I've been eating here as a fast food. I can say it's the best in the region in terms of authentic food and atmosphere!

I love merguez and fries. Reminds me of my time in France in 90s. What a treat, pizza merguez frites et flan to be shared for 2. Loved the food and service was great. Just one note (make sure fries are re-heated before mating with bread and merguez).

For what it is (a hole in the wall that serves Moroccan style sandwiches) it’s very good. I could see it being somewhere i went multiple times a week if it were closer to home.

It was delicious! The fries and sausage in a sandwich is a delicious combo! The staff there are the kindest people ever. They took great care of my brother and I. It felt like home 😭😁

First and foremost their food is exceptional comfort food - from the flavor profiles to the way it’s cooked, it’s nice to have them in the neighborhood and a few blocks away at that! Their platters are good for a full dinner meal, they usually throw in a few pieces of bread as well. Their sandwiches are fresh and well balanced - overall delicious. Their customer service is top notch and everyone is kind. My one and only gripe? Their consistency with delivery. It’s such a 50/50 experience. It’s either they’re out of something you order or it’s cancelled altogether, mind you I’m not ordering right before closing but 2/3 hours before - really frustrating aspect of their business because we at the end of the day, we just want good food and to give them our business. I hope they improve on foresight and broadcasting, because it’s vital to customer retention. However! - never had a problem ordering in person. Cheers to Merguez & Frites! Love them despite the deliver issues and they are SO WORTH IT!

Easiest 5 star I’ve ever given. Saw this on a YouTube video, came from Toronto and this was my first stop… despite some incredible meals on my NYC trip - this was the best food, atmosphere, service, everything.

This place has always been great. I love their authentic flavors and generous portions for a fair price. Today I decided to call in for a sandwich while waiting outside on my bike. The cashier was super friendly and helpful and even gave me a slice of their awesome pizza to eat while I waited. Far more accommodating to a cyclist than I normally expect. Thanks guys!

This is a halal Algerian spot with very authentic food. They have sandwiches and platters and some flavorful side dishes. I had the merguez sandwich and chicken sandwich, and a couple side dishes. The Merguez was amazing, very delicious sausage type dish in a hero roll with fries inside. There's not a lot of seating space so it's a great takeout spot.

Algerian street style food, it tastes exactly Algerian, I’m saying that because the man inside is Mexican. He loves Algerian culture and he is so generous

A must-stop every time I fly from LGA; their Pizza carré feels like it's been teleported from downtown Algiers streets. While I used to order the plain version, my latest visit introduced me to a new variant with toppings. It practically called my name, and naturally, I had to give it a try. The taste was absolutely delightful. Please disregard the somewhat unappealing white sauce I added on top – that's a common Algerian touch :)

My husband and I recently visited NYC and added this place to our list because of Action Bronson’s show. We ordered the merguez and frites sandwich and their Algerian cheeseburger. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I am very picky when it comes to burgers because a lot of restaurants rely on condiments to give the burger flavor but the patty alone was packed with lots of flavor. Definitely would stop by again if we are ever in NY.

This spot offers some amazing Algerian based sandwiches & dishes. As a pescatarian, options can be slim but this Algerian Pizza was outrageously flavorful & the Algerian Chickpea Pie Sandwich was outstanding. Highly recommend for any sandwich lover!

If it’s good enough for Bronson, it’s good enough for me. As a first time visitor here, I went with the classic Merg and Frites and the plain corner square slice. Let me tell you, no matter where you live, it is definitely worth the trip here. Flavorful, perfectly spiced, balanced. I know I’ll be back soon to explore their menu with the help of their super friendly staff. I just might be a Merguez and Frites Freak.

Absolutely fantastic sandwiches. After coming here for our first time, my friend and I had to revisit soon after. They’ve mastered the Merguez sandwich, although their others are definitely worth trying too! The staff is always friendly, and the whole restaurant smells amazing. If you’ve never had Algerian food, give them a try as soon as you can! Their Merguez is amazing and well seasoned. Truly couldn’t ask for anything better than what they’re serving here.

SO DAMN GOOD. Seriously incredible food. Had the half chicken and merguez baguette and can’t wait to eat it again. Also, so affordable.

Lovely spot with delicious traditional Algerian specialties. The Merguez & fries sandwich is a must ( the fries are fresh cut & fried to perfection), the staff was very friendly & informative. The pizza would need a bit more tomato sauce as it is almost inexistant. I will definitely go back!

ALGERIA 🇩🇿 Excerpt from Eat the World NYC: Some addresses in New York City just seem to be cursed and never hold a tenant for very long. The previous business here was a not dissimilar Moroccan sandwich shop that only called it home for a short time. The newer owners hail from the neighbors to the east: Algeria, a country without a ton of representation in the city (One Algerian-ish place in the East Village and now-closed Bar Omar in Williamsburg precede this). The main offerings here are again sandwiches, those wildly popular on the streets of the capital Algiers and other cities. There you will find a diet high in meat intake, often with lamb being the most popular and readily available. The foods of France are of course no stranger to the once-colonized land, and baguettes circulate along with other Algerian breads. The combination of lamb, the French baguette, and fries which seem to find their way onto and into many other foods, give the place its name and a sense of what you will find. Looking to the top of the menu, the merguez frites ($7) seems like the obvious place to start here. The baguette is of very good quality, as are the sausages, especially for such a low price for a sandwich longer than a foot.

Very nice and simple cozy little dining area with very few tables. The food is delicious. kofta "ground beef" seasoned with Mediterranean spices. Margaz wish is there specialty is like sausage is served on a plate or in a sandwich. Over all the place looks very clean. In my opinion its a nice addition to the neighborhood 😋. The oven grilled half chicken is my favorite 😃 I'm afraid I will make chicken sounds in my sleep 😂 or get feathers on my skin from eating it so much 😋😂😂

Great & Tasty Algerian Mediterranean food, those people are one of the best Halal restaurant in NYC Area. I can’t wait for my next visit. I suggest everyone to try them out. Highly recommended ✅

The food is good, and prices are reasonable. My friends and I are practically regulars, but the latest salesperson they hired is rude, and makes me not want to go back there.

I wanted to try a plate and it was showing 14 dollar in the menu and then when all done they charged me 28 dollar after I complain they give my money back in cash. It’s so frustrating when people think you are stupid and they can stole your money.
