We were out of towners staying in the city for the week. We randomly found Eastern Nights and decided to give it a try. My husbands very particular about his sheesha and this place delivered. It wasn’t just about the sheesha, but the hospitality and CARE for their customers—regulars or not— shows. The employees are hard working to say the least. Our first night here, I legit heard Mohammad, one of the workers here, offer a regular customer his jacket before going out bc it got too freaking cold out. Imagine. We’ve been to many places around the world, but the care for customers at EN shows. The sheesha was also wonderful. Thank you for being our night cap, and we will definitely be returning next time!

I am gonna be very honest about this place. I love it! I tried many other places but this is the spot that never disappoint me, you feel like home when you start hanging out here. Their hookah is always good and they always serve you the best they have. People who work here are all very nice and polite always with a smile on their faces and they deserve so much more. So if you are in the area or even if you aren’t ( like me ) go there and you are not gonna regret it!

We were in a medium group of people with only a few smokers, but they insisted that we need to get more hookahs than what we actually needed. They charged more than in the menu card, and said some silly reasons for the extra charge. It has a good ambience and lot of hookah flavors though.

Better spot available in this neighborhood. Order the Pan Hookah and it tasted like burned flavor for the entire duration. Told the server multiple times and he said it's fine. Had a pot of tea which was okay also. Service is average.

I just cannot understand how this place has so many 4 and 5 Stars. Hookah was only average, could barely taste the flavor. My friend and I, both felt it was way overrated.

The server named by Mohamed is the worst guy i have ever faced at any hookah lounge. He aggressively refused me when i asked him to return a can of drink and abused me as saying that he can’t take it back. Unbelievable abusive behavior faced at Eastern Nights by the Server named by Mohamed. Will not come here again

Staff and owner are unprofessional, insult customers, and fight with them for no reason. This was my first experience in a hookah place and likely the last. The Cafe/hookah place staff was asked whether they know if a customer/staff they have talked to for about half an hour is available. This was for a friend with me who was interested in getting to know that customer/staff but was shy to speak. Instead of answering the question, the staff just ignored the question and left. This is unprofessional. If they don’t know, don’t want to answer or feel it’s an inappropriate question, the staff should have just said I don’t know and left. Upon asking another staff to come for the check, the staff got offended for being asked to come over and said I don’t work for you and wanted to fight. When it was responded to him that isn’t this the job of the cafe to offer service to their customers, the staff advised/claimed that he’s the owner and said I don’t work for anybody, get out of my cafe. Again, the staff/owner lost his temper as if you were speaking to a child, not an adult, and kept screaming in the middle of the cafe. My friends tried to diffuse the situation and tried to understand the reasons for the rage, just to find the staff continuing to argue with them. Then, the staff/owner is again misinterpreting this as if my friends were apologizing. Again, not sure how they managed to stay in business with these behaviors and manners, but the advice is be very careful in this place if you decided it’s actually worth a shot!!!!

Updated: I stopped by in the afternoon just to have a hot drink and get some work done. There were almost no other patrons at the time. One of the staff members seemed upset that I wasn’t ordering hookah and was loudly shouting in the back, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. Ironically, this is actually my regular spot, and I usually come here for hookah almost every day. That said, I’ve been coming here for many years, and overall it has been a great place. The prices are decent, the hookah is excellent, and it’s a comfortable spot to finish work or hang out with friends. The Middle Eastern ambiance is great, and most of the staff are friendly. Management generally cares about their customers, which is why this incident stood out as disappointing.

Astoria Community

This establishment Eastern Nights has become a serious nuisance to the community. The late night gatherings with tables and chairs set outside are extremely disruptive, because same group of people never fail to shout and make loud noise and inconsiderate behavior that completely disregards the peace of the neighborhood in late night hours.
