Everything was delicious. If you're looking for good Italian or just good food, this is a MUST. Their in house sangria is very good as well.

I would give six stars. Arancini and brussel sprouts were mouth watering starters and the pizza was incredible. Good drinks and excellent dessert wines 🍾

Gildas is known for its pizza (which is definitely good), but the burger is where it’s at. It’s the best burger I’ve ever had. Friendly staff, great location!

Gilda's has been established for several years now; however, this was my first time dining here. The pizza we ate was fantastic, and the wine list was abundant. Peter, the restaurant manager, is truly a flawless person to have manage the operations. He is very hospitable and intelligent in this industry. A highly recommended place!

This is not a standard American pizza place... it is really a small menu italian resto-bar where every dish is amazing. We had 100% veal meatballs, a Mushroom crustini and then a pizza which is personal size, but only if you eat nothing else. It is handmade as if you were in Rome for the evening pizza. A view of the lake. Go. This is really a treat if you like authentic Italian food.

We always make it a point to eat here when visiting the area. Arancini & veal meatballs were amazing (the sauce too). The Beet & Burrata salad and shrimp with come-back sauce were great too. Everyone loved their pizzas too.

Celebrated Syracuse commencement weekend in Skaneateles and had pizza and chopped salad for our group Saturday night. Everything was delicious- crispy crust pizzas were flavorful and generously topped.

Nicely located in the center of Skaneateles with a view of the lake and creek, Gilda's offers a light menu, perfect for lunch or light meal. We've enjoyed their soups and salads. Pizza looks very good. Also a full beer and wine selection. For a change, we highly recommend Gilda's

Gilda's is one of those local hole-in-the-wall places that you almost don't want to share because it is so good! One of the best burgers I have ever had in my life and the oven broiled pizza is phenomenal. This place is a must-go.

Great for a bite to eat, or just for a beer. Small inside, with a table or two outside as well. All staff were friendly and helpful in ordering both food and beer. We had beers and three delicious crostinis. Worth a visit if your hungry or thirsty!

We come to Gilda's once a month for girls night. The selection of wine is excellent, their pizza is incredible and the service is always with a smile. Great atmosphere.

What a great surprise! This small restaurant exceeded our expectations by a LOT. Everything was delicious, fresh, beautifully prepared, and wonderfully seasoned. You don't go there for the ambiance, but friendly staff, and a real gem!

We shared 2 salads, mussels, meatballs, fries, shrimp wraps and calamari between the 6 of us. Loved the food, really appreciated that it was clearly indicated which allergens each menu item contained.

Ate here for the first time yesterday with friends. I had the margherita pizza and my wife got the brussel sprouts with mustard vinaigrette and the sampler of three toasts. The food was outstanding overall, well made. We would absolutely eat here again. It was one of the best margherita pizzas I've had. Be warned, it was garlic laden (I love garlic) but there's no mention of it in the menu. In fact if this was intentional, it should be called a garlic margherita pizza, yes that's how much they used, but I loved it. The brussel sprouts were amazing, the mustard vinaigrette really makes the dish. And finally the toasted breads were really good. Some constructive criticism: The only thing I could nit pick is the chefs might be in a hurry not balancing all the ingredients as perfectly as intended. Somebody in our party got a pizza with arugula on it, and there was an absurd amount of arugula, more than enough to make an entire salad with and still leave so much you couldn't see the pizza below it (they did the same thing with the arugula on one of our toasts). The same can be said about their use of garlic.

Once again Gilda’s crushed in all ways. Jennifer is the best, the food was all top notch (pizze, small plates, total immersion). Perfect location at the start of the lake. Thank you for always going above and beyond!

Simply incredible! By far the best dinning experience in a wonderful small town that has numerous exceptional places to choose from. The four of us ordered almost all the small plate options and three craft pizzas to share. Everything was was the utmost freshness and quality. Their in-house made Sangria is a must order as well. It is smooth but not too sweet, and absolutely delicious. I couldn't help but mention how great our experience was to some locals who were waiting to be seated outside. Go early if possible; regardless, it is very well worth the wait!

