Regrettably only managed one night and one meal,The Charcuterie for two and a rather pleasant bottle of margaux ! Service, style, ambience all great,food excellent.

Absolutely top class service and food. From the moment we arrived we were looked after wonderfully. The manager couldn't do enough for us. He was also extremely knowledgeable regarding the wine list. The food was excellent, everything tasted great and was presented well. We will definitely be returning and urge everyone to give this place a go.

This place is so good. The food is delicious with lots of cheese and wine choices. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Everything about Margaux is so tastefully done to a very high standard (love the quality and design of their menus). We spent New Years Eve there and had a really nice time and to top it off we got a free ride home. Can't wait to go back.

A gem of a place, top quality food and presentation. Alessio is a wonderful host , the cheese and wine is top notch and the ambiance incredible.

Recommended - lovely staff, great food, amazing wine selection. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Quiet on a Monday so lacked a bit of atmosphere but still had a very pleasant evening. A refreshing change from Winchester's multiple pizza options. Will return.

Had a fantastic sharing platter lunch there yesterday and really enjoyed it. Great selection of meats, cheeses and wine. A lovely setting, and very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended - we'll be back!

Cannot fault this place. One of our favourite places to visit in Winchester, you’re always guaranteed an amazing night with incredible service. We have been quite a few times but due to how great it was I booked for my 40th birthday and we had the best time. Food is always delicious, and as a lover of cocktails there’s lots of choice and if something isn’t on the menu, they have always made me the cocktail I would like. Pheonix the manager is so personable, remembers your name from the last visit and always goes that extra mile. If you want a delicious meal, with great service and atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed.

We've been here a few times now. I've had the cheese and meat board, a main meal and today an absolutely fabulous Sunday roast. The food has always been excellent. The staff have been nothing but courteous and incredibly polite. A well deserved 5 stars.

Small wedding party made very special by great service and great food. All of the charcuterie was excellent, the steak was very well cooked, the risotto was delicious... And on top of that, we had attentive and friendly service who took extra time and care to add several nice touches to make our day extra special. Champagne on arrival, beautiful presentation of our cake, menu modifications for kids order.. all really appreciated. Highly recommend if you want incredible cheese and wine in a beautiful setting.

Found this very Unique and stylish Lounge in Winchester, it has great style and ambiance with wonderful service, a special mention to Phoenix who looked after us all evening. The service was really great, all the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. We chose a baked melting cheese to start, called Chaource it was delicious and didn't last long! We were then helped to choose our selection of cheeses and meats from a vast selection on the beautifully presented Menu, this came with all the add ons anyone could wish for, and a multitude of tasty crackers and selection of breads. I love wine and when I discussed this with Phoenix he chose a great Red for us, cocktails also followed, again superb! Thank you Phoenix and Team for a great evening we will be back.

We loved our evening at Margaux Lounge. Really attentive and knowledgeable waiting staff. The sharing cheese and charcuterie board was epic! You choose your own meats and cheeses from an extensive selection. Wish we lived nearer so we could go more often!!

Margaux Lounge is just a fabulous place. I went last Friday 14th for an early lunch. The service provided by both Aiden and Rosie was superb. Both of these staff are friendly, kind, knowledgeable about your products (which is what you really need in an establishment such as this). The standard of the 2 selection cheese & 2 selection charcuterie platter was a pleasant surprise, Ididnt expectittobeso good. Aiden and Rosie know their stuff and are a credit to your organisation. Thankyou to both. Regards the food and atmosphere - both are 10/10. The Cheese was gorgeous and the fennel infused salami and truffle infused prosciutto was so flavoursome. I will order both again on my next visit. So so tasty! The atmosphere and background music of Margaux Lounge is really something inviting and special It's relaxing, but has a spark of the unexpected in it as well (wall pictures are good fun). This is a special jewel of a place - just fabulous! Will be returning.Thankyou.

Visited last night while on an overnight trip to Winchester and the whole experience was faultless. From being welcomed on arrival to having our coats returned on leaving the service and all staff were delightful. We had a couple of starters, a cheese and charcuterie for two and a delicious bottle of Saint Emilion. All the food was lovely and we had an eye on what others were presented with which also looked great. A nice busy atmosphere and just the right amount of tables (all of which were occupied). The prices are on the higher end but for us you get what you pay for and I can safely say we'll be visiting again on our next trip.

