Food is fantastic and service is always great. Can't wait to try lamb..
Very good fish and chips paired with a nice, light NM lager. Mushy peas with a hint of mint and curry ketchup were an unexpected treat. Will return for oysters and garlic shrimp.
The servers were great! Colton took great care of us and made excellent recommendations. The food was also amazing. The menu is more of a smattering of NM and European food that provided good options for many pallets.
Finally made it to the Timetravelers. We had the Blistered Shishito Peppers (yum), Morrocan Beet Salad (very good & refreshing), and Fish & Chips (very good not greasy). And of course the delicious Peach Maple custard. Thank you Chef! 12/07/2025 Finally made it back to try their Happy Hour 3-5 PM menu. The Bar Snack Platter and the Bavarian Pretzel were very good. The Smash Burger was a perfection and juicy. The Maple Peach Posset was delicious.
Hubster wanted a burger and we couldn’t think of a different place to go, so I googled and found this little gem. A smaller restaurant but was definitely worth the visit. A bit more pricey than your average burger joint but was really good food. Service was phenomenal and atmosphere great. I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids. They do have kids options, but it’s not really that vibe. Like maybe a teen kid. But overall a great place and will definitely go again.
Stopped in to try out the happy hour food and got the smashburger. You get a lot of food for $11, and those seasoned battered fries are 12/10, the perfect fries in my opinion. Took home a slice of pie to eat later and that was also very good. The decor is nice and the staff is chill too. I'd get a drink and hang around longer if I wasn't such a lightweight.
I had a lovely introductory experience at Time Travelers. I’ve heard such great things and got to experience it first hand. The service was fantastic. That curry sauce was phenomenal. A $10 smash burger for happy hour??? It was awesome and the fries were perfect. Thank you Nate, Kayla and the team!! I will definitely be back. Also, as a girly with a nut allergy, I was ecstatic to see how accompanying the menu/kitchen was. 💕
Great service, lovely spot. Huge fan of the garlic shrimp. Was a hard day and the shrimp tasted like a warm hug and brought me back to a time long ago that I couldn’t quite put my finger on… which is on brand for the restaurant’s name haha. French onion soup nailed it as well. Curry fries were on point. My burger was missing that special something, a little dry, but still tasty. Overall, I’d definitely come back again.
Came here with a few friends & had a great time. Love the choices on the menu and the creativity especially in the vegan & vegetarian dishes. The cocktail was delicious and the roasted shishito pepper appetizer was fun. I got the zucchini which was really nice and plated beautifully. My friends got fish n chips, the mushroom sandwich and the fish po boy. All the dishes were well presented and made with fresh ingredients. The service was also wonderful. Would recommend!
We eat here at least once to twice a week and have enjoyed each item ordered. The happy hour smash burger is fabulous and also the French Onion Soup is deli and had fried oysters last and they were delicious. Also have had the fish and chips that were yummy also.
Category: Gastropub. We enjoyed our dinner sitting at the L-shaped bar, chatting with the friendly bartender and other guests. When we visited, which was not long after the restaurant's debut, a New Mexico-only liquor license (I didn't know there is such a thing) meant that all bar offerings were New Mexico-only. As a consequence, I enjoyed a glass of New Mexico red wine and Sarah had a New Mexico whisky-based cocktail. I ordered the Steak Frites based on the recommendation of another guest down the bar, who loves the seasoned and crispy fries. He was right. The accompanying flat iron was perfectly cooked and sliced for my convenience (I like when the kitchen slices a steak for you). Sarah loved her generously portioned Shepherd's Pie. If you read my reviews you know that I count atmosphere as highly as food and service. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars, not 5. Although the decor is comfortable and eclectic (wood tile wainscot, wide-plank wood floor, original art, interesting light fixtures, and a bamboo bar), I think it should be more time-traveler-ish in view of the great name. Dr. Who and Jules Verne come to mind. Wine suggestion: try Casa Rondena wines, from ABQ. We will be back, but hope to be transported in time on future visits. YouTube's Chef's Apprentice
A fantastic place in Las Solanas strip mall. The food was great our waitress was excellent and friendly and we all enjoyed our food. Recommend the French Onion Soup, Fish and Chips and Double smash burger! Good drinks and local beer selections. Highly recommended
We had the fish and chips, wings, and the B.L.A.T. I especially loved the BLAT, which had great locally baked rye bread that wasn’t too thick, and very tasty chipotle aioli. The time travel theme is great, and there are local beers on top along with cocktails to enliven your adventure, and options to craft your own NA beverage as well.
