great coffee and service! My roommate and I walk all the way from sunnyside to enjoy coffee here. They do have a strict no laptop policy (only allowed on weekday evenings from 4pm), but it is an enjoyable place to be at, regardless.

got the most yummy ever lemonade here. it was the most expensive thing i’ve ever bought but so sweet … so bubbly … so citrusy… so delicious. stayed to work until they closed, which i think means they have the super productive juice in the water. they have a rule against laptops from 11:30 until 4 on weekdays, but no one was really following it, and their wifi was still working.

I’ve been coming by here every so often either in my way to the gym, after the gym, or after work to wait on my sister and I have to say that the ambience and treats here are exceptional; I quite enjoy their “Han Made Cruffins” and their thick cookies! I’ve also had the chance to try their Avocado toast, and my twin had tried their croissant with egg and cheese and matcha frappe, and she enjoyed the food and told me that it was worth the price she paid for it! This is quickly becoming my new hangout, as their homey and cozy modern cafe decor and choice of colours breathes life and the greenery (their plants) add that touch of class! The staff are quite lovely; I highly recommend this little nook on Woodside to anyone who enjoys a nice rustic yet modern aesthetic and a good place to work on work stuff or to simply enjoy good cafe fare and laughs! The fact that it’s near a neighborhood HMart and my gym is a plus!

Dear Dear Han, I always get macaroons and macarons mixed up Is the different just the letter o in spelling? But a completely different recipe for two "cookies". They serve the egg whites whipped mixed with sugar piped and baked and formed to make light airy shell sandwich one.... They are so good I can enjoy 3. Last time I had the matcha, and a rasberry. Dear Han is my favorite coffee place. They have good pastry options along with desserts and sandwiches. I used to live in woodside but moved recently. I miss their coffee so much.

When I have the time, I love coming into the cafe for a snack. It is one of my go to places to get a satisfying bite to eat with any sort of beverage hot or cold that you would usually find in a cafe.

Quiche and scones were very tasty. The service was great. I would have added photos but I ate the food before remembering to add it

My husband and myself tried most of the coffee shops in Flushing Queens so we found this coffee shop a month ago and we been going in dear Han for a month or so every weekend! They got the best pastry, always fresh and other breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Avocado toast with perfectly cooked egg and croissant with egg are our fav. Luv there’s latte and coffee latte. The quality of their products are all worth it. The French macaroons is one of the best in the city. The owners are very nice people and accommodating.

Best iced chai latte. Recently moved to Jackson Heights. The 26 minute walk this way is worth it.

Great cafe. Friendly staff, delicious food and desserts. The drinks are great too. I have tried an Iced Americano, the Lemonade (which is nice & fizzy), the Latte Einspanner, and the Matcha Einspanner. All drinks were great, but the Matcha Einspanner is amazing. I have gone back a few times for that drink since my first visit!

Recently moved to the neighborhood and was looking for "my cafe" to do writing work in. After visiting a couple places, Dear Han is the spot. Not an extensive menu, but the food they make is of a really good quality. Great coffee drinks (iced vanilla latte is my jam). Friendly staff. Spacious, minimalist interior with a large, clean bathroom. Wasn't sure how I felt about their "no laptops between 11:30am and 4pm" policy, but I get it. I might write in my notebook or read when I come in at that time or I just plan accordingly if I need to do work on my laptop.

Amazing, amazing food! The quesadilla was incredible! The side salad had the most awesome orange dressing! Everything was fresh and made to order. The woman who prepares the food really cares about preparation, presentation and quality ingredients. She obviously really cares about what she does. Loved it!

I work with speciality coffee, this place exceeded my expectations starting from calm, customer service. Cashier/ barista was busy and kept and executed each order in a calm but kept great quality coffee… very rare to see in this kinda environment 🫣😆 Their coffee is fenomenal, their pastries are fresh and great quality coming from someone who’s spent half of life working with coffee and pastries and most of time I’m disappointed in the quality and prices now days. I have enjoyed every visit here since my mom, sister, and I came across this place months ago. So far, all of the drinks and food items I have ordered as been delicious, and the environment is extremely cozy and comfortable. Mushroom quiche is definitely one of my favorites, but I look forward trying other items off their menu.

Best hazelnut oat milk latte I've ever had, so so smooth and velvety! The service was very nice too, and the pastries were good ( i tried the almond croissant and pain au chocolat, the almond croissant was better) The place was pretty empty on a weekday around 9am too. Would highly recommend; I'll definitely be going back! They also had at least a dozen different macaron flavors to try but I'll save that for the second trip!

Lovely place; the lady who prepared our drinks LITERALLY did it with love. She is very generous with any extra cream, chocolate or cinnamon for your drink. The place is aesthetically clean and organized so you are sure to enjoy your drink without stress.

I usually come by here to grab a quick latte and some macaroons. The rose macaroons are divine and I believe they serve counter culture coffee which is one of the better beans. Overall a very quiet spot to grab a coffee before heading to and from the train.

