Restaurant is clean and casual with friendly staff. There are locals who are regular customers and know the staff when ordering their regular.

For how cheap this place is. Was in and out in less than 10 minutes for a take out order. Chicken was ok. Beef was ok. Wonton soup was great. Rice was ok. Vegetables were fresh. $17 for two meals and a wonton soup. Ok.

This is my 6th ordering from here. I dont believe the bad reveiws people would leave just to be spiteful. But I had a great experience everything I order take outs from here. They always busy when I show up to pickup my food. Reasonable price for the large portion I get. The food is delicious beef with string beans and moo goo gai pan with shrimp fried rice. Very delicious. We never have complaints. We like it here. Highly recommend

I got the moo goo gai pan with vegetable soup! Came with rice and egg roll! Super delicious. I didn’t eat inside I had door dash deliver but I would definitely say the service is amazing and fast based on how quickly it got my spot! Will definitely be ordering again!!

Pros: - Super fast! Oh my god, we ordered at the counter and our food was done so quickly! - MASSIVE portion sizes. One order of noodles was enough for two people - Hearty and filing and hits the spot when you want your lo mein and egg rolls Cons: - basic American-Chinese food - basic decor Overall: Really good value for money if all you want is filling, quick and cheap Chinese fast food. Don’t expect it to taste like authentic Chinese and do expect some grease and you’ll be alright!

I ordered the veggie egg roll (2), egg drop soup, Chicken fried rice and Moo Goo Gai Pan. Everything was hot and perfect they even provided different sauces. The issues is how expensive it is to have it delivered that is Door Dash fault and Grub Hub it costs almost $60

Every time I go I order white rice with egg on top or the spicy flat noodles. Both are always delish. On the flip side the restaurant does have a dirty feel to it on the inside, this could be due to maybe they just need to remodel. Also whenever I walk in the cooks in the back always stop, stare, and look at me like I'm an item on the menu. This is very annoying and uncomfortable. I assume this is how they look at women that come in. I mean the guys in the back will all just literally stop what they are doing and just gawk. Ladies pay attention to this next time. Creepy.

2/26/25: Had the Kung Pao chicken special with an egg roll and drink. Service was quick and the food was good.

We were craving Lover's Egg Roll and went to the restaurant on Coit but they closed. We could have settled for another restaurant but instead drove to this Lover's to get our fix. Ugh…just stopped in for a quick lunch and wasn’t great. I got one egg roll and sweet & sour chicken. Egg roll was small and tasted more like the grease it was fried in and the fried rice tasted burnt…like bad… Clean your pan, get a new one, something! Sorry. Won’t be back. And it was pricey.

Bare bones diner, indifferent service, lots of fried rice without vegetables! Their idea of fried rice is to take steamed rice and only put a lot of soy sauce on it!

Food was mediocre at best. Soup was bland, like they watered it down. Entrees were pretty flavorless as well, even though there was a TON of sauce, and the chicken was very chewy. Fried rice was barely fried and also lacked flavor. Only good thing was that delivery took way less than the 40 minutes they told us

I'm giving it 2 stars because as right now it hasn't given me food poisoning. Time shall tell. I don't know man... It was just ODD? I really can't compare it to any take out Chinese I've had, and I've had a lot. The chicken stick was actually like a chicken kabob, complete with onions and bell peppers. The chicken was primarily grisly fat. Not cool. The pepper steak was like none I've ever had... Very strange, almost chemical taste. I don't write reviews often, but honestly felt like I needed to warn people. If you are expecting tradition Chinese take out food, maybe look elsewhere.

Called in order in. I was told 15 to 20 min. It was 50 min. $15 minimum and a $3 charge for delivery. Pad Thai beef sucked. Singapore rice noodle was not bad less Chinese more Thai like definitely a curry base. Oh and I was 2.2 miles away from them they probably could have run it to me faster. I won't be using them again.

It was such a mistake to order from this place. We ordered vegetarian dish along with meat dish. First of food arrived all dripping into each other, meat dish being on top. Very poor packaging and poor Uber delivery. In addition, all food was very blend, not much taste. Pad Tai had almost all pasta but any vegetables They put some soy sauce packets but no red chilli pepper sauce. Left overs very absolutely inedible. Will not order from this place again.

Decided to try this place out because I am a big fan of pineapple fried rice. I had looked up their menu before hand And was pretty convinced It would be a decent meal. The food I received was completely awful. It was basically fried rice With pineapple chunks added. Usually There are cashews, cucumber, and fully cooked chicken. The chicken was so undercooked i’m not sure how they dared to serve that.

Ordered this for dinner. I def would not recommend nor will we be back. Sweet and sour chicken came with the smallest 2ounce sauce to use for a dinner size chicken dinner. The chicken was extra crispy, almost burned tasting. No veggies or pineapple like other places do. We also order hunan beef, it was ok. Edible but not good.

