Olvídense del consomé, prueben el mondongo. Es sopa o caldo de pancita, le ponen todas las vísceras y además le agregan cabeza, lleva: riñón, corazón, tripas, hígado, bofe, etc. El consomé está muy bueno, pero el mondongo es verdaderamente EXTRAORDINARIO. No te vas a arrepentir. Y para que me creas dile q te den a probar consomé y mondongo, prueba los dos antes de ordenar y sabrás a lo que me refiero. Disfrútenlo!!!

Solo me faltó una salsa más picante. La comida, deliciosa, además el lugar muy limpio y bien atendido.

Excelente el consomé, con muy poca grasa pero no le quita el exquisito sabor, lugar tranquilo y la atención muy buena.

They offer excellent tacos. The meat, transformed into a sublime barbacoa, is a delicacy. They offer both white and red versions. The lamb also has its characteristic flavor; it's not greasy, it's light. The only downside is the minimal portion of the tacos. Some are well served, while others need that extra 5 pesos for the meat. There's a big difference between eating there and getting delivery. By far, it's the best barbacoa in Xalapa.

I ordered takeout. The barbacoa is delicious. I think it would be fair to include solid meat by the kilo on their menu, in addition to the mixiotes. On the other hand, the consommé has just the right amount of salt and is flavorful. The seasoning isn't overpowering, and that's very easy on the stomach. The white meat mixiotes weigh approximately 150 grams, not including the bone. They have a little broth, but I'd say just enough.

The best mixiotes in Xalapa. The consommé is delicious, the white or red mixiote is spectacular, and the service is excellent. Everyone is very friendly. I recommend the combos with beans and rice. La barbacoa no la venden por kilo, únicamente por taco, las porciones son súper pequeñas comparadas con el precio y el sabor de la barbacoa deja mucho que desear, definitivamente no regresaría.

Everything was delicious, but the taxi drivers who do deliveries charge like they're from the local bar. They charge 50 pesos for a 35-bus ride. Be careful because it makes the vendors look bad. It's a shame... obviously the barbacoa doesn't compare to what they make in Hidalgo... Xalapa, you're a disgrace.

Los mixiotes más hueso que carne.....muy caro para los gramos de barbacoa. El sazón...tiene mucho que mejorar....

I'm here eating right now, and the service is terrible. The service itself is awful. I asked the lady for my order, she brought me whatever she wanted, and when I told her it wasn't what I ordered, she said she didn't understand and just left it there. She sent it back to me, telling me to eat it myself 😅 I felt bad answering her, haha. I ended up ordering it to go. The lady was chatting away the whole time. The photos of the tacos I'm sharing are two in one! They have no meat at all; they're super small, more than a traditional taco tortilla. I put the meat from two tacos onto one tortilla just to feel like I was biting into some meat. The consommé was just broth with a few strands of meat in it, like they were trying to give it flavor. And don't even get me started on the flan. IT WAS A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!! I've known this place for years, and it had been a while since I'd been back, but after today, I'm definitely not coming back. It's a shame; this place used to be good. 💔💔💔

Very bad, honestly not worth it. The beans didn't taste good. The order of tacos is supposed to be 5, but it actually comes out to 2 and a half because it's a very small tortilla. The broth is very simple and small. We spent $430 and it's not worth it.

The portions are small, the barbacoa tacos are cold, and expensive for what they serve. They don't sell barbacoa by the half-kilo or kilo; you have to force-feed an order of 5 small tacos, which are poorly served. The service is what you'd expect from any restaurant, nothing extraordinary. The updated menu reflects what we ate. Small consommé (if it's small) 50 pesos. "Large" consommé (it's like a medium compared to the small one) 60 pesos. An order of red or white barbacoa tacos (because they're small) 50 pesos. 300g barbacoa mixiote, 90 pesos. I wouldn't go back or recommend it.