Went here for dinner last night. It was already pretty crowded, but we did get seats at the bar without waiting. Good service, friendly staff. We shared fennel salad and arancini which were delicious! Also shared a pizza, and tiramaso for dessert. They were also very tasty! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Walked in 30 minutes before close. Were treated with the same priority as anyone else. Service was fast friendly and hospitable. The food was out of this world. BEST PIZZA I ever had outside of NYC & Naples. We also ordered salads and appetizers, nothing disappointed. They also have a amazing wine and beer selection.

Worth the wait! This was our first time here (and the lake as well). WOW! although the restaurant is small, it is run revery efficiently, professionally AND friendly! The food was amazing, I mean amazing! Our server was great- the whole experience was fantastic! Please don't miss this place!!!! (awesome wine list, BTW). We hade the Burrata Beet Salad, Veal Meatballs (melt in your mouth), Calamari and Mussels. Thank you again for a great experience!

Really great place that uses high quality ingredients. I highly recommend. Prices were more than reasonable and staff is very friendly. Once inside the restaurant, you have a clear view of the kitchen behind a glass wall. The place is also very clean and well kept. Pizza is phenomenal... and so were the salads and beer/wine menu. I will definitely return.

Had a lovely dinner for two at Gilda's last night. Good wine selection; unusual beer selection, microbreweries. We especially appreciate the wide variety of vegetarian options, as Skaneateles does not have many vegetarian-friendly places. The mushroom bisque was amazing! And our salad, small plate and pizza were very tasty. These 4 dishes were enough for 2 people to share. Thanks so much for the wonderful food and attentive service!

My family's favourite place to visit is Gilda's. The pizza there is outstanding. Not only is their pizza great, the rest of the menu is delicious. They have a new special pizza every day, which we try along with the original pizzas they make. My 5 year old is obsessed with this place. It's a small restaurant, but feels like family. The waiters and waitresses there are the best. I've never had such nice people serve me food. Will forever return here.

We visited from out of town and stumbled up on this restaurant. Everyone from the hosts to the servers were super friendly and informative. The food was amazing and we went 2 nights out of our 3 night stay in Skaenatles! Definitely will return when back in this region.

Great food, cozy atmosphere. We met here for a girls lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The weather was nasty, so the restaurant was not super busy. We ordered a pitcher of white sangria, fried arancini, brussel sprouts, and two pizzas, nonnas and hot sopressata. Everything was delicious. It was my first time at gildas and will not be my last!

The food here is off the hook. Absolutely phenomenal and tasty. The meatballs are amazing and the sauce they are in is great. Excellent sangria and you can tell they care about what they give you. No nonsense at this joint. Highly recommend. Only negative is it’s a small place.

The food was amazing and so was the staff! We had the Arancini (ricotta balls) , the veal meatballs and the Nonna's pizza. All three were so good, we will definitely be eating here anytime we find ourselves in Skaneateles (and you should too.) The one draw back was the wait time, it's a very small place with minimal seating, we ended up waiting 45 -60 minutes for a table. And although that could have tarnished our experience, it did not because the staff were all so lovely and made it worth the wait!

We popped into Gilda’s on a snowy January night. We were waiting for a table at another spot, but the food, drinks and hospitality at Gilda’s we’re so impressive that we wished we’d stayed for a full dinner. We’ll definitely be back again. The space was glowing, warm and cozy with clean, simple design. The service was welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a few beers, prosecco and probably the best spiced winter sangria we’ve ever had. The calamari and arancini appetizers were beyond delicious and the tomato sauce made you want more and more. The smells of the freshly baked pizza on the other tables made us sure we’d have to return for a full meal very soon.

Delicious drinks, pizza, and salad and friendly service! So good that we came back twice even though we were only in the area for a few days. Beautiful setting across from the waterfront.