When i first moved to Woodside from LA, I wanted to find a slice of home. Dear Han was essentially that, family-owned, and EXCELLENT coffee. The best in the neighborhood and it’s not close. The drinks are flavorful and consistent, and the scones are the best scones i’ve ever had. Love this place and hope it stays forever!

I love to go to Dear Han when my daughter visits. It's hard for me to get inside by myself, in my wheelchair because of the double doors. It's a cute place. The coffee & croissant breakfast sandwiches are excellent. The owner is very friendly & nice.

If u’re looking for the cozy atmosphere where it offers delicious coffee and pastries, I’d definitely recommend this place. The cafe is just 3mins walk from the woodside station, so it’s quite convenient if u wanna drop off and enjoy a sip of coffee before or after ur work. The interior is spacious, clean and has restroom access to customers. This was my 2nd time visiting and I really love their signature Pistachio Einspanner (Pistachio Cream Latte). Its taste is literally AMAZING!! The owner lady and male staff there are very friendly and patient too. I’d love to visit next time.

My wife and I decided to try this place for breakfast and we were blown away. The food was amazing. I got the grilled cheese bacon sandwich and it was the best sandwich I have ever had. It was perfect. My wife had the fruit croissant waffle and it was so delicious. We both got mixed berry smoothies and were very impressed. This place is amazing and we are so glad we got the experience it.

This place is a little pricey, but well worth it. I had a large iced caramel macchiato and a toasted croissant for about $11. The coffee was not overly sweetened like other places and the croissant was sooooo fluffy, flaky, and flavorful. Also, the food comes in real plates with actual silverware. Not a big deal, but it's a nice touch.

I had little to no expectations eating here. But boy, was I wrong! I ordered a white mocha and their ham and egg is unlike any I've had before! Surprisingly light and filling. Would highly recommend.

This used to be my go-to cafe for study sessions and have been recommending it to friends. They lost alot of loyal customers when they implemented the no tablet/laptop during peak hours. Hopefully they will change it, for now there is bee cafe a few blocks down and they have a garden in the back.

The day we went there was a problem with the kitchen so they couldn’t serve food. The rating is based on the tea I had. They made a really good Earl Grey latte. It was fragrant, foamy, and just the right temperature.

Went here today to cool off from a somewhat warm autumn walk. Upon coming here, you are instructed to take your temperature with a contactless thermometer hanging on the side of the cafe. Kind of wondered how that works, as there was no one supervising there (like what if someone had a fever and still came in). Anyways, upon entering unfortunately the espresso machine was not working (sad I wasn't able to get an iced oat milk latte). Instead, my friend got a regular cold brew and I got an iced matcha latte with soy milk. I was sort of disappointed as my matcha latte had grits on the bottom and it was sweet. Typically I have my matcha latte with no sweetness. I would love to come back again and try their oat milk latte. Though I also wish they had a wider arrangement of more savory pastries as that would have complimented my matcha latte.

The hot sweet purple potato latte really warms up my soul. Just a bit too hot otherwise perfect.

Nice place. It's similar to the cafe it replaced, Lucid Cafe. I believe they serve the same (good) coffee and some of the same food. However, they've remodeled many parts, making the interior brighter and more modern, including replacing the floor and the dark furniture, which are big improvements. It's a more pleasant place to spend time. Like its predecessor, though, some of their menu items are quite overpriced, and I wish they had more (or maybe better) food options.

If you like to pay for overpriced coffee this is the place. I payed $3.00 dollars for a simple black grande coffee. It was really delicious coffee but pricey. Decor is simple.The previous cafe was better.

Food is good, but surprised that they prohibit laptop and tablet usage. No posted wifi code, but they give up on asking. Came here to get lunch and coffee while it was raining. Was unable to do the quick trip prep I needed to do on the laptop. Ate the waffle and left, wont count on this place as a place to quickly use the wifi and get coffee/snack.

If the older kind woman isn’t making your drink and it’s one of their younger employees just don’t take the drink. It seems as if the only person who can make drinks properly is the older woman. I ordered an Iced Chai which is usually good, but since it was someone other than her the drink tasted like water and milk barely any chai flavor at all. If she isn’t making my drink I will not be buying beverages from here again.

I used to love this place - been coming here on and off for years. On a recent visit i was looking for an outlet to plug my laptop into. Unbeknownst to me they have a no laptop policy - which is fine; your business, your policy. But when I approached the older woman who runs the place (I guess she saw me looking) she immediately dismissed me without eye contact like some beggar asking for money: Me: "Excuse me......" Her: "no no no...we dont have!" Just nasty and aloof. I dont get it - I'm a paying customer & I was exceedingly polite. Why would I ever spend money to support this place after that? Too bad. But never again.

We got our coffee this morning, Dec. 29. As soon as we enter the coffeshop the lady barista looks like shes not happy to be working. No greetings, no smile, responds was a little off. I am not sure as to why she was acting that way. Maybe thats the way she is? If she was, then she dont belong in this industry. Coffeshops should be served with a happy barista since it will help set somebodys mood for the day.

