I love the traditional Samosa and Biriyani! And the Garlic Butter Naan is very good and tasty. Butter chicken curry as well. Will definitely come back again with my Indian friends soon!

Truly incredible freshly made Indian food with exceptional quality, value, and service. The best Bengan (Eggplant) Bharta I’ve eaten in LA County!!! Scrumptious! The vegetarian lentil soup, hearty with a nicely balanced mix of vegetables and delicious taste. Veggie Samosas delightful with a light batter. Mango Lassi perfection! If memory serves correctly, I was there before 4PM during the lunch special $14.95 and for $3 extra well worth it basmati rice, naan, and pappadam with fresh chutney and onion with tomatoes. The mint chutney, a personal favorite was yummy. High quality food, great value, and prompt service as well as welcoming ambiance for a small sized business with an impeccably clean presentation including the restroom with three dining tables as the focus is on to go orders. It was steady while I was seated. Most definitely will comeback again!

I was really craving Indian food so I decided to look for a spot that was kind of like a mom and Pop, but that I had amazing reviews, and I stumbled upon this gem. It is on a busy street, but there is plenty of street parking that is metered but free after 6 PM. When I got there, there was no one inside, so I was just a party of one and I sat down and the gentleman that was working was very attentive and took my order and was able to provide me with really good recommendations. I went with the lamb curry and also got the veggie appetizer. For three dollars I added rice, lentil, soup, and a dessert! They also give you a dipping sauce with chips for a light starter for free. I really enjoyed my time here. It was delicious and I will definitely be back!!

Stopped by on a Sunday for dine-in. It was empty, small, and cozy. We were seated and serviced well. Food was smacking good (described by my children) and fresh. The atmosphere gave a unique traditional feel to the culture of the food. They have meal special selections for lunch and dinner.

Let me just say, I will be going back. So one of my friends and I meet up once a month, have dinner and catch. Dinner choices is alternated between myself and my friend and this time it was my turn to choose. Wanting to find a place in the middle between us both, I simply Googled around neighborhoods until I came across this Indian restaurant with a 4.6 star rating. Off of Pico, in the midst of other mom and pop stores and eateries, I had no expectation what this place would offer. Until I opened the door. Anytime you open the door and the food smells good, that's a good indication you're at the right spot. Haven't had much Indian myself, but always open to expanding my palate, I will be returning here. It's a cozy and understated restaurant. No frills and none needed. The staff who waited on myself and my friend was super friendly and offered his recommendations. I ended up with the Lamb Vindaloo and my friend ordered the Lamb Bhunan. And neither one of us were disappointed. The ish was de-lish. We also ordered individual (meaning we didn't share with each other) appetitizers, but the stars of our meal was the main course. So flavorful, was rich in spices, it was heavenly. We both agrees that selecting a medium spice option was perfect because any hotter may have been less enjoyable. And if you're going to stay long enough for dessert, I recommend the Mango Kafi (might be spelling that wrong). That adequately sweet and pleasant to eat. Having never had rice pudding for many reasons, our guy was kind enough to bring me a sample to taste. Not bad. I'm probably still not a rice pudding person but I could see myself enjoying that. All in all, great place idly dine. We arrive around 6:30pm but it seems to pick up in customer steam around 8pm Definitely check this place out, you will not be disappointed. Edit: I've been back at least three (3) times since my first visit (see, not a lair) and each time I brought with me someone new. Everyone... I mean, EVERYONE... every person, every body each of the bodies, each and every of the bodies... absolutely enjoyed the food.

A nice place that you wouldn't expect to find an Indian restaurant. Only street parking but all in all the services. Very nice. The chef will make you whatever you ask for. Don't be afraid to spice it up a little. It's also easy to order and have delivered. Very nice! Great tasting food

This is a wonderful Indian restaurant with great food. I ordered the vegetable curry lunch set and chai tea. It was a lot of food for not so much money. I ordered the extra spicy version and I was not disappointed at all. I will definitely make it back out to this place if I am in the area again.

I may not be an authority on good Indian food, but Chef Arango Indian Restaurant's, despite its unassuming store front on Pico Blvd., may be the real deal when it comes to Indian cuisine. Their delivery went beyond expectations! The Bhindi Bhaji, a dish of okra with tomatoes, bell peppers and curry was textural perfection. The Butter Chicken was rich, creamy and flavorful with just the right amount of spiciness. I appreciated the healthy choice and vegetarian options, too! The Mango Lassi was a refreshing accompaniment, providing a cool contrast to the spicy dishes. The yogurt drink's creamy texture and sweet mango flavor were a delight. Their selections of naan and roti bread are great. Chef Arango's culinary skills truly shine. Highly recommended for a satisfying and delicious Indian food fix!

