An iconic restaurant in the city's downtown area ! The historic ambiance of the Crystal is unbelievable! Must experience. We were there on Black Friday, and they were very busy! It took a while to get our orders, however, just relax, order a Tom & Jerry! Take in the spectacular furnishings and enjoy.

I can't praise this place enough. Their burgers are fantastic with high-quality beef and excellent onion rings. The Reuben is absolutely first rate. I've never eaten or drank anything here that I didn't enjoy. . .and I started coming here in 1978. This includes the world famous Tom & Jerry's served from the beautiful solid mahogany bar. Truly a New York State legend!

One of the oldest and longest running establishments in Watertown. It's a step back in time from the hand laid floor tiles to the wooden booths and so much more. Delicious food at very reasonable prices. During the holiday season they serve up their own original drink recipe for a "Tom & Jerry" plus some with a new twist. Slow down your day with a stop that takes you back to the good old days in Watertown, NY.

I love the Crystal restaurant. The turkey dinner is my absolute favorite. I often order it to go but enjoy dining in as well. They also have really good burgers and breakfast. The prices are low compared to eating out at other restaurants. Walking in feels like stepping into a time capsule. The decor is another part of it's charm. I highly recommend it to anyone who want affordable, "Tastes like home cooked" meals.

As someone new to the North Country, I can instantly tell this is one of those local spots you go to for the vibes. There’s a genuine community feeling inside…. warm, lively, a little nostalgic. The atmosphere was especially charming when I visited during the holiday season, and it felt like stepping into a classic hometown Christmas movie. We went specifically for the Tom and Jerry’s, and they did not disappoint. Frothy, festive, and perfectly balanced… they were honestly delicious and exactly what you want from a holiday cocktail. The food was hit or miss for me. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich, and while it was comforting in that diner-classic way, it definitely needed some salt and reminded me a bit of old-school cafeteria lunches. Not bad, just simple and a little under-seasoned. But even with the food being just okay, I would absolutely come back. The charm, the energy, and that unmistakable North Country nostalgia make it worth the visit, especially if you’re craving good company and a cheerful, small-town vibe.

Took awhile to get service, not sure why, it wasn't busy. But she was very nice when she finally came to us. Food was delicious, simple, turkey and gravy and stuffing (homemade!!)

Great hometown feeling. The staff are super friendly and you immediately feel welcomed. The Reuben was delicious! Only issue was the wait time to get our food but we did show up at the lunch rush. Maybe the next visit will bring the 5th star!

The ambiance of the restaurant will take you back in time, I love it. The food is ok but what it kill it, is the wait. We had to wait for an hour for our food.

Great food, even better prices. The staff is super friendly, and the building is just beautiful. You feel like you've stepped back in time when you walk in, from the tile floors, to the original wood work. And the tin ceiling......woah...... Just beautiful!

We were visiting from out of state for the holidays and decided to stop by this place for lunch. The wait time was a but long and the food was decent. The atmosphere was really great though. We tried the famous tom and jerry cocktail. I personally dont like rum so I didnt like it but if you enjoy rum or cinnamon flavor, I’d recommend getting the drink. We also ordered, leg of lamb, chicken tenders, buffalo chicken tenders and buffalo chicken sandwich.

On a Tuesday night, we waited about 5 minutes to be greeted and seated. Amy Lynn was our waitress, there was one other waitress on duty. It was bit busy when we arrived, with few groups coming in right behind us. Amy Lynn was friendly and explained the menu and drinks to us. She missed a few things in my order but we attributed that to how short staffed they were. I had the cheeseburger and chips, apple pie a la mode (chocolate) w/ decaf and my friend had an order of fries w/a brownie sundae. The burger was small w/o a lot of individual flavor. My friend's fries were hot. We enjoyed our desserts more. The other waitress did a GREAT job wiping down the tables AND chairs but did spray across the table (chemicals across the salt and pepper shakers). Two points, 1) hire another waitress and 2) spray the cloth, not the table. Resonably priced ($10 for the cheeseburger plate). Overall, we would try them again. *Note: there's a picturesque building (old church?) across the street.