My husband and I visit Skaneateles frequently and Gilda’s has become our favorite dinner out. The food is outstanding - I swear the French fries are the best I’ve ever had. The staff are always kind and gracious. We had an experience with a food delay once and Heather took such good care of us and was so attentive to our needs and extremely apologetic. We will be visiting Gilda’s for years to come.

Best pizza I have ever eaten! Totally amazing. All the other dishes that were served to other tables looked great. We will go back and try some of the small plates to go with our pizza. One of my favorite places ever!

The staff alone make this place great. The food just makes it even better. Their pizzas are the best you will find in the area but don’t forget about their burger and chicken sandwich too. Always a warm welcoming atmosphere. Wouldn’t recommend for small children or any families with strollers as space is “cozy.” Wine and beer list always on point and there’s something for everyone.

This little restaurant is a gem! The food is fantastic. I absolutely loved the moody atmosphere with the dark lighting and candlelit tables! Right across from the lake and so cute. The food was amazing!! We ordered three pizzas (one accidentally because we didn't realize it had meat on it, our fault) and glazed carrots! Everything was incredible! The desert chocolate cup with whipped cream was one of the best desserts I've ever had. This is a definite place to try in Skaneateles! Our server was sweet and attentive as well.

I sat at the bar on a busy Wednesday night. My soup was excellent. The pepperoni and sausage pizza is one of the best in Central new york. Had a apple pie hard cider. Excellent service and quality ingredients usually make for a great night out. Keep up the great work. I will be back.

The ingredients are fresh and small plates are great. Pizzas are good but nothing to write home about. The servers and bussers were very nice. The host seemed harried and quoted an insanely long wait that ended up being way off.

We stayed 4 nights in Skaneateles and ate at Gilda’s two nights. Our favorite pizza was called Sam’s Favorite - couldn’t go wrong. Even the local servers would come to Gilda’s for pizza. Very friendly! Not a lot of seating so you can order takeout. I imagine it could be a little chilly inside during winter months.

Any time we stop in Skaneateles we have to grab a pizza from here. The one hour drive from Endicott NY is worth it for the view and always tasty pizza. The “special” never disappoints.

Charming, small restaurant with a great feel. Small bar and only a handful of tables gives an intimate feeling and you can see into the kitchen at the corner of the bar. Nice wine and beer selection and a small but creative menu. Food sensitivities and allergies are listed clearly on the menu. Had the veal meatballs on the recommendation of a very friendly and good bartender, very tasty.

This is basically a gourmet pizza place with several small-plate options, two sandwiches (chicken and a burger) and a lively bar. I ordered 'Sam's Favorite Pizza' and it was excellent. I also enjoyed a chocolate budino for dessert. They do not take reservations and there are very few tables, Even arriving at 4:45 p.m. on a Tuesday in early December, we had to wait sometime for a table. We could have eaten at the bar but we were meeting someone we hadn't seen in some time and we wanted a more private setting to catch up on news. Our experience with the staff were mixed. The woman who took our food order seemed indifferent as to whether we ate there or not, whereas the friendly fellow who initially took our request for a table and delivered some of our food was welcoming and helpful.

First timer for an early dinner. Beautiful location. Clean place. Friendly staff. Good pricing. We tried two different pizza's and they were AMAZING. That was enough food for two adults and two children, but we smelled the french fries that were brought to the next table and we had to try them. Also amazing! And while we were full we also tried a desert ( just one for the table to share). It was simply amazing. These folks have their act together. This is a five star place no doubt.

I really enjoyed my second trip to Gilda's this past weekend. The pizza is amazing! We really enjoyed being able to order different dishes and easily share. The drink list is always very good as well. Don't let the cafe style seating deter you from making a visit. The environment is warm and inviting and the service is excellent.