This was such a perfect lunch. The moment you step in, it’s peaceful with soft instrumental music playing. The decor is lovely, with interesting photos of India on the walls. The food was amazing. I had matar paneer, and asked about spice level. Hot was perfect for me. So flavorful. The garlic naan was light & crispy. The rice well cooked and fluffy. Even the lentil soup part of the dinner special was so good. service was very friendly and prompt! Very affordable. I’d come here every week if I could.

Food is delicious, comforting, very tasty and even a little fills you up. I can still taste it and excited to go back. The staff we met was kind & polite. Everything was good. The rice is perfection. The lentil soup also tasty. It’s is clean inside and chill. I have no complaints.

Very delicious very authentic Indian restaurant I needed a quick bite and was craving some samosas some of the thickest samosas I’ve ever had! The chutneys were a little bit different than usual too but the green one was just spicy enough . There is a restroom in the back pretty clean I had to go and by time I came out and walk to the front my order was ready and he came out to the front to hand it to me which I really appreciate it I hate when your food is ready and they just let it sit there and start to get cold. Will definitely be back to try their curries and bring my wife some delicious samosas

S

I wish I had remembered to take photos before the meal but my first instinct when the food came out was to immediately pile it on a plate then into my mouth. The butter chicken is phenomenal, the butter acting like the star it is and not just a background character. My favorite was the eggplant tho, got it medium because my friends are babies, and asked for the hot sauce on the side. It is SPICY but DELICIOUS. The kofta meatballs are super tender and flavorful. Not pictured is the garlic naan because that was gone quick. Service was efficient and attentive and our server even hooked us up with some goodies, us being the only party dining in that night. Shout-out to whoever stuffs the samosas because they are crispy and jam-packed with delicious filling, no empty air pocket in sight. This also has to be one of the most affordable places I've eaten at. If you're looking for delicious food served by people who care and at an unbeatable cost, this the place for you.

If you simply go by the outside looks, you may just keep driving. If however you are interested in finding little gems? You will definitely walk away feeling this little hole in the wall, just treated you to an amazing gastronomic experience. The service was absolutely outstanding. The manager was very attentive and made sure we lacked nothing. Our warm tea cups were never empty and the flavor was rich and bold, perfect for the evening chill. The food was fantastic, we all started with a small bowl of lentil soup, it was wonderful. I had the Lamb Coconut Curry, my granddaughter had Chicken Tikka Massala and her boyfriend had Chicken Vindaloo. There wasn't anything left on our plates. We had a wonderful time and we literally left when the place was closing. What great experience.

I love Indian and have had tons in my life. This is hands down the best place. Their flavor profile is sophisticated and layered, the food here is top quality and it's my favorite Indian restaurant ever. After having their tikka masala I can't be satisfied with any other. Their saag and curries are also excellent. The chicken they use is whatever so I always go for fish. The flavor here is truly magnificent, I come here whenever I'm in the area. Definitely a must go for everyone.

Absolutely delicious Indian cuisine. I dined in with the lamb tandoori tikkha with saag paneer, basmati rice, garlic naan, and a mango lassi. Everything was fresh and on point. The waitress was friendly and the ambience was clean with relaxing jazz piano playing. Highly recommended!

The food here is absolutely authentic and full of flavor! The butter chicken is a must-try—rich, creamy, and so comforting. What I really appreciate is that they’re very considerate for people who can’t handle spicy food. They have completely non-spicy options and you can also customize the level of heat to your liking. The naan is soft and fresh, and the biryani is fragrant and delicious. A wonderful spot for anyone craving real Indian cuisine!

I DoorDash from this place often… I had to come and leave a review. This place has the BEST butter chicken I’ve ever had… creamy, homemade, and you can actually make it spicy. 10/10!!!!! So good!

I'm from northern part of India and based on the reviews, decided to try this place. Sorry but this is NOT how north Indian food tastes. And i know there are MANY cuisines and flavors in India. I dunno what this restaurant is offering. Generic tastes at best. The tamarind chutney had no Indian flavors, the butter chicken was too sweet and the chicken in it was bland, the dal was salty. For people who don't know Indian food it may seem like good Indian food. But sorry, it isn't. And the A/C was off so we were sweating. Overall it was dismal experience. Not going back.

B
Brandon Kelsey

Maybe the most mediocre Indian food I have had in my entire life. The employees were nice. Better off going to curry in a hurry and saving money on top of better food. Pretty sure my naan was pre packaged from here and the curries both tasted the same without real flavor.
