The staff was very friendly. They do have a public restroom. The burrito my husband and I got was delicious

The food was very delicious, the place was very clean, and the customers were very nice also.

I have been working out here for 2 months. I found this place the first week. And well I'm here at least a couple times aweek. I would highly recommend this place. I'm very big on giving praise and feed back weather good or bad. But this place is great!

They have a wonderful atmosphere, the building nice and clean, and the service was exceptional. They went all out while completely following Covid guidelines. The food is also really good. It's a great place to go.

My fav, I always get the chilaquiles for breakfast and so far never disappointed. I also really enjoyed the horchatas too.

So I ordered the fish tacos tonight in Wasco at La Fonda. They were delicious! The breading was crispy, the fish tender, perfect! The tortillas were not the focus of the dish. I am beyond pleasantly surprised! Wasco has a variety of dinner options, even a wonderful little sushi restaurant that sadly, closes early in the evening and therefore is usually unavailable to me, though I will hit it when visiting again in February. But La Fonda fish tacos tonight were the bomb!!!

I don't give 5 because I have not tried anything else but their shrimp tacos. THEY ARE BOMB 💣....hands down the best shrimp tacos I ever had. When I come here I always tell myself that I will try something else but honestly I have to have their shrimp tacos instead lol. Ohh and I come from Delano just for them ☺

The food is great, never disappointed. The restrooms can be quite dirty sometimes and the customer service is satisfactory, at most. Other than that, great food for cheap 👍

Pretty darn good Mexican food! Parking can be difficult during lunch. Service is quick. I recommend this place.

Delicious! Hidden away town offers a wonderful neighborhood eatery! Packed with locals. Only minus was the lady who brought our food to the table did not offer utensils or a napkin and when we asked she told my 92 year old fellow traveller to get it at the counter. 6 star food, 3 star service

Good food but I’ve had better. I feel like the tortilla when you get tacos should be cooked differently because by the time you get home to eat, the food is already cold. Also I got a wet burrito once and it was serious a joke. It had the smallest amount of sauce. It was not wet at all. Overall it’s alright.

Foods great service sucks they don't pick up their phone.

I order 2 sopes de asada, 2 tacos de asada, 1burrito de asada and a torta de asada for a whopping 43 dollars. And the food was definitely not worth it. The sopes were stealth felt like my teeth were gona get pulled along with the sopes as am biting it. Burrito was more like a rice and bean burrito with light carne. The torta and tacos were alrite. I originally wanted to go to the taco stand on palm getting to kimberlina but werent there. They are way better and not as expensive food is very good

I have only ate at the Wasco La Fonda a few times. My girlfriend lives in Wasco and she has suggested this restaurant a few times. I have always loved the La Fonda on Niles in Bakersfield. This past Saturday it was raining and around 6pm my girlfriend suggested La Fonda’s nachos and tortas. We headed there. When we walked inside there was only 1 lady waiting for her order, other than us it was completely empty. We had stood at the counter for about 2 to 3 minutes waiting for someone to come up front from the back. When the lady finally did she grabbed a phone call that had just started ringing and took their order before taking ours. This is where something went wrong. We placed our order and got our drinks. Another guy walked in and placed an order. We then sat there watching people come in and grab their call in orders and the guy who ordered after us get his order and leave. After 35minutes my girlfriend went up to ask what the status of our order was, but again she waited at the counter for another 3 or 4 minutes until the lady came up and asked if we hadn’t received our order. My girlfriend told her we had not. She then proceeded to explain that apparently our order had got missed when the back printer ran out of paper. Our order was apparently in limbo. The employee then asked if we wanted our order or a refund. After quickly asking my girlfriend what she wanted to do, we asked for a refund. I had paid $32 total for the food and two drinks. She refunded me a little over $24. I told her it was $32. She said “yeah but the drinks.” I didn’t argue but from my perspective is I’d have spent no money here if I hadn’t stopped here. In my opinion, and I know it’s my opinion, but to settle this situation and make me whole for waiting and getting nothing from this place would be a full refund. I was not happy with the resolution but I also am okay with their decision. But it’s my decision that I will never again visit this location and never spend another dollar at the Wasco La Fonda. I hope La Fonda is happy with the $6 they kept for the drinks, because it cost you a customer in the future. 41 wasted minutes. I gave them 2 stars because in the past the food was good but I can’t abide the service here and the way they resolve customer complaints or issues.