We went for a midweek dinner, and viola, it was "Wine Wednesday" where all bottles are 1/2 price. Yippee. Small venue in the Skaneateles village, no rezzies unless a party of 6 or more. Cool vibe, many small plates, great servers and service. It will not be our last visit. We split starters of shrimp cakes and fried cauliflower and then shared a delicious 4 cheese pizza, but needed 2 takeout boxes. The cauliflower was 2x the size I was expecting, but not at all heavy. I felt that I was losing weight as I ate it. Shrimp cakes were delish, and the pizza was perfect, thin crust artisan style. We went early, it fills up quickly so you need to consider that. Food 5 of 5 Service 5 of 5 Vibe 5 of 5 Try it!!

I tried the beet and burrata salad, shrimp cakes, and peppadew pie pizza at this restaurant and I enjoyed them all. The shrimp cakes, in particular, were awesome; I could easily eat ten of them. The restaurant's vibe was also enjoyable. Due to the small space, the tables are also small and the space between them is narrow. There isn't a specific parking area for the restaurant, but you can easily find parking nearby. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely come back again.

A restaurant that fits a perfect niche in this gorgeous locale. Fresh local ingredients, inventive modular menu, pretty good wine list. Great price point. If you live here, the type of place you can return to every week. If you're visting, go here for a great dinner that won't weigh you down after a long day savoring the Finger Lakes.

Great place for a date. Pros: food is consistently good, service is prompt and courteous. Cons: too many tables in a very small space means you're practically sitting on your neighbor's lap, and the menu needs to change more often and include more seasonal variety.

Fresh, really tasty food. We only had the starters ( shrimp, roasted cauliflower, arincini balks and chicken liver crostini) and they were all delicious. Great selection of wines.

This is our go-to place when we are in the mood for a very good meal on the spur of the moment. Their burgers are fantastic, the pizza is excellent, the salads are delicious, and the wine list goes the right notes. They have date night Tuesday and half priced wines on Wednesday. The tables are a little close together and it can get pretty loud on a busy night, but Peter and his staff keep the place running smoothly. Highly recommended.

We walked in at 7:30pm and found a seat at the bar. The restaurant is small and it was packed. I would have given Goldas a 5 start, but the restaurant was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. The food was worth putting up with the noise! The service was friendly and great!

The service here was average. We ordered the cauliflower which was very good and the arancini which was also brilliant. Then we got a salad and it was nice. For pizza we ordered the Flambé and the special. They were both good but the crusts were a little too burnt. The wait was fine and it was an overall good experience. If we are ever in the area again, this place will definitely be considered.

It's okay. Pizza with a few nice appetizers. Manager scolded us for making reservations for 6 and one couple couldn't make it.it was my birthday. We understood, but their were places at the bar 6 across. I won't be back as we felt it wasn't welcoming despite purchasing 6 appetizers, 2 pizza's, and 8 drinks. There are better options in town.

We love Gilda’s and everything about it. We were a bit disappointed with how the food was delivered (just two of us) because it was too much at one time so it would not stay hot. Also the beef Bourgogne was so smoky (and we like lightly smoked food) we did not finish it. Tasted like liquid smoke was added. Beef Bourgogne is not a smoky dish. We will for sure continue to be customers.

Do NOT order their side salad. This side salad to go was $7, it didn’t even fill up the box and only had a couple of dinky pieces of lettuce and two slices of tomatoes… for $7. finished in two bites and felt like a robbery. $4 i would’ve been like whatever. $7?! is insane for something that wasn’t even a side salad more like a “cup” lol. Margarita pizza was disappointing. We liked their nonna pizza last time so we decided to come here again and get two new things and they both were not good. Margarita pizza was too doughy in the crust and lacked flavor.

