I have always loved Costa Alegre. Just the vibes are phenomenal during the holiday season as expected, but you can also expect this year-round from their staff and warm hospitality. They really know how to take care of the customer. Super attentive the food is great, and the Micheladas are to die for. One of my favorite places here in San Jose and the one here at the Alain rock location is exceptionally good highly recommend if you have a moment for a bite to eat or even a quick little beverage stop on in and get you something.

I love coming here. It is right next to my girlfriends house so its very close. Its typically busy, but theres always a table for us! Today we were served by Erick! He was excellent and very attentive. The food is always perfect and I love that they bring free soup and chips! We will be coming back many times. Thanks!

Food is delicious I’m always coming to get different shrimp plates or fish plates. The only thing that sucks is parking is HORRIBLE. Get ready to find parking somewhere far down the street and walk a few minutes if you’re not one of the six or seven cars that get lucky. Also if you’re disabled parking required it depends if the one spot was stolen by someone who isn’t disabled or the line wasn’t double parked. This place also gets busy really fast or in general is busy so also be prepared to wait. Food is fantastic though I have no complaints there. If you know what you’re getting into when coming here you won’t have a bad experience. If anything you can save yourself time by ordering takeout, the portions are good too and you don’t feel skimped, you just won’t get their free cup of soup.

I loved it! Great variety of dishes. I tried La guerita ceviche and it was delicious. The Micheladas are from another world!! 🤤 They had live Mariachi giving a very lively atmosphere and Berta was super sweet, attentive and knows how to recommend the restaurant dishes. Food and drinks were great. Bertha was our service. She was amazing, very tentative and gave us great suggestions for food. We went there on Friday after 6pm. There was a mariachi band so it was a fiesta!!! I will bring all my friends back here.

Clean fast and good service, food came with good portions as well. Great place for small party. Safe to eat the lime cooked seafoods for those that are scared. The hand made tortillas are good and can just dunk it into the creamy molcajete sauc. Fire

Fun place. This is the third Mariscos location and all their vibes are different. This one is like a sports bar. No outside dining. Pretty large interior. Lots of TV’s including one big one. All Spanish on the TV’s of course but they show both college and pro football. They also have a gal walk around taking photos and seeing them to you. I admit I bought it! But the main reason to come is the food. Had to get the michelada with shrimp and Pacifico beer. Then the normal tortilla ands soup base with shrimp. The quesabirria tacos are off the hook! Also tried the three flavor fajitas (steak, chicken, shrimp). Their Spanish rice is so good and you can get green, red, or white. I choose red. Great service. Fast food. Fat drinks. Super friendly.

This is a very busy restaurant, and since it was karaoke night, I couldn't talk to anyone. The menu is extensive and even has Mexican sushi. But it seems that there are many seafood options, such as prawns, fish, octopus...etc., all of which are delicious. I want to know what Mexican sushi is so I ordered Roll. There is no way to compare with Japanese sushi, because rice is different, it is like a sushi bought in the supermarket. Server is friendly , English order is fine . Only parking spaces are limited .

Order: Fajitas Trio, Camarones Crema, Asada Arrachera, Filete de Pescado Drinks: Coco mojitos, Micheladas The fajitas are with steak, chicken, and shrimp. All meat was tender and juicy and flavorful. The serving size was huge and came with rice and beans. I had leftovers and enjoyed it as dinner as well. The coco mojito was actually better than I thought it would be. My coworker loves Micheladas, and she states they are on her top list here. I don't like beer, tomatoe juice, or chilly, so I personally would not know. We visited for a dual birthday lunch outing. It was a really busy lunchtime. Plates included the option of red, green, or white rice and handmade tortillas. If you like Cilantro, you will love the green rice. It was really good, and I wanted more, but was too full to ask. I always appreciate handmade tortillas. You can really taste the difference and the freshness of them. I would like to try some of their seafood options, but a lot of things are spicy here. But, if spicy levels are a concern for you as they are for me, the menu item is marked if spicy. Makes choosing easier. I definitely know we will be back again for another co-worker lunch 😃 😊