I ordered tonight. And our order was delivered in a timely manner. But to be honest, I wish it had been late. Because maybe that would have allowed them to make our order fresh. We order the cream cheese wantons and they were luke warm and chewy instead of crunchy and tasted as if they had been put in grease and refried so that they could be warm. My fried rice was totally ruined. Just re heated and not prepared fresh. We also ordered a noodle dish. It was the only thing hot. Needless to say, during this time with the economy people not being able to go out, shouldn't businesses make sure food and service is great, just so they can keep their doors open. Because remember we as consumers have choices of were we spend our money. And Lovers egg roll you got the last dollar you will get from me. I will not visit or order from there again.

Ordered the Pad Thai last night, it actually tasted like vomit. I don’t complain about food and this is my bad first review, but I have genuinely never had a dish taste that bad. I asked my boyfriend to try it and he eats everything, he could not have another bite because it tasted like vomit to him too. The dish he got: orange chicken and fried rice was tasty and he enjoyed it.

This is the worst possible customer service experience of my life!!! I went in with my 4yr old son and order egg fried rice with no vegetables regular(no meat) and also a combo fried rice no veg extra spicy. Food came out and I inspected the food like I always do. They had the combo correct, but the egg fried rice they added vegetables. I informed the guy of the error. Rather than apologize and fix the error, this dude started arguing saying it was my fault the food came out wrong, he stated that I mentioned regular and no veggies in the same sentence, so therefore, regular negates no veggies. At this point he refused to fix the order, and I asked for my money back. Due to this rude and unbelievably unprofessional buffoons attitude, my son started to get upset. This guy also kept us in his store for over 20mins refusing to refund our payment until he had to call a manager to show him how a refund is done. Bottom line, I would not even wish my worst enemy to eat or order from a place where my money and person would be disrespected like this! Worst day ever!!!!

So picture this. A coworker and I walk into Lovers for lunch. We had been to the location a few times before and enjoyed their meals. Today however, after a few bites in, my coworker finds a ROACH mixed into her fried rice.To add, the staff was not at all surprised. She blandly asks “do you want to just refund both meals?” I say “absolutely”. There are other customers ordering as this exchange is happening, she just closes our lids and continues on. We are disgusted and obviously will not return. They should be shutdown.

I went to Lover’s egg roll hoping to have some delicious crab rangoons. I went up to the counter and specifically asked for crab rangoons and the cashier happily allowed us to pay for them. I got my food and there was absolutely no crab in the rangoons only cream cheese. I went up to the cashier and told them there wasn’t crab in the crab Rangoons i ordered. The cashier then tells me they don’t have crab Rangoons they only have cream cheese. I was confused because their menu specifically says “crab Rangoons” and i mentioned that. They said that i ordered off the old menu and they have a new one then gestured to me the other menu they had available. The cashier saw me looking at the giant menu they had on the wall that they claimed was the old menu, let me order off of it, allowed me to order the item the no longer sell and gave me something totally different than what i got. I told them i didn’t want what they gave me and they never allowed me to have an alternative nor did they offer me my money back. Will never be back.

First time ordering from here. I ordered 4 items. I ate 2 out of the 4 that I ordered. My order and complaint is as follows: 2 Chicken Spring Rolls, BY FAR THE WORST SPRING ROLLS i have ever HAD!!! The iceberg lettuce was not chopped or cut for that matter, which made the rice paper tear... The lettuce was OLD, very bad taste had to TRASH!!!. 1 Chicken Lettuce Wrap: Lettuce was old. Bitter taste... Mostly the HARD WHITE portion of the lettuce.. 1 Chicken and Snow Peas in BROWN SAUCE with steamed rice, not White garlic sauce. Meal came in white garlic sauce with MOSTLY WATER CHESTNUT very LITTLE CHICKEN.. Very UNHAPPY with this ORDER WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN!!!

The good - it was edible. The bad - 1. It was ready in less than 2 minutes which means it was batch cooked and reheated. Explains why it was cold in a few minutes. 2. I was warned at 5 minutes to close that they were about to close. I've waited tables 20 years and never warned a customer we were about to close. The whole experience including interaction with staff was just as minimal as possible. Didn't feel valued or appreciated in any way. Will not return.

Ordered a spicy Pad Thai and was given a plate sitting on their counter covered in plastic wrap. When I asked for a fresh dish they said it was just made and not touched, and when I asked for a refund, they did not honor it. Disappointed, do not recommend or trust their food quality.

Staff is a rude as hell, came in on the evening of 4/1/22 and placed an order in person to pick up and take to go, I hit “no tip” because why? I’m already there to pick up the food. They aren’t serving me and this isn’t door dash. The cashier yelled “no tip” and the staff continued to just stand there and take forever to make the food. Horrible practice of business. Won’t be back.