Horrible place if I can give stars I would First you have to beg for them to give you napkins I asked for a campechana and she like oh ok let me get the crackers back with a horrible adetude I got there and sat in a dirty table because they never got a chance to clean it when there is literally not much people

The food was ok, but the service was bad. I waited 15 mins so they would take my order. Its understandable if they were busy but the restaurant was empty. The cashier and some other worker were just talking away and pretending I wasn't there.

Workers were rude!!! They did not listen to our order.... they served my family and totally left my order out!! They lied, before ordering chips and salsa we asked them if the chip were made fresh, they said yes!! They were NOT!!! They came from a bag!!! The lady's look at you with attitude!!!

The burritos where good..we ordered a shrimp cocktail.there was no vegetables and maybe like 5 shrimps..all clamato..they forgot to put meat in 2 out of the three flautas..I've recently came back to town ..this place definitely went down hill..

I tried calling many times to place an order and they never answered. When I got there the cashier said she was busy but I called when I was there and she still didn't pick up. How do you expect to make business when you have unmotivated people working for you. 😒

I don't know but everytime I come here with my family there never a greeting of a hello or how can I help you when we get to the register. It's sad to see that a family business works like this but if it was mine it wouldn't be like this. Hopefully this gets read by the owner and talk to there workers of having a bit more of customer service.

I ordered a torta with side of fries and an asada quesadilla with rice and beans… I took one bite of the torta and noticed a big hair coming out of it! Then I looked at my daughter’s quesadilla and there’s another big hair stuck in the melted cheese! Disgusting! Anyone cook or server ANY WORKER IN CONTACT WITH THE FOOD should be wearing a hairnet! They clearly were not!! Who knows if they even wash their hands!

Don't get shrimp tacos the shells are old

2-17-24 Mistook our order and was overcharged because the cashier couldn't hear. my wife asked for a torta of pastor and was given tacos instead and still was charged to order another torta even though it was on the cashier. then cashier walks out and says "Idk what kind of taco this is but did you guys order it ? " ive never seen a business run so unprofessionally . 1 order of chips with guac was 10$ ! With those prices you would think they'd be some decent service and staff

The manager was taking my order at the front and was being very rude rolling her eyes while I was ordering. The restaurant was a mess every single table was dirty. There was no where to sit down. To top it off I ordered a beer and they gave me a very hot beer. When I called to complain the manager was very rude and clicked on me. She said she was the manger on site and didn’t care.

This place has fallen down so far. The tortas are now expensive and if they are missing ingredients they just give it to you without the ingredients instead of informing you. In my case they had no avocado and even went as far as to charge me for extra avocado yet if i had not complained they would not have said anything

My sister went early in the morning, as soon as they opened, to ask if they were hiring. Not for herself but for my mom. Mind you my mom works in the fields so she couldn’t go herself. She waited for a while and no one ever showed up so she called instead. Lady on the phone was super rude, pretty sure it was the manager, and said how do you expect me to give you a job over the phone. My sister drove over there to ask in person. The same lady said she would never hire my mom since she didn’t even bother showing up. My sister tried to explain but she just brushed her off. I’m super disappointed, I can’t believe anyone would treat another person that way especially in our community. Just remember karma is real.

One of the employees was taking an order while eating and sipping on a soda, which felt unprofessional and tacky, especially in front of customers. On a positive note, the torta was actually pretty good — shout out to the cooks in the back for doing their job well. But based on the overall atmosphere and front-of-house service, I won’t be coming back or recommending this place.
