Cavalli Cafe Alameda Reviews
Prior to this visit I had possibly the best Cannoli I have ever had. Today we tried the Mille-Feuille (Napoleon Pastry). It was outstanding. Also tried the almond cookies. Outstanding also. I had a wonderful espresso and my friend had a latte with soy milk. Nice little place with room to sit upstairs and people watch on the busy corner below.
Great coffee and bakery with delicious offerings of both. They take card or cash - it’s amazing that so many paces only take cash. Staff were helpful and friendly. Funky and welcoming vibe and a fun place to hang out.
An authentic cafe! We had craving for dessert and luckily we were right by this place. We were really surprised by the food and great service we got here. Fresh and delicious tiramisu and cannoli which you can never forget. This place has this atmospheres of an italian cafe which adds up to whole experience. People were really having good time here. And the prices are just right. Do go if you are around, stop by for coffee or dessert, look no further…! Note- cannoli is a must try!
Pretty darn good for SF. Not Bronx New York quality, but for SF this was one of the best cannolis I’ve had here in ten years. WORLDS better than Mara’s bakery around the block. The cannoli was not too sweet and the ingredients were fresh. Presentation was beautiful. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was excellent with an uncrowded nook upstairs where I enjoyed a nice chat overlooking the busy street. Two old gentleman speaking Italian downstairs while the Latino service staff manned the counter. I went during a weeknight so it wasn’t crowded. This was my desert stop after Tony’s slice shop down the block. Overall, a very positive experience.
Delicious little find after dinner. Had a cannoli and this almond cherry cookie. That cookie was simply divine! The cannoli was tasty and filled to order, so the shell is crispy. That cookie though, I would go back just for that! If they have it, GET IT!!!
Here’s why these are the best cannoli I have ever found and, believe me, I’ve looked: The cheese/sweet filling balance is perfect; the flavor and tender/flaky/crispy balance of the shell is perfect; the garnishes are traditional for good reason; the presentation is mouthwatering, and the filling and garnishing don’t happen until you order it, which is hugely important. Just perfect.
Outstanding local Italian cafe that’s open late and serves excellent cappuccino, cannoli, and tiramisu. The ambiance is cute and friendly. Definitely coming here again!
Drove past this place and thought the exterior was so cute, so we braved through finding parallel parking to stop by. The people who work here were so nice and helpful when I asked questions. We loved the desserts and coffee that we got. Would definitely recommend if you’re in SF!
We ordered cappuccino, latte and almond croissant. Everything was so good, especially cappuccino😋😋😋The service is friendly, you can always have a seat here, highly recommend.

A Moroccan fella we know pointed us at this place. Sitting outside having the chats, an amazing cannoli and a take away tiramisu were all fantastic. Classic Italian recipes and heritage, nice service and chat from the owners and that neighborhood feeling are top notch! Well done!
I visited Cavalli Cafe in San Francisco - North Beach, CA. It has a lot of things including the classic shows, original pictures, and others. My favorite juice was the orange juice. These streets are clean and beautiful in the luxury town and city of San Francisco - North Beach. I love San Francisco so much.

Coffee until 11:00 p.m., that's an automatic win for me. Cavalli delivers exactly what they promise, it's all pretty good. And so far I've met only Espresso Experts behind the counter.
We tried the tiramisu, cannoli, and espresso, and all were excellent. The cannoli was my favorite - the subtle hint of orange peel made it unforgettable.
Nice spot with good drink and bakery options! Like others have said the patio is often occupied by people smoking and the bus stop right out front makes it rather busy. So head upstairs and enjoy the quieter view of the street below! I’m not sure if I just don’t love cannoli or have never had a good one. This one was okay. I appreciate that it was filled upon ordering and the presentation was nice. $9 feels a little steep but oh well. I also got a strawberry smoothie and it was really good (but also a bit pricey).
Cannoli is pretty fantastic. Service was ok. Great little cafe and sneak upstairs if you’re after some peace and quiet
They only have one cannoli type/flavor but it did taste good. The service was quick and easy. They even have seating in the second level that is quiet and nice. The only issue is that there was quite a few people smoking outside nearly the entire time and the smoke smell was blowing in. It is possible that this was a one time thing but it may not be. If no one is smoking outside I think this is a great place for an espresso and pastry! Try it out.
Came for the cannoli, they have one type and it’s $9, it has a ricotta filling dipping in crushed pistachios on one side and mini chocolate chips on the other. It was really good!! I will crave it. And I love the seating upstairs, a cool vibe. My only gripe is the price is so so high.
Simple local run cafe. I often see artistic people sitting & working. The bus stand outside makes the entrance a bit rough. Enjoyed almond croissant, coconut cake, and coffee.
This bakery is famous for its fresh pastries. We tried their biscuits and their custard filled pastry. The custard is fresh and fluffy and not too sweet. Their biscuits were freshly baked and the had fresh pulpy fruit flavors. Their biscuits were soft and not too sweet. This place is cheap and also their service is polite and friendly. I would definitely come back to try their cheesecake and tiramisu which was highly rated and we missed them.
Came for a connolo after having pizza at Tony's. The pastry was delicate and the filling was excellent. Very similar to Sicilian cannoli. Also ordered an iced chai and mocha. The chai was more sweet than spicy and the mocha was balanced. Was hoping for some more flavorful / stronger drinks.

We want them because it said they have the best tiramisu and cannoli, and it was open in 2006. Inside they record their history and its seems like move a couple times. They were open a long time ago earlier than 2006. There were plenty of seats inside, the server were very nice to us and serve as fast. Tiramisu was freshly made, and it tastes really authentic and good. The cannoli , however, was very stale and tasted like brick. The cream was also not fresh and too thick. I wouldn’t say they had best cannoli in the town. I will recommend going to Victoria pastry for tiramisu and cannoli.

It is open late which is a good move for this place because most other cafes serving up pastries are closed by this time. I went in on a whim because the place has a decent reputation. The cannolo I got was very good, it was plated beautifully and I enjoyed it very much. The iced coffee was excellent, perfectly made, and I also enjoyed it very much. The young ladies working there were friendly and overall the experience was good.
