Goyana Albans Reviews
This place is a little taste of Brazil. Very cozy and lively, the decor and atmosphere give off a spectacular vibe. I love all the dishes and drinks. The ambiance brings happiness, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend for a great Brazilian bite in the Big Apple! Cheers 💙❤️
I had a great experience at Bar Goyana. I absolutely loved the drinks — Goyana was definitely the best one. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly... The atmosphere is also really nice, cozy, and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!
It's always a delight going to Goyana! Delicious food, amazing drinks, and a lovely atmosphere. The queijo coalho, pineapple, and margaritas are the best. Seriously, THE best margs. Love it here.
I am a 'biased' regular customer. The entire menu is glorious. Oysters in a half shell, were tasty, and meaty. The rather traditional fried calamari platter, goes to a next level here: crispy, tender, tasty, and the chef-made, dipping sauce 'hits it over the wall'. I will keep coming back for more!
If you want to experience Brazilian culture in its energy, something simple and easy, this is a great spot. High quality musicians, events, good energy and, Brazilians, which elevates anywhere’s mood 🤭🇧🇷 I was just passing by, and stayed longer than I expected—it’s magnetic. Next time I’m gonna try their food and drinks.
The spot's millennial core decor didn't overshadow the super friendly service. The drinks were consistently well-balanced and delicious. Ordering everything on the menu revealed the kitchen's consistent quality. The coxinha stood out, crispy on the outside with a delicious filling, enhanced by the awesome green sauce. The stews and meat dishes were all nicely executed, tender, and flavorful. This place offers an overall excellent dining experience, and the prices are reasonable. The coxinha's textural contrast, crispy exterior and soft filling, was a highlight, the herbaceous and slightly acidic green sauce complemented it well. The meat dishes showed tender cuts, signaling careful preparation and appropriate cooking. The stews were rich and deeply flavored, indicating skillful layering of ingredients. Portion sizes were appropriate for the prices, enhancing the value. The ambiance, despite its specific aesthetic, was secondary to the food. The friendly service added to the welcoming atmosphere. This joint is commendable for its consistent quality and value, making it a worthwhile dining destination.
I had an amazing family lunch at this Brazilian restaurant, and everything was perfect. The warm, tropical, and classic ambiance made us feel right at home. I started with an Aperol Spritz, which was perfectly refreshing, and enjoyed a delicious beef stroganoff—tender, flavorful, and comforting. The service was outstanding; the staff was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. It’s a fantastic spot for a relaxed yet memorable meal. Highly recommend it for anyone craving authentic Brazilian flavors!
We had a great lunch yesterday with Jovana- the food was so good and we loved the service and feel of the Bar/Dining Room. We sat at a high top and had the Pastel, Queijo Coalho, and Jalepeno Parmesan Pao de queijo - then of course… TWO feijoadas. My wife had their incredible capareñas (guava/passion fruit), and I had multiple Duvals. Delicious meal, can’t wait to come back.
Bar Goyana is the most lovely, welcoming taste of Brazil in NYC. My husband and I were first introduced to this gem by friends, and then knew that we had to have our wedding dinner here. My husband is from Rio de Janeiro and was thrilled to find a Brazilian spot so close to us. Jackie and Johan (the owners) are truly the best - some of the nicest people we’ve ever met ❤️ They helped make our day so special. Now we love going for any occasion and especially love going for the parties and themed nights they host!
The drinks are creative and truly fantastic. The Belgian Beer selection is unparalleled. Bar Goyana is both an amazing cozy date bar and a summer outdoor gem. A gem in East Harlem. And besides being the best Brazilian place Uptown, it now is arguably is the best Brazilian bar in New York City.
I can’t say enough of good things in this restaurant. The cocktails are fancy and delicious so we got 2 glasses for each of us! The appetizers are just incredible tasty(we ordered 4 out of 6 from the menu) so I recommend you should try all of them. Moreover, you MUST try Brazilian Chicken Fricasse OMG it’s sooooo goooood!!!! The staffs are very efficient, happy, and polite. Highly recommended for Bar Goyana!!!! We’ll definitely be back soon :)) sorry I didn’t have a lot of food pics(it’s all gone so quickly right after they put them on the table 😂)
I absolutely love Bar Goyana. Charming Warm Cozy Tropical!!! I came here to watch a world cup game and the staff here were extremely friendly and accommodating. The menu is refreshingly different being that Bar Goyana is a Brazilian/Belgian bar. A fantastic variety of Brazilian dishes and Belgian beer. Pro-tip: Don't skip on the Pao de Queijo! I highly recommend getting the prosciutto filled ones! 6 come in one order. I'll definitely come back!
This spot is such a gem! Perfect place for a date night or a chill dinner and drinks night with a few friends. Wonderful twist on some very homey Brazilian bites and the caipirinhas are perfectly.. and I mean perfectly made! Our bartender named Ish took care of us last weekend and did such an amazing job with everything! This place is a whole vibe and so cute!- we will most definitely be returning.
This place is an absolute hidden gem in Harlem! Delicious cocktails and appetizers!! On the weekends the serve a traditional Brazilian feijoada, sooo yummy! The staff are so friendly and welcoming! Just want to hang by their bar for an hour and try the entire menu! Thank you goyana team for the incredible hospitality!
I LOVE this place like seriously LOVE this place. The bartender is exceptional both in his customer service and drinks. I visited again last night to take my sister who was visiting from California. I watched the young bartender manage all the tables in both rooms by himself. Amazing job! He is quite the asset to the establishment and should be cloned!! 😁Like me, my sister loved the food and the wonderful drinks. She also loved the decor. If I had to say one negative thing it would be the temperature, it was extremely COLD in the restaurant. Pretty much everyone dining kept their coats on and at our table, we huddled together. I understand that some older buildings may have problems with the heat but PLEASE invest in more heaters. One small heater for the entire back room is grossly insufficient. People try to escape the cold outside when they dine out not eat in it🙏🏻