We were staying in Skaneateles for vacation so excited to try some local favorites recommended to us… We ordered pick up and called the Gilda‘s number. The woman that answered the phone was extremely nasty and needs to learn better customer service. I didn’t get her name, but the date is 8/7/24 and we order for pick up around 7:50pm The menu that was online wasn’t the correct one and she belittled me in the nastiest attitude and said check the right menu on our website which is the one I was looking at, and then she proceeded to mock me and correct a word I was saying incorrectly when ordering, she proceeded to ask for my credit card information to take payment even though I wanted to pay in cash when I got there and asked for a tip over the phone so rude if you ask me. Not to mention she also answered the phone. Very nasty when I asked to place a pick up order. I’m sorry for wanting to give the place business next time. I am in town. I will never go back here just for the rude customer service!!!!

First time going. Food was good except for my wife getting my “medium rare” burger and I got her medium well. My wife does not like anything pink meat wise but ate hers. Also asked for a second drink and never received it. Possibly the server was new.

Crazy annoying how many times the wait staff comes to your table. Can we please just eat our food, drink our drinks & talk without you hounding us & causing us to feel rushed because you have another reservation coming?? Yuk not interested in going back.

We went there last night. It was cute inside and we ordered a few tapas and the fried chicken sandwich. The arugula salad was good but very dry, barely any dressing at all. The Arancini balls were really good. Cauliflower was good but could have used some seasoning. THE FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH WAS HORRIBLE - the chicken was super thin and dry and burnt. It was small and just bad. Over all it was expensive and not impressive

Until this evening, I would’ve given five stars to Gilda’s‘s. We have always had great service, great food, and a great atmosphere. but tonight, my wife and I decided to have a glass of wine, at the wine bar, and were told that we couldn’t sit outside (we were waiting on a pick up order.) Completely understanding this, we both have worked in the service industry, we were told that we could sit at the bar. Heading to the bar, which we’ve sat at several times over the years, we were handed menus. I declined the menu, explaining that we’re waiting on a pick up delivery, but we’d like to get a glass of wine. We’re told in a fairly condescending tone by a staff member that we can only sit there if someone wanting food doesn’t show up. This is a wine bar. It’s in the name. We are then coldly served, mentioned once by two servers that we’re waiting for a delivery and receive minimal service after. We have supported Gilda’s for years, including through the entire pandemic. We have always felt at home here. Now I’m not feeling like returning. We can’t imagine this is the image that the restaurant wants to have, I’d advise the manager review what the goal is, life long customers, or the quick dollar for tourists.

Tasty if overpriced menu, nice atmosphere but poor service. Seated at time promised, once food was served server disappeared - glasses and wine bottle empty for last :45 minutes of 1:15 meal. Server walked past multiple times at brisk pace and avoided looking our way (table of four), had to stand-up and wave to request the check, which was delivered without a smile, comment or even eye-contact. Poor performance and disappointing, would suggest going elsewhere given other excellent choices available within 100 yard walk. Food is decent but service not commensurate with price-point.

Got here about 11:40 to have some lunch and got seated right away and that is where the good times end. The food took over 30 mins to come out. The wait staff waited in the kitchen area eating instead of serving. They never once came over to check on us while waiting for our food, once we got the food or to say anything about the delays. The staff was rude when we did see them. Food was not great. Under seasoned and expensive. 15-16 bucks for a 10 inch pizza seems like highway robbery. Please try somewhere else if you are in town.

The fried cauliflower was horrible. When I asked the waitress if it was suppose to be brown she replied yes, did you not like it. I told her it tasted like charcoal and she replied really, well now you know. I have tasted things in the past that I just didn’t like, but never have I had something that I considered uneatable. No one offered to remove it from my bill. I guess Gilda’s is not concerned about return visits.

I was really looking forward to this spot. Drove over on a Tuesday night and grabbed a seat at the bar, planning to have a couple of beers and order some food to go, especially one of the pizzas, which are a big part of the menu. I was surprised to be told they weren’t doing any food to go that night. No sign, no heads-up, and it wasn’t even busy. It’s hard to understand why a place offering small plates and pizza wouldn’t be able to box something up. Left pretty disappointed. Not likely to return or recommend.
