
From the start had no idea where HEINEKEN was from, our server thought it was a domestic. Then we caught her is BS lies throughout the meal, if you don’t know, just say you don’t know! Food was good, oysters fresh, burger decent… we recently moved here & heard great things about this place…we’ve had better burgers at Wendys ….don’t know if we will be back.
