Bar 1200 is a WeHo hidden gem known for its rock 'n' roll atmosphere, celebrity sightings, and friendly staff, especially Tony and attentive bartenders on Sundays/Mondays. It's a popular late-night spot with a varied crowd and piano Tuesdays. Some found service slow or inconsistent.

Great atmosphere that travels you back in time to the rock’n roll era, mb it’s also because of the patrons there and how A-list they look even if they’re not (chances are likely most of them are) We were staying at the Sunset Marquis and just walked in on a Saturday and had amazing cocktails so it was a good experience
My favorite drop in spot for a late night drink when in the area.
Great place to drink with rock & roll stars
Be careful with these guys. They are taking advantage of people.

This is the hidden gem of all the A list musicians and A list celebrities. The ambiance is fantastic, the drinks are always yummy and the staff is always on point. I highly recommend this place, that is if you can get in...
I love this place!! The bartender on Sundays and Mondays is so attentive and sweet and makes the best drinks!
Incredible bar and staff. Tony the manager is an outstanding host and takes pride in his work. It really shows.
Matthew used to come here, back when he was drinking, (He told one such instance with M Night) I'm glad that he had the courage to identify the problem and get help. My best wishes to him
Drinks are worth the price. Great rock tunes, friendly staff. Easy going atmosphere.
My fav bar in WeHo. Feels like home every time. Intimate and you just get along with other people around. Crowd is quite varied and interesting to meet people there. Piano Tuesdays are the most fun. Tony is king! If somebody is looking for celebrities I have met a bunch of them over the time there but it isn’t a big deal there as all just have a good time.
For diver bar lovers! There’s a rotating chef / food pop up and reasonably priced drinks. Good hang!

What a serene escape from the Sunset Strip. Good margaritas, great Rock n Roll photo collection, pretty people, trees and seclusion.
Neat hidden place in Hollywood. The pool area is very relaxing. The staff were very nice even though service was a bit slow..
I will say that the service, overall look of the bar, and music were appealing. As for the food options, it was fair, and the fish and chips were decent. For an airport restaurant, it was better than most places I've eaten at.

Fist fight at Bar1200, Saturday Feb 1st, Sunset Marquis bar understaffed with only one bar person working the entire bar, again, and one elderly “security” guy who didn’t know he was there. Please step it up sunset marquis, you’re better than this. From banning smoking on the grandfathered in smoking patio to leaving only one person for the entire bar for several nights now, to have only one elderly security guy by himself, these are below standard decisions that even I can see having direct consequences on your patrons’ well being. Someone has to say this because nobody is doing anything about it The bartender handled the situation very maturely and closed the bar immediately, bravo.
For such a tiny bar, Bar1200, or the Sunset Marquis Bar, as it's titled here, certainly has a big reputation. It's the famous Sunset Marquis Hotel's bar ( guess I already wrote that) a hotel famous for providing accomodations for many, famous, music industry artists. You can't help but notice the plethora of photos of rock stars hung on the walls, and, at first, they might look like stock photos; give them another look: all of them are signed! Personally, I didn't see any stars except for the guys hosting the party. Well, not exactly, I was invited to be there for a couple death metal bands' record release party. No one on the Billboard top ten, but still something to write home about. Not sure if the party had been coordinated with the hotel's blessing, though. As for the bar itself, it's small, as described earlier, clean, and relatively comfortable. Once our party had gotten in full swing, there wasn't much room, except standing, left. I guess it could happen anywhere, depending on the size of the gathering, and in our case the body pressure was alleviated slightly when some one noticed the outside, attached veranda. Eventually, the crowd thinned out enough for some of my photos. Drinks seemed to be very pricey, and fortunately for me, some of the guys paid my way. Overall: a small, intimate place, expensive, with a lot of, well, I guess star appeal is the phrase for it.
Honestly as someone who was born and raised in Los Angeles, I expected more from the marquis. LONG GONE are the days of wild rock stars hanging out along with it the area of knowledgeable bartenders on the marquis itself. If anyone was coming to the bar to.grab a drink and learn a little more about rock and roll history (as the marquis has had a great acclaim too) this is NOT the bar to do it at. The bartenders are limited in their knowledge and uninterested in serving their customers. Granted we are not by any means "famous" but that shouldn't diminish from the service regular patrons receive. I give it 3 stars because the drinks were good but NOT anywhere worth the amount we paid for them.

Was excited to patronize this place because I was in WeHo visiting and read about the storied history. I walked in 5 minutes after opening, understand it’s normal to be empty then. I killed time in the neighborhood excited to have a drink. I’m “welcomed” by two kids in their phones at the bar I walked up to. I walk up and I’m told to grab a seat or something? There are no QR codes and no menu was handed to me. I ask”so if there a menu?”. I’m told something that I interpreted as no. Then I say “oh so you’re one of those cool bars that hears what I like and you make me a drink?” He fumbled his words but ultimately said no? Then he hands me a menu. I was so confused and offput by the dissonance of my expectations vs. my reality that I sat down, waited for my wife to use the restroom, and left. How disappointing. When I walk into an actual high-class, high-profile bar, I’m greeted by a skilled, charismatic, welcoming bartender who is eager to flex their knowledge. I got a couple of awkward punks at this establishment that made me feel uncomfortable and regretful that I planned my night around it.
Let me start by saying that I’m only rating this location on Service since we didn’t have any drinks. Me and my wife were looking for a chill bar too celebrate her birthday so we ran into Bar 1200. We stepped inside to a very empty Bar with no one there except for two female employees that were doing absolutely nothing. Me and wife waited at the front for a couple of minutes expecting to be greeted by them but they acted as if we weren’t even there. Let me add while we waited up front they made eye contact with my wife but no acknowledgment, we had to get their attention and ask them if we just sit anywhere or what do we do. They responded with no care to just sit anywhere you want and that the menus are on the table to just scan the QR code. You walk into an establishment and expect to be greeted even just a “Hello, welcome in” anything but I guess to them that’s not what they’re about. Me and wife sat down at a table and we honestly felt that this wasn’t going to work out so we stepped out and before we left I went up and spoke to the lady’s at the bar. I respectfully told them how we felt and the reason why we were leaving. As I was explaining to them the manager walked up and I thought to myself great I can address this to him and he can fix this whole situation. Not to my surprise he didn’t care much either. He tried to make an excuse for them saying that they were busy dealing with a person at the bar. I didn’t know it took much to just greet someone coming in and making them feel welcomed. It was just a sorry excuse for poor service and even worst a manager not taking accountability. The look of the establishment is very nice but unfortunately the people running it need a lot of work on hospitality. I would never recommend anyone to come to this place. I wish I could of gotten the names of individuals that were working there, either way I hope anyone that does come here doesn’t experience what me and wife did.
During last call 1:45am server serves us our drink right before closing 2am & night manager is harassing us to swallow our drinks, he’s so fixated on me & my girlfriend & her friend there’s so many people chatting it up sitting. I asked why aren’t you harassing anyone else, I proceed to order an Uber while my friend is finishing her very expensive champagne & he’s just staring at us, he’s angry obviously & I asked him if he wants a hug, he gets agressive & says I’m “86’d” for asking if he wants a hug. I thought this was the rock & roll bar, for someone who’s roided up on steroids he has some pretty thin skin I was just trying to spread the love. Never again. Good grief, don’t serve us our drinks right before closing & get upset, the bar staff was great this night manager was a hot head.