I ordered an iced latte which was alright. I was going to work on something on my laptop while I was drinking it. After about 20mins, someone shouted loudly "miss, miss, miss" behind me. I thought it wasn't for me because I already had my beverage. But a second later, a guy came and said, "you cannot use your laptop here," making a big X sign with his arms. I looked around; Only two tables were occupied, and the coffee shop wasn't busy. I felt a little embarrassed about the situation because I never experienced this ever. I even didn't finish half of my latte and only sat for like 20-30mins? So, you can't go to the cafe when you want to write something? I just left without finishing my coffee, and I will not be going back here again. I'll go support another small business that will let me use my laptop.

Coffee and food were not bad. But the lady who works there drove people like pigeons chased away and hated people stay that cafe. Very rude lady. I was in Zoom Class with coffee. She kept saying that you can not stay that long. I was seating almost 20mins. I feel very uncomfortable. The coffee shop located very good place, so many people may go but no manner and no courtesy. The woman know how to treat people badly. They will be very happy about takeout customers only. That cafe has no rest. Bee Cafe is better or Starbucks is better.

I went to this establishment to have a meal with my family, after ordering coffee and a waffle, the cashier informed me that I can’t keep the coffee I had from a previous store while I ate at the restaurant and that I would have to “drink it quickly if I wanted to sit here.” Mind you our party had 3 people and we already ordered. I’ve visited this establishment and ate whole subway sandwiches on multiple occasions there. It was never an issue until today. But I will not be visiting this establishment again. They also try to overcharge for iced lattes, the price advertised on their TV is only for hot drinks. If you order anything iced they will add $1.50 to your purchase.

I don’t like to write negative reviews, however, this one really pissed me off. I went to order a simple, black medium coffee, which I let the middle aged Asian lady cashier know verbatim. And she rings up medium size Americano, which I catch on and let her know that I wanted the black coffee not the Americano. She comes up with this bullshit excuse saying that I should’ve told her that I wanted the drip coffee. Telling me that when people order black coffee, they usually mean Americano because it’s more popular. Respectfully, stop the bullshit. If I wanted an Americano, I would’ve said that I wanted an Americano. Don’t up-charge people thinking that they won’t catch on. Just an FYI, for the readers here, Americano is a dollar more expensive than a regular coffee. And also wanted to mention that the first thing on their menu is black coffee and the fourth thing on their menu is Americano, so there’s a clear distinction between the two.

Terrible establishment. The Asian lady at the front is mean, rude and quite possibly racist. I came to buy a coffee and was waiting for a friend. The friend came and we had to leave so we left. After I came back as I wanted to relax and possibly get another drink by myself. She is glaring at me. No one was sitting where I was. Just a rude nasty lady for no reason. What kind of service and establishment is this? I’ve been here before and she always has a nasty demeanor. This is my first bad review ever. I came into the cafe and saw an older Asian lady making coffee. I started recording the cafe interior while she was finishing up an order. She asked why I was recording, told me to delete the video since she was in the footage, and said I should ask for permission before recording. That’s understandable. I explained that I wanted to record for my Instagram, apologized, and showed her that I permanently deleted the video where she appeared. I also showed her all the footage I had taken. She then gave me permission to take small clips of the cafe but not one long shot of the whole scene so I did the small clips like she said. After I finished, I waited to order. For context, there were only four customers, and they already had their orders and were sitting at their tables. The cafe was close to empty and I was the only one on the line. Then she spoke to me in a passive-aggressive tone: “Why are you recording? Why did you do that?” I told her it was for my social media and said that if she felt uncomfortable, I could delete it. I showed her the footage again there were no people in it at all. She still told me to delete it, so I permanently deleted the clips and showed her the process. After that, she looked at me rudely, started to walked off, and didn’t take my order. I understand asking for permission to record, but if you give permission and then continue to speak to me rudely and refuse to take my order, it doesn’t make sense. I’m honestly glad I saved my money instead of paying for that kind of service. She made me feel like I was truly the problem. At the very least, there should be a sign saying to ask for permission before recording. Save your money if you’re looking for friendly customer service.

After buying both a coffee and a croissant and sitting to read, I needed to use the restroom (it is a single stall). I took only about ten minutes, but I was treated very rudely. The manager kept knocking on the door and told me not to take so long the next time. When I had to again use the bathroom later to wash my hands she was reluctant to give me the key??? Very rude manager.

I came here with a group of 8, and we all ordered separately. One of the drinks was never made, and when we asked about it, the staff didn’t seem concerned or apologetic. It threw off the whole experience since we were waiting around while the rest of the group already had their drinks. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff made it feel like it was our fault. ("One of your friends took your drink" as we sit with 7 drinks with 8 paid separate orders) It’s not good service to blame your customers for mistakes, especially when it’s your own for not keeping track of orders. For a café, keeping track of orders should be the basics, especially when handling larger groups. Very disappointing service. The drinks we did get were just okay. For the price and the wait, we expected better service and quality. Overall, not worth the headache; many other options, this one simply isn't it.
