I had the Chicken and Waffles. They were amazing. They have 5 different levels of heat for the chicken. I chose Medium and Texas Hot. The Texas Hot had me crying! I'll stick with Medium in the future. Everything I ate was excellent! I also had a Frozen Sangria and an Ice Cream Sandwich, both were top notch! Definitely going back in the future!

I recently had the opportunity to try Cookshack and it was fantastic. The GM Jonathan and Rebecca at the front provide great customer service. The chicken was delicious and flavorful. The margaritas were great, nice taste and decently strong. I can't wait to go back and try another item from the menu.

This is an amazingly tasty fried chicken location on Bay Area, very conveniently located just a bit off of I45. I had the Chicken and Waffles, mild, with a sauce that I can't quite remember, but was pleasantly seasoned. The chicken tenders are exceptionally well battered and juicy, while the waffles were succulent and had a consistently almost of pancakes. The mac and cheese was extremely cheesy and I would definitely recommend it as a side - though I hear great things about the spicy fries as well. The chicken sandwich was delightful with the refreshing slaw, though I think I prefer the tenders from the chicken and waffles. I was also confirm on a later visit that the spicy dragon fries are quite good, though similarly, the Mac and cheese catches my fancy somewhat more.

This place was fun bright wide open and fresh new design. Staff was super friendly and eager to explain who they were and what the concept was all about. Very clean and easy access for all. The food came out quickly looked great and the taste was on point. I would highly recommend the salads and definitely ask for the champagne vinaigrette made the salad pop!! I’m not a fan of fried foods but the chicken strips in the mild we’re Not overly hard and not greasy. The dessert was cool and for those who have a sweet tooth well let’s just say it will totally satisfy. My friend had the chicken with waffle fries she said it was delicious, and she finished the dessert lol

This place is new, so we were expecting a few hiccups, but we were pleasantly surprised to have none! The food came out fast and hot. The service was minimal (it’s counter service, so you don’t really have a ton of interaction with staff), but friendly. And the flavors were great, As seen in other reviews, the spice level might be an issue if you don’t like spicy food. For me, the “mild” was a lot like other chicken restaurants’ “spicy”, so use that for your judgement. My kiddos had “none at all” and it was just fine. The chicken was crispy and came in a generous portion size. The Mac and cheese was really good too. All in all, great place!

The food was good but the service was the worse ever. We waited 25 mins for our two meals, three strips plus a side for each of us (my husband and I). Not sure why it took forever for the meals to come out. The cooks in the back instead of working they were checking out female guests. The three girls at the front counter seem distracted and not attentive either. We did not see management team. Jonathan, the young lead shift or manager must have been off at the time. We are regular guests at this location and surprised to see the service deteriorated. To top it off, we understand if the restaurant was busy and they're running behind but there were only a few guests (these guests were there eating already upon our arrival). Anyways, me and my family will return, hopefully service will be better.

Hi Cookshack, I tried a lot of hot chicken and this doesn’t really impress me as much. This kind of tastes similar to what I currently make at home from a recipe I found on Google except Cookshack adds more spice to it. The Texas Hot isn’t all too hot as I thought it would be. Dragons fries are decent.. wish it has more flavor. I had amazing customer service and everything came out quickly! Overall, I would likely give it another try.

Great experience!! Ribs fall off the bone and melt in uour mouth. This place seems to feature their chicken as main dish but am glad they had some ribs!! We had the mild hot chicken and it was tasty. Fried just right and still juicy center with crispy outside. You have to get their shack sauce. It reminds me of thousand island dressing and chipotle sauce a little but it works. The top off was the butter scotch ice cream sandwich. Yum yum. Place was super clean and bathroom well maintained.

This place was really good. I was skeptical because I'm not a huge fan of chicken strips, nor am I a fan of places that specialize in one thing. I like variety in my life, but they do chicken strips with a few other items, and they do it well. These were probably the best chicken strips I've had so far. I got the medium heat level which added nice flavor without being overwhelming. The cinnamon butter that accompanied the waffles was excellent, as were the sauces that we tried. The ribs were ok. They had good flavor, but being from a place where you can get solid barbecue, they don't quite stack up. They are decent for chain restaurant ribs though. Oh, and the staff was so nice and helpful. I think we've found a place that the whole family can agree on, and we will definitely return.

Usually come here for their chicken tenders. I loved this place bc I went to their heights location when it first came to Houston. I ordered this to go and opened it up to see that I paid $12 for 3 tenders and a few small sweet potato fry waffles. If I’m going to pay that much for this meal, then give me some more fries. The food tastes great but I feel like I bought a kids meal for $12.