We dined here today. Fish & Chips (small side of delish mushy peas) and a Bangers and Mash. Posset for dessert. We were favorably impressed with the food. Everything was cooked to a high standard. The sausage is a dryer and more exotically seasoned than a standard pork sausage, but tasty, if that's what you like. The gravy was excellent – will ask for more of it next time. Excellent Mash. The chips were not a big standard British chip shape, but had a very flavorful seasoning. Very fresh with a large and crunchy fish fillet. The decor is fine, though some more attention to lighting would be good. The glare from the windows to the parking lot detracts from the interior. I'd like to see something in a beer or ale with a lower IBU. Otherwise, there was plenty of selection of drinks. We had a friendly server, and a carafe of water on the table, which we like. A very nice lunch-exceeded expectations!
We went for dinner the Sunday after Thanksgiving and sadly, will probably not return. I have been to this establishment, and it each time it seems to deliver less and less. We ordered two appetizers on the special menu: duck liver pate and the mushroom soup. The duck liver pate should have been crostinis with a hint of pate. Five crostinis were on the plate with barely any pate. Granted, the flavor was quite savory, and it just left you disappointed that there wasn’t enough. Seriously, amongst all five pieces combined, there was perhaps a quarter inch of pate, at best. The cranberry compote had an overwhelming combination of warm spices such as allspice and cloves, and I found it unappealing. The mushroom soup had a nice thick consistency, but strangely did not have a detectable mushroom flavor. The server did not know what type of local mushrooms were in the soup, and if I was blindfolded, I’m not sure if I would be able to detect what type of soup this was. It was pleasant, and not overly salted, which was nice, but was disappointing given the lack of mushroom umami. For the main courses, we ordered the Royal Steak sandwich and the fish & chips. The latter is what consistently delivers. The fish is always expertly battered and fried, and the mashed peas are always done well with minty spices. The sandwich, however, had barely any thinly sliced pieces of meat with very little grilled veggies. The pesto had a strong basil flavor, but also had slightly too much salt. It felt like I was eating mostly bread with the salty pesto with some melted cheese. The fries were plentiful, although I do not think they are hand cut. They are well cooked and seasoned. For $19, I think it’s reasonable to expect a sandwich that has a decent amount of filler. Overall, it felt like Time Traveler’s is trying to stretch their margin by providing gourmet food with very skimpy portions. Having a savory and special item, ie pate, feels disappointing when you barely have any on your plate. If you want to offer a moderately priced sandwich item, at least provide a decent amount of grilled veggies. The customer is not being fooled. The decor of this place is very cozy. The lighting and artwork are distinctive for their steampunk feel. However, that isn’t enough. The food needs to shine, not just the atmosphere.
The moment I walked in, I was at Aww. The establishment is super clean. It was a decent place to visit but to eat, not so much. The buns on my burger were burnt, the sausage was a bit too salty, and a big heads up. If you're looking to go early and missed having your morning coffee, make sure to stop somewhere first. They don't serve it here. My first experience was not so great, and It could be that they were understaffed due to them just opening.
Unfortunate experience today, We were unable to order off the happy hour menu because it was restaurant week. The waiter said we could only order off that menu if we sat at the bar, that has never been the case before and was already full. He kept trying to push the restaurant week menu on us and wasn’t being the best towards us so we decided to leave. He also claimed they were the only restaurant on that “Santa Fe restaurant week” list that is open today, which is just not true. Very disappointing because we really do love the happy hour here.
I can’t comment on the food because we were unable to give it a try. We were seated at the last open table and then, despite the server walking past our table repeatedly, as he served other tables, he refused to serve us. So, after about 30 minutes, we left. If you’re hungry , and actually want food, I’d try another spot.