Food is always absolutely on point, best chef in Hampshire and superb service. A great team of friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble and they know their stuff. My favourite place to go.

I found Margaux Lounge online and read the reviews and thought I’d give it a go for a date night with my girlf. The reviews weren’t lying, it was fantastic. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left it felt very personal. Nothing was too much for the staff, they were very attentive, happy to help and what’s more they seemed happy to be there. The food was amazing. We have the cheese fondue and we could’ve eaten it twice, no thrice, times over! Thank you Margaux Lounge, we’ll be coming back for sure. 10/10

The most amazing evenings here! The staff are super knowledgable and create an elegant atmosphere. The food is of the very best quality and the staff are always on hand to recommend options and guide you through the menu! The food is also competitively priced when compared to other establishments that offer the same style of high end cuisine and service! 10/10 recommend to all food and wine lovers!

What a restaurant should be like. Good food, nice atmosphere and a great host. Service was quick but unobtrusive and we never felt rushed. An enjoyable evening that felt just that bit more special than most restaurants. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful experience last night from start to finish from the homely reception upon arrival to leaving. The service was outstanding, food was really delicious and the wine and cheese list is something to see... Will definitely be back and very highly recommend the little gem

Tried it for the first time and was very impressed. It did seem initially expensive but the portions are generous. We had a platter for 2 with a side of pear and walnut salad and it was plenty for our part of 4! With a delicious bottle of Rioja it was only £35 a head and we had a lovely evening. I wish the team every success and will definitely be back.

What a fabulous experience. Alessio and his team made us feel special, welcome and at ease. The cocktails were both sublime and educational - prepared at the table with an explanation throughout. We shared a delectable cheese and charcuterie board. Such variety to choose from, and all delicious, with delightful additions. Food was great and is directly proportional with its price. This place is perfect for some who are looking for luxury. We cant find the kid's menu and thus dont recommend bringing kids here. The staff were really very kind and helpful to us. I just forgot to ask their names but they were awesome.

Great pre-theatre supper. Burgers like no other and those fries are superb. Forgot to check me in, so got chased for 36 hours asking why I didn't turn up.

Lovely decor. Interesting menu, in particular with scripting on cheeses. Could be unique. Terrible service despite being empty. Mouldy grapes. No check on how the meal is going. Self pour on the wine, which doesn’t fit the description. Lack of class & obvious lack of training, in what could be a fantastic experience.

Food was nice quality (steak and burger was excellent). Cheese and charcuterie board was beautiful but you left the cheese out for far too long, you want cheese to be soft but not melted and spread out over the board out of its rind, been out too long. Wine was totally the wrong temperature. If you are going to have the wine menu like you do you need to have correct storage at the right temp and humidity. Being served wine that was beyond warm was not great. The bottled water wasn’t refrigerated either. Adding to this which was disappointing was the service, admitting to having no knowledge on wine. You are a wine bar, for the level you are presenting you should have a sommelier and trained staff! Nice atmosphere but is style over substance.

I was excited to see a new eatery in Winchester but disappointed and shocked to see foie gras on the menu, especially considering that it's illegal to produce this in the UK due to animal cruelty laws. Please reconsider your menu options to offer something a little less medieval.

Certainly not the sophisticated experience we were expecting. It was more like a nightclub than a restaurant, with dance tracks blasting out. the staff were trying but clearly more suited to a fast food place. The food was very average, the lighting is terrible, too bright and lacking intimacy and atmosphere. dreadfully overpriced too…Never again! What an opportunity missed

Overall, a bad experience. As you walk in to the wine bar you feel a sense cockiness with staff. It’s not very welcoming and the tables are very close to each other. There was a good choice from the menu, but the delivery of cheese and salami was very disappointing, the waitress dropped some bread on the floor which she took away but was not replaced. The portion size of salami and ham was minimal. The atmosphere was loud, so much so that I could not hear my partner talk. Certainly won’t be going back.
